2/2: Senate Candidate Seeks Tea Party Support

Ohio’s Wooster 912  Project supporter Tom Ganley enters race against incumbent:

“I’m not a politician,” Ganley said to cheers from about 60 members of the Wooster chapter of the 912 project, promoted by talk-show host Glenn Beck. “The reason I’m running is because I’m very unhappy with politicians.”

Ganley, who runs the Ganley Automotive Group of 32 dealerships in northern Ohio, said in an interview that he feels “a calling from our country that we need businessmen in Washington to try to get a grip on the financial crisis.”

Quote: “He admits that the Bush administration and Republicans in general “took their eye off the ball and spent too much” but insists he has a solid record of working to reduce the deficit and seeking a balanced budget during his time in Washington.”

I’d really be interested in hearing what Bush did to reduce the deficit. He cut taxes for the rich (not the rest of us though) and increased spending, just like Reagan.

A car salesman for 42 years. I’d say he’s qualified to be in government.

I don’t know what to say to Mr. Ganely. I don’t know him. But I do know car sells men. I believe the Tea Party folks are not going to support anyone till you “Do The Right Thing” first. Promises are not enough. But good luck with your campaign.
