1/29: San Francisco Bay 912 Project (Calif.) organizer says Obama over-played his hand

“If you care about the Constitution and the fundamental principles on which this country was founded, in some ways it’s almost a blessing in disguise that Obama won because he has overplayed his hand, he pushed too hard, too fast and all of a sudden people are going, ‘Whoa, slow down,’ ” said Mimi Steel, of Castro Valley, organizer of the Glenn Beck-inspired San Francisco Bay 912 Project.

Another phase of the “let’s bankrupt America” plan will be proposed tomorrow. 3.8 Trillion more for “the one”. BOHICA

I thought that the 700b was not the stimulus, but the TARP, intended to save the banks from going broke. I don’t think it was intended as a stimulus.

The Liberal Progressive Democrats have absolute confidence in the stupidity of the people who put them in office. Don’t get too focused on Obama because he’ll just be replaced by another carnival barker selling snake oil otherwise known as the liberal progressive ideology. After years of studying government both good and bad. I’ve realized that no matter what government does… it doesn’t matter if it’s the greatest idea ever conceived in human history, When those ideas are forced on a people with threats of fines and prison. Freedom and Liberty are lost. It seems to me that the very nature of freedom and liberty is lost knowledge. Even the purpose of the US constitution seems to be lost knowledge. Many believe the constitution gives them something. They believe their rights and liberties are given to them by the constitution. It does not give anyone anything. All it does is try and prevent power mad people from stripping away what you already have. Power mad people have nothing but resentment for the restrains it puts on them. I believe I also know why these power mad people want to remove God from America. Because they want to be god on earth and sit on a golden thrown. They have contempt even for God and his rules not just the US Constitution. Do I have your hair standing on end yet? It should be. I’ve found when studying world leaders that some come from a dark place of mistrust of The People around them. Then there’s other leaders who come from a enlightened place where they do trust in the up lifting sprit of human beings. You take a person like Hitler… he was not wrong about what he said about human beings. But was very cynical and distrusting of them. Looking at the founders of America they were coming from a very enlightened place of trust. I’ll let you decide who is coming from those places of light and dark in today’s politicians. It crosses party lines and isn’t mutually exclusive to one or the other.

Actually, the liberal are tryinig to put religious ideals into government.

“My brothers, what use is it for a man to say he has faith when he does nothing to show it? Can that faith save him? Suppose a brother or a sister is in rags with not enough food for the day, and one of you says, ‘Good luck to you, keep yourselves warm, and have plenty to eat’, but does nothing to supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? So with faith; if it does not lead to action, it is in itself a lifeless thing.” (James 2:14-17).

Jesus did not say, “If you’re poor, sorry, your problem.”

      • Bryan says:

jcs, I don’t know what Bible you are reading, That is not what James was saying at all. James was talking about the works of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and people taking up the works of God, by obaying the Laws of God. By having Mercy on all.(James 2:13) For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth againest judgment. James went on to talk about Abraham and his son Isaac (James 2;21), When Abraham obayed God. And put his son on the alter. Abraham had faith in God and did good works before God by obaying God.

      • Bryan says:

jcs, James was talking about what you do as the individual. Not the group collective. Just like the teachings of Jesus Christ. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son,that whosoever believeth in Him should not persh, but have everlasting life. 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but the world through Him might be saved.

      • soitgoes says:

Yes, the liberals are trying to put religious ideas into government, under the threat of imprisonment, at the point of a gun, just as any thief would do.

What Christ advocated is voluntary charity, not enslavement.

      • jcs says:

Tell the people of every single other industrialized country in the world, all of whom have universal health care, that they are enslaved, and under the iron fist of a marxist dictatorship. They probably don’t realize it. Please guys and gals, that’s absurd.

Yes, the government helping the poor is bad and evil. And war is peace and love is hate.

No, Jesus’ words speak for themselves. All you have to do is read the words. The words are clear and he didn’t qualify them the way you guys are trying to avoid realizing that you are being hypocritical. That’s the power of His message.

JCS “Tell the people of every single other industrialized country in the world,
all of whom have universal health care,
that they are enslaved, and under the iron fist of a marxist dictatorship.”

        That’s is the whole point.
We are not like every single other country.
The pilgrims and our founding fathers rejected them and their way of life.
We are quite simply better than that.
MOST of us want it to stay that way.

We have a constitution to protect our way of life.
We don’t like how the last several presidencies have pissed all over it.
If you want universal health care and other facets of communism,
I suggest you pick out a nice “other industrialized country” and move there.
Please don’t try to change mine.

My country is not for sale!

      • jcs says:

Soitgoes – every industrialized nation in the world is enslaved? Of course not. Kind of hard to reconcile your support of a governmental actions that favor the millionaires with your Christian beliefs isn’t it. So you invoke “slavery, communism” or whatever to try. A little introspection is due here IMO.

Zaraki, our Founding Fathers rejected the tyranny of a king. If you haven’t noticed, England isn’t ruled by a king anymore. And please learn the meaning of the word “communism.” I’ve given up trying to get NoMarxism to learn what Marxism is, but maybe you are interested enough to learn and understand the different forms of government in the world. Hard to have a conversation with someone who thinks that health care is a return to Nazism.

PS Our country has already been sold to the richest who live here. So don’t worry about that.

JCS…. “Anyone who doesn’t take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones either.” said Albert Einstein
“Intellectuals solve problems, geniuses prevent them.” said Albert Einstein
“No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.” said Albert Einstein
“He who knows nothing at all is closer to the truth then he whose mind is filled falsehoods and errors.” said Albert Einstein

JCS soon the interest on the National debt will be more the gross national product, Do you believe that’s a good thing? I’m predicting America will be in a depression in 1 to 2 years from now. I wish America could save everyone’s lives. The fact is we can not. Some people cant be saved no matter what you do or how much money you spend. A person needs to know their limitations. America has its limits also as to what it can afford. For the life of me I do not know how you could possibly belevie government is trust worthy with its clear track record of irresponsible behavior. I do not know how to get you to realize the reckless course your taking. Feeling, thinking, reacting and emotions are separate things. I do not know how to get you to stop feeling good about yourself and start thinking about what your really doing. This is a problem I find with most liberals. They like to feel good intested of thinking. I’m telling you to get off the railroad tracks there’s a train about to hit you. What do you do? You call me a ‘fear monger” when I’m trying to save your life. What else can I do but let the train hit you.

Obama and his cabal of thieves and liars are clearly in way over their heads and this country will soon be returned to its conservative roots. The initial stimulus rammed down our throats by the greedy democrats has already doomed his presidency. Obama is seen for what he is…nothing more that a salesman for the far left who’s “goods” are clearly shoddy and not in the best interest of this country.

The problem with liberalism is that it rewards failure (and not surprisingly gets all of us more of it). Too bad liberals cannot acknowledge that. It’s part of the illness I suppose….such a pity.

    • jcs says:

NM, the initial 700 billion dollar stimulus was past in October 2008 under the Bush administration.

      • soitgoes says:

I must be misinformed. I thought that was the TARP bill, intended not to “stimulate” the economy, but save the banks from going broke.

        My bad!

        ;-)

      • soitgoes says:

To my knowledge the 700b was not a stimulus bill, but the TARP, intended to save the banks from going broke.

The stimulus bill came later and amounted to 875b, plus another 75b as reported recently.

      • Nomarxism says:

Wow, you just cannot face the fact that the 787 billion Obama said was needed to avert “disaster” was a “stimulus” can you. Everything has to lead back to Bush with you. Let’s drop the smokescreen and talk about our current administration shall we.

Obama signed the executive order for the 787 billion. Can you not agree with that fact? And by the way, it accomplished nothing of benefit for this country.

You are entitled to you opinion too but please take in a fact every now and then. Maddow, Matthews and Olberman do not report the “news”. Their opinion programs are exactly that, opinions.

      • jcs says:

Sure I agree with that. What’s your point? Bailouts are okay but stimulus spending is bad?
