I’m nearing 60. I really had a lot of admiration for Dr. King, and was very upset when he was killed. I was listening to Fox local this morning where they were quoting King, Jr. saying, “It’s good to see people rallying around ‘people of color’ in their time of need.” I was disappointed to hear him say that, and don’t feel his father would have made it a racial issue in this day and time. I noticed Obama gave some speech about him today. I couldn’t bring myself to listen because Obama is so removed from anything representing Dr. King, I thought I’d probably throw up if he compared himself to him.
My son had to get his medical records showing all immunizations for his work. He broke out into complete laughter while reading them.
On everything for myself & children – I check ‘other’ and write American! I will not be divided into a category. Either your American or your not. Simple question with a simple “Proud” Answer. However, the “Proud” part is slowly sinking.
Yes, he had a dream that all would be “equal”, not affirmative action or reparations.
The Democratic party has soiled Kings Dream. They claim to stand on his dream and to keep his dream alive, yet they continue to suppress. Look up the word Defile.
