11/11: Veterans Day 2009

There are roughly 24 million military veterans alive today, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs. Of those, roughly 1.5 million have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Thirty-three percent of all living veterans served during the Vietnam era, while 5.2 million served during the Gulf War period, which VA says started in Aug. 1990 and continues today. About 2.6 million served in World War II, 2.8 million in the Korean War and another 6 million served in peacetime.

Thank you all Veterans today including my boy, Tim who is serving in Iraq now on his 2nd tour. Thank you families also who have sacrificed. Tim’s Family at Ft. Hood. has 2 sons in middle school who were locked down during the shooting at Ft. Hood. I am disappointed in the news media including Fox News as well as the Military personnel that were in charge of the funeral services at Ft. Hood as none of them mentioned the unborn child that was also a viictim as well as the mother who was killed. Fox makes criticism of others that are politically correct and they are also guilty. Nobody is counting the unborn child of the soldier who was killed as a number but the baby was a number and the correct number of the victims should be one more than being reported by the news media including Fox. It is widley known that there is a lot of opposition to the Health bill as a majority of us do not want abortions to be covered in this health bill. Since we have a majority of Americans who do not believe in abortion, why is there still concern about being politically correct in talking about the unborn? I don’t like to listen to any news besides Fox, but I think that they missed the mark on the unborn baby being a person and a number to be named to the total number of dead. God Bless America.
Thanks for your message, and I am sure by now that you know that Fox News and Fox Nation have had links on their websites for stories on the 14th victim. Only the liberal Lame Stream Media have not reported on this as they would only consider an unborn child as a blob of tissue, a choice, or as BHO says “a punishment” for our children.
Could you provide a link where President Obama says “a punishment for our children”? I don’t follow you.
