I think you guys have the wrong take on this. I have a conspiracy theory. I think this guy is afraid of the administration. I think that he suspects that the interviewers are trying to test his commitment to Obama. I bet he is being threatened by the Administration and is taking it out on the interviewers. When they say “do you fully support. . .” it sounds like they are trying to test him for Obama and he blows up. He has been intimidated into to take a dark oath and is scared and furious at the same time.
What you are seeing in this video is desperation, frustration, anger and hate. The liberal progressive democrats. Can not convince the American People that there communist/socialist agenda works. Because the American People know that commuism and socialism have never worked. What this video shows me is the unraveling of the politicans that went along with the Obama agenda. These politicans were promised when the people saw how much good they were going to do, there seats in power would be secure. The People did see. And the People of the United saw the evil of it, and will never accept it. The next thing that will be tryed is Bribery. Thats right they are going to try to bribe the American People. There is another Stimulus Package comming up just before November. And when this dosen’t work you are going to really see the hate come from the liberal progressive. I ask you to always keep your faith and trust in God. Because God is your true sheild and armor of protection.
Bryan, I really want to understand you but so far I haven’t been able to. I agree 100% that the Democratic representative acted like an angry idiot. I see that. Agreed.
But to suggest that of all liberals? But having Universal Health Care, something that every other Democratic, industrialized country in the world has? Where’s the “hate” and “anger” in that? Where’s the “evil” in a country taking care of the “poorest among them” as Jesus taught? Where is the “evil”, “hate” and “anger” in trying to extend unemployment benefits, something Republicans oppose time and time again (reminder: the recession started two year before President Obama took office and unemployment level was at a record low before President Obama took office).
Bryan your anger is directed at those who are trying to help the average American IMO, and you’re throwing your support behind the rich, who, frankly don’t give a s- about you. I think you’re feelings are misplaced.
Unless you’re a millionaire I’m on your side.
I am not about to defend this Congressman’s actions. He’s apologized but maybe these kids really should press charges.
I’m not fond of ambush interviews. Let’s be honest, these guys (maybe “college students”) weren’t on an innocent mission to ask a representative a policy question, their goal was to get a unfavorable reaction on tape. “Do you fully support the Obama agenda?” is a loaded question, not a simple “college student” question about Ethridge’s position on a particular issue.
Okay, that’s fair game in the world today and the Congressman definitely went nuts. We all expect better of our legislators, if not the rest of us. If he can’t handle it he should quit like Sarah Palin did.
(yes, JCS we edited this post for a rude accusation. last warning, break the rules and you will lose access to commenting)
Fair enough. I imagine you’ll cut me off eventually but I have to agree that was below the belt. My sincere -sincere – apologies to the person in question.
One more comment that I hope isn’t posted here is that I actually remember what people post here, especially about their personal lives. I want to understand where people are coming from not to insult them, but to at least make them question what political position is in their own best interest (IMO of course). And I know what’s going on with “some people” who are brave enough to express their personal battles here. I’ve on this forum expressed nothing but support for anyone on those issues, and support for everyone in with their tough times. I’m sure disagree with me on this, but look at that as a liberal thing.
I doubt you and I agree on much but good call and I accept the reprimand. You can cut me off one of these days – I’d probably be better off spending energy elsewhere. But you sure called that one right. My apologies to you and the poster.
This is what the Democratic Party has come to. Bullying people that ask questions. Take a good look at the violent Democrats. I want to see criminal charges pressed against Congressman Ethridge.
