11/2: The One Thing

Beck: Republicans who promised Americans Ronald Reagan and gave us John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Arlen Specter — hmm, one of these things is not like the others — have woken a sleeping giant and are only just starting to find out the consequences of trying to make the “tent” bigger, open to all those Democrat-lite candidates and progressives and we’re seeing that in the NY-23 special election.

The Republican leadership over the last few years has tried to increase the numbers of people that identify as Republican, without really paying attention to their values. The party is all about the values that we believe in, they are not something that we surrender just for their elite Washington egos’ and power in DC. I agree with recruiting all peoples that share the values, but I do not agree on changing the values to recruit people. We believe in a strong defense, small government, non-interference in peoples lives, the contract with America was a very good start and was seen by Libertarians, Independents and Conservative Democrats (very rare bred) as the right ideas. We need to get out and support the right candidates, ones with the conservative values. We as a society will never agree on any issue 100% but an 80%-90% agreement is possible. The RNC must lead the message and not let the DNC and the propaganda media create the message (like they are now). The values that we believe in are correct and have been the backbone of America for a hundred years, the socialist message does not work for the majority of this country but it is the only coordinated message that the country is hearing now. The DNC and the far left have control of the education system, the propaganda media and the political discussion, we need to speak up and get our message out. Why do you think the media is proclaiming a civil war in the party, to create confusion, fear and doubt in the party and the message? Why do you think the media attack Beck, Palin, Rus and the others because they are reminding people of our values and that surrender is not a option

We the People are trying to return to the Ronald Reagan Republican Party. If the party won’t be dragged, kicking and screaming, to it’s true roots, then I guess we’ll have to kick the party to the side of the road and move on. We don’t have time to kiss up to the John McCains, Linsdey Grahams and Newt Gingrich’s of the old party and convince them to join us. They’ll just have to watch the parade move on without them. Time to stand up and be counted, America!

Arlen Spector – I could give you quots from him that had him mention why he bolted.
The district didn’t vote for obama it actuality went on average 10 points against obama.
And Newt Gingrich brought us “The Contract with America” that promised smaller government and less spending and intrusion into our lives. Once they had both houses of congress AND the presidency, all of that seemed to go nowhere. More spending, more regulation, etc, etc. etc.
I was done with the Republicans after that. Lie to me once, shame on you… They did tap into the conservative sentiment but they didn’t stand up for it. I did vote for McCain but not so much for him as _against_ Obama.
The conservative sentiment is still out there and unfulfilled. Today’s Republicans don’t get it any better than the “contractors” did.
It’s time for some results.
Well as to Bill Owens..
I think your forgetting the 900 LB object in the room.. the two cannidates are
1. Conservative Party Candidate not Republican
2. Democratic Cannidate
SO.. oopsi there isn’t a Republican in the race.. not a lie but an omission.

McCain did a lot of foot work for Regan when Regan was president to attack him for not supporting or being the man. I have many issues with McCain… but to say that McCain wasn’t a man that went to the mat for Regan in though times is a big LIE.
