7/9 From The Editor Re: A Second Stimulus Package? – No sir, not until you return the first one and get a refund.

We’re hearing much out of DC this week days about the economy and the stimulus.
I look at the non-performing, massively-expensive, ironically-titled (it’s officially called the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) stimulus bill the way one would look at a car bought on impulse or maybe out of desperation.
Yeah, I probably should have listened to my wife or done more research on the car… should have thought twice about spending all that money for options and add-ons I probably would not ever need or use. But I was seduced into buying it. Had to have it. And now, six months into owning this very expensive car that I don’t need and ultimately cannot afford, I am not going to do what Congress is considering. I am not going to run out and buy ANOTHER car. No normal person would. You would take back the wrong car, accept the small loss and get the one I should have purchased the first time. One that will do ONLY what I need (ok, maybe I’ll get the heated seats too).
Before they write another Stimulus Bill, let’s negate this one. Take it back to the dealers – accept the loss. Or sell it on Ebay. We’ve only spent 12% of the allocated monies. That means about 675 BILLION dollars would not be wasted!
Rescind the bad stimulus before you stick us with another one.
