Cleon Skousen received his Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University Law School and was later admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and before the District Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. His professional background included 16 years with the FBI, four years as a chief of police and 10 years as a university professor. He was founder of the National Center for Constitutional Studies which originated in 1971. After the American election of 1980, Skousen was appointed to the Council for National Policy, a think tank of influential politicians, scholars and academics that lent support and advice to President Ronald Reagan’s administration.

We understood what this outpouring of interest meant – There was a glaring need for America to return to basic Principles and Values.  And we did not require you to agree with everything on the list.  Glenn stated that if you only supported 7 of the 9 Principles (and you get to pick which 7), then you stood with us.  No matter what your party affiliation – if you are a proud 9/12er,  you are one of us.

We offered reading lists – you made those books best-sellers.  We suggested news stories to help keep you abreast of the vital issues – you made those issues bigger and your voices have created a dialogue with Washington DC that has not been this active since the 1960s.  Well Done!

The days, weeks, months and years ahead will all be better if we realize that Principles and Values matter.  And if we stick to these Principles and Values and work to restore honor in ourselves and demand the same from our elected officials, then no problem is too great and America has a bright future ahead.

Many of you have heard me say that this project, this mission is really about the truth. My personal mantra is “TRUTH HAS NO AGENDA.” The truth does not need to be defended.  It is it’s own defense.

As your Editor-At-Large, I have been honored to be part of this vital source for information and in many cases, source of inspiration.  There are a host of improvements and updates on the drawing board for the year(s) ahead, but the project really belongs to you.  Please continue to grow the 9-12 Project with your ideas and stories of successes and struggles.  There is an army of goodwill within our ranks, a rich knowledge base available to all who ask. The Dick-Armey-led group FreedomWorks, which has developed relationships with the tea party movement and helped organize the meeting of activists in DC, is organizing a protest of “ObamaCare 2.0″ at the House office buildings March 16, according to the event’s page at the FreedomWorks website.  The rally is scheduled to last from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with protesters meeting at the Cannon building and “storming all three.”

The group is planning for activists to bus in, providing information on District bus drop-offs and permits previously given out for the Glenn-Beck-inspired 9.12 march on Washington last September.

The overwhelming response is to continue with the Sunday evening candlelight vigils as long as ObamaCare is being considered by Congress.The Naples Tea Party will join with local groups and individuals, and hold a candlelight vigil Sunday, March 14th, at 7:30 in the evening on U.S. 41 in downtown Naples along the sidewalk in front of the Naples Community Hospital parking garage.

Let’s build on the 100 plus Patriots who attended the first vigil.

State Rep. Cory Gardner, University of Colorado Regent Tom Lucero, former Fort Collins City Council member Diggs Brown and Loveland businessman Dean Madere will meet in an event 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Mountain View High School, 3500 Mountain Lion Drive.

Hosting the event will be the Northern Colorado Tea Party; Fort Collins We Will Not Fall 912; Loveland 912 Project; Windsor 912 group; and the Longmont 912/Tea Party. Moderating the event will be radio host Amy Oliver.
