Cincinnati Tea Party
From this weekend. Having a party? Send us your video!
*** Note From Glenn – March 15, 2009 ***
I think one of the problems we have not only in the media but in our own discussions is the fact that we concentrate too much on the other guy.
I would like to challenge each user of this site to avoid falling into the trap of ‘bashing’ the other side. Instead, let’s make this a forum about us and what we believe. We can challenge those beliefs but let’s do it in the spirit of growth. We cannot grow if we only fight straw men arguments and I believe the same is true if we get pulled off the track of our principles and into an argument about what the other side or party is doing.
Let the questions be:
What do I believe is true?
What principle does this problem or solution violate or embrace?
How can I wake others up to the truth of natures principles?
Let this quote settle in you:
“Question with boldness even the very existence of God, for if there be a God, he must surely rather Honest Questions over blindfolded fear.” From a letter to Peter Carr from Thomas Jefferson.
Jefferson was speaking on the subject of religion but I have applied this to all things. Be someone that no longer asks questions to bait, trap or trick. Ask HONEST QUESTIONS. Really seek the truth and then be brave enough to accept it no matter where you find it. We must not be married to parties, politics or people but rather the truth. Let us seek it together and when we find it, defend it pledging our lives, fortunes and sacred honor.

BEST COMMENTS OF THE WEEK:
From the tens of thousands of posts we have selected a few that demonstrate the principles and values of the 912 Project. They are a small sample of what we love about this project – YOUR INPUT, YOUR LEADERSHIP and YOUR ACTION!
The first comment from a 9-12′er we really loved was from RoyH, who said:
[Newt] Gingrich had a 10 point plan named Contract with America. What is the plan for We The People?
1. Term Limits
2. Flat Tax / Fair Tax
3. Abolish Federal Government waste
4. Spending Freeze
5. School vouchers
6. Let states decide their own abortion laws
7. Constitutional amendment for marriage between man and woman
8. All laws are to colorblind with no favoritism to any or against any race or religion
9. Secure borders against illegal immigrants
10. Stop the government war against freedom of Religion in public places
These are just some ideas for discussion I’m throwing out. But I feel we need a combined effort goal or goals.
We need a BIG and TRUE change in the country to traditional values, moral values, and complete accountability from our government in federal, state, county, and city. Whether it’s 5 goals we can all support or 10 or 7, we need a rallying foundation plan that we can focus on and demand from our government. We pay the taxes, we should make the rules. Our voice
should be heard.
