I am the type of person whom believes in solutions as challenges arise. 1st & foremost Congress, senators, elected officals etc… YOU ARE ELECTED BY US AND YOU ARE PAIDED BY US, SO AS I SEE IT WE CONTROL YOU NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!!! My solution the this type of person and others like them; 1. We give our elected officials a performance evaluation every 6 months, to determine if they deserve a pay raise, pay cut or poor performance. If you the elected offical can’t seem to work for us we give you your verbal notice for 1st offense, the 2nd in writing and the 3rd final for dismisal of position (otherwise fired). while the 2nd runner up on election will step into the new postion. I do think that if this was in place that not a singe offical will ever be as we have seen in this congressman or woman or for that matter any other offical who is elected. So what do you all think on this?
Dcatag, The people in power now, in Washington will never let anyone or anything take there power away from them. The Congressman & women, and Senators now think of themselfs as Kings and Queens over the land. And we are there Subjects, for them to do with as they please. This is the way that our elected officials see the American People. Do you really think for one minute the congress or the senate would ever make a law to cut or control there owen power or pay ? Our country has a very good Constitution. And our elected officals subvert the Constitution every chance they get. I do’nt mean to sound like I’m comming down hard on you. Because I’m not….
I’m not just seeing arrogance from Congressman Stark. I’m seeing a man that would allow his fellow citizens to be Kidnaped, Robbed and Murdered. And Congressman Stark will sit there and tell a bold face Lie about the Minutemen. There has not been one Minutemen that has killed anyone, anywere. What it look likes the Congerssman is trying to do here, is prevoke someone into committing a Violent Act. How dare Congressman Stark make light of the of a very serious situation.

I agree, the guy is addressing an honest audience with dismissive attitude. He a jerk. He could have taken the opportunity to find common ground, but he didn’t. Fail. Jerk.
But the ideas that were given him were ill-informed. I addressed this in another post but the US couldn’t build a wall between us and Mexico. The border is 2000 miles long. Yes, 2000 miles. I don’t know the answer, but I do know that building a Great Wall of America to block foreign entrants is not the answer. Sounds nice but…no.
Also the idea that illegal immigrants are taking jobs away from Americans is without substance. Read this and agree or disagree, but if you disagree, let’s hear why you disagree.

I TOTALLY disagree and see it in my small community; jobs in the .99cent store gone, more than 1/2 the people there that work speak NO English, I see it in the fast foods. I see it down in the valley in the construction busineses, in manufacturing, in stores thruout… Don’t tell me, as I live in Southern California and see it ALL over. Those that say the illegals dont take jobs have thier heads in the sand or live in some out of the way place that the illegals havent gotten to yet. It’s HERE and has been and getting worse, I KNOW as I have them just down the street, around the corner and like I said in town. No, you are mistold and sadly mistaken.
I agree with you . I live on the East Coast and work in the Manufacturing business 99% of the warehouse employees are illegal. They are in a union with stolen ss#’s and no one seems to give a crap. The HR manager is a piece of crap with only a High School diploma. She dosen’t care who is who only if she gets caught. The Controler and owners of the company know all about the illegals and don’t give a crap.The illegals can’t file their income tax returns, so the government is happy, they get free money. While so many people in my state are unemployed and not illegals. The free money is one reason our government doesn’t want to close the boarders.
