  1. We must pay attention to how this whole "health care reform" is playing out. Obama's "choice" is nothing but an illusion; both House and Senate are rigging it so you will be forced by buy health insurance or be fined. But if you are an employer you must provide health care or be fined a whole lot less. They are counting on people wanting something for nothing but how will we pay for it? There is talk of taxing ALL insurance policies (yes, health, home, auto, etc.) and taxing employer-provided health care benefits. And by cutting Medicare and Medicaid.

And all that's just the tip of the iceberg. A secondary but very real motivation to Obama's fascist aims is pretty darned frightening:

The people we have running the country have the radical beliefs of the 60's. Remember 1.6 children per household, our planet is overcrowded, we'll all starve or be polluted to death? Two world leaders have both expressed within the last 6 months that we "have too many people". One was Broom Hillary Clinton, the other, if memory serves me, was Gordon Brown. Government health care may be more about letting nature " take it's course" thereby clipping some years off of life expectancy. This certainly would reduce some of the strain on the senior programs and assure the elites that more resources would remain for them as their taxpayer paid benefits would maintain their well being well into old age. All the better to make life miserable for the peons under them

This is precisely what I have been saying about the Canadian system since I worked as a Project Manager for a company with US and Canadian offices. The Canadians ALL to a man (and woman) complained about their system and how family and/or friends had died from waiting for what in the US would be pretty basic services.

Tell your representatives to vote NO on Obama-care.

It is good to see we now have the Jerry Springer Presidency. Much like during the campaign he fills the stage with sob stories and never says anything about a real solution. To me this is solid proof he is not concerned about fixing the problem only increasing the scope and power of the government.
God help us. I keep reminding myself over and over God is in control, but I look out on Sodom and Gomorrah. I wonder how was the world the years before the floods.

  7. DMN says:

Not only do they not want to tell us what the illegal aliens are costing us in medical costs, they don't even want to admit that our borders are STILL open so that lots more can jump the border for their fair share of medical care. This whole health care debate is a CROCK since our government won't even close the borders!

    • Jared says:

Exactly!!!!! We will never fix the problem until we fix the problems that are causing the problem if you know what I mean.

      • DMN says:

The real goal of our politicians is to dilute the American vote so they can do whatever they want that is AGAINST the founding principles of the US Constitution. If our borders aren't immediately closed, secured, and guarded with WEAPONS, nothing should be done in our country that will benefit illegal aliens.

  8. Jared says:

I wish someone on the news, in the Senate, or in the House would come out with some facts about how much we would save in Healthcare as a country if illegal immigration was addressed and eliminated. I have a feeling that if we did that on top of reducing frivulous lawsuits on doctors we would be looking at hundreds of billions of dollars of healthcare savings. If we want to actually fix healthcare correctly we need to stop putting the cart before the horse and actually break down the costs we unjustly endure first. Just that in itself might make healthcare affordable. Until we do that any plan that is put forward will include costs that we will unfairly pay.

  9. Jared says:

I think what Obama wants to do here is create a division among Americans in yet another setting. The people that cannot afford the more expensive private healthcare will be forced into this public plan and the rich will still get the treatment they are used to. Obama himself would not admit to settling with a public option when it comes to the wellness of his own family. This will only create more disdain in the country between the classes, a.k.a. more fuel the far left have on hand to throw on the fire driving us apart as Americans. Wal-Mart standing up for mandated employer provided healthcare is only an attempt to capture what little marketshare remains from the "Mom and Pop" shops in this country as it would surely push them over the edge they are already teetering on. I just hope the people in this country as a whole have the foresight to see that what the government giveth the government can also taketh away. We can definitely do things to lower healthcare costs in our country but asking the government to do it is counterproductive. We need to spread the word in our own communities that a government run option has been tried and give examples of how it fails the people in all cases.

    • JansKid says:

      Agreed.

Democrats keep demanding that the Republicans come up with an alternative.

We already HAVE the best health care system in the world!!!

The O-Team is going to make health care cheaper by SPENDING another 1-3 TRILLION????

I guess simply putting a few simple reforms *cough* tort *cough on the existing system just isn't sexy enough for a Presidential legacy.

They don't like it because it's easy and would WORK.

But it won't provide them with all kinds of reasons to tax the snot out of America.

      • Jared says:

        JansKid,
You are exactly right. Someone close to Obama really needs to tell him that while some legacies are good many are bad as well and that he should really look into the past and present to see what his legacy will be in the future if this passes. Most likely it will be the latter of the two.
Then again that may not matter to him if he can single handedly pass legislation that taxes more snot out of Americans than any other president in history.

  10. DMN says:

  13. gsteinbacher says:

C-Marie brought up a good point…. If obama care goes thorough how will the people that come from other countries pay for our health care, will they have to pay the government so they can get there cut or will they pay it directly to the doctors at a higher then normal, normal, or less the normal rate. Or will they be excluded from the use of our system for other then emergencies will they are on our soil

This is one thing that is good about the system we have know, people from other countries can pay to use our system and get good solid treatment. Capitolism it works leave it alone

  14. beenfield says:

How about the concept of paying into a system and then when you need it having someone decide if you are worthy? How about if you are considered too old, too sick, too overweight, too unnecessary ,not nutritionally sound, don't exercise enough, bad health habits.? Whatever excuse they can find to give the health care you paid for to someone else. If you don't like your doctor, too bad, if you need immediate care, too bad, if you need tests, too bad, get a job as a senator or congressman, you've got a life time of FREE HEALTH CARE! Remember the same people in charge of your health care are in charge of SS, the post office, medicaid, medicare, etc. God help us!

  15. DMN says:

Yeah, but with our luck they'll perform the wrong operation on us! Can you imagine the politicians who can't even handle the post office or the VA deciding what medical treatments we will get??? Insanity!! I guess that would be a new way for Democrats to CUT the number of Republican voters in a given area. Sure beats having to legalize all the illegal aliens and move in all the terrorists from around the world, I guess.

  16. OldMarine says:

Damn good points (got my own analogy about the toilet), but that isn't BH0 plan. His plan is complete destruction of the American way of life, where certain groups control everything, and everyone else is dependent on the government and the leader, thus in a round about way, establishing a dictatorship. There is all ready another move to repeal the 22nd amendment. Does this sound familar? Hint….Hondouras.

  17. C_Marie says:

I think of the little children who come here to get help because they live in countries that do not have the hospitals and services we have. I also think of American Doctors Across Borders or private Doctors who donate their time and money to ameliorate the needs of those in 2nd and 3rd world countries.
Will they have the private ability to serve? And it is a joy to serve freely with your own means, not by federal mandates with no funds to back up that mandate.
If only those who serve in Washington would be freed of patronage so that they may have true servant joy. Sigh.

    Dear Congressman Akin,
First I want to thank you for your vote against the Cap & Trade Bill. Hopefully a few more will see the light & change their vote before Friday.
Secondly, may I suggest that an amendment be added to any healthcare bill comes up that states that the president, his family & all in Congress will have to participate in the same healthcare system that we will have to. What's good for the people, should be good enough for all in Washington who are representing us. Right? We'll see how many vote for that.
Keep up the good work you do for us.

Boy, Don't get me started on that! There wouldn't be enough space on the server. I saw this after 'Nam, and the promises to fix it. It comes up in every election but nothing is ever done. Here is a reality I think you know, but those who don't…..The Vets and the military are like that special suit in the closet, it is only worn on special occasions, well, the Vets and the military are America's special suits, brought out on special occassions, like parades and holidays, OR when needed to go off to fight and die for THEIR freedoms, then when its all done, like that suit, put back in the closet and forgotten till the next time. Its sad, but true. I've lived with it for many moons, does it make me angry, you bet, have I tried to change it yes, but I was only one voice.

  27. triper57 says:

    DMN –

I see now. You think you deserve better care than those who can't afford insurance. You think that the government will provide better care than your HMO or private doctor. If you think that the care is greener on the other side of the fence then by all means quit paying your insurance and go to the free clinics. But I will tell you this, You get what you pay for, and we already pay for the care of the uninsured, through a very inefficient system.

Right now we should be discussing how to solve our problems and how to fix them when we get out of the mess our "leaders" have gotten us into. When we have paid down the National Debt then we can afford to put a 'hopefully' better system in effect.

  28. OldMarine says:

That's why America is great, by the way, some of those operations are donated, it was just away to get the point out there.

I'll check it again later see if he answers, which I doubt.

  32. DMN says:

It's good that you see now, triper57, and that you have me all figured out. I'm sorry if I feel that people should have to WORK for what they get…..and that includes working to pay for their own insurance. People have been doing that for YEARS! Why do we suddenly have to change everything to make sure that EVERYONE has the same benefits as everyone else? This country is not about fairness…it's about working hard and getting ahead through your own labor and sweat. What Obama is proposing will cost us untold amounts of money. I'm sorry if you're upset that I don't want to go along with his socialist agenda. And, by the way, I have been without insurance during periods of my life. That made me work even harder to get a good job with benefits. I NEVER sat back and let others pay for my needs.

  33. gsteinbacher says:

Thats the same system we have now… the dead beats don't pay and we do, not to mention we also pay for them. If the government sets up care facliities we as tax payers still pay. I am not sure I follow your line of reasoning

  34. DMN says:

I guess I'm supposed to feel BAD because I don't want to pay for the health care of others. I don't understand why our country is running on "feelings" now instead of facts. In our country, you work for what you get; you don't stand in line for a handout. In the old days, no one wanted to accept government handouts; today, millions are happily lined up for government handouts. If there's no stigma to taking away what workers earn, what is to keep the workers working? When our kids look at people who feel that health care and benefits are God-given rights, why would they choose to work for a living?

  35. JansKid says:

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

I like this one from Townhall.com…

    http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y251/SonOfTed/?a...

  36. DMN says:

You've summed it all up, glblermngisbunk. Why would anyone work if his/her paycheck could be snatched away to pay for a deadbeat? Just because Obama's only presidential skill appears to be bankrupting our country by throwing OUR money at everything he sees does NOT mean we are going to allow him to throw more of our money towards deadbeats….most of which are illegal aliens!

  37. JansKid says:

Traditionally it is ALWAYS cheaper to evaluate what isn't working with a current system that is already in place and enhance it than to develop a completely new one.

Developing a new system is a major effort, regardless of whether it is manual or a computer system or – in this case – both.

The larger the system, the more that can be saved by enhancing a system already in place.

  38. DMN says:

Carter didn't have Pelosi and Reid plotting and planning the overthrow of the American government. If Obama's continuing actions involving a shadow government and a private military force come to fruition, we may find ourselves as subjects of Obama. I disliked Carter and happily voted him out of office, but I never feared for my country while he was president. Obama is a blatant LIAR and seems to have no problem when people question him about his lies. I like Sarah Palin, but I also like Mitt Romney. Maybe they could run together.

  39. DMN says:

You have as much right to life as anyone on the planet. We should not have to EARN our right to live. Politicians are good for NOTHING….why would we EVER trust them to decide who should live or die? Only GOD chooses who lives or who dies. These politicians need to be stopped.

  40. triper57 says:

    DMN-

I have never said that people shouldn't work for their benefits. But to carry your argument to its logical conclusion you want to quit paying for the care we provide now for those in need. Whether you used the services available to you during a time of your personal need, they were available to you. No where have I suggested we provide insurance to those without, as that is a very poor way to provide health care for those in need. Since you are a Christian and believe that the Government shouldn't provide any help to those less fortunate than yourself, I'm sure your church supports a free clinic.

When did I ever support B_O's health care plan. And what he is proposing is going to cost us to much money. The present system is unsustainable in it's present form. Most of the money that supports it comes from Medicare and Medicaid. Projections are that it will not pay for itself in the next 6-8 years. We have that long until we have to do something. Now is not the time.

You are running on feelings. Your feelings that someone is getting something for nothing and freeloading on your dime has blocked your compassion. This country has always helped the less fortunate, both here and abroad. We have always helped the sick when they couldn't help themselves.

  42. Tip O'neal ran a pretty tight ship. I can't remember who lead the Senate, but I agree, the Pelosi, Reid, BHO trifecta is intimidating.
I could live with Mitt especially compared to what we have now. But his willingness to meet the left half way concerns me. That was a trait non-existent in Reagan, and I see the same in Palin, she's not in the 'ol boy network of country club Republicans, and I think that McCain's people have trashed her is proof of that, and proof she poses a real threat, not just to the left, but the "moderates" of her party.
She hasn't swallowed the "global warming" propaganda, McCain surely has. I haven't seen a hard stand from Romney on that, but I do think Romneycare gives him negative points in my view.

  43. beenfield says:

<DIV>Thanks, say a prayer for me I go for an ultra sound and mammogram tomorrow. It's been 11 years pray it's not back! Thanks

  44. DMN says:

I have been paying taxes for years and years and have NEVER talked about NOT paying for people who need medical care. However, that does not mean I want every illegal alien and all of their family on my back for their medical care. I NEVER said "the Government shouldn't provide any help to those less fortunate than myself". Those are YOUR words. And, by the way, I am not FORTUNATE…I have worked LONG and HARD for what I have. If you GIVE people something, they will NEVER work for it! Government insurance should be like unemployment benefits: limited and time sensitive.

  45. DMN says:

Apparently you want to help NO ONE if you're not in favor of paying for EVERYONE! Deport the illegal aliens and our health care crisis is fixed. No problemo!

<DIV>You know I had'nt thought of that but now I wonder! It would be easy, wonder if we have to put down what our affiliation is?! By the way are you going to do the whole census? I think it is 18 pages!

  48. DMN says:

For the census, I'm only telling them how many people live in my household. The rest of it is none of their business. I won't be reading those 18 pages, I assure you. Talk about invading our privacy. You know, another thing I was thinking….once the government has control of our medical care and all of our records, what's to stop them from harvesting organs for their buddies who might need them? Since these bureaucrats would be deciding who's to live and who's to die, why wouldn't they target people for their organs? I'm sure a huge black market could crop up in the US. Since politicians will kill you for a buck, we might have more problems than we had previously thought about.

  49. DMN says:

Close the borders, deport the illegals, and then worry about the health care crisis. As long as illegals can jump the borders, you will NEVER solve the health care crisis. Until those things are done, leave the health care system alone. I'm expressing no feelings….I am expressing FACTS as to what will solve the health care crisis.

We had a Republican Governor and had a surplus, we got a Dem and guess what were in big financial trouble. This party thing is ridiculous. We all have got to start voting on issues and ethics, although it may be hard to find anyone who fits.

  53. DMN says:

AWESOME post! You have hit the nail on the head. Obama needs to read this and think about it. He is destroying the country because he is not logical and he does not care about the country. Thanks for this post! I'm going to use this against a few Obamamites.

  54. DMN says:

The Democrats are so dishonest that they make the Republicans look like angels. We have to clean out BOTH parties before it's too late. Republicans are usually better with finances, but the whole country is insane right now. Once Obama brought out the money, politicians became trick dogs for him. They've got their snouts in the US Treasury and are so busy gobbling up money that they're not watching what Obama is up to with his shadow government and private military force. Obama is dangerous.

  55. DMN, I agree with geann. We've had a lot of fast paced bad in the last few months, but all avenues available within the system have not been exhausted. Until that happens, we MUST remain calm, but vigilant. I recall the Carter years, and there are many parallels here. Though I believe BHO is more dangerous than Carter, he will have the same negative impact on Americans. Carter begat a Reagan electoral landslide of 49 states in 1980. I hope, and pray daily, 2010 will be a rude awakening to the Marxists that threaten us. I also secretly pray for Sarah Palin to come back like a storm in 2012 and kick butt. Her detractors are pulling the same stuff on her they did with Reagan before he was nominated. The party leaders were running around trying to convince everyone he was unelectable during the primaries. They're out of touch with the grassroots.

DESERVE, Deserve, What have you done, other than be born, to deserve anything. You appear to be asking for a handout.

  57. Rahthrae says:

Republicans do not act on this for two reasons. The first, is at the core of the Republican party are conservatives. Conservatives have as part of their theoretical paradigm the idea that people should pick themselves up by their own bootstraps. Conservatives wish only to provide an equal opportunity to succeed or fail based on merit. The idea is a 'darwinian notion' via Capitalism that the strongest will survive, and our society will flourish and be better for it. That prevents them from courting certain groups like democrats openly do, with special assistances and favours to get their votes. The second, Republicans fear alienation of existing citizenry and their votes (in this case hispanics) whom they feel identifies with illegal aliens originating from the citizenry's country of origin. So in many cases members of the Republican party will not actively campaign against amnesty-type bills, and in some cases, like McCain, even promote "compassionate" alternatives to try to court the group. It's a futile and misguided attempt, in my opinion, because those wanting amnesty for illegals, like any consumer, will just shop for the best deal.

  58. triper57 says:

    DMN

Finally. Freeloaders are illegals. If that's what you wanted to say then say it up front. We agree. Close the borders, kick out the illegals, make minor changes to our present system when our other problems are behind us.

Where we disagree is that I don't feel that the government should get any more involved, than it already is, in insurance through Medicare and Medicaid. And if the government insurance could be removed from Medicare and Medicaid I would be very happy. Insurance is a very inefficient way to provide health care, but that is another argument.

MY statement "the Government shouldn't provide any help to those less fortunate than myself" is the logical conclusion to the argument that you expressed earlier. I never said you said it. If I had I would have used Quotes.

BTW you are fortunate. You had a roll model (parent, grand parent, teacher) that instilled in you the ethics that drive you to strive to better yourself. Many of our young people don't receive those needed ethics.

I believe that the government is too embedded in our lives….and is becoming more so as I type this. I will not support anymore government involvement in our health care system.

When you talk about the importance of role models, maybe you should consider what a poor role model someone would be if he/she just GAVE someone something without any effort on the other person's part. That's what you're talking about with health care. If people are not encouraged to work for what they receive, you disable them and you've taught them that someone else will always save the day for them. THAT is not the American way…..that is the way to create a socialist society. Young people need to learn to WORK and to RELY on THEMSELVES for what they attain. They may not know it when they leave home for the real world, but the school of life will quickly teach them….unless someone is there to GIVE them things.

A quote for you to ponder on Joni

"It is simply not credible for Obama to propose taxing Americans trillions to subsidize health care when he refuses to come to grips with why so many are poor".

  67. Yes, I for one do not think our healthcare system needs a total overhaul. It needs three simple changes that would completely fix it;

    1) No treatment for illegal aliens.
    2) Tort reform.
    3) No pay, no service. (It will be easier for people to pay once #1 & #2 are implemented)

You definitely may be right about Palin. The more they trash her, the more I like her. What if that means she's not in "bed" with the puppeteers who run our government? I'd vote for her just because of that. I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of "accident" befall her. If she's such a threat to these powerful people, they'll do anything to get her out of the picture. Yep, I think I'm pro-Palin from this moment on. Thanks for helping me decide on Palin over Romney. I appreciate the comparison you made between Romney and Palin. Go, Palin!

There are no guarantees in life. You can cry in court all you want, but it won't replace you breast, likewise there's no reasonable remuneration for it either. So why drive up the cost for everyone else if it's really retribution one wants? Why not cut off the breast of the offending doctor instead, then pull his license so he doesn't do it again? Seems that would make doctors more careful, result in less mishap, and a whole lot cheaper than letting the government run things.

You've looked into Palin and Bachmann much more than I have. I hate to admit it, but I've based my preferences on the news and what they've presented about each person more than I did on any of my own actual research. Thanks for showing me the error of my ways. I promise to do my own research from now on….and to listen to you guys on here who do so much research. I've been researching global warming, nationalized health care and other THINGS, but I've been remiss in my researching of potential leaders. Thanks, glblwrmgisbunk, for helping me see my own weakness. You've made some excellent points. We definitely do NOT want a president who thinks TOTALLY along party lines. This party polarization is going to be the death of our country. I also can appreciate the fact that Palin doesn't swear allegiance to her political career over the good of her family. Thanks for your input.

The only thing about my health care that I am unhappy with is that the money I put into it the Social Security and Medicare plans is running out because CONGRESS spent MY money on illegal immigrants and is now telling me that as a senior citizen, I am breaking their bank!

IT COULD NOT POSSIBLY BE ALL THOSE ILLEGAL BABIES I HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR OVER THE YEARS! NAH!, i just don't understand the system!

Sorry, Barry! I know when someone is stealing from me! I am old, not dead, senile, or stupid!

  73. MollieB55 says:

Well, ramfire, his sole profession is a blogger. Facts don't matter. Attack him and he adds you to his list to follow. Then try to follow him or check him out and he is so hidden behind his technology that it is ridiculous. My son-in-law could track him but I figured anyone that paranoid wasn't worth my trouble or my son-in-law's.He probably has us all on "the list." Well, I think the White House knows how I feel about them! I have made NO secret of it.

OH,and, bluejoni, my son is a lawyer and his wife is also, and works for the 4th District Court of Appeals. You can add that to my info profile! And my son is licensed to practice in a number of states. There are several people sitting in jail right now for threatening his partner and him on YouTube. So you just keep stalking all of us, OK?

  74. I feel your pain MollieB55. Fortunately I saw this coming, so I don't feel quite as let down. Social Security has been out of money for at least 17 years that I know of. They've been paying benefits with non negotiable treasury bonds (IOU's, Funny Money) all this time. The politicians spent all our savings long ago. They have no money for a health care plan and they don't intend to give us any health care. When we need it, they'll just have their "health czars" tell us it's not costwise, and let you and me go off and die. That's why Obama made the remark in one speech, something about being given the opportunity to take "pain pill" in lieu costly treatment.

  75. MollieB55 says:

The paperwork is 95% government regulation. So, yeah, we really need more of that! I have already had 3 doctors retire early because they got fed up with the unnecessary paperwork! I have another specialist who will quit if the health reform bill goes through.

I was going to teach until I died but I retired after I had in the required number of years because the government no longer allowed me to teach. I spent 90% of my time filling out stupid papers for the government, duplicating unnecessary things, and being forced to try to accomplish goals that were impossible. And thinking human beings would know that. You don't have to be a teacher to know that you can not teach a Russian speaking child from a Russian speaking family who is not required to learn English, 8th grades science terminology!

I was expected to give this child 8 years of science in one year and he didn't have to learn English. Well, tough, buddy! This is America. Speak English! I am from German heritage but we all learned to speak English. I just could not learn how to speak Russian, Laotian, Cambodian, the Mexican form of Spanish (which is very different from the Spanish form from Spain!), Vietnamese, and Korean. Yeah, I know, I am a real slacker!

The United States is NOT a welfare state! If you want someone to take care of you, go back home and have mommy and daddy do it!

  76. Reagan was a Democrat before he was a Republican. I believe his allegiance was to the people he serve and the constitution, and that trumped party allegiance. He spoke plainly, not trying to appease those who disagreed with him, so even if you disagreed, you knew where he stood. I see all these same qualities in Palin who was a first a wife and mother, not a ladder climbing career politician. She only got into it because she felt the school system wasn't serving her community as it should. And it went from there. While she identifies herself with the Republicans, her husband is a Democrat, but I think that's an asset because I like to believe they put each other before either party. So, there are Republicans trying to get her out of the way because she won't "play ball", and I like that!
Thanks for taking the time to consider my viewpoint. Michelle Bachmann is similar with regard to her true conservatism. I think the only reason she's not been trashed is she hasn't shown any desire to leave the Senate. I also find women less corruptible in some ways than men.

  78. goldnhorde says:

Not to be like this, but it is a more tangled web than that. You have the medical people who ae over pricing their services to deal with the public, they then turn around and also take the insurance companies for everything they can get and then settle 90 percent of the time on 80 percent of the bill which is usually marked up 150% of the need. YOu then have the pharma community that just plain has the highest mark up of any industry, with few exceptions. heck, look at the billions they are willing to spend to keep it that way, that's how much profit they are making. and then you have the citizens that make everything else topside by being letigious scumbags in their own right , justifying everyone else for their activities in general.

YOu want to fix Healthcare, we have to start with ourselves and offer protection to those medical professionals that are just trying to help us. then they, along with the rest of us, have to get rid of insurance. not modify it, get RID of it. then we need to go to the pharma and find some way to make it worth the business without stripping the actual medical field.

Count me in. I truly believe in the motto: "Give Me Liberty, or give me death". Which will probably happen anyway if the superior one gets his way with the health care overhaul.

  80. DocKBR says:

Yep, sometimes the simpler the better. Einstein had a personal philosphy. basically, if something is right, then it should be able to be explained in terms that most can understand. (This is basically an extension of Occum's razor.. which says that all things being equal, the simpler explanation is usually the right one.) A quick example
Liberal claim: We need huge complex 1500 page unread bills to solve the problems of the American people.
Conservative claim: all we need is freedom
Liberal claim How does that solve the proble,
Conservative, "it doesn't solve the problem, we solve the problems because we are free to"
Liberal that is the failed ideas of the past. and is not a solution
Conservative Huh, are you that blind? No central controlled (despotic) government plan has ever worked in history. People abandonded those plans in large numbers to come here for this old tired idea of freedom. Freedom doesn't fail, big government plans do.
Liberal response.. your impossible and unreasonable..
Conservative response really?.. This is the logic we are up against.

I live in "snow Bird" country. Many Canadians come here to roost for the winter (so of course they are gone for the summer). The Canadians I have spoken with (likely the more afluent of course) say that the system is horrible, that they get much better care here and is worth the money. Though the Canadian Dollar fell almost 30% last fall and we didn't see as many. Since then the US dollar fell 15% (so they are only 15% down now from a year ago), maybe more will be back this fall. I am always amazed at people who hold up Canada as so green and liberal… Canada is our top source of imported oil! They are drilling for oil and selling it to us!!! Are we really that stupid??.. ok rhetorical question…

  82. detestObama says:

DocKBR: If I understand you, you are saying the Canadian healthcare is better than the USA, for the money? Also, what do you mean when you say "Canada is our top source of imported oil"? Do you live in Canada?
