Way to go Az Gov Brewer. Thank GOD there is a politician in office that wants to keep this country. You are a true AMERICAN hero!!!! We don’t need reform. We already have federal laws in place that need to be enforced. If Obama would do his constitutional duty, Arizona would not of had to protect itself with their own law SB1070. Every state needs their own SB1070. It’s obvious Obama isn’t going to do his job and in my opinion, that’s insubordination. Obama is a disgrace to this country and needs to go. Only a FOOL would believe a word that comes out of that liars mouth!

In response to jcs: you MIGHT be right on one thing. Most illegal immigrants may or may not be drug mules, but one thing is for sure, ALL “ILLEGAL” immigrants are CRIMINALS, everyone of them!!!! ILLEGAL, get it????

Fed up, I think you are biased against Obama. The way I read your post you’re suggesting the problems with immigration began with President Obama and him not doing his “Constitutional duty.” Things were okay – I take it – until Obama took office and now things are terrible. Government actions to prevent the influx of Mexicans (you’re talking Mexican right?) at the border didn’t change when Obama took office as you’re suggesting. I’m not blaming Bush, I’m just saying the situation didn’t change with the change of administration and it kinda makes me wonder why people are so eager to point blame now who weren’t before our current President was elected.

You say we don’t need reform, but George Bush certainly did. Here’s a quote from him and I’ll link to FOX because I’m sure that’s the only news you believe (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,107707,00.html).

“But the president [Bush] drew on the nation’s history as a land of immigrants to argue that allowing most undocumented workers already living in the United States to stay put was the right thing to do.”

I’ll also say the word “liar” is far too popular among the right wing. You realize Brewer’s statement that most illegal aliens are bringing drugs into this country is ridiculous, and yet you call Obama the liar. Weird.

I think the “hero” label is debatable, but immigration reform is certainly a high priority issue for our country. Politician may want to make it a black and white issue (or should I say brown and white), but real reform is more complex than something that can be represented in a one minute campaign video. Obama will address this issue next week so please watch, although the entire speech may not be presented on FOX news.

With regard to this video, posting some signs obviously isn’t Obama’s answer to immigration reform. That’s a political appeal for votes. She’ll get some for sure with that video but only from those with fixed opinions or those not interested in the complexity of immigration policy. And she didn’t add to her credibility by saying that “most” illegal immigrants are drug mules. I don’t think so. I think they’re looking for work.

As far as the opinions expressed in this and that other video (and I agree the politician sounded like a jerk), imimgration policy isn’t as simple as “building a wall.” Our border with Mexico extends 2000 miles. I’ll repeat that: 2000 miles. I don’t know the answers but when people suggest that the US spend a couple of trillion building a wall between the US and Mexico, it makes me think there must be another reasonable solution.
