The Naples Tea Party will join with local groups and individuals to hold a candlelight vigil Sunday, March 14th:
The overwhelming response is to continue with the Sunday evening candlelight vigils as long as ObamaCare is being considered by Congress. The Naples Tea Party will join with local groups and individuals, and hold a candlelight vigil Sunday, March 14th, at 7:30 in the evening on U.S. 41 in downtown Naples along the sidewalk in front of the Naples Community Hospital parking garage.
Let’s build on the 100 plus Patriots who attended the first vigil.

Everyone on Medicare, Medicaid and the VA health care system should tear up their cards now, and go buy insurance from private companies. Government shouldn’t be in the healthcare business?
Agreed. And don’t forget the Fire Department, almost always the first on the scene in a medical emergency. That’s government supplied health care too.
Anyone who uses Medicare, Medicaid, the VA system, or calls 911 is supporting the our new Big Brother socialist government (Obama). You are supporting the slavery of a totalitarian government, a government that forces your children to be educated in public indoctrination schools (like Mao and Stalin did), and will throw you in jail and confiscate your property under point of gun if you don’t.
American Patriots! Now is the time to rebel again the new dictatorship! To arms!
The Presdent Obama is refusing to hand over e-mails and memos regarding National Health Care. It seems that anyone that has requested this information has been refused. Under the Freedom of Information Act, only information reguarding National Security may be refused. I am asking you to please contact your Senator and Congressman, and request a Specal Investigation in to this matter. When President Obama was elected he promised transparency.
What are you talking about? Post a link. Someone made this up Bryan. Let’s see your source.
Bryan, what are talking about? Post a link please. Did you just make this up or is there a radical blog you’re sourcing. Where in the world do you get this idea?
Christ’s message is a simple one:
“My brothers, what use is it for a man to say he has faith when he does nothing to show it? Can that faith save him? Suppose a brother or a sister is in rags with not enough food for the day, and one of you says, ‘Good luck to you, keep yourselves warm, and have plenty to eat’, but does nothing to supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? So with faith; if it does not lead to action, it is in itself a lifeless thing.” (James 2:14-17).
Christ spoke over and over about support for the poor. To me, his message was not to give a few dollars at church, but to try to create a world where the causes of poverty are addressed, and that we give to those in need so that they can raise themselves out of impoverished conditions. Reading the backlash of the Mormon church to Beck’s remarks, I believe that is central to his own religion.
Disagreeing with Beck is not sacrilege. And it’s not advocating hate. It’s advocating Christian Love.
Beck says that you should leave your church if the words “social justice” or “economic justice” are found or on their website. Or if you have had those word in church. Are you happy with Glen Beck telling you what church you go to? It’s one thing to get your political beliefs from him, but will you also get your religious beliefs from him? Will you leave your church if your pastor has spoken about about addressing the causes of poverty?
I encourage you to listen to Glenn Beck but I encourage you also to examine your understanding of Christ’s many, many sacred words about helping the poor.
jcs, You have no respect for people at all. The only thing you care about is playing games with people. You are a typical liberal progressive. You are about power and control. You are not about Freedom, Hope, Charity and Faith. You want someone to hurt others. You want to prevoke Hate and Anger in others. And you will not be satisfied untill someone is hurt. You are not about debait or an opposite option. Please don’t fall for jcs’s game. There is something very wrong with this person. There is something wrong with anyone who want others to hate.

I’m glad he told us, even the bible tells you your church will become corrupt. It always begins at the top. Jesus warns that in the end times even the very elect would be deceived. I don’t think Beck is telling us what church to go to, he is just telling us to look for signs of deception in all aspects of our lives. Now I’m not saying that beck is a prophet, but god said he would send his prophets in the end times, and god does work in mysterious ways. We better not discount where the news comes from, we don’t want to miss him like our forefathers did. I read a book where some preachers said only 5%-%15 of Christians are ready for heaven. WAKE UP AMERICA. Read for yourselves and pray for guidance don’t take what someone tells you and believe it.
Hi, I know this is a Forum, but I have a question more than a comment. Will someone please explain to me or send me a link where it is explained about the position of Obama’s Health Care plan and the repurcussions that it may have on our society. It is all too vague for me, and it is not just the politician’s fault; I have heard countless criticisms against health care and a few supports for it with little true evidence in support of their claims. The most logical (as logic can get from a politician) was from Obama himself. I figured, that since this site is dedicated to the very ideals I strive to uphold myself I might recieve a less offensive answer than ‘Obama’s a Nazi.” I believe that part of my civic duty is to support our leaders even when I did not vote for them, and I believe Obama is trying to do whats best for the country, even if I do not necessarily support his Health Care bill. So if anyone can send me a link or explain it personally in a form that lacks (to the extent possible) logical fallacies or other false forms of evidence, I would appreciate it and be sure to spread the knowledge to the many I know with the exact same question: What is the Health Care plan, and what are the repurcussions, both benign and malignant, upon society. Thank you.
I do agree that America needs healthcare reform, but not the bill that Obama is going to ram down America’s throats. How many of the millions of individuals that do not currently have healthcare choose not to because they are young and healthy etc. or maybe because they choose to get the “54″ inch HD flat screen tv? And how many of these individuals are illegal immigrants? Individuals that go to an emergency room and do not hve healthcare will be seen, it is the law!
Our Great Republic, please don’t parrot the insurance company phrase “ram in down our throats”. Our Founding Fathers called that “majority rule” which is the basis of making decisions described by the Unitied States Constitution. You learned about majority rule as the basis for democratic decisions in grade school. Stop the nonsense that every decision in government need 6/10 of the votes. No Democratic government requires that, including our own. Please explain to me why you think legistlation required 60% of the votes rather than 51%.
OGR – illegal immigrants aren’t covered by the health care bill. Or you a propagandist or simply uninformed? Cut the crap please.
OGR – if you’re at risk for cancer, see if you can screening for that in an Emergency Room. Or treatment.
jcs, you can be screened for cancer at your local Health Department thru Medicade. And the only one that need to cut the crap here is you.
Bryan, Medicade is a socialist concept; government supported health care. You’ve spoken against all of these socialist programs – social security, Medicare, and Medicaid. If I understand you, your position is to get rid of these programs. As a patriot, why would anyone, including you, participate in a program that leads inevitably to a communist dictatorship? Or do you think that American’s should take advantage of those services, then get rid of them of them as soon as the pull themselves out of their situation of need?
Good idea, and it saves the country from despotism, but what about other people who need those services?
jcs, You are not a very smart or deep person, at all. In fact you are a very little person. All you do is play these small minded liberal progressive games with people. And it shows how little respect you have for other people.
I’m just wondering why our representatives aren’t mentioning Page 1000, Section 3403
which states:
Beginning on page 1,000 of the measure, Section 3403 reads in part: “. it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.”
In other words, if President Barack Obama signs this measure into law, no future Senate or House will be able to change a single word of Section 3403, regardless whether future Americans or their representatives in Congress wish otherwise!!
This needs to be on the table to be stripped along with the other deals. If signed, this would mean, to me, that America will be doomed to a Socialist democracy FOREVER- since Reid made sure that his elitist legalese can NEVER be challenged!
Are you serious? These pompous elitists are trying to do something our Founding Fathers didn’t even do; and that is to make their words law FOREVER. Even the Founding Fathers left room for amendments.
Please, how can we get this message to Capitol Hill, so that the Representatives will bring this up, and get it stricken from the leaves? Where are the ads, and commercials? This should be on Billboards throughout the nation!!
I’ve written, and I’ve called the representatives, but it seems they aren’t getting the message- unless they are backing it! Somebody, get a cell phone #, or pvt e-mail or something for one of them.
Why aren’t the media covering this? Simple. Because it’s not true. Stop getting your “facts’ from redstate.com. PROUDAMERICAN you are articulate and intelligent. How can you conclude that the country will inevitably become a dictatorship based on on a single blog from ultra right website? Aren’t’ you overreacting?
I with civility will refer to your reply, you are not a burden to the American people just an unfortunate individual that believes that what you have seen on the news is the truth ,and that you want to feel that what you see is real and its not , i pose my first question ,What Rights do you have?
That’s a good question, justright, but a broad one. I suppose someone could write a book on that. But I’ll keep it short so, maybe, this website will let me post. There are specific rights spelled out in the Constitution. You can google those. From a legal, nonpartisan website (please!). I agree with those, and accept the limitations of those rights in subsequent Supreme Court decision, which are the law of the land, whether we like them or not. We have the right to free speech, but not to shout “fire” in a crowded theater. We have a right to bear arms, but not nuclear arms, etc.
Morally, I have to right to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but not when my pursuit of those things interferes with the right to others to pursue the same.
Ask me to define any point further, and I’d be happy to exchange ideas!
BECK: Leave your communist church!

jcs,
I have read many of your posts and you have the right to post and debate whatever you want.
I was wondering if you have anything positive to say about Glenn because you always seem to trash him? Again, you have the right to do this but do you agree with any of his posts?
Now I understand the paranoia that you have been feeling lately…making hateful post like that on any website would make me nervous, too….I have an idea…DON’T COME BACK!!
Hateful post is right. I quoted Glenn Beck. He advised everyone to look at their church website and if they find the words “social justice” to leave the church because social justice is a “perversion” of the Bible. He said “social justice” is a code word used by Nazi sympathizers. You remember the Nazis right? The ones who exterminated the Jews? Beck says Christian churches that support social justice are secret believers in the policies and practices of Hitler. Do you believe that too?
The link presented the opposing view from a pastor and quoted people from Beck’s own Mormon church. Where’s the hate in my words?
If I stopped posting here what fun would this place be?
jcs you are lying again. Oh I’m sorry you fibbed, dose that make feel better. Gleen never said anything like that, EVER. You are one of those typical liberal progressives that attacks anyone that takes and opposing view to you. You need to find out why you hate Glenn Beck so much. Because you have to much bitterness in you hart.
Good for these 20 people for their solemn ceremony, every one of which probably has insurance. Somebody please tell them that there are over 20 MILLION people without insurance in the United States of American, each of whom pray and hold their own private vigil every night that that they don’t get sick, especially with any condition that requires long term care that would bankrupt them. Those working parents (4/5th of everyone without insurance are employed) who can’t afford a doctor’s appointment to be diagnosed early enough to be cured and the children who are left without a wage earning parent and dependent on the government afterward.
Let’s all be inspired by their “vigil.”
We don’t have health insurance. I have serious illnesses and so does my wife. She has Multiple sclerosis. But I reject the idea that Obamacare is the best way to help people like us. The idea that if you disagree with Obamacare you don’t care about us is like saying that if you disagree with the Iraq War, you don’t oppose terrorism.
cavetrollhead, God Bless you Sir.
I admire and respect your opinion. And your courage.
