This is only one of the dumbest things I have seen from this man. I have lived in VA for 28 years. I have written him and told him to vote NO on this health care rip-off. I got back the standard, “I hear you and agree, but…..” and then the Dem talking points start and he shows he is dancing to the Dem Party tune and does not care what the people of his own state have to say. He will vote the way he wants, citizens be damnned. Webb, is no better, he is even more disrespectful in his replies on health care and on Cap and Trade. It is disgusting. They don’t serve us. They both need to go.
Driving a car in this country is not a right: it is a privilege given to you by the state: there for they can require you to have a license and insurance to protect the other guy on the road.
Health insurance is not a right: Freedom of choice is: you have a choice not to drive on the government roads and not to buy health insurance.
Less than half the people in the US have drivers licenses, so with this immature comparison we would have to build very large prisons for all the new law breakers. There are a large amount of people in larger cities who never have drivers licenses and yet they go to work and carry on a very happy life. Someone needs to challenge these fools and the best way is term limits.
Where in the Constitution does our Government have the right to force anyone to have health insurance, and imprison them if they don’t, or don’t pay the fine? What has happened to this Country. I feel as though an alien has become president…probably not born here (no proof), hated our Country with his wife openly before being elected, hung out with vile people who hated this Country, never worked for an honest living, and is only in it for his handlers, for the cronies in banking, the unions, and the welfare-ites who registered, often multiple times thanks to his Acorn buddies.
He is hell bent on taking over our lives, and in one short swoop could undo all the our forefathers faught for with everything they had. He is worse than the English and their king we overthrew! Any insurance program the Government has its hands in is the camel’s nose inside the tent, with the rest soon to follow. The Government will put a lot more people out of work when he creams the Insurance Companies. Older folks will lose a ton of their benefits from Medicare they currently enjoy, and AARP will sell more and higher costing insurance to fill the gap (Obama cronies, as well), and they are already talking about medical reform including cutting back on testing and tests, and procedures they (whoever “they” really are) feel we don’t need or shouldn’t get. This is only the tip of the iceberg. No this isn’t even close to auto insurance. It is about human life and happiness, not some inanimate auto!
We are facing a tidal wave of Obama wrought Government control on our lives. They have grabbed finance, soon-t–be-announced Health Care, Cap & Trade, energy, auto industry (violated contract law and the Constitution in telling the bond-holders to take a hike while giving GMC to the union goons), and whatever else is in their cross hairs! We are like the witch in Dorothy who exclaims, “I am melting”…that is what the USA is starting to do, and fast!
