Time to Re-found America

Beck: This country — the greatest country the planet has ever seen — was founded by 56 men. And I believe we only need 56 men today to free our government from the rabid corruption and special interests and to protect and defend the republic and the Constitution of the United States of America.
You may have gone to Washington with good intentions and now find yourself in a seemingly impossible situation, you may even think there’s no way out — I’m here to tell you: You are wrong.
If you come clean — and I can’t promise it will be easy, there will be some rough days ahead — but if you come out and start the work of re-founding America, you will have an army behind you.
- Is Beck right? Post your COMMENT below in the FORUM:

I am currently not in the political arena .. and I fully realize that Glenn Beck is looking for current Representatives and Senators .. but, I really think that non-politicians should be in this core mix .. and I really wish to have the privilege of being one of these 56 Americans that would be instrumental in re-founding America.
Although I do not have the political credentials to be one of the 56, I do have other credentials to be considered:
1) a regular church attendee who believes that unless Almighty God is first in our lives, we are doomed to failure
2) a husband of 47 years and still counting
3) a father of 2 and a grandfather of 5
4) 20-year Air Force veteran, including a tour in Vietnam
5) a graduate degree (MBA and a MS)
I just celebrated my 69th birthday and, Lord willing, I still have a few good years of fighting for our country left in me.
Here I am, willing and able to serve again.

Glenn,
Another note on the Precinct Committeeman strategy for taking back the country. I became a precinct committeeman in 1996 not knowing much about the position or how important it was. I was recruited while at work by another conservative who was a PC and felt his own elected representatives were letting him down. It of course has gotten much worse since then. But I have a show and tell book of the battles we have waged, won and lost, against the political power bosses. I think you would find it and the details fascinating. It would also help you understand that this PC strategy would fit into and become a key part of your Re-founding America concept. If you are interested, let me know where I can meet you to show and tell you about the PC strategy.

Glenn,
Thank you so much for your Inspiration.
It has been a great week for Project 912.
Van Jones resigns, head of the NEA resigns, two stings on ACORN (3 to go), and a 1,000,000 plus people march on Washington. We are all making a difference Glenn. But you are the Inspiration.
Glenn, truly I’ve never seen anything like this. YOU are a one-man Revolution for the benefit of the U.S.A.
You are our Rock, and we are your sword.
You touched on a scripture as shown on a protest sign at the march at the capital.
I wanted to cover that completely: Ephesians 6:12 “For struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the principalities (special interests), against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” There is more, and people should read it, the entire passage titled “The Armor of God”.
In the 1640’s, our ancestors in England fought against Tyrannical King, Charles Ist. They overthrew him, and beheaded him. It is worth people looking into him to see the similarity to Obama. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_I_of_England
Their Leader in Parliament they proclaimed:
Oliver Cromwell, Captain-General of the forces of England, Scotland and Ireland, shall be, and is hereby declared to be, Lord Protector of the Commonwealth of England, Scotland and Ireland, and the dominions thereto belonging, for his life.
And so I, being an individual of little significance, though loyal soldier and engineer for this Republic for 52 years feel we should bestow a similar title on you. Not having Knights in the U.S.A., here is my best analogy:
Glenn Beck, Captain-General of the forces of Re-Founding of the United States of America, shall be, and is hereby declared to be, Honourable Protector of the Constitution of the United States of America, and the dominions belonging, for his life.
We are your sword Honourable Protector.
History has a way of repeating itself.
Want to really “do something”? Are you a conservative?
Then choose a Party and become a precinct committeeman.
If you’re not willing to spend a couple of hours of your time a month to save our country, quit reading now. Don’t waste your time.
But if you are willing to spend a few hours a month, then read on. This will blow your mind.
For example, the main adversary of the Democrat Party is the Republican Party. It is at half-strength. It does not have enough conservatives in it. YOU can change that. Read on.
If you are a conservative, I recommend you NOW, right now, get in touch with Republican Parrty and become a Republican Party precinct committeeman (”PC”). PCs get to vote for the leadership of the Party and help determine, by majority vote, which candidates get the endorsement of the Party in the Republican primary races. Only takes a few hours of time a month. With half the PC slots in the Party nationwide vacant, and with a fifty-fifty split right now between conservatives and moderate RINOs in the PC ranks, the Party is there for the taking by conservatives/libertarians if we’d all just get off our duffs and get to a meeting of the local GOP and volunteer to become a PC. Want to save your country? Then invigorate the “main enemy” of the Democrat Party with your presence. Do some creative google searching using the terms precinct and committeeman and republican and party and the name of your county and state.
(By the way, half of the Party leadership, the moderates, DON’T WANT YOU TO BECOME A PC, BECAUSE THEY AND THEIR RINO CRONIES WILL GET VOTED OUT OF THE LEADERSHIP — THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT THIS BASIC CIVICS.)
This should be everyone’s first priority. Blogging and carrying a sign at a Tea Party or attending a town hall is great, but unless we have better leadership and candidates in the main adversary party, the Democrats will get returned to power. It’s all about the Constitution and all about winning the elections. The best way to restore the Constitution and to have better candidates who respect the Constitution is to join the Republican Party at the grass roots and make it happen. It’s a numbers game. The more conservatives we have in the Party in the precinct committeemen ranks, the more likely it will be that we’ll get better elected leadership within the Party and in the general elections. Michael Steele was elected not by registered Republicans but by the precinct committeemen in all fifty states.
Thank you.
Cold Warrior
I am only one. But I am a conservative Republican precinct committeeman and desperately trying to get other Constitution-loving conservatives and libertarians to do the same.
I agree that the Precinct Strategy is vital in our efforts.
We’ll be pursuing this in the near future in our group.
Consider keeping tabs on our progress so we can implement the PS nationwide before January.

Will do.
Let’s get ‘er done.
Thank you.

Any reason why my comments are not being posted? Did I violate some rule? I checked the 9 Principles and 12 values and I don’t think I violated any of them. Is it because I simply advocate that people get involved in one political versus another. If so, could you please let me know? And, if so, do you really think most people who have attended 9/12 events would not think the Republican Party is more in keeping with their conservative values than the Democrat Party.
Oh well. It’s your site. In looking at the comments here, I don’t see how mine were more out of line or offensive than some that you did allow to see the light of day.
Thank you.

Glenn Beck is right on the money. This government is so corrupt it’s not even funny. We need to clean up this once great country of our, and get representatvies who will do the job the right way and listen to us and not the $$ signs. The whole bueracracy has failed-the republicans/conservatives are for giving big businesses the tax breaks and cheap labor, and the democrats/liberals are for themselves and cheap votes.
Glen, buddy, you need a long rest. You have allowed this job to make you near certifiable.
Aren’t you aware that your brief spurt of fame is the same kind of temorary popularity spawned by the same old folks with pitchforks and torches?
As in the past, sooner or later level heads again will rule and a few, including yours (figuratively) will roll.
It’s the moth to the flame syndrome.
Today, to your friends, you are leading a protest of gignatic proportions. Tomorrow you will just be another hot air racist. It’s just not worth the sacrifice.
You are also sounding a bit desperate. Please don’t forgetyour meds.
Glenn,
If you think there are so many Tea party people out there… Why is it that Gallup still has us showing like 70% of us wanting some sort of reform for HealthCare?? What is up with you and Hannity!?? I used to love watching FoxNews when Bush was president b/c I consider myself a patriot first and a Democrat second.. And I hated all the Bush bashing on other stations… I know its obvious to anyone with a brain why you do this, but don’t you think inciting all this anger is harmful to getting a “good” dialogue going between two parties in power?? Having a congressman call the President of the United States a liar on TV was repulsive to me, the same way the Iraqi shoe thrower repulsed me back then when I saw it.
And then you calling him a RACIST on Fox & Friends?!? You’re lucky Papa Bear (O’Reilly) didn’t put you on a cross for that one!!!
Glenn,
Eliminating the party lines and all of the preconceptions that come along with them is a good idea. It just might make for a better dialogue. But some of us have already put up” walls”, because of some of the statements we have made. In past posts, I have referred to you as “tailgunner”, referring to Joe McCarthy. You’re no Joe McCarthy. I apologize for that reference. Maybe you should consider apologizing to President Obama. He is certainly not a racist. Perhaps it would help open a path to communication. Perhaps it could be the beginning of something good.
Glen, how can it be legal and constitutional for the President to come out and say, “Buy General Motors cars?” He should have added, “And chew Wrigley’s Chewing Gum, use Colgate tooth pase and smoke Camel Cigarettes.” Can Ford sue for damages? Who does he think he is?
Success moving forward is going to have to be a combination of a QUARANTINE and SOLUTIONS to major problems that are well presented instead of another catch phrase followed by 1000 pages of details.
Otherwise, a 2010 landslide for challengers isn’t going to fix much in the long run.
http://bringhomethepoliticians.com
Now what needs to happen, is to give these politicians a taste in reality.
END THEIR LEGACY PENSIONS!!!!
If they serve for less then 20 years, they get 1 year of severance pay and insurance. If they want to be covered, they use COBRA, like every person in America gets.
If they serve more then 20 years, which none of them should, they get 2 years of severance and insurance. NO MORE LIFETIME PENSION & INSURANCE FOR THEM OR THEIR FAMILIES. And it should take effect immediately, no grandfathering in any current politician who has been “SERVING”.
See how long they last
After Glenn’s long teach-in about the “nefarious” imagery in the murals in the Rockefeller Center it is curious why all that was lost on the communist and socialist symbols used in his 9-12 March on Washington logo.
Read more here. Benn is cherry picking, it would seem.
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/culturemonster/2009/09/glenn-becks-912-logo-based-on-on-communist-and-socialist-designs.html
Puh-lease!!! A raised fist has been symbolic of protest for hundreds, if not thousands of years….
Glenn, May I suggest that rather than urge a pox on both political parties, you urge the registered party members to take back their respective parties by becoming precinct committeemen and taking back the reins of power from the Congressional delegation members. We are trying to do that in Arizona. Senators McCain, and Kyl and Representatives Shadegg and Flake are doing their best to turn over the U.S. to Mexico and to get rid of any precinct committeemen who oppose that concept and the rest of McCain’s agenda. People leaving the parties in protest to become independents is giving up the fight for their country. That is what the political bosses want people to do. They then have no opposition to their agenda. We are fighting a life and death struggle here, Glenn. We could use your help.
Rob Haney
Chairman
Maricopa County Republican Party
Elected by Precinct Committeemen who voted against the recommendation of the Congressional Delegation mentioned above.
Here, here, people need to know that this is the solution to the two party vs. third party issue.
http://bringhomethepoliticians.com
I agree 100 per cent with Rob Haney and have been working with him to help conservative, Constitution-loving Arizonans to take back their country precinct by precinct. Want more conservative, Constitution-following elected Party leaders and officeholders? Do it by taking back the Party of your choice. If you examine the Republican Party Platform you’ll find it to be very conservative — the problem is that too many “Republicans In Name Only,” RINOs, are in the Party in the leadership and in elected office. We can change that in the next round of elections if we fill up all the vacant precinct committeeman slots with conservatives. Precinct committeemen, and only precinct committeemen, get to vote for the leadership and to endorse candidates through the Party organization. What better conservative Party leaders and candidates. Then become a precinct committeeman. It’s not hard. Only requires a couple of hours a month. Just do it! Your country needs you!
ColdWarrior
American first, conservative second, Republican Party precinct committeeman by necessity.
A lot of people here are against things that are against the Constitution, which I rightly agree with. Please get rid of everything in this country that is unconstitutional:
In God We Trust needs to be removed from our currency.
The Pledge of Allegiance needs to have references to God removed.
The Constitution of every state in this country needs to remove references to God.
An an extra one for good measure:
American movie theaters must play the new movie about Darwin.
We have a LOT of work to do, but Americans have never been afraid of hard work!
We’ll get it done, because that’s what we do.
http://www.firecongress.org
Americans not afraid of hard work?! Tell that to your companies who keep sending our jobs overseas!!
If we fired all of congress, who would we elect in there to take their place??
Lets just give everyone biometric access to a secure place where they can vote on everything! Lets just eliminate the middle men altogether! No more House of Reps, no more Senate.. Just a server farm accepting our input and relaying our broad wishes to the executive branch to act on. Oh WAIT?!?! But then if we didn’t get our way, it would be a huge government conspiracy and they were secretly controlling all of the votes!! And oh NO!! What about the elderly who can’t login to a computer?!?! Look people, there are hard working, country loving people working behind the scenes in ALL facets of our government… Going on about getting rid of all of them only incites this kind of rhetoric in the first place!
Shame on you Glenn! You are by far the craziest gringo on TV!
Benn Gleck
We may not have removed the word(s) God from our; constitution, the pledge of allegiance and our currency, but we certainly have remove God.
And as an extra one for good measure: sounds like you have also removed God from your own life.
There are three sides to this issue of is there a God and should we remove Him.
Side One: to a pessimist & optimist there is a 50/50 chance that there is a God.
Side Two: to an uninformed believer there is no God.
Side Three: to a Christian like the ones who wrote the constitution, the pledge of allegiance and put the words In God We Trust on our currency, knew for a fact that there was a God.
I also am a Christian who believes there is a God. My prayer is that all non-belivers not only read Darwin’s book on Evolution, but also read the Bible, so they can make an informed decision on if there is or is not a God. Their very souls depend upon the true and factual information they extract from both books. Then and only then can an individual truly say he is does not believe in God or he does believe in God, because only one of the books can be right.
Andy,
Why must there only be one right answer? I find this kind of thinking about absolutism to be self-defeating… I believe “Intelligent Design” is the answer you are looking for, since last I checked, there were STILL DINOSAUR FOSSILS at the museum here in town. Darwin’s thinking was ahead of its time, and current scientific advances in anthropolgy are based off of his “evil book”.
I believe what Benn was alluding to was the fact that the constitution provides for a SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE… If you want a government ruled by religious doctrine, check out how well that is going for the Afghanistan women forced to cover up to abide by their local practices… Are you ready to give up drinking? Smoking? Playing music and dancing?!
Gentleman, stop for a minute. The Constitution, in it’s original form, didn’t guarantee a separation of Church and State. In Revolutionary times the Government aided religion and promoted God. What the Constitution was meant to do was to keep the Government from dictating a certain state-sponsored religion. NEVER at any time did our Founders expect us to remove God from every facet of our lives. That is wholly against the words “inalienable rights”. Our rights aren’t given to us by man, they are rights that all free men know are natural rights, rights that only He can bestow. The terminology and this idea of Seperation of Church and State only came from the court case of Everson vs Board of Education when Associate Justice Hugo Black wrote the majority determination and he said that there must be a total separation, as the Constitution intended. The Constitution NEVER intended that. Lets note that Black was an FDR-appointed judge. FDR and his New Deal was one of this largest intrusions on our freedoms America has ever seen. It grew the Federal Governments control in huge leaps and measures. And FDR wanted that control. Chief Justice William Rehnquist argued back in the early 80’s that Everson vs Board of Education was the biggest subversion of the First Amendment in US History and affectively altered the First Amendment from its true meaning and without the required supermajority of votes in both Houses of Congress and 3/4 of the States, as is required of all Constitutional amendments. By this nefarious ruling God is now wrongly being stripped from everything and our Founding Fathers never ever had that intent. You people out there really think that George Washington, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, and all the others really wanted to cut God out of the US? Everything they wrote about, argued about, debated about was about keeping God IN America. Without God there can be NO inalienable rights because they knew that inalienable rights are not granted to man by man, but to man by God. That’s what the Liberals want people to think that the Government gives men rights. In order to push that agenda, God has to be removed. Lets not be saying the Constitution meant for total seperation of church and state….that God should be removed from everything, because that simply isn’t true. Religion had a big part in early American government.
This is a good and brave thing to do. America is about being free, living and let live, and helping who and when we can. I think Glenn is crazy but right in asking questions, and it’s not un-American for us the people to do the same..
Shame on Glenn Beck for taking advantage of the grief and anger associated with 9-11.
9-12 was about coming together to honor the dead, and rising up as a country that has been the target by a cowardly attack.
9-12 was also a celebration of the things we value as Americans, including our right to democratically elect our government representatives: everyone from our mayors to our president.
In November 2008, Obama won the presidency through a democratic election.
America voted for change, and change is what we’re getting. That’s democracy.
BUT…he won that election by running on Middle Class tax cuts and aided by a very friendly media like the New York Times which killed a story in October that revealed the BO camp directing donors who capped out on campaign donations to give money to ACORN because it was essentially donating to the campaign under a different name.
The NYT higher ups killed the story because they said it would’ve been a “Game Changer”
This is why BO won, no one in MSM took the time to properly vet this guy and now we’ve got Czar-O-Rama with some very shady individuals that make Van Jones look like a Boy Scout.
Look up Holdren (not a czar) and the 1977 book he co-authored called ECOSCIENCE if you want some out there reading. He peppers the book with the phrase “planetary regime” and calls for the importance of forced birth control for women started at adolescence through implanted birth control that they’ll need permission from the state to remove.
I didn’t believe it until I actually saw it on Questia.com

Please explain why you believe a public option only 5% of Americans would choose is an issue of freedom and why it threatens you. ~~~~~~~~~~
It doesn’t threaten me. The reason for having it, though is to eventually go to a universal single payer system.
3/24/09 at an SEIU health care forum: “My commitment is to make sure that we have universal health care for all American by the end of my first term as president. I don’t think we’re going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There’s going to be, potentially, some transition process. I can envision a decade out, or 15 t o 20 years out.” — President Barack Obama 2003 in a speech to the AFL-CIO: “I happen to be a proponent of single payer universal health care. That is what I would like to see.” Barack Obama. 7/7/09 Rep. Barney Frank (D): “I think if we get a good public option it could lead to a single payer, and that is the best way to reach single payer.” 4/8/09 Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D): “…and next to me was a guy from the insurance company who then argued against the public option, saying it wouldn’t let private insurance companies compete. The public option will put the private insurance industry out of business and lead to single payer. HE WAS RIGHT. THE MAN WAS RIGHT. All the dancing around now is like Officer Brady on South Park. “Move along. there’s nothing to see here. Just move along.”
He isn’t talking about anything we’re doing today, or even plan on doing. That quote is from way back when they had overwhelming support for health care, back before pundits like Beck got their hands on it. What we need and what we’re going to get now is a small option it’s estimated only 6 percent would take and better regulation on Health care which would put into place regulations which would attempt to make the insurance providers honor the service that you pay for.
March of 2009 was way back? How about Barney Frank in July of 2009 and Rep Schakowsky in April of 2009? The only on that was “way back” was the 2003 statement to the AFL-CIO. Otherwise, all the statements were from THIS YEAR. Notice the reason for a public option in their statements was not to help the “5%” who would use it. It was to put the insurance companies out of business and insure that universal single payer became a reality. Never have I heard of the Federal Government trying to run private businesses bankrupt. It is a new one on me. Maybe it has happened in the past but I have not seen it. Sorry but the year 2009 is recent, not way back
in the context of this debate it IS way back. The flurry over the public option started in June, which is when the approval ratings slipped. Now it’s time to put ideology aside, and put forth a viable reform, which is what they have done.
I agree they need a viable form. i am not against health, or health insurance, reform. I do not trust Congress and haven’t for many years, no matter what party was in the majority. Just look at what the Republicans did in the last 8 years that they were in the majority. But when a politicians says they want the public option to turn into the single payer, then say no, but we do need to have a public option, I cringe. When they say no we don’t need a public option, just a trigger, I cringe. When they say, “We can do one until we get the other,” I cringe. There are many things we can do to bring down the cost. Government has a role, one they have been lax in doing for decades. What ever happened to the anti monopoly laws. When did single businesses become to big to fail. Government needs to step in before that has happened. Both sides of the aisle have failed to protect all Americans from that happening. I think there have been many good strides to where we can have a workable health care reform. Both sides have very workable ideas that can work together. I just think that, from what the politicians have said, they are willing to get a little bit now to get the whole pie later.
I see what you’re saying and I can relate. I am young and for basically since I became politically active a government in which I had no faith in was in power. But the reform now is very mild and there seems to be a lot of reactionary bigotry involved in the debate. Basically what it comes down to is can you give a new administration the benefit of the doubt? Basically for the average republican who isn’t a senator it is win win; if it succeeds, you will feel the benefits, and if it fails, Obama goes down and republicans reclaim power. So all we want is for people like you, who seem very reasonable, not to assume that the bill will become some form of socialism, and not to shoot Obama down on principal.
The flurry is that it has been consistently proven to fail in both this country (Massachusetts has this plan in place and has had to resort to rationing after 3 years of implementation) and in other countries.
Model health insurance after car insurance and the problem is fixed by allowing competition to 1) Lower Costs, 2) Improve Care, 3) CREATE JOBS!!!, 4) Not cost TRILLION$, BILLION$, or even MILLION$ in taxpayer dollars.
You just need to remove regulations that allow for state insurance monopolies.
No, don’t “model health insurance” under any federal plan whatsoever. People’s health is not within the enumerated powers of the federal government, therefore any socialist tinkering with issues such as insurane or healthcare generally, is ILLEGAL. Got it? ILLEGAL for the government to get involved in.
@DavidMZuniga
I agree with your position, but that position is far from the current trench line and I’m advocating the car insurance model as means of bridging that gap.
What is so scary about a single payer system? We were rated 37th globally in terms of quality of healthcare. The top 5 had single payer systems. While I’m not a steadfast supporter of single payer, I don’t understand why so many are actually frightened of it. There are benefits to be had in a single payer system, which would be one of the reasons why we’re the only industrialized nation without one.
I see this stemming from a fear of change. People would rather stay with something that is broken yet familiar than switch to something worthwhile and different.
link197 – things are not going the way ~100,000 people want. That is why the election in 2008 doesn’t count. It’s really best that we just say “let’s just start all over.” Nothing screams patriotism like just declaring the current democratically elected government null and void and starting over. I mean, look at Russia. They do it all the time. In 2007, Putin didn’t like the way things were going and dissolved all of parliament.
Oh good you’re kidding. For a second there i was really scared.
Fortunately, he is dead serious. Zippy doesn’t kid around, and I should know.
The fact of the matter is, is that Glenn Beck has successfully shattered the Republican party and guaranteed victory for the Democrats in 2010.
“shattered the republican party.”
Sounds exactly like the miscalculation Repubs made about the Hillary vs. Obama primary.
Make no mistake, people WILL vote for the one with the best chance of unseating Dems.
Oh good – screenshot time! Nothing screams freedom like censorship!
Why do my comments keep getting deleted?
Oh good – screenshot time! Nothing says freedom like censorship!
Glenn THANK YOU for bringing out the TRUTH – KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! There are many many good Americans out there that are beginning to wake up and we need your VOICE!
Giving the comments I’ve read and seen on TV leads me to the conclusion that we need another MARCH SOON!
The government is still not listening – they are still ignoring us – BUT are numbers still continue to GROW!
It’s not that the government isn’t listening, its just that you’re still the minority. A majority of people still support a plan with a public option. You can’t sway the direction of a democracy with a few protests. Protesters don’t represent the view of the majority, which is what democracy is all about. The fact is that the president and congress were elected by our system, and are working still with the support of a majority. Maybe someday you will have the majority, but that isn’t today, and therefore your protest is over ruled.
hey ace, we are not a democracy. the rights of the individual are protected by our forgotten Constitution, not the rights of the majority. you and your friends are free to do as you wish until you infringe my rights. the specific powers the federal government where granted do not include jurisdiction over my health care. you wish to concede your authority and money to the government to care for your health, feel free. do not think you will force me to.
True, we are a republic, as the founding fathers did not want the common man to get his hands on the political process. But free man, Health care is in no way an issue of personal right, as it is no where in the constitution, which makes this a muddy area. However, you must understand that no one wants to take away your health care. You would benefit from reform! What reform aims to do is simply regulate Insurance providers so that they will have to honor their obligations to you.
If you have heard a lot of scary things about health care, such as it will grant freee health care to illegal immigrants, i suggest you read this
http://www.factcheck.org/2009/08/twenty-six-lies-about-hr-3200/
It might clear some things up for you.
“link197″,
Your preposterous proposition that “health care is in no way an issue of personal right, as it is no where [sic] in the constitution [sic]” suggests that the only “muddy area” is the one between your ears. Do you suggest that only issues of personal right are included in the U.S. Constitution? What socialist hogswallop are you peddling as constitutional theory?
The U.S. Constitution is a law FOR GOVERNMENT; the supreme law by which the federal government was created by the sovereign States and sovereign People. It is a law of limitation and of SPECIFICALLY enumerated powers conferred on our creature, by us — its creators.
Issues of “personal right” notwithstanding, the U.S. Constitution is all about the common (federal, federated, foedus) government we created to serve us in the (20) enumerated ways found in Article I, Section 8….not to become an overweening false god walking on earth.
Yes, please march again. Please. Please!!!
:^)
(why was my previous comment deleted?)
This change in the blog is as unprofessional as Glenn’s show… What a joke!
Also, before I go:
If you’re going to spend a lot of time and money traveling to Washington DC to protest policies you do not agree with, please take three or four seconds to make sure you spell the words on your signs properly. I’m really not trying to be rude or condescending, but seriously. There is no excuse for going through so much effort to protest, and then not spelling your message properly. It’s tacky and sloppy, and conveys that you don’t really care about what you’re saying. Have some respect for yourself, and respect for your cause, and what you are wanting to say.
Very best.
PS: There are plenty of sites online that will spell check for you. Programs like MS Word and Google Docs will also spell check for you.
:^)
Hey Zippy – You are gonna get all the video you want when WE the American People TAKE BACK THIS COUNTRY – but you might be CRYING WHILE YOU WATCH IT!
Why are you threatening Zippy? He was just trying to educate you, you sausage fingered bastard!
Hahahaha. Exactly my point!!!!! Thank you. I had a lousy day. You just made it a whole lot better. It’s like a real life South Park episode.
:^)
What makes you a real American and us not? I was born here, and I am descended from a pilgrim who wrote the mayflower compact. The idea that you are a real American and I am not because we have ideological differences is absolutely ludicrous. I am a real American, and you are a real American. Also, it was a majority of REAL AMERICANS who voted the current president into office, as well as the real Americans who voted McCain. Respect the democratic process, and admit that Obama was not somehow elected by means of trickery or corruption.
maybe we could hire acorn to print some up?
Acorn, really? Diverting to the controversy that non partisan Fact Check.org called “breathtakingly inaccurate”? Tell me, did you ever look up what Acorn actually did? What some Acorn employees participated in was Voter Registration Fraud, which is what happens when a bored and lazy 8 dollar an hour employee sends in a fake registration to meet a goal and get paid. While Obama did have ties with this organization, Acorn was never accused of submitting even one actual vote in a presidential election, and the employees actions were completely of their own volition, with no ties to anyone who was paid by Obama. Obama did pay 500k to this organization during the democratic primaries, but that is as deep as the connection goes. I urge you to research issues before blindly repeating words which have gained a negative connotation, such as Acorn. All you do is cloud the issue with easily reputable nonsense.
Please, please, please America do not stop. This has seriously been the funniest month ever. It’s going to be a real bummer when this whole thing fizzles and I don’t have hours of hilarious tea party footage to watch every night. Glenn Beck is the best community organizer ever! He organized a community of hilarity this past weekend.
Keep it of. We love you all!

The Constitution states “We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal. That they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government.” Our Founding Fathers are turning summersaults in their graves. When are we, as United States Citizens, going to say- “Enough is enough!” Is it even possible for us to unite and bring this Constituional right to fruition? Are there even enough of us to? I am tired of being lied to, tired of rigged elections that make me feel like voting is useless. What is this country anyway, communist, socialist, democratic? I can’t tell anymore….. someone please enlighten me.
Give our plan a look. We believe we’ve got the solution and could definitely use your help if you have it to give.
http://bringhomethepoliticians.com
“bringhomethepoliticians” is not the solution, for goodness’ sakes. It is a very good single aspect of a solution, as are some of the other reforms you propose.
BRING HOME is the solution is that it opens the gateway to good ideas actually being implemented like a Fullback that creates a whole in the defensive line for a RunningBack (good ideas) to get through.
we are a Constitutional Republic.

What exactly do you see which is communist or socialist in recent policy?
Yes, this is a great strategy for exposing the corrupt, but you can do more by actually solving the major problems that are continually used as PRETENSES for this awful legislation.
Solve for the PRETENSE and they don’t have anything to hide behind and are left fully exposed.
For example:
HEALTH CARE – model it after our successful car insurance model which also handles expensive operations (repairs) and regular checkups (oil changes, etc.). You can do this simply by breaking up the state insurance monopoly regulation.
Doing this will create jobs, lower costs, improve care which are all the main reasons being given for doing this legislation. Advocate the care insurance model and they’ll have no justification for spending TRILLION$, BILLION$, or even MILLION$!
IMMIGRATION – This is also important to solve because I’m sure they’re planning to get 12 million added to the voter rolls in time for 2010 so they can have the votes needed to save seats that would normally disappear for the DNC.
Do this by getting out of the WALL vs. AMNESTY trench war and realize both won’t work until the economy of Mexico is fixed.
This can be accomplished by using US pressure to breakup the major monopolies south of the border to allow for competition which will create jobs removing the overwhelming need to head north illegally and draw back some of the current illegal population who will be looking to make a small fortune using the skills they’ve gained here in the states.
Only after the economic inferno in Mexico is put out, will immigration reform (no matter what it is) have a shot at actually working.
http://bringhomethepoliticians.com
DEREGULATION and TORT REFORM is the key to the health care issue. The example is the car insurance industry. Many have forgotten that once upon a time you could only buy motor insurance only in your state and the price was what the price was and there was no option if you wanted insurance. When people were finally able to shop other companies in other states – wow, the price became reasonable. I do not advocate the “you will have health insurance” clause, as we are not talking about the same type of liability (e.g. poor driving habits vs. health issues). I believe that making it possible for the public at large and small/large business to “shop” for health insurance would drive the premiums down so it is affordable. AND if tort reform is done at the same time to stop the frivolous lawsuits (e.g. LOOSER PAYS ALL COSTS) that would further drive the costs down. Not to say that there are not legitimate cases but get real – a scaled lap from hot coffee being spilt (e.g. McDonalds)
Illegals are not welcome; I have to prove every time I apply to a job that I am an American Citizen (that’s an other issue for sure) and that should be a mandatory clause in the health care legislation – not a citizen, you cant buy health insurance. I don’t think that illegals need to be denied the care of a emergency room because they cant pay or were hurt climbing a fence but they can be sent home from there. I am sorry that the family is here too – they can go back with them.
My Dad worked and retired as a civilian employee for the Dept of Defense; when he left, he was told that the Office of Personnel Management would be in contact about who he could choose to be his health insurance carrier. He received a packet containing 4000 companies he could choose from, the premium, the percentage covered, overall what was covered and the deductible. He receives a new packet every year during “open season”. SO if the government (e.g. DOD and others) already do this, then it is not hard for the proposed legislation to follow what is already in place.
Our legislative branches of government have forgotten how to use the KISS principal and use what is workable for all and not over burden the people with legislation, regulation and long bills that fix absolutely nothing.
Glenn I hope this country realize how Lucky they are to have you looking out for them.
Gosh Dang, a grass roots movement sponsored by Fox.
Pass the pork rinds, kick back and watch the sensationalism brought to you by the same people as the Octamom reality show.
I think it isn’t really GRASSROOTS if its sponsored by a huge cable network. The reason grassroots is called that is because it goes from the bottom up. A protest started by one of the highest rated entertainment networks is definitely top down.
Even if it was a fully Fox sponsored grassroots movement, it pails in comparison to the rival SEIU (look out cancer patients), Moveon.org (watch your fingers), and ACORN (which is falling from grace as we speak).
Another key difference is that attendees at the 9/12 rally were there on their own dime (they even had to kick in for the bus rides) while SEIU, Moveon.org, ACORN, et al are paid protesters, some of whom were solicited on Craigslist of all places with offers of $11-15 per hour.
How’s that for AstroTurf!
I didn’t say it was astroturf, nor did i suggest these protesters were flown in by corporations. I do not, however, believe that this is the tradition definition of grassroots. In fact, around 50% of the people there to protest socialism can not even define it. That seems to suggest that it was not started by a handful of regular blue collar people with facts on their side but rather by someone with an agenda, someone very good at polarizing its base. While not astroturf, it still isn’t true grassroots.
“to protest socialism can not even define it.”
That is a profound statement across the board since SOCIALISM is actually the worst case scenario of capitalism with everyone working for one person or one group of people (board of directors) telling them how much they’ll get paid, what they can and can’t work on, etc.
On top of that socialism isn’t even a NEW idea. It’s so old (nearly a century) that it should be collecting social security.
It’s not a revolution, it’s a rerun that always ends badly (even socialist light countries like Canada, France, etc. are looking for free market answers to parts of their failing socialized health care systems.
My husband and friends and I were not able to go to Washington DC, for the 9/12 project, but we could not pass up the oportunity to show our support, by attending a local tea party.
The idea that this is a partisan, or right wing effort, is a deeply, erroneous summation, by many people, especially and most unfortunately, by the current administration. This movement is about the principals of freedom, independence, personal responsibility and human decency. These are the basic fundamental, American principals, upon which our country was founded and we are aware that our highest principals and values, are being threatened. We will not allow this to continue. We will not allow government corruption to continue. It is not so much the greatness of our numbers, that will restore our freedoms, but our greatness of spirit.
Please explain why you believe a public option only 5% of Americans would choose is an issue of freedom and why it threatens you. I am also a citizen of the United States, a country which I love, and I cannot comprehend why anyone would feel threatened by health care reform which will most likely leave your current insurance untouched.
Because this is the exact same strategy that was used to nationalize school loans by undercutting private providers (this process is almost complete with the impending education bill).
A good example is how the US Post Office’s shipping rates are always cheaper than UPS & FedEX because they’re taxpayer subsidized.
If USPS made a serious push into UPS & FedEX’s turf of commercial and residential shipping backed by unlimited funding at the expense of taxpayers, UPS & FedEX would be wiped out.
The most insulting thing about this whole debate is that there is a simple solution to health care which is to model it after our successful car insurance model.
Cars, like people, require costly repairs from time to time and routine checkups. $25,000 in auto collision coverage runs $50 a month. There’s no reason why this can’t be applied to individuals, that is once the regulations that allow for state insurance monopolies are removed.
Competition under the car insurance model will:
1) Lower Costs (even for medicaid because they draw from the same resource pool)
2) Improve Care
3) CREATE JOBS!!! (and good ones, not like the 3 million estimated from this plan by lowering standards for new technicians while simultaneously handicapping doctors)
4) Not cost TRILLION$, BILLION$, or even MILLION$ to implement, just a simple bill removing the obstructive anti-interstate commerce for health care regulation.
“A majority of people still support a plan with a public option. You can’t sway the direction of a democracy with a few protests. Protesters don’t represent the view of the majority, which is what democracy is all about. ”
Which one is it 5% or a majority who support a public option. I guess it doesn’t matter anyway since you are most likely wrong on both counts. Show me the facts. Guess what we are not a democracy we are a Republic.
I read your posts as if Hannibal Lecter were reading them to me. It is your seemingly nice words with an angry undertone that is really creepy.
5% is who would actually utilize the public option, and the majority still supports it. And no, I don’t remember the scene in silence of the lambs where Hannibal Lecter reads off points in a health care debate. That must have been the really boring, straight to dvd sequel.
I think Glenn was right on TV the other night when he sorta told us how the white race is the one that built this country. I heard somewhere that only negro women are the ones having most of the abortions. I like how Glenn doesn’t try to be pc as they say when he tells us how the whites are the ones who made the usa what it is today.
If your white, stay in america. if your not, then you are probably the reason we are refounding the country. Will the new usa have a different web site than the current one? Will I need to buy a new flag?
God Bless yall!
It seems that these times are a great oportunity for learning the lessons of mutual respect. Glenn Beck has urged this, from the beginning. We are re-establishing a lot of the highest values of our founding fathers and leaving behind, the bigotry and hatefulness, that held us back, for too long. The spirit that lives within our people, is the spirit of our nation.
Mitakuye Oyasin~ All My Relations~ We Are One.
I agree Kola, Mitakuye Oyasin
Please PLEASE check your facts. You are perpetuating myths which are destroying this wonderful country. “The highest percentages of reported abortions were for women who were unmarried (82%), white (55%), and aged <25 years (51%)." This is from the CDC website. It took me about 7 seconds to find on Google. Please, look into your beliefs before you form harmful opinions.
Please read the 9 principles and 12 values. I’m looking at them now and dont see anything about blaming, excluding or the superiority of anyone. In fact it is the opposite.
My awakening first really begin when I watched “The Constitution Class” series of videos by Michael Badnarik. Send all the links for them to your Congresspeople along with the link to this blog. Dare them to stand up and be counted.
Here is the first one…. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5085838350268647159&ei=sELlSfjQBYKGqQPE3O36Aw&q=michael+badnarik&emb=1# , google for the others. There are 7 of them, each approx. an hour long. You can download them.
I learned more about our Constitution and our country from these videos than I ever learned in school or in my whole life. I am now 53. Once I finished the series, I then looked to what our Govt. was currently doing. My eyes have been opened wide and I now can understand all that Mr. Beck has been trying to show us and what the dangers truly are. I think that these videos should be required viewing for all High School students across the nation. Especially now as they will be the “new voting base” in 2010. If your local teachers will not show them in your schools, see about obtaining Mr. Badnarik as a speaker in your hometown. Share the above link with everyone you possibly can. If I tell two friends, who tell two friends….etc.
To go about saving something, first you have to know what it is you are trying to save and why it matters so much! Educate our children, as they are the future of our country. I can now state that I am proud to be an “American Citizen” and not a “U.S. Citizen”. Watch the videos to know what the difference between the two are, and why, because it is very important to the future of this, our magnificent country! Thanks for reading this.
this is a must watch for all the new “Patriots”.
Glenn should definitely invite Badnarik on the show. For anyone who isn’t aware, he was the 2004 presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party. He’s a true constitutional scholar; Glenn’s audience would benefit greatly from being exposed to his work.
I can’t believe that you just censured a legitimate question! I was asking Glenn if he feels that this can be accomplished with the Constitution as it is now, or if it needs to be changed?
apparently anything not in lock step with Glenn gets censored.
ask why he does not endorse Ron Paul and your question vanishes.
Best to screenshot your questions immediately after posting them. Perhaps we should start a blog of all the censored questions on Glenn Beck’s blog?
We truly are behind you!! Please step up and help us “clean house” & restore our great nation!!
It only takes 1 to be the brave hero – the first man or woman to step up… others will follow when they know they are not alone!!
How do I “come clean?” And which army will be behind me?
I advocate voting in your next election for someone new. Vote your party – or not. Just vote for somebody different. It will take courage for everyone to try someone a bit unproven in government. But, someone new can’t be any worse than what we are dealing with now! The slate must be swept clean. Only then will we have access to the halls of government which are so corrupted by career politicians, politicians owned by lobbyists or special interests, and amoral, biggoted, and dishonest politicians.
Vote New!
Yes, DeeBrite, thank you and as Glenn has suggested….. it’s the only way, to quaranteen the disease of corruption!

May I introduce you to the TRUE defender of Liberty?
http://www.ronpaullibrary.org/
Ron Paul is my president.
Would you mind explaining to me exactly what YOU PERSONALLY object to in regards to the Obama administration? I’m just confused as to why you think this administration is amoral or bigoted.
