Shelby Calls for ACORN Investigation

On Tuesday, Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., ranking Republican on the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, wrote to committee Chairman Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Inspector General, Kenneth Donohue, calling for an immediate and thorough investigation into the activities of the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).
Shelby’s call for an investigation follows recent news reports surrounding the arrest of individuals in Florida for falsifying voter applications while employed by ACORN leading up to the 2008 elections, as well as video of employees in multiple ACORN offices offering to falsify tax documents and to aid in obtaining a mortgage for individuals purported to be engaged in prostitution and employing underage illegal immigrants.

Thank you, Senator Shelby…don’t let Senator Dodd cover up this horrible mess…WE THE PEOPLE are behind you 100%!!!
We are just now, seeing SOME of the rotten center of ACORN….. Thanks to the brave young couple, who went under cover… and thanks to Glenn Beck and his staff, for their ceaseless efforts.
Senator Shelby will not be the first, to call for investigation…. and Dod, may have no choice, by the time Beck is through with this.
THANK YOU, FELLOW AMERICANS, FOR YOUR FAIR AND BALANCED SPIRITS!
I question the validity of the 2008 election. Is Obama really our constitutionally elected president? With the accusations & evidence of voter fraud we the people should truly escalate the issue of legitimacy.
As an Ohio voter, I have had wondered the same thing. Especially since our Secretary of State, Jennifer Brunner 1) fought so hard against verifying registrations during the time that the loophole where people could register and vote on the same day was being so obviously exploited by ACORN. and 2) Many of the counties that traditionally report for Republicans had their polling places moved and consolidated, ‘for the ease of data collection’. Now I’m not talking about big counties, so there’s not a lot of data to streamline. Incidentally, my polling place has been moved again, and I received a notification postcard for a registered voter at my address, that is not me.
“Houston, WE have a PROBLEM!”–anything that goes to Dodd’s Desk and has ANYTHING to do with DISTURBING the Dumb-O-crat Status Quo will be promptly DISAPPEAR INTO THE NIGHT!!
Dodd should be right next to PiGlosi for replacement–They are the PROBLEM not the SOLUTION!!
Then I say..if that’s the case, then it’s time charges are brought against Senator Dodd. for obstruction of Justice..These people need to live in the same world the common man/woman does.
We just need someone who ha sthe guts to stand up for what is right, and not follow the “Status Quo”
Teach BUSINESS & ECONOMICS in public schools starting as an elective and you’ll stop the cycle of the underprivileged being taken advantage of by ACORN and the like.
Endless social welfare programs = institutionalized helplessness
Self respect, once lost, is nearly impossible to get back.
In America’s case, it wasn’t lost, it was SOLD for the price of a welfare check.
The real losers here are the ones receiving the handouts.
