I am the co-organizer of the Staten Island Tea Party, and we have signed on as sponsors for the 9/11 Never Forget Coalition’s event on 12/5/09. I just wanted to give you a head’s up on our plan, which consists of taking the Staten Island Ferry to Whitehall Street and marching up Broadway en route to Foley Square. Should make for an interesting morning; hundreds of us will gather at the Staten Island Ferry terminal in time for the 10 a.m. boat.
Here is a copy of the email I sent to our 1,000 person mailing list:
My Fellow Patriots:
The list of outrageous indignities heaped upon Americans by the Obama Administration just keeps growing and growing, and each one seems to be worse than the last. Now, in defiance of all reason, they have decided to inflict a 9/11 flashback on the citizens of New York.
In forcing us to endure a completely unnecessary circus of a trial, in a courtroom that the shadows of the World Trade Center would darken if the towers were still standing, these vile jihadist slugs will be handed a bully pulpit from which to spew their insane hatred and bile.
I am not going to sit silently in the comfort of my living room and allow this to happen without a fight; that is what got us into this mess in the first place. Please stand with me and join the 9/11 Never Forget Coalition on Saturday, December 5th, 2009 at noon in Foley Square to demonstrate against this madness.
This diverse group of organizations, which includes 9/11 victims, family members, first responders, active and reserve members of the military, veterans, and, of course, the Staten Island Tea Party, will gather to protest the outrageous decision to give these killers the Constitutional rights that should be afforded only to the citizens of the nation they so despise – and which they have sworn to destroy.
The sheer hypocrisy sickens me, and the fact that Obama and his administration should be the enablers of this pathetic farce only cements in my mind the disdain in which they hold the United States. They never seem to miss an opportunity to spit on the graves of brave Americans who fought and died for the rights guaranteed by that document – rights guaranteed to the citizens of our country, not prisoners of war.
I urge you to join me.
I’m asking you to meet me at the Staten Island Ferry terminal on the morning of December 5th, 2009, in time for the 10 a.m. boat. Upon disembarking at Whitehall Street, we will march up Broadway, and then up Park Row to Foley Square.
There, we will join tens of thousands of outraged citizens, and we will tell this radical administration, in no uncertain terms and in one voice, what we think of their unnecessary show trial – which is nothing more than a political payback to the radical leftists who got them elected.
And I want to ask you to do one more thing – pass the word around. There is a flyer I have created that you can print and tack to the bulletin board of your local supermarket, your place of worship, your gym, or wherever else you may think appropriate. Simply follow THIS LINK to our website and download the document, print in color if you can and if you only need to print a few, or black and white if you want to print multiple flyers for handouts.
We cannot let this stand without a fight. Please make time to raise your voice alongside your fellow citizens; we can never stop fighting these dangerous policies.
Stay strong. Stay engaged. Remember the words of Winston Churchill:
“You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: it is victory. Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be – for without victory, there is no survival.”
Yours in liberty,
Frank
