11/20: SEIU Thugs vs. Boy Scouts

Michelle Malkin: The Purple Shirted-thugs of the Service Employees International Union — ACORN’s alter ego and Obama’s most frequent visitor — are going after an Eagle Scout who poses a threat to their workers because he’s volunteering too much.

It does seem a little ridiculous but no grievance was filed. End of story. People are upset that they’ve been layed off by the city.

What I love is Michelle Malkin’s colorful language. She calls the union “thugs” as though there was some threat of physical violence, but there was none. And the Nick Balzano guy she quotes as being president of the union is not president of anything and was not authorized to speak on behalf of the union.

    This is non-news.

This is a tipical union tactic from my perspective of the unions I’ve been in. They don’t really want to do the work they just want the credit for doing it. It’s never about getting the job done, it’s the power stuggle.Thats what unions are all about. Those in authority want to control those they supposedly represent. But we must be careful with that term “represent” . Look at it like this, REP , and RESENT , Rep standing for (report), and then we have resent which is what they do to the rank and file. Elite vs. the non-elite. Which is where the Scout (Gods Bless
him) made his mistake. He got to do the work ,SEIU wants the credit for it.

It comes as no surprise that the SEIU is whining. Well, if they want only union members to do the work, then let those who have been laid off do the work and the union can pay them for it. Perhaps they can even let Obama claim this as jobs created by his stimulus bill…… Then at least some of the jobs claimed could actually proven.
