3/15: More From Your Project Chair and Editor At Large
It has been quite hectic since Friday’s special anniversary program. Thank you for increasing traffic to the site by over 500%. We hope that you will use the site for information/education as well as contribute it’s growth as we change in very near future. Your interest and input has energized us, but we cannot do this alone. As Glenn has stated so often, this is YOUR project. Take part in as much as your life will permit.

In the coming weeks you should start seeing some large-scale changes here. We will offer improved methods of connecting to one another, as well as advice and support on what to do once you connect. For the time being, www.meetup.com continues to be a place where we direct many in search of a local 9-12 gathering.

3/12: 9/12 Project One Year Later – “The Truth Has No Agenda”
It was 52 weeks ago that Glenn stood in front of the Fox News cameras to announce the 9/12 Project. This site launched and was immediately crushed by an avalanche of interest from you. Over 50,000 hits per second fried a bank of servers for most of the weekend. Each time we managed to migrate the data and relaunch, you did it again. THANK YOU FOR THE SLEEPLESS WEEKEND.
We understood what this outpouring of interest meant – There was a glaring need for America to return to basic Principles and Values. And we did not require you to agree with everything on the list. Glenn stated that if you only supported 7 of the 9 Principles (and you get to pick which 7), then you stood with us. No matter what your party affiliation – if you are a proud 9/12er, you are one of us.
We offered reading lists – you made those books best-sellers. We suggested news stories to help keep you abreast of the vital issues – you made those issues bigger and your voices have created a dialogue with Washington DC that has not been this active since the 1960s. Well Done!
The days, weeks, months and years ahead will all be better if we realize that Principles and Values matter. And if we stick to these Principles and Values and work to restore honor in ourselves and demand the same from our elected officials, then no problem is too great and America has a bright future ahead.
Many of you have heard me say that this project, this mission is really about the truth. My personal mantra is “TRUTH HAS NO AGENDA.” The truth does not need to be defended. It is it’s own defense.
As your Editor-At-Large, I have been honored to be part of this vital source for information and in many cases, source of inspiration. There are a host of improvements and updates on the drawing board for the year(s) ahead, but the project really belongs to you. Please continue to grow the 9-12 Project with your ideas and stories of successes and struggles. There is an army of goodwill within our ranks, a rich knowledge base available to all who ask. Happy 1st Birthday 912 Project!
3/11: Patriots to ‘Storm’ Capitol Hill
Tea Partiers plan to go to U.S. Capitol to oppose health care bill:
The Dick-Armey-led group FreedomWorks, which has developed relationships with the tea party movement and helped organize the meeting of activists in DC, is organizing a protest of “ObamaCare 2.0″ at the House office buildings March 16, according to the event’s page at the FreedomWorks website. The rally is scheduled to last from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with protesters meeting at the Cannon building and “storming all three.”
The group is planning for activists to bus in, providing information on District bus drop-offs and permits previously given out for the Glenn-Beck-inspired 9.12 march on Washington last September.
3/11: Tea Partiers Keep Vigil Against ObamaCare
The Naples Tea Party will join with local groups and individuals to hold a candlelight vigil Sunday, March 14th:
The overwhelming response is to continue with the Sunday evening candlelight vigils as long as ObamaCare is being considered by Congress.The Naples Tea Party will join with local groups and individuals, and hold a candlelight vigil Sunday, March 14th, at 7:30 in the evening on U.S. 41 in downtown Naples along the sidewalk in front of the Naples Community Hospital parking garage.
Let’s build on the 100 plus Patriots who attended the first vigil.
3/11: 912 Groups Host Forum
Four Colorado 912 groups host candidate forum in an effort to educate voters:
State Rep. Cory Gardner, University of Colorado Regent Tom Lucero, former Fort Collins City Council member Diggs Brown and Loveland businessman Dean Madere will meet in an event 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Mountain View High School, 3500 Mountain Lion Drive.
Hosting the event will be the Northern Colorado Tea Party; Fort Collins We Will Not Fall 912; Loveland 912 Project; Windsor 912 group; and the Longmont 912/Tea Party. Moderating the event will be radio host Amy Oliver.
3/8: Tea Partiers Help Craft Utah Resolution
Utah State Sovreignty Resolution created in part by The Utah 9.12 States’ Rights Coalition is on its way to the governor’s office:
Sen. Howard Stephenson introduced the State Sovereignty and Tenth Amendment Resolution, SJR-6, on January 12th. It was created in the spring of 2009 by citizens for citizens. The Utah 9.12 States’ Rights Coalition, with the guidance of Larry Jensen (Utah Grassroots Alliance Coordinator), Chris Strause and many others, formed the message. After looking for someone to support it and present it Larry finally found Sen. Stephenson willing to tackle this critical resolution before it was the ‘popular’ thing to do.
3/8: Tea Partiers Host Forum in Colorado
Colorado’s Loveland 912 Project is hosting a Candidate Forum for the office of Larimer County Sheriff:
The Loveland 912 Project is hosting a Candidate Forum for the office of Larimer County Sheriff. All of the candidates have been invited. Carl Bruning, Justin Smith and Al Ohms will be in attendance.
This forum is open to the public. The candidates will be given five minutes for an opening statement, followed by two prepared questions and then we will be taking questions from the audience.
3/8: Candidate Forum For Political Involvement
Ohio Liberty Council, which includes several 912 groups, is hosting candidate a forum to involve more people in the political process:
The Ohio Liberty Council is sponsoring the 5:30 p.m. candidates night at the Madison Building, 105 S. Paint St., as one of four appearances across the 18th District designed to bring candidates together to answer voters’ questions. The council is a coalition of several organizations in Ohio, including the Buckeye Firearms Association, Central Ohio 9/12 Project, Cincinnati 9/12 Project, Cincinnati Tea Party, Young Americans for Liberty-OSU, Dayton Tea Party and Ohio Freedom Alliance.

Despite a FULL YEAR of debate, town halls and grass roots protesting, the Obama Administration is set to defy the will of the American people and ram Health Care Reform through Congress using shady deals and parliamentary gimmickry.
3/4: Marietta 9.12 Project Set to Host Sheriff Mack to Discuss States Rights
Local grassroots organization, the Marietta 9-12 Project, looks forward to hosting author, speaker and advocate for state’s rights, Sheriff Richard Mack, at a speech and dinner on Friday, March 12 at the Holy Smoke Event Center in Whipple, OH.
Mack became nationally known in 1997 after he and a Montana sheriff both filed actions against the federal government. In Printz v. United States, the two sheriffs challenged the constitutionality of the Brady Handgun Violence Protection Act of 1993, specifically the provision that compelled a national background check on all firearm sales. They won against the government with a Supreme Court majority of five justices.
