That's all it was…..plus China and Russia said for us not to get excited about the missile launches, so how serious could the launches have been?? Pretty expensive fireworks display, though.

I don't consider N.Korea shooting off 7 missiles on July 4th a poke in the eye for the U.S. Who writes that BS call it what it is…N.Korea needs to have their missiles shot off their mark before they can be launched. Our President could give a damn what N.Korea is doing…he wants someone else to handle N.Korea because he is far too busy taking all the money and rights away from the Citizen's of the United States to care about little 'ol N. Korea. He's got bigger fish to fry! Apparently taking our money and protecting dictators is all that is on the mind of Obama.

I am kind of glad that Obama is being silent on Korea. It has done no good to threaten him. And we come off sounding like a pathetic broken record. Actions can and do speak way louder than words. Play your cards close to the vest and keep an eye on him. but steer clear of a half way response. Let them shoot off their rockets. But be firm if one American gets hurt or killed by any of this……

Being quiet can be MORE firm than shooting off one's mouth in vanity and desperation. Again, we don't need to telegraph our intentions to the rest of the world. As TR said, walk softly but carry a big stick. And be willing to use that stick without a lot of speech making and empty negotiations. I think that would be the best way to catch NK off guard and also to plant seeds of doubt in the minds of the NK military leaders.

As far as I am concerned, Biden has only said two intelligent things; 1. once when they couldn't get a teleprompter working, Biden made a statement that Obama wouldn't be able to speak and 2. During the elections, Biden stated that Obama would be tested. Biden was right. Obama was tested and failed, in my opinion as a coward. He has and will continue to make our country appear weak. Kim Jong II thinks like a child and will continue to fire missles, because he knows that he can, with no consequences for his actions. I say, if Kim Jong II fires a long range missle towards Hawaii, that's enough provocation towards the US. Let's go blast the hell the hell out of them. I agree with "old marine". Korea is a distraction and that is all. We now have a cap and trade passed by an ignorant, blood sucking congress who is more interested in itself than in the country it was elected to represent. I think Obama shrugs off Korea's missle display for the 4th because it helps him and his socialist longings and leanings. The press jumps on the Palin resignation too giving the pony and dog show host Maureen Odoud or whatever the bimbos name is to throw more attention away from the disaster of cap and trade. North Korea will do anything to stay in the news so they can think of themselves important. The more we wail about their piddly little missiles the more they will shoot off. Who are they going to hit? China will only allow them to play only so far. If they threaten Japan to much they will go nuclear for self protection. China knows the Japs have the technology to build nukes anytime they want to. The Chinese don't want the Japs to have the bomb so they will reel in the North Koreans to keep that from happening. South Korea can take care of themselves if the North starts some s**t and the North knows it. The only worry is if North Korea sells some nukes to some nut case who hate America. That list is long and diverse, everybody hates America. Who gives a sh*t, that will never change unless BO and his henchmen succeed in turning us into a third world country. ( they are working day and night to do just that ) All we need to do is stop North Korean ships from delivering their cargo and they are helpless. Ya I know they will say that that is a act of war. My opinion, to wipe out his birth certificate showing that he was born in a foreign country, and not Hawaii.

Every terrorist in the world must feel emboldened due to Obi's disregard of what's going on in Korea. If Obi won't respond when missiles are being launched all around Japan, we are all going to see much more aggression from ALL nations that were timid during Bush's terms. There's no way ANYONE can say the US isn't in more danger since Obi "Bankrupt America" took the reins. And aren't we supposed to have the capacity to immediately launch against someone if they fire on us or our allies? Do you think Obi will just ignore missiles till one explodes in our faces or in the faces of one of our allies?
Japan is who needs to respond, not us. They are not a helpless, pathetic war-torn nation anymore. They can stand on their own two feet and should. A few calculated action by Japan and I think Kim Jong Il might very well be in the same boat as Ahmadinjead in a sinking regime and get taken out by his own people.
But we need to show backing/support for Japan or any country that opposes NK. If we don't we will loose more and more alies along the way leaving us as a sitting duck nation. Granted we can defend ourselves but not against everyone.

NK does not care about UN Resolutions. A UN Resolution packs the same punch as Obama saying, "Please don't fire your missiles." Thanks, old friend, for your years of service to America. One only wonders what the Obama administration is 'cookin' up this weekend, as they masterfully continue to use crisis (both great and small) to mask their aggressive, and suppressive, agenda.

If I may add something, l et us remember that that we must never let what was fought for be taken from us. Either by a foreign power, of especially by an enemy from with. BHO, and his ilk are the greatest enemy we have faced. They are right here amongst us. he and the Dems are able to shove anything they like down our throat. A least they are trying really hard. Remember laws can and have been removed whatever has or is being done can be changed by voting the right people into office next time. Let us not take for granted the freedoms we now have because slowly the are being systematically taken from us. Every freedom we let go the way of the dinosaur, dishonors what men and women in uniform died for.

it seems that our govt (every administration) ignores problems til they are totally out of hand and then all they can think of to do is THROW MONEY AT IT!! You wait and see, before you know it we'll either be dodging missiles OR sending money!!!

We are living in an upside down world TaxiDude!!! Nothing makes sense anymore! We use to be able to know that people followed the principle rules of right and wrong, but someone changed the rules while most of us were asleep!! It time for a realignment!!!
But that is the glitch. They have shown no great desire to defend against N.K. and prefer us to do the heavy lifting. Their own people demonstrate repeatedly wanting the US out of NK and SK for that matter.
Well maybe if we just tell them to do the work but if they need us that we got there back.
Of course! I wouldn't just leave Japan to fend off a wolf by themselves, but the rest of Asia needs to ask our help and not just count on it without ever considering what is good for us, too. Obama will never fire a shot—he will be like Clinton, studying and hesitating and hoping it will just go away if he smiles at the cameras long enough. His personal charm is not going to win these folks over. They think he's an idiot and are showing him their continued contempt.
Neville Chamberlain went down this road with Hitler, not that long ago, in the grand scheme of time!!
Japan has a long and storied history, a few small islands to protect an entire race of people, cut them loose, as you said, and let them take care of business!! I believe the Warrior Spirit would take over and the proud heritage of about 2000 years would kick in!! They are a proud people, with nowhere else to go!!
I agree that it's hard to be feared when POTUS almost immediately after being sworn into office, goes on a world tour and appolgizes for our very existence and POTUS begs them to like us and be our friend. We didn't get to be a superpower by bending over backwards but by saying mess with us and pay. Now they know the can mess with us and laugh while we say, oh that's OK, we can still get along and be friends.
And I agree as well that Japan could be our strong arm. But then, since they are not one of our "past" enemies, we shall treat them as we do all our other past friends (Isreal, Honduras, Georgia and all the others), throw them under the bus. We now want to be new friends with Castro, Chevez, Iran's dictators, Hamas and that list goes on as well. So unfortunately I don't see us working with Japan to shake things up.
I tend to agree. No value in empty threats. However, there needs to be an unspoken line that, once crossed results in serious consequences.
Are you kidding me! Obama is not going to do a thing or say a thing! Have you not all noticed Obama supports the extreme left. He can't wait to see all of us in destitution. That is his plan. It makes me sick to see what you all a writing. Obama has a master plan. That plan is to destroy the United States of America. Our House and Senator are allowing him to do it. There are no checks and balances. As far as I'm concerned, everything he (Obama) is doing is unconstitutional. As far as I understand it, all the Czars are unconstitutional. Where is our Congressman and Senators? They are the checks and balances and they DO NOTHING! What does that tell ya. Come on people! Like Glenn Beck said, it's time to take to the streets so we can be heard! OUR REPRESENTATIVES are doing nothing. Do you hear them? No I hear complete SILENCE. What's up with that?!!!!
In addition, there are no mass mailings from our representatives and senators regarding what is going on in this Country. But, when it is time for re-election, your mail box is full of campaign propaganda. Where are they now? Why are they so silent. I have written them 2 months ago. No one single response! Makes me sick! What are they doing? Obviously they're not reading the bills and voting on them. Why can't they at least answer our letters and emails?
moesite, Nope, they get another nasty letter from the U.N., then China keeps ignoring the situation and Japan and South Korea are left to defend their selves, of course this is just my opinion.
