A debate between Republican congressional candidates Scott Bruun and Fred Thompson will be sponsored by the Salem offshoot of the 912 Project…
Bruun, a businessman and state representative from West Linn, and Thompson, a retired businessman from Salem, are seeking their party’s nomination for the 5th District seat that covers the Mid-Valley. The Republican winner will face first-term Democrat Kurt Schrader of Canby, who declined to attend the forum.
