You cheer as laws are drafted in Arizona that can have people sent to jail for looking a given way and not having proper ID on them. Your roar as in Virginia a governor and his DA agree that we should permit discrimination to happen to a segment of our population for employment with the state or access to university. You think it is wonderful for the great state of Virginia to praise those that took up arms against the United States in the Civil War and not state that those people were fighting for slavery. Or in that same state you seam to think it is just great that a literacy test is given to people trying to regain there right to vote when freed from prison.

In the ACORN situation, you think that striping the funding of an organization is wonderful on evidence that has been proven to be a LIE. For that striping of funding to even stand against that document you claim to love the constitution. An organization that continues to fight for those who cant fight for themselves as was the principle of DR King.

You do that an think you can say you respect DR King.

I don’t hate the T-party I petty them. You are dragging this nation back to a time of Jim Crow and you cheer it.

as to ACORN.. and the PIMP and the HO thing… THAT WAS ALL A LIE AND MANIPULATION

    • williamzen says:

wow, its allways the same deal. if a leftist agrees they need absolutely no proof of any kind, however when they disagree, well you could spell it out a thousand ways, and show them the color of our sky is BLUE! acorn is another example of govt. waste and corruption and no matter how many times a case is made against them the leftist just dont want to hear it

    • williamzen says:

why do you say that? because its ugly, and you dont like it? come on man really? has it come to that with the left? I DONT LIKE IT SO IT MUST BE A LIE! please stop hating and open your mind

The Biggest lie was in San Berdadino CA county PD and the San Bernadino city PD found that no one she ever dated or married has been found dead. She had a dark humor and for that Beckie boy did this – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol4_3Jn36KA&feature=PlayList&p=DCC0561F6BD4619E&playnext_from=PL&playnext=1&index=21

District Attorneys in California and New York have said that after viewing the unedited tapes that.
        1. No criminal behavior on behalf of ACORN or it’s employees are on the tapes
2.Tapes were heavily edited to only show damaging statements
        3. The PIMP in most situation didn’t say he was a senator but a college student helping a friend.
        4. Cops were called on the PIMP and HO
        5. Outreach was made to the HO..

I will post the links to the 2 press statements that prove what I am saying is true, I can even give you the link to the AG in California that explains it all in detail.

jimbo, awesome. Good job laying out the facts and supporting them.

Let me add one thing to your post: the people who filmed those videos have been indicted for violation of federal law. The ACORN charges were dismissed once the DA saw that the uncut videos showed nothing illegal, and that not only did ACORN try to help the “victim” they also turned the “pimp” in to the police. They’ll plead and get probation given the “college prank” nature of their crime and their age. But it’s amazing how much effect a person, with an agenda and without a moral compass can have on the country.

I don’t think you know anything about DR. King. Dr King was called a socialist, he was called a communist he believed that the Constitution was a living document that evolved. He refereed to the bill of rights as an IOU to future generations.

Today Dr King would be against the T-party movement in so many ways. Primary would be the bill in Arizona that give the state the power to send you to jail if you look a given way and you don’t have your wallet on you.

In Virginia you have a Governor and a attorney general that placed discrimination into law saying that state employment departments and schools can discriminate against homosexuals. Or how they just failed to talk about Slavery when it came to the Civil War. Or how they actually constructed a literacy test for persons released from jail to have the right to vote.

Those are not low level activists or some wacked out element of the t-party or the RNC. Those are state officials and people that gave the response to the state of the union. Those are not words taken out of context those are laws and bills people voted on and state actions.

To the “defunding” of ACORN – I hope you guys know that was unconstitutional and was struck down for that.

  5. BrandenD667 says:

I’m in total agreement with thomasmary50 and in udder awe of what peeps said. Yes, I think that this country is polarized by people like Bertha Lewis, which will cause an even greater shift away from what our Founding Father’s had imagined. What we need to remember is that WE shape and create the young minds of today. It is our duty as parents, siblings, and role models to provide them a stable and enriching environment free from this type of hate speech that Bertha was insinuating.
Now peeps, I will say that I’m not a member or affiliate of any tea party. But I will say that I actually agree with what they stand for. Tea Parties are made up of both Democrats and Republicans as well as Independents. I will say that Betha Lewis comparing tea parties to a bowel movement should be compared to the alleged racial slurs that were claimed to come from tea party members during the Obama-care vote. The only difference is the truth is in the video. There’s no way she can deny it. I’m pretty sure that Republicans as well as Non-Radical Democrats know that her words hold no weight. She’s on the losing end of having her Federal Funding removed due to the undercover videos.. so really.. she’s walking on thin ice…

  6. thomasmary50 says:

As a teacher, I am appalled at the direction so many minority leaders are taking. Where are you planning to lead impressionable young people? Into more hatred? Is that helpful to today’s minority students? Today’s young people need responsible minority leaders that encourage them to take responsibility for their own actions-not blame everybody else for their own failures. Not only that, but using vulgar, coarse language is only showing a definite lack of vocabulary skills. Anybody can call names; engage in meaningful dialogue and respect other’s opinions. I think MLK would be terribly discouraged at the direction too many minority leaders are taking.

    • jcs says:

thomasmary, who are the “so many” minority leaders you’re talking about? Name just one other one. President Obama? Michael Steele?

“Bowel movement” is “coarse language”? thomasmary, one thing you are NOT is a teacher, at least not in a public school or any school over Kindergarten age. Rush Limbaugh says worse on a regular basis (”Obama is asking us to bend over” is one that comes to mind).

Nope, President Obama in an inspiration to minorities not only in this country, but all over the World.

I’m serious, are you actually a teacher? I’m not asking for location, but what exactly do you teach?

  7. peeps1111 says:

I agree with her about the tea party movement. I read about the leader in MA and he sounded like a lunatic. It’s actually pretty frightening. He was calling the Republican leader names. A “bowel movement” is an apt name. This movement will only serve to divide the Republican party further, very sad.
