Me: You know; just perusing the ‘pamphlet’, that, in itself it’s not a plan, but an idea. It’s a good idea, but the only way it can become a plan is for scary Harry, or paltry Pelosi to recognize the idea and submit it to committee. The Repubs have no committee standings; as all of the committees are run by Dems.
As for political contributions from health industry; The Wall Street Journal Health Blog reported this week that the health industry has suddenly shifted from a preference for Republicans to a preference for Democrats. Specifically, political contributions from the health sector are showing a 55% to 45% split in favor of Democrats. This is a reversal of the traditional split that for at least 20 years has strongly favored Republicans.

No, the only way it can become a plan is for the authors of the “pamhlet” to turn it into legislative language. Write the bill. But they won’t do that. They would have to include and then defend specific details. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are not who’s keeping GOP legislation from the floor or from committee hearings. It’s John Boehner and Mitch McConnell.
I don’t have to read this monstrosity, I just look at where it came from and know that the answer is NO. Vote them ALL out and THEN we can look at truly reforming the healthcare system. I want NOTHING from this cabal of jackels and trust them to do NOTHING for us and EVERYTHING for themselves.
Condemnation before Consideration!
I think MikeinIdaho sums up the modern Republican Party.
Where is the link so I can read the Republican Plan?
The Republican health care plan is coming out soon the leaders of the party tell us. And it will be just like the Republican alternative budget. Maybe 17 pages long (compared to 2000!), no legal language, some nice pictures, and no actual numbers.
Wait, their plan has come out! Told you.

I was wrong about the length, it’s only four pages. And they left out the pictures. But I was right in that it doesn’t have any complicated legal terms and not a single number in the entire thing.
That’s not a bill, that’s a pamphlet. Tax cuts and attack the lawyers? That’s the plan?
I agree. That was sarcasm. The Republican party has no plan, just as they had no alternative budget. They’re only plan is to made sure political contributions from insurance companies keep rolling in.
When has anything that lawyers produce made any sense to anybody besides them?? This language is meant to be so difficult to interpret that we will give up and say “What the hell,do it!” Remember to watch the other hand and not the one they point to or the trick of the loss of freedom will be over!! Are you willing to be the kings subject or the free individual of our constitution? How much are those in congress willing to give up to help this country? I don’t see any of them offering to be the first in line to sign up for their health care plan! I don’t see any of them offering to give up their salary for the year and work that horrid 3 day work week they have to endure! How many of them have offered to give a million dollars or more to help with the deficit, and many of them could afford more than that!! Check out how many in congress are millionaires and all on the salary of a mere $165,200-$80,000, not including benefits, a year! What a bunch of snakes!!
So it took them 2000 pages to tell us that it’s up to us to stay healthy, pay THEM so they can live well and then for us to die if we get sick. These guys are pretty smart…..we need to get smarter and get rid of them by voting them out of office and taking our country back.
Actually that only took four pages. That’s the new Republican plan.
It doesn’t matter if it’s Republican or Democratic…..the health care bill stinks and is not good for anyone except those who plan to get rich off it. I think the whole current government system is being run by crooks on both sides……our freedoms are at risk because of greedy PEOPLE, not a political party…the name of a party is just a cover for a darker intent….I don’t think any of them ( or at least most of them ) really care about the general public….we are simply a means to their end….that end being making them rich.
The greedy people in question are the insurance companies and the legistlators they keep in office.
Line 4 on page 26 should scare all us…..”…establish waiting lists.” This section refers to “Insufficient Funds” being available for the High Risk Pool….how dangerous is it to let the Secretary decide who goes onto this list?
