This freedom of the press "lies" most stop. When the news media prints garbage they know is untrue just to undermine good peoples Ideals, so as to make others they support look better; Obama is a very good example of the press printing only nice news about Obama, while the voters have absolutely no Idea what he really stands for. Well we are now getting an excellent idea what the real Obama actualy stands for!

Palin's charactor has been assassinated by the "Free" news media, and bloggers that make up stories they know are false! The news media intervewed this blogger, like she knew what she was talking about. Of course, they knew it was false when they printed the stories!

  2. 1776time says:

The liberal controlled media has to trash Palin. After all, I think she is the one true threat to the leftist progressive swine movement in this country that has it's hoofs on a death grip to this country's freedom. I see them really being afraid of her. She's honest, strong, a true person of integrity and not one of the typical Washington swine community. I believe she actually is concerned about our country more than just holding an office. She just needs to be real careful who she would choose for a running mate, if she would choose to run in 2012. I'm not even sure of the party she should run under, due to the shortage of any good republicans. I'd vote for her!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. topshot says:

You can always tell when the Left is afraid of someone, they go into the TRASH EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM MODE. With the ready help of the liberal media they are working overtime. All I can tell them is " BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID " Nobody yet really knows why Sara did what she did, I for one trust that she had a good reason whatever it is. I trust this woman and will give her that trust until and IF she breaks it. She is one of us, just common people who Love this country with all our hearts. Many of us have served our country in the military, many others have served this country in other important ways. I think 99.9% of us on this site feel the outrage for what this administration is doing to our nation. Sara I'm convinced will help lead the charge against this OBAMAnation that's going on. I will back Her in whatever way she decides to act. She could use our prayers for the onslaught that will be coming at her.

I hope Sarah rips the left a new one

  7. Gone says:

Maybe she and her story can be the distraction we need against the libs. The question is; what are we going to do while they are watching her?

  8. Tim says:

I think she was coerced into resigning. I think she cares too much about her state just to throw in the towel on her own. I think she had more power to unite as governor.

  9. Minuteman79 says:

I'm not exactly sure what she is doing, however…given the choice I would still vote for her for the presidency in 2012. I heard a democrat tell the fill-in host of the Glenn Beck show that he would vote for her, that many middle of the road democrats would vote for her. It's not about parties, it's about the right person. She isn't gone, she's just not the governor of Alaska anymore. And like others have said…I didn't vote for McCain, I voted for Palin.

  10. TrmLmts says:

If only the DCDinos would follow Sarah’s example and term limit themselves. We all know that they will not so let’s do it for them and to them.

    • dicknann says:

I'm with you 100%. Term limits just like the president 2 terms. We can put it to a vote of the people by petition to get it on the ballot

      • TrmLmts says:

Amen brother! Two terms OR 8 years is enough for Congress and 1 term for Senators, If they can't steal enough in that time period, they aren't smart enough to be there in the first place.

  11. ChrisTyd says:

Sarah Palin has the left poopin their pants!!
I hope she has the strength to run as an independent and ignore both parties. The Democrats hate/fear her and the Republicans never had her back.

  12. Tntsgram says:

Sarah knows that because of all the false claims and defamation to her character and her family, running for re-election would not be an option. Instead, she left her government and State of Alaska set up to succeed and gave her Lt Gov the opportunity to 'take the ball' and run with it. She said she felt that she could not continue to do her job knowing the false claims were costing Alaska millions to research. She has more integrity in her little finger then all the GOP and Dems rolled up into one. She has given so much to so many, and will come out on top of all of this, much to the chagrin of her enemies who are evil and many. Sarah, sue away, make the liars answerable via their wallets for what they set out to do. They have NOT destroyed Sarah, only made her more determined to make the wrong right.

  13. STJORDAN says:

I beleive the reason for the relentless attack by the libral media is because "they" (and we know who "they" are) know she lives the ideals this country was founded on. She is one of "us" and can connect on a personnal level with just about everyone in this country. All of this terrifies the left and the media that is in the tank for them. I beleive she will unite the party. I would like to see her as a vice presidential candidate; perhaps with Newt Gengrich. He has the eloquence and the intelligence to give O a run for his money.

  14. fande3rls says:

Just a thought , we all complain about the kind of person running for office , then we get some one as good and honest as Sarah and what happens the machine does its best to destroy them . And we wonder why no one really good runs for office. just think about it
    IN LIBERTY
There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.

    • Zymogene says:

I have to say I don't remember anyone getting ripped like she has. I have seen those have some skeletons pulled out of the closet and be kicked around some. But when these people couldn't find anything, they just made stuff up, and then to go after the kids like they did….it's just brutal. Heck they even went after Joe the Plumber for a simple question. Who wants to subject themselves to this abuse, when now apparently nothing is off limits, even the children. Doesn't even have to be true anymore……just childish smear games to bankrupt people. I don't think there's a handful who could stand up for this bashing, especially when their family is bashed as well.

  15. I like to think of Sarah Palin as a hotter Obiwan Kinobi (did i spell it right?) shes just been slayed by the "evil Lord Vader" (democrats being vader and the media being the lightsaber) and now she wispers to us dont worry, ill be back and stronger than ever.

  16. EWP says:

I was sad for awhile about her decision – but I hope she remains in politics. She is a breath of fresh air – in this political attmosphere that is corrupt and selfserving. One of the comments above was that Obama and others use tax payers money to campaign – collecting their salaries while campaigning on the job! Go Sara – you have my support and vote in the future!

  17. opinionist says:

Does anyone from Alaska think that Sarah Palin has somehow "abandoned" them by not serving out her full term? Action based on principles and values are foreign to the progressives and they seem confused. The progressives have set expectations so low for her that intelligent policy based on principles will have a positive shock value. It will be fun to see them try to argue against principles and values. The progressives are skating on ice so thin a small crack will send them down.

  18. gragar says:

Finally a politician steps down when they know they are not longer effective. How many more should do that? I say Yeah for Sarah. She could be the one person to fire up the Republican party. I don't see her running for President in 2012 but I see her uniting the people and the party. She can do it – she has the charisma. I don't think she cares (nor should she) what Washington thinks or what the media (they've done everything they could to harm her and her family) thinks about what she did. She cares about what the people think and from what I see and hear people think she is going to be just fine and still want to hear from her. She will pack stadiums whereever she goes. Who else does that in the Rep. party? I personally look forward to see what she is going to do next. I say she will ruffle some feathers and that's what everyone is afraid of.

    • be1776 says:

"Finally a politician steps down when they know they are not longer effective. How many more should do that? I say Yeah for OBAMA. HEcould be the one person to fire up the DEM party. I don't see her running for President in 2012 but I see him uniting the people and the party. HE can do it – HE has the charisma" (Changed words in all caps to prove point)

How is this any different than what the DEMS have been saying about Obama? I don't want to vote for a person for the person's sake. How about offering up a candidate that offers up a view for America not how charismatic they are?

      • gragar says:

I see your point. I don't totally agree but I hear what you're saying. I think Obama offered up a view for America and it was change – people bought into it and now we are seeing the change.

      • Zymogene says:

Ya, you make a point. I just know when you saw her speak, she was getting the people fired up about the country and I didn't see people passing out or a bunch of gaga guys mouthing "Sarah I Love You". It is different, but I can't find the words to say how.

  19. 1776time says:

  20. sacragious says:

Having not told us what she will do next I will wait for that revelation to come from her. That said I for one have become very frustrated by politicians spending years campaigning on our tax dollars. Obama spent more than half of his time (experience) as Senator campaigning instead of doing his job, but still cashed his paycheck. It appears he spent most of his time in state office building his national career on the taxpayer’s dime. This political habit holds no party loyalty and was done by both Rep and Dems.
So regardless of Palin’s chosen direction I respect her decision not to pursue her goals while pretending to be earning her public paycheck. If her choice is a new public office, then any honest person knows that road must start soon and would have to interfere with her work as Governor. So, to those who say she “quit,” I say, others should follow her example and not keep their fallback positions and stop campaigning on the taxpayer’s money. This move alone puts her a step ahead of the pack in my book!

  21. To the infantile thumber. You show pure cowardice by driving by in the thumb down mode. Try piping up your view with a little intestinal fortitude. I won’t speak for everyone here but as for me. I could care less about thumbs, they differentiate us from apes and that is pretty much it. Try some substantive discussion. Maybe you or I will learn something.

  22. Mark1957 says:

Sarah Palin showed America the qualities that we need in elected officials. She stands alone as a beacon of light to guide us forward. The leftists attack her relentlessly because she is a rarity and not the rule. What we need is a hundred Sarah Palins so that it is imposible to attack them all.

  23. Boopster says:

Glenn Beck sent out a very interesting tweet about Gov. Sarah Palin this weekend! As follows "Many write: Palin is done." U don't understand EVERYTHING is about to change. What you thought you knew, could trust or depend on is shifting."

  24. NancyNurse says:

I think Sarah Palin is sick of politics as usual. She alone knows what direction she will head. She could have been a weasel and stayed in office, playing coy games—but that isn't her. She does what she thinks is best and I hope she always will. She may have been totally turned off by the latest GOP 'scandals' and DOES want to start something altogether new. I think it is about time. Hope she succeeds! We can't get any worse, frankly…….

  25. She is one of the very few politicians out there who isn't a[n]:
    Liar
    Dirtbag
    Adulterer
    Spendthrift
    Cheat
    Intellectual Elitist

This is a great loss, she raised my expectations in how people [and that lesser species called politicians] should behave.

  26. MikeinIdaho says:

God bless Sarah and her family, whatever she decides to do! And let's hope that God blesses us with Sarah's leadership!

  27. MikeinIdaho says:

menardj, I agree. If Sarah started a new party, I would also follow and would actually get involved and work for the party in any way I could. The Dems and the Reps are toast, as I see it. We really need some leadership from the CONSERVATIVE side and I believe Sarah could be the one, if she chooses to go that route!
    Go Sarah, Go!!!

  28. heloise says:

In past elections, both local and National, I have voted my conscience over party. Long ago I saw that the Democrats use gender issues like they use race issues. Now, after watching the Republicans on Palin, where do I turn? After asking her to fight, the Republician Party never had her back. How can I believe that they will stand up for me, my daughters, my granddaughters?

  29. Sara Palin, Michelle Bachmann 2012!!!!

  30. I heard Glenn make a comment about Sarah being the type of representative we need in DC on his show not too long ago. Hmmm… where has Mr. Beck been lately?

    I AGREE!

Whether or not she seeks higher office, there is no one else who could better use the national stage to spread the 912 message and help wake up TRUE AMERICANS who still believe in the founding principles of this great Nation.

You can support her at http://www.facebook.com/sarahpalin

    sic semper tyrannis!

  31. DonnCooper says:

Just for the record, I did not vote for John McCain I voted for Sarah Palin.

  32. DonnCooper says:

I did not vote for John McCain I voted for Sarah Palin.

  33. Karithecat says:

I live in a bankrupt city partly due to the Mayor's many legal bills. I would gladly have seen him step aside to save us taxpayers millions. He would not and he incurs them still. And he is not the subject of a drain/debt blitz.
As a private citizen, Governor Palin is responsible for her own legal fees and has legal recourse to the frivilious lawsuits filed and the ability to separate herself from her office.
The fine state of Alaska can get back to the business at hand without infamy or distraction. Neither of which can be accomplished in the foreseeable future and the capable job she is doing will continue to be impeded by these legal actions and their costs. Gov. Palin did not run on this platform and this is not why she was elected. She has strong consevative belives by which she lives; it is not merely lipservice.
If one cannot understand faith, family and country as priorities, there is no explaining them.
Just imagine what our country would be today if all of our politicos adhered to such a strict code. We can bet the hill would not be pushing the non-viable corn ethanol/T. Boone Pickens plan were they themselves not personally invested. Or universal housing. Or Cap and Trade. Or name-a-scandal…

  34. Dustyluv says:

Sarah is inventing a new game like the old "whack a mole"…You take a 2×4 and hit a lib over the head with it… She will call it the Baracuda Bash….

I'm ready to play…How about you???

  35. Goo says:

The gloves are coming off. The libs are going to get the medicine they SO deserve. This is going to be fun.

    • DonnCooper says:

      I hope your right!

    • I will watch carefully. I am sure whatever decision she makes is carefully considered. My guess, she is going to show the country what a hockey mom does. We only got a little taste of it during that abysmal McCain campaign. I hope she starts with a good old fashion hip check to the liberal media. Then a nice cross check to the corruption in Washington.

    • paul52 says:

The Liberal left Democrats will try anything to keep Sarah Palin away from the masses.
They don't want her telling the truth about the administration and their agenda and
      call out the MSM.

  36. Tntsgram says:

Sarah's college degrees are in Journalism and Political Science. I am so proud of her for being the 1st politician to stand up against the MSM and the lying bloggers that have wasted millions on false charges. The libs will be speaking out the other side of their faces when she is done suing and recovering this money. She is out to level the playing field and I'm 100% behind her. These people have taken the 'freedom of speech' out of context and used it as a club to beat down anybody they do not agree with. I do not believe freedom of speech gives anybody an open license to defame another person simply because they can get by with it. Personally, I'm sick of hearing the MSM and the bloggers (what the hell kind of job is that anyhow blogger?) acting like they are somebody, collecting money on their websites for the sole purpose of defamation of character. Sarah Palin and her family have NOT done anything to deserve the continuing bashing she has endured every since being nominated in August 2008. This has gone on for far too long…stepping down allows Sarah to have the leverage to sue the socks off these miserable people. God Bless Sarah and her family and God Bless America.

  37. Cliff_brown says:

Since Sarah Palin is an elected official we are assuming what she means by higher calling is higher elected office. She knows that a higher calling might not be in elected office at all. Maybe she believes that she has more positive influence on America by helping others get elected, or by promoting certain policy issues. Maybe she has an opportunity to lead threw business. Maybe she has an opportunity to use her journalism degree. Maybe she has an opportunity to present her Christian beliefs. Maybe First Dude Todd is about to show us a talent that we missed. Maybe we are all just guessing and really have no clue what she is up to.

I do not know what she is doing but I can bet she did not just dream it up in one day. She has a more complete plan that people assume. She has other people helping her who are keeping quiet. I can bet that it will not be long before we conservatives will be cheering the barracuda, and the liberals will be lamenting their loss.

    • hopewewin says:

I love the enthusiasm but I think we have to figure out a way to educate the "common liberal" that we will all win if the democrats lose power. We'll probably never change the way the elitist, criminal, idealogs think and act……but we all win if we can get all those with their hands out…….to pick the right team to follow. Just sayin'

  38. H R says:

I think Governor Palin was wise to leave the AK Governor's office before the U.S. Attorneys office could wrongfully
prosecute her on some trumped up charges like they did with Ted Stevens. They were successful in submarining
his politicical career while violating the law in the process. Were these particular U.S. attorneys ever investigated, disciplined,…? or did they just get away with it? That is what concerns me and probably Gov. Palin. Palin in 2012!

  39. AmandaBland says:

    Romney/Palin 2012!!!

I'd like to see Palin on the ticket–but frankly, we ALL know Romney is more qualified to deal with the economy and building on our abilities to compete globally. I love Sarah–but this one is a no-brainer. Sorry to rain on your proverbial parade :)

    • be1776 says:

Like someone else said, "If you already like Sarah, this is the best move ever, if you did not care for her before, this move only confirms why." My opinion is that I like to elect people who have experience and have been tested and tried for the hardest job in the world. I said the same thing about Obama and I said the same thing about Sarah. Sure she is Spunky but she has fallen prey to huge rookie mistakes and then when things heat up she takes her ball and leaves. She should have never paraded her kids around like she did, especially bringing out the boyfriend/father of her grandbaby. That alone showed poor judgement. Yes she had a hostile work environment in Alaska, but wait until she hits D.C.

I would take Romney over her any day of the week.

      • 'Paraded around her kids'? Every politician brings their children on stage. Barack Obama had the kids talking to him via TV link at one event. Is this 'parading around her kids' phrase shorthand for saying she should have hid Trig the way that special needs children used to be hidden from sight? I rather think that not hiding him is her point.

    • Tazmin13 says:

Think twice about Romney. He crafted the MA statewide health care that is now tanking. He may be a good businessman but he does not have concern for the average taxpaying citizen.

    • 40tolife says:

Romney is a RINO. Prior to his last run for president he was PRO abortion, PRO gay, and PRO affirmative action.

During his stint as Governor his budget went from 22 billion to almost 26 billion.
He Signed tax increases each year he was in office.
He helped institute Socialized medicine in Mass.

Romney is a typical big government, tax and spend politician from Massachusetts.

He is not what this country needs

    • opinionist says:

Romney generates all the excitement of watching paint dry. His advantange is being able to spend his own money but that alone did not get him the nomination running against a weak McCain opponent. Most Republicans are smart enough to know that you don't get companies to create jobs if you make them the enemy. Obama is following the FDR model where attacking "greedy corporations" would get him reelected even with a failed economic policy.

    • JuneBug625 says:

Are you for socialize medicine? Romney is. Like Glenn pointed out previously on his shows, Romney inacted socialized medicine as Mass. Governor. Are you for cap and trade? Because the progressive that Palin ran along side with and promoted was all for cap and trade, and amnesty by the way. Sarah tried to convience us all that McCain was just the progressive, I mean conservative that would save this country from the mess we are in. But now I should trust her or Romney… I'm sure they've both seen the light (yeah, right). Oh, I forgot, we aren't supposed to bring that up…just keep voting for who ever the republicrats put up and tell you that they are conservatives.

    • Romney is more qualified on the main issues of the here and now. In 2012 will the issues change, I don't see that happening. My only worry about Mitt Romney is that I think he's too modertate of a Republican to have my vote.

  40. JackEwing says:

Sarah, you are my newest American hero. Where you lead I will follow. God bless you.

  41. AmandaBland says:

This is a non-issue for me. Frankly, it seems she is simply making a decision that is best for her family at this time–I know that is so hard for the media to believe–even Fox News is so confused. Some of us really put our families first!

What I find worthy of notice is how my local newspaper DIDN'T notice the 4th of July. Instead they ran stories of Sarah Palin and other irrelevancies. I'm not exaggerating: NOTHING RELATED TO INDEPENDENCE DAY IN MY LOCAL NEWSPAPER!!!! But of course, we really should read stories on Gov. Palin instead of how the Iraqi's are celebrating THEIR independence day–or the many local soldiers who have served their country- not even a mention of a parade or the incredible firework celebration! NOTHING! Not even a corner on the back page!

I am growing VERY tired of the media–they have rendered themselves insignificant propaganda machines worthy of disdain. This is how Hitler controlled Germany–we MUST continue to be vigilant in our information-gathering. I'm so grateful for the internet for this very reason. Keep watch, friends!

  42. goldnhorde says:

The critics of this move, the usual suspects and Keith Oberman, can ki$$ my butt, right in the middle.

She has a plan, she wants to help her state and country, she sees that she can't accomplish what she needs to from whre she is and leaves, putting the state in the hands of the best people to do the job right then.

hmmm …. i'm not surprised that the peoople being little childern about this are saying the things they say. things like: "well, with a move like this, her political career is over" … yeah …. wishful thinking guys. "She is just getting out and is in over here head" …. sure guys … keep sayign ti enough.

Unfortunately for you guys, she is a grown up. maybe when you guys start being grown ups, we will stop making you eat at the card table at thanksgiveing and stop making you wear the rubber pants to bed.

    (con't in reply)_

    • goldnhorde says:

see, The critics of this also support a senator who started OFFICIALLY campaigning for president in NOv of 2006. which means prob a year before that. which means that the senator did nothing to fulfill his duties that he was being paid …. 160K a year or so plus expenses to do. Not that he did much more than vote "present anyway", and ofcourse we know this particular condidate didn't care if anyone read any legislature going through. i mean THOSE ARE CRAZY IDEAS!!!!!

THese critics support a governor who took a national party post and pretty mcuh since then has not even mentioned the state since, thoguh he still collects a check and uses the expense accounts

  43. Rogers_Sense says:

So does this mean if Obama's kids have some mishap they should be blasted too since Obama let it happen to Sarah Palin's kids?

    • It wasn't just about her daughter having a baby out of wedlock. What the heck did Trig do to deserve the ugly comments from the left? Oh, yeah … he was born.

    • burntfrost says:

Ha, in your dreams! Did you read about the zoo that named their baby giraffe Malia? People were outraged! "That's Obama's daughter!" They had to change the name. Personally I think a little girl would be delighted to share her name with a giraffe, but apparently it was over-the-line offensive.

  44. Ransto says:

Sarah Palin got my vote, I know a smart person when I see one. This woman has been a mayor, currently (for now) a govenor she is NOT a communist or sociolist or anti-American she is USA completely. If she try's to run again she Will get my vote. Lets not forget that she went up to big oil in alaska and got alaskians a nice check every year, does anyone know the good this woman has done for her state. She does have to have very, very thick skin as to the evil that will be thrown to her and her family. God Bless This Woman and Her Family…

  45. menardj says:

I would love to see Sarah start her own party. A party that would represent us the people. I'm just as upset with the GOP right now as I am with the Libs. The GOP is not fighting for us, all they care about is whatever they can do to be re-elected. I feel like we have nobody representing us in DC anymore and it's time for that to change before we lose all of our freedom.

    • Me too. Too many republicans in Washington just standing by and keeping quiet in order to get their fair share of the all the extra money that's being printed up to fund these phony stimulus bills.

    • Me too. Too many republicans in Washington just standing by and keeping quiet in order to get their share of the all the extra money that's being printed up to fund these phony stimulus bills.

    • Separate parties are a losing proposition. The two parties are too entrenched and it takes a very big effort to even get on the ballot and set up the party mechanisms. If you have the strength to win elections, then you have the strength to win control of the Republican party. Contrariwise, if you don't have the strength to win Republican primaries, you don't have the strength to win general elections.

  46. poorboy says:

Don't forget they will be trying to trash her in your hearts and minds but I did notice her lawyer said they would now be able to file suit against those that deliberately lie about her. Go get em Sarah.

  47. poorboy says:

Sarah Palin is a person that needs to be rowing the boat not sitting back watching others row in a circle because only a few are rowing. This boat that we are in right now needs more of us rowing to get out of this vicous circle of fiscal tragedy and moral decline. Sarah has given me hope and I would not have dreamed that a woman in this era of decline would have been the one to step up first but she has and I'm going to back her as far as she wants to take it. Should she run for the bigger office then I will donate, volunteer and vote for Sarah Palin. I hope to find at least 400 more like her to send to Capital hill to take back what has been stolen from Americans. God Bless You and your beautiful family Sarah Palin.

    • seaheather says:

Well said. I'm also on board with Sarah, wherever she chooses to go. I've donated to her Defense Fund. It doesn't seem fair that she should be $500,000 in debt because her political enemies want to keep her on the ropes with frivolous ethics charges they knew were bogus before filing.

      GO SARAH!

  48. Nomarxism says:

I truly hope she will be back soon in a large national role. Those dried up old feminists on the left are terrified of her and her moral clarity. Best of luck to her.

For those unsure of Sarah's motivation…a person involved in an abusive relationship, when do they leave…after the first hit, the second, the twentieth, the one hundreth? The Jews who left Germany before Hitler's onslaught, were they quitters or discerners of the world stage? Those people who relocated to a different state before katrina hit…were they quitters for leaving, or discerners of a levee system doomed to fail? Thos of us who have left both parties to become Independents, are we quitters, or have we discerned that there is little difference between both, and desire plain speak, less government intervention, shoring up of our borders, adherence to the rule of law, and upholding our beloved Constitution. Sarah's potential was illustrated by her speech at the Convention. She needs the time to work outside the Governor's office for the people, not tied down battling frivolous lawsuits. This lady knows exactly what she is doing!

    • seaheather says:

I totally agree! Her political enemies are in a tizzy right now. They don't know how to deal with her announcement, because now she's free to travel the country, speaking where she will, without being open to their constant hounding about her not doing her job in Alaska. Now all they can say is "quitter," but when we see her speaking out everywhere, it will become evident that she's doing what she said she was going to do.

I'm listening to Joe Pags on Glenn Beck right now, and he seems down on Sarah resigning. He's not taking into account the way she was in effect being held under "house arrest" by the leftists and the MSM. What was she to do if she wanted a political future? Alaska may be large in size, but it's small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. She HAD to be able to get out of Alaska to articulate her message. She's no free to do that, and I applaud her for it. It was a political gamble, but I think not doing it was going to guarantee that she was muzzled until her term was up. We need her and her COMMON SENSE now!! Thank you Sarah! I love you and what you stand for!

The media dolts are all trying to figure on what she is going to do.She is Sarah. What ever she does, we should be ready to support her. Soros is already with all his Dolts(MSMBC,ABC, NYTimes, and CBS), doing his bidding! Lets explore forming an online grassroots campaign. We should form The Founders Party or just get with The Constitution Party? Your thoughts on this matter????

  52. floridaborn says:

I would love to see Sarah Palin as a conservative leader. I only hope she ditches the Republican party and does

  56. roxym says:

I respect her tenacity. I think she's going to go out there and fight every which way for this country and for conservative causes. If you think about it, no other coservative "politicians" are out there doing it. They're too worried about their own political hides. Our only supporters are the talk radio people. I wish I was able to cause enough grief for Rendell, to make him want to get out of office…maybe that should be our next move…make politicians so miserable it's not worth it to them anymore. Of course, we don't have the biasd, vicious media on our side to do so….

  57. augrad1996 says:

Would it not be great if she started a new party of conservatism and common sense? Go Palin Go!!!!

  58. SecretPolice says:

Not certain what the game plan is but what ever she is doing, I'll be in her corner, no doubt about it.

  59. seaheather says:

I believe Sarah will be spending her time supporting Conservative causes, while getting herself ready for the 2012 election. This will be a time of scoping out the situation, and doing some soul-searching as to whether or not she wants to continue to bear the onslaught from the vicious MSM while pursuing her political ambitions. I believe Sarah is exactly what America needs at this critical time. Whether she chooses to run herself, or merely to offer her "star power" to other Conservative candidates, is something only she can decide. But whatever she does, she has my support. She has shown great courage and grace under relentless pressure. She's won my unwavering respect.

I hope all the Sarah supporters here are members of http://www.teamsarah.org. That's a great place to go to discuss "all things Sarah." It would be a great rallying point for all of us who support Sarah. There were 69,799 members when I checked this morning. It would be great to boost that number into the 100s of thousands. Let's show our support of Sarah by banding together under the Team Sarah banner!

Sarah will follow in the footsteps of Joe the Plumber and milk the uninformed masses for as much money and adulation as she can.

Sorry, but real Americans will not support Cut and Run Sarah for anything, not even dog catcher.

      • menardj says:

Your reply is ignorant. I would agree with you about her milking the uninformed if she was a liberal. I suspect you are because you sure sound like you have been watching a liitle to much of msnbc and the like.
You obviously know nothing about the woman, do some research instead of taking all the lib media at their words.
As for Americans not supporting her, you are dead wrong. She's what this country need, a real American with real American values.

  61. SPOT_OF_TEA says:

I see more talking heads on Fox this morning calling Sarah a quitter for abandoning her constituents of Alaska…..No one called Hillary or Obama quitters when they abandoned the people of NY and Illinois…..in case these morons didnt notice, there is a grassroots conservative movement taking hold and they are begging for someone to lead them….the choice is obvious.

    • Morgue says:

It's a little different when it's a Governor. If a Senator or Congressman takes a year off to campaign, it's not as big of a deal because each state has another Senator, and at least two other Congressman. However, the Governor is the Executive head of the State.

It would be like Obama going on a year-long campaign to apologize to the world while leaving all executive decisions to Biden.

      • SPOT_OF_TEA says:

give your head a shake dude…….Hillary and Obama took tax payer money receiving senator wages while they were out on the campaign trail…….many governors quit early to make a run for President long before their term is up……If Sarah is planning such a run for president she did the right thing by resigning….Sarah's problem is she is getting trashed not by Alaskans but by the elites on both sides of the aisle on a national scale…..the country club republicans are just as bad if not worse than the far left kooks…….but if the people line up behind sarah, whos gonna stop her.

      • SPOT_OF_TEA says:

If Obama would resign and leave all executive decisions to Biden as you suggest….that would be a step in the right direction.

      • Isn't BH0 doing that now by constantly campaigning? He proposes spending enough to put the entire world in debt without any way of paying it back. I'll take honesty over BS everytime.

    • JAC60 says:

I think she was caught between a rock and a hard place. She made a decision that benefits Alaska and the taxpayers. She has moral values that won't allow her to take tax money for a job she isn't able to give her all to because of fighting the baseless ethics complaints. I think she also sees the direction this country is headed and thinks she can make a difference outside of the constraints of the governor's office.

She took a huge risk, if she does want to run for president, but she never actually said that's her goal. She stated plainly where her priorities lie – with her family, her faith, and her state. Why does that need analyzing?

      • That was her parting message, exactly. I don't understand all of this trying to read-between-the-lines and theorizing.

      • Zymogene says:

That's exactly how I took it as well. Sometimes there just isn't anything to read into something. I mean does anyone think Blago could have been an effective Governor (if he wasn't tossed out) with his fiasco going on, or that Governor in SC right now? I'm more angry about those who take the pay and don't do the job because they're using it to get somewhere else…..like Obama and Hilary did. I don't think too many are used to someone who can set priorities and have principles they actually live by. I don't know what her plans are, but it is true people can sometimes get more involved and accomplish alot more without elected positions and their constraints in the way.

    • menardj says:

I don't know what's up with Fox when it comes to Sarah Palin, fair and balance my ars. I was watching Fox Sunday morning and had the displeasure of hearing Liz Trotta (aka Palin number 1 basher) call Sarah "Wacky, Crazy, Undereducated and inarticulate". And they call her a fox news contributor….. I would expect to see something like that if I was watching a liberal media, very disappointing coming from Fox.

      • Goo says:

Fox is only as balanced as they want to be. The fact of the matter is that no one in the media has given her a fair shake, Left or Right Wing. The independents see her for what she is, and that is why she could very well be their new leader, if she would accept. The parties are becoming a liability.

    • dicknann says:

the way I see it, the people that are calling her quitter and scared to death of her. They know she can win

      • burntfrost says:

They're scared because they no longer have her in the "box" to which she was confined when she was beholden to the people of Alaska. She will soon have the right to more privacy, and more leeway to go after those who threaten and harass her.

  62. Barb66 says:

I decided to look at the huffington post. They are as bad as advertised. Those libs are really afraid of her. I thought boy I don't know how those bloggers look themselves in the mirror. Sarah was their punching bag this weekend. I hope Sarah finds out what she really wants to do with her life. She will excell in anything she wants to do. Hopefully she will continue to work with the people both old and young and all in between. She would be a great spokes person for anyone. GOOD LUCK SARAH!!

  63. Jerseygal says:

We will see what her agenda is, 'post governor.' Whatever it is, it will center around values, energy independence, and fiscal responsibility. And she can now go after the left 'unfiltered.' She is a leader and a doer. I expect that she will get things done for the GOP and our country, and be a leading arm of the party as well.

    • JackEwing says:

So right and said very well. We are desperate for a leader. Now we have one. Get behind her and support her. I have one reservation with your statements. The Grand Old Party is still by far the best of the two parties, but I am not supporting them until I see some real signs that they support me again. They have let me down too many times.
Sarah, if you are following this site, look at the support for you. I say without reservation, I will follow and support you, because I know you want the best for our country.

  64. kenoshax says:

hey liberal media, i got one word for ya……SARAHCUDA….you pinheads are falling right into her trap. it's not gonna end well for you……you think you have her on the ropes…..watch out for the knock out punch….i believe it will be spectacular

  65. TJinVa says:

Well, its about time a politician that is going to run for higher office steps down from their current position. How can one really do those two things at once? No one can be a true Governor while running for President, it sells the people of their state short. In Va we have Gov. Kaine as our Gov. also at the same time being DNC chairman. That's bull, the people(not me) of Va voted him to serve as Gov. FULLTIME, not whenever he had a free minute. Our state went from in the black to a big defecit on his watch.
Anyway, back to Sarah, if you look back to the 08 campaign, and you all should, she was by far the most correct about ALL the key issues than the other three dolts-ie McCain, Obama, and Biden. Look at who said what, who claimed what etc. she was far and away the one that had things right. And that is just one more reason why she is so feared by the media, the Dems, and "old guard" Repubs. She scares the crap out of them.

    • fande3rls says:

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS Tim Kaine Hidin running around on VA tax payers dime then says no you will not get my travel papers . THIS man was a mistake from day one

  67. PeteWeaver says:

Sarah represents something the media, conservative or liberal, doesn't understand and don't know what to do about, the TRUTH. I take her at her word, for she has never been caught in a lie, like far too many other political types. She will be a force to be reckoned with in whatever she decides to do because she is the rarest of all things in politics, AUTHENTIC.

    • You nailed it Pete!

The political pundits, as you said – both conservative and liberal, are beside themselves trying to comprehend what her ulterior motives could possibly be… THERE AREN'T ANY YOU BONEHEADS!

What she said is what she means! She means exactly what she said!

      GO SARAH!

    • DonnCooper says:

      Yes indeed AUTHENTIC and TRUTH.

    • DonnCooper says:

That's why the liberals will not leave her and her family alone They are VERY afraid of her politically.

  68. OldMarine says:

I have already stated this, and I'll sate it again. A good leader will always do what's right for those that "follow". Face it, Gov. Palin walked away from "power" because she could not fully devote the time needed by the people of Alaska, after all she had to defend against the constant "complaints" How many government officials remained in power while under investigations, and had to take time to defend themselves, not do their jobs, but yet draw a paycheck from the American people. Gov. Palin didnot want to draw a paycheck and not be able to do the job she was elected to do. She is showing leadership, she doing whats good for the many, not what's good for the one or the few.

    • we need more souls like hers in gvnt! im proud we still have leaders who can show some morals in regards to the greater good!! her speech announcing her resignation was one of THE MOST patriotic and beautiful speeches ive ever heard!! very eloquant, intelligent, and inspiring! i loved how she reminded us to always remember to move/look "northward"… for those who read between the lines- it was very apparent that she stepped ASIDE (not down!) for the greater good of the country!

Weel said, OldMarine. She put the people of Alaska ahead of her 'position' as Governor. The talking heads can say what they want, but she is not and never will be a 'beltway insider.' She is a throwback to our founding fathers, and this will likely become obvious in the near future.

    • Richard (FL) says:

The biggest problem in this regard is that you have a multitude of people who are not capable of recognizing leadership and sacrifice. 'Sheeple' with blinders on can't see beyond the butt in front of them. You have to stand up and look at the horizon to see that, sheeple can't so that.
I believe there are some pundits who misread an honest effort for a tactical mistake.

    • You're exactly right. That's what's making those in opposition to her inclusive, American message so nervous about where she is headed. People throughout the country are beginning to ask themselves (again) this very important question…

Is the power who is jealous of our prosperity, a proper power to govern us? Thomas Paine

Sarah is demonstrating fiscal restraint and leadership through her actions and that's what we need! We need leaders who are willing to lead by action, not just words or party affiliations! We know we've been fooled too many times! And all those currently in office better start taking some notes!

    • LesIsmore says:

Sarah Palin proved herself to be a quitter. Pure and simple. She faces a 1.65 billion dollar deficit so she would rather walk away than have that stain her "record".

A true leader works through hard times and doesnt cut and run when the going gets tough.

Cut and run Sarah. I hope Republicans nominate you and Joe the Plumber for something, anything.

    • Morgue says:

Here's the problem, if all it takes for a good leader to step down is for the left to launch an assault of lawsuits, then what hope do we have? The left is powered by trial lawyers and rich billionaires like George Soros.

What's going to happen when we finally get a decent President, and they step down because of the left's relentless assault of frivolous lawsuits?

I respect Sarah's desire to save her state money during a recession, and I hope the LT Gov can fill her shoes. However, I'm worried about the signal this sends to Soros, the ACLU, and their ilk. Now they will launch a volley of lawsuits at any Conservative candidates they think pose a threat.

The point that the media pounded into my head over and over through the last few days was "ETHICS CHARGES". They never elaborated though, I'm sure they never would have. Just like there were never headlines to cancel out the lies in bold that were later found false. I was standing in line with my sister waiting to buy some sodas and she said "Did you hear your girlfriend stepped down?" I replied that she had greater things in mind. I know my sister has no reason to dislike her other than what she's been told to think. A friend swears that he saw her say the Alaska from my house line even after I sent him an email clearing it all up for him. There's a lot of hate out there towards her, when the hatred is asked why it is hate it really has no idea. It's not just her but conservatism or traditional values in general. American Culture. It's what we are up against, I think she stepped down to take it on.

    I'm there with her.

    • DallasOrf says:

If anyone really listened to what Sarah said, she said all the frivolous complaints have cost the Alaskan tax payers 2 million dollars to investigate and defend, she is doing this because she loves her tax payers and does not want to see their money wasted. It has nothing to do with not being able to take the heat. It is an honorable move on her part!

Sarah Palin supported the Republican policies for the last eight years.

Her party spent billions on the war in Iraq a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 while ignoring Afghanistan. Her party left us with and economic meltdown, budget deficits and two wars. Now she is cutting and running unwilling to work to find solutions the problems she helped create.

She is running away from her responsibilities as governor while her state is facing a 1.65 billion dollar budget short fall! This tells you everything you need to know about Sarah Palin! When things get tough she simply walks away from her duties!

    From the Anchorage Daily News
Alaska budget hole is $1.65 billion

JUNEAU — The state is facing a budget shortfall approaching $1.65 billion this year, the Palin administration said Tuesday. It's a far bigger problem than state officials predicted two months ago in their last forecast.

    • JTunink says:

And meanwhile, your party waste Trillions of dollars on Pork barrels and Bailouts that the People did not ask for. The policy of personal destruction as well as the Stealing of our rights and our children's future has gone on long enough. Alaska's budget is $1.65 billion, while the Fed is over $2 Trillion, so who's more in the dark! Sarah leaves the office after the unwarranted attacks by the press while the "Messiah" parties and blows taxpayer money on false issues like "Global Climate Change".

Did the RINO Powell fail in his attempt to get the news cycle to focus on BH0, and now you come out with Left talking points. Look at the main fact, Gov. Palin has been under attack from the left since last year, everytime she turned around, she had to defend herself, it was taking time and effort away from the job she was elected to do, so like any good person, it was choice, devote 50% of my day to my job, 50 to defending myself or Allow someone, also elected who can spend a 100% doing whats right for the state, frankly, that's called leadership, something the left does know anything about. The good of the many, outweigh the good of the few or the one.

I do agree that some/many Repubs lost their way. Too bad and those implicated should be voted out. 76. Sarah Palin did not sound like someone quitting politics to spend more time with their family. She sounded like someone moving in a new direction. Everyone is wondering what that is because they are missing the key Palin uniqueness. She is the only Republican who can actually make a significant difference if she goes out and campaigns for other Republicans. Others can help a little, but she can pull thousands. Ask Saxby Chambliss and he had them all down there. Who was the star?

If Governor Palin served out her term, she would be pretty much unable to significantly participate in the midterm battle that is brewing. This is critical for the Republican party which needs to regain focus and take back at least some of the house. If Palin can make a difference and lead the party to victory, then she clearly becomes the leader for 2012. She can pull 20,000 to a Frontier Day parade in Auburn, Mitt Romney with Jeb Bush as a backup singer can draw dozens to a pizza parlor with free pizza. This is the moment she can make a difference.

    • Excellent post William!

I think that, as she as much declared, IS the reason for stepping down. To promote founding principle candidates for the upcoming midterms.

Not so much in terms of the rebuilding the Republican party, per se, but it is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL that common sense representatives are put into office in the next election to put the brakes on BH0's insane policies and the out of control congressional spending for the SAKE OF THE REPUBLIC!

If she can help do that, THEN we can talk about 2012. But first things first! We need to STOP being organized into a community dependent on the State!

      GO SARAH!!

      sic semper tyrannis!!!

I wish Ms. Palin success in whatever she does. She has never gotten a fair shake from the media. I would love it if she has higher political aspirations, but if she doesn't, understand that, also. Sara has taken a huge gamble by stepping down and I hope it pays off for her.

  80. Maria2 says:

I think is to soon to understand why Sarah made this announcement. My first impression is that she did this for her family first and for the Alaskans also. The media and the group of interest in DC both the DNC and the GOP will not live her alone making so much damage to her family and at the same time waiting time and money from the Alaskan's tax payers. I'm hope her the best …. if she stays in politics I will support her and If she decide to stay away and be with her family I will admired her more! out of all the politicians I feel she is real. She is like every one of us a woman with a family with good things and bad, with a husband who loves her and support her and a working woman who does the best that she can and on top of that she is a beautiful looking woman. SHE IS A REAL WOMAN to me.

  81. Bravo!!! Well said!!

  82. poorboy says:

They will try to trash her out of office but we know she is honest and for the people. Your remarks were true and hit home and that is what she needs right now. We have to stand up for what we see is a light at the end of the tunnel. I would have never believed that a woman would have stood up first but I'm ready to help her take America back.

  83. seaheather says:

That guy is a troll. Click on his name and go to his profile page. His only purpose on here is to ruffle feathers. If we ignore, rather than respond to these dorks, they'll eventually go away. Trolls love attention. Simply deny them the attention and they'll soon move on to a place where they can cause trouble. Rather than replying to them, it's better to swamp them by remaining positive and not taking their bait. Their presence only reinforces the panic that the left is feeling over the threat Sarah poses to their agenda.

Sarah is the perfect 912 candidate. She's attractive, charismatic, articulate, and lives the values she espouses. The left can't stand that. Because they have nothing legitimate to attack, they make it personal, and attempt to smear her and her family, and ridicule them. It's time for decent Americans of all political stripes to say enough is enough of these gutter snipes. There is no place in decent society for people who act this way. You'd think we could have a debate on issues, but if we do I suppose the far-left knows they'll lose every time. They have to do their best to drag decent people though their own swill, and hope that ignorant people won't know the difference between their drivel and reality.

So, please, don't dignify their comments with a response. We can be open to an honest debate on the issues, but we shouldn't waste our time responding to those who have nothing of value to add to the conversation.

  84. beckgether says:

They can't. He has a guest coming for TEA. Zelaya will be waiting for him! Darn, and the tea party is over. Such timing.

  85. They can keep him forever.

  86. menardj says:

You're right, I just looked at his profile and now I wish I didn't waste my time replying to him.

  87. gsteinbacher says:

clicked on that website you showed for Palin support it says it no longer exists????

  88. She would take her time in the bin with dignity as well.

  89. TOP_GUN says:

Yes that is correct, BHO spent 3 of the 4 years as Senator campaigning for President on the Tax payers money.

  90. TearEmUp says:

Speaking as a resident of Illinois, BHO did not quit the senate. He, instead, did not represent his constituency while he campaigned for the Oval office. Much like he did not represent his constituency while serving in the Illinois State Senate, because he campaigned for the U.S. Senate. So, not once but twice Barak Obama did not represent the people who elected him into office. It is no surprise to us here in Illinois that he is now ignoring those who elected him into office while he pushes through some other agenda. He has done it before.

I would rather have someone like Sarah Palin. She knew she could not give her job, and the state that is relying on her, the full attention it DESERVES. So, she is stepping aside. Personally, I think it is to make sure no one has any ammunition to use against her in the next election cycle. That way she can make a run for a federal office of some sort. We all saw how the Democratic (nice oxymoron there BTW) Party has done nothing but attack this public servant with the fervor of Attila The Hun leading a mongol horde…..

  91. Goo says:

He never DID his FRAKKING job! You are so blind, and so bloody ignorant to support people that are bankrupting this NATION. Keep drinking the Kool-aid. That red, syrupy concoction will soothe your sorrows as the nation goes further and further into debt. People like you who support this incompetent are the reason we are in the postition we are in as a country. Wake up.

  92. be1776 says:

Seriously, this proves my point. I never said that she should have hid her kids but she should not be whining over the fact that mean people said mean things about her family when SHE put them out there. For goodness sakes she had one daughter dancing around while she was giving her speech and another one screaming in the background. People have said mean things about Obama's kids as well (obviously not as much but they do). I do like the fact that she lives her Prolife beliefs but that alone does not make her Presidential material. I know families with several special needs that made that choice each time. Do they deserve to be president? Like I said before I already formed an opinion about her long ago and this move just confirmed it. My gut just says something is off and as an American that is my right to say so.

  93. Goo says:

More wisdom from the Peanut Gallery, I see.

  94. Jerseygal says:

I agree, topshot, I agree. No stale rhetoric from her, that's for sure!
