So the U.N. finally steppes up to do something about an issue confronting the world and …They pick the wrong issue.Again.Not surprising to anyone I imagine, but at some point it should become ridiculous to even some one who likes these nut jobs(sorry if I offended any nut jobs) but really, you support a man who wants to rule for life, you put countries on the human rights council who violate those same human rights every chance they get. I suppose that this is minor league for you guys. But on a positive note our President is standing up for the rights of free people every chance he gets…Oh wait, that's right he's not. He's standing up for the rights of petty dictators and tyrants.he doesn't want to meddle in Iran's affairs but has no problem letting the people of Honduras know that he believes they should give they're El President e another shot at subjugating them.He has no problem going to other countries and telling them how sorry HE is for the things America has done, does he say how much those same other countries should be thankful that there is a country like America in world…I don't think so.So the U.N,gets it wrong and Obama gets it wrong…They are 2 peas in a pod aren't they?Let's hope that in 2012 we get a President who gets it right.God Bless

  2. Nomarxism says:

Our military will support and defend the constitution. This is why Obama needs to put together his national security force that will be equipped as well as our military. History lesson: Hitler called them the brown shirts.

  3. Jackjr60 says:

P.O. the UN. I say kick their arses out of this country and do it now. They mean only harm to us and our way of life. As far as the Obamassiah siding with the ousted Honduran president, I say that figures.

    • DMN says:

Jackjr60, I like your name for Obama….Obamaassiah. It tempts me to shorten the nickname you gave him to……ASS. That name seems to fit him even better.

  4. Islandsox says:

I also wanted to add that Obama needs to take a very hard look at what the people of a country can do when pushed too far. They found a legal way to get rid of Zelaya; it sure seems to me that, for instance, the power-grabbing in Washington has been called unconstitutional by many lawyers and judges. If so, why not sue the government? If not, the people may just camp out in Congressional offices across this nation, as well as Pennsylvania Avenue after the July 4th Tea Parties. Why don't people picket the Washington officials offices like ACORN does at banks, mortgage companies–anyone they don't like?

    • DMN says:

As I said in my last post, it appears like most of our country's politicians are dishonest. Obama seems to surround himself with criminals. I am surprised that honest politicians and lawyers aren't speaking out against Obama and taking legal action against him….I take that to mean that our government and courts are all in on the corruption WITH Obama. We have had a tea party or two, but I believe we need to be a constant presence that the government can't just ignore. If we don't do something, we are going to repeat Hitler's history. We just aren't sure how to go about this whole protest thing.

  5. Islandsox says:

I live here in Honduras and want to make some comments. First, it was NOT a military coup like is being reported; the Legislature and Supreme Court ordered Zelaya into exile for his crimes against the Constitution (trying to illegally hold a referendum to change the constitution). They could have either arrested him or exiled him. They didn't arrest him in case of potential civil unrest. The next in line was the President of the Congress, Roberto Michelleti, he is our interim President. Since this all came down, they have found 40 million missing dollars in Zelaya's bank accounts; the same 40 million missing dollars from the govt purse. The OAS tried to impose sanctions, one of which was to stop all of their goods into Honduras. They forgot that in order to ship their goods out of Central America, the goods have to pass through Honduras first due to we have the only two ports for shipping. So, they backed down on that one. Part of the OAS, Mexico, Guatemala, Columbia, and Canada are coming to Honduras to discuss this issue with the new interim President. Zelaya was to return this Saturday, but warrants for his arrest are waiting for him.

I don't have enough room here to write all of the details of his unconstitutional acts, but you get the drift. It figures Obama would support him, he's a Chavez wannabe, too. However, Clinton is now not using the words military coup because it wasn't; a military coup is when the military takes over; they didn't.

    • winecup says:

Very interesting details about the missing money, Islandsox. I was wondering where you have been and was thinking of you as all this went down. I have been assuming that on Roatan you are somewhat removed from "things," or are Hondurans on Roatan joining with protests? My posting above contains my sister's words. She is in San Pedro Sula. The posts explaining that were lost when vent reset. I am in Texas.

      • Islandsox says:

There were very few protests; only those who were paid by Zelaya for years protested. There have been parades though! Hondurans are pretty happy. There is now, as of 10 minutes ago, more missing money found. It's climbed to $143 million and they have Zelaya's black book and are arresting people in La Ceiba, San Pedro, and Tegus as we speak. One is the President of Hondutel, your sister will know Hondutel, it's the national telephone company. Most Hondurans are thrilled with his ouster; he did so much damage, even here on Roatan. He sent over thugs to shut down our island and burn some buildings back in May because he wants the Cruise Ship money. I was in Texas, but I saw the pictures; several were killed. Then the COBRAs were sent over to stop them and Zelaya said to let them all go and they did. Too much to write here but protests are minimal; parades are increasing!

    • As I said here yesterday…

Let me take a page out of this Administration’s apology playbook…but with a different spin!
Honduras…”We the People” of the United States applaud you for standing up and protecting your Constitution! We are also very very very sorry for what was elected to run our Country. Many of our elected out of touch misrepresentatives are up for re-election in 2010, so we will soon be straightening out our problems and protecting our Constitution too.
      Bravo Honduras….Bravo!!!

    • DMN says:

Thanks for your explanation, Islandsox. We are watching what's happening with your country and considering what we may eventually have to do in our country. Unfortunately for us, our ENTIRE government appears to be corrupt. I don't know if we have enough honest politicians to legally take out the bad ones if it comes to that. Zelaya sounds like he was blatant and felt like he owned your country….I definitely see shade of Obama. Is your country worried about Obama at all?

  6. CowgirlUp_TX says:

I hope God is helping the Hohnduran people to keep this corrupt and bloated toad out of their country.

    • Islandsox says:

That's really funny, Cowgirl! LOL. Zelaya will be arrested if he returns, period. Doubt he'll come back; he's hoping that "talk" will put him back in office but now they have discovered lots of "missing" money in his accounts—oops!

    • DMN says:

Hmmmm….corrupt and bloated toad…..are you talking about Pelosi, Reid, Obama, or Zelaya?? They are ALL corrupt, bloated toads.

      • Islandsox says:

DMN, ha ha! You had asked if our country was afraid of Obama. They aren't with the exception he wants to do away with CAFTA that Bush put into place to trade goods back and forth. Honduras has a trump card and that is its sea ports. All of the members of the OAS have to go through and use Honduran ports to get their goods out of Central America. That makes Honduras special. The director of the OAS is coming to Honduras today to plead for us to take Zelaya back; the answer will be No. Then they are going to impose sanctions and then Honduras is going to close its ports so they can't ship their goods. We are laughing our butts off down here because we hold the Golden Egg (the sea ports).

  7. DonProffitt says:

My note to the President…..could everyone kinda watch, and ask questions if I disappear in the next few weeks ?

Well Mr. President I see in Honduras that you have once again come down on the WRONG side of the issue. The supreme court of Honduras, and the people there upheld thier constitution against a would be dictator, and you come out in support of the dictator. My question is why ? The courts, the Honduran Military, and the people upheld the rule of Law when a sitting president in their country tried to change their constitution, and their system of checks and balances. Do you sir have similar plans at the end of your term ? Why would you side with the dictator, and pull military support for a country that is about to be attacked by the likes of Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega and others? It is painfully obvious to me sir that you may have similar ambitions in ruling America yourself.

    • Islandsox says:

I posed this same question over on the Huffington Post. Boy was I brave. They called me an Obama hater. I agreed because I told them he was like a toddler in a diaper when it came to world affairs. And that I sure wish he had ran a lemonade stand when he was a kid so he would have had some experience.

    • Islandsox says:

The good news is that one by one, countries are now seeing the truth of what happened down here. Canada just issued support for our new interim-President. And you can bet that when more and more countries discover the truth and come to the side of Honduras, Obama will be the last one to do so, just like he normally does. He has to follow suit, not lead because he can't lead. He's a follower, not a leader except in the USA but that is changing too! He's gone too far with the American people and he will see the results in 2010.

  9. Dave48763 says:

  10. So lets see if I have this right…Our Commander and thieves support a dictator in Honduras but turn their backs on the Iranian people trying to take control of their country ?

    • DMN says:

He feels really bad about that…NOT! Obama is an arrogant narcissist who thinks he knows what is best for all of us. As far as he's concerned, we can't wipe our butts without his help. Since Obama seems to side with dictators against freedom, he is beginning to lose some support from the media. HE is the one becoming TRANSPARENT….and people aren't liking what they're finally seeing.

  11. EREKOSE says:

God Bless those people over there and I hope Obama understands the gravity of the situation, but we all know he thinks he did nothing wrong and that's the sad part here. At least the American people are supporting the Honduran people. And bye the way did anyone expect anything less from the U.N. those bunch of knuckleheads couldn't support the right cause if you gave them directions and a paint by numbers book.Common sense is NOT a prerequisite for being a diplomat.Stay strong and Live free people.

  12. SnowDogMom says:

Kick the damn UN out of this country the sooner the better for all of us

"Exiled Honduran President Wins Support From The UN"

Big Deal. BO is a communist.

  14. Tntsgram says:

The guy was impeached for trying to shred their Constitution. BO, Chauvez, Castro, et al., call it a military coup, but it was not; it was ordered by their own Congress and Supreme Court – an impeachment. Guess BO just don't get it does he?

  15. I do understand the feelings of not quite believing what is happening. The disbelief that things have gone so bad, so quickly. I honor your service, OldMarine, and I do not doubt we will all do the right thing. It is like a bad dream, only we are awake. Semper Fidelus, brother, for Our Rendevous with Destiny appears to be drawing closer.

  16. Aida1 says:

I agree with many people that are posting. We need to do something,Obama is taking our freedoms away faster than you can say THE BRITISH ARE COMING!

  17. DMN says:

Our politicians are out of control, that's for sure. I googled Hal Turner and found out he's a white supremest and an anti-Semitic. I don't share his beliefs, but our government should operate with legal rules, not emotional feelings.

  18. Hobbes says:

Old Tex, now you've gone and done it – "reminds me of the smallest of my dogs.." I'm laughing as I try to type. Can't match that one. Glad you're around.

  19. OldMarine says:

Well, I only had 14, Nam for a 13, and then back in and out. I have been yelling for peaceful methods to save our country, but I'm afraid some may get frustrated, we can only keep reminding them and at the same time use our email, faxes and what ever we can.

  20. OldMarine says:

Possible, The only thing I feel we can trust is our Military. Above all they will do the Right and Honorable thing.

  21. Hobbes, now that you mention it, it was funny…Glad you are here, too, friend.

  22. Boopster, amen, sister.

  23. Jerseygal says:

I know, and thank you for your service.

  24. Amen. How is the family? Still safe and well, I hope?

  25. bump, my friend

  26. DMN says:

You're very welcome, winecup. I wish our country had balls enough to get rid of our garbage.

  27. OldMarine says:

You're welcome, but just doing what needed to be done.

  28. Jerseygal says:

You are a true voice of reason on this site. thanks for that too.

  29. NP…have at it. I got the site off the Glenn Beck show and I use it everyday

  30. If the old horses are still in charge of the Services…then I agree with your view. If it's the youngin's, who are mostly too young to be conservative and easily confused, then all bets are off. (Remember "Four dead in Ohio")

If someone had told me ten years ago, we would be on the verge of a civil war, I would have told them they were nuts!! Today, I would say, the writing is on the wall!! Will it happen? I don't know, I hope not!

Is our government purposely pushing us to the breaking point? I think so!! If you would have asked me that question a few years ago, I would have said no, but today it sure looks like it! What else could be their goal? The only conclusion I come to, is they want to free themselves from the constraints of the constitution! Once they've gotten rid of the constitution, then they would be free to do what ever they want.

Would the U.N. deploy troops here? They would gladly do so! The U.N. has been pushing for years to take the firearms away from private citizens, this would give them the 'excuse' to do so!! All I can say is, those blue helmets will make very good targets for former snipers like myself!!

Does this sound crazy? A few years ago, I would have said yes, now I'd say it's not so crazy! When you eliminate all other possibilities, it seems likely!

  34. Bring it on is right!!!…Easy targets…Blue Helmets running away. Once you have the TOF and range you then factor in rifle lock time and target speed to arrive at a lead.

  36. DMN says:

You and I are on the same page with this one. It's weird that the media keeps calling Obama the "messiah". What nerve they have!

  37. winecup says:

Yes. Holding their breath waiting for tomorrow's deadline. Thanks for asking, OldTex. How're you and "the Missus?"

  38. winecup says:

Something even more "interesting" from all this, is what I've learned thanks to my sister, of the president of the UN general assembly. Following the advice she writes below, I did the google search. Put this, Obama and the Alba nations together and the light goes on.

"I think I start to feel the tide of international opinion turning. I genuinely believe the format of the UN extraordinary session yesterday to be strange. For those interested, look it up for your own interest and you will see who the actual general assembly president is. A simple google asking…what is Escoto´s role at the UN…. If you didn´t get to see the session live it is a shame and surely there must be a way of seeing a rerun?

"I think after the long wash goes through the spin cycle Honduras will come down in history as having (excuse the crudeness this is a local expression I am translating) their balls well sewn on."

  39. theGhost24 says:

Actually I say we send the letter to every house rep and senator in our districts everyday to remind them of what we want!

  40. theGhost24 says:

Actually I say we send the letter to every house rep and senator in our districts every day to remind them of what we want! Because the Woman that wrote it couldnt send it to her represenative, so we could send it to ours.

  41. DMN says:

I'm not sure what you mean from this post, winecup. I googled Obama and the Alba nations and learned that Zelaya was moving Honduras under Chavez's influence when he joined ALBA without his country's permission. Like Obama, Zelaya was having chummy meetings with Chavez. So, apparently this removal of Zelaya from Honduras government puts Obama in a bad position with Chavez. Is that what you're trying to say? Do you think Obama is against Chavez and is involved in this coupe, or do you think Obama is trying to make this whole coupe up to Chavez? I'm very interested in what you have to say, but could you please make it more clear for my tired brain?

Does your last paragraph mean that Honduras is going to be punished or that Honduras is going to be okay? Once again, sorry I'm so dense.

  42. plowboy says:

Despite his views, he was still had inside sources that let him get out the news about the goings on of the country before ANY of the news organizations were getting it! He was usually a week or two head of them. It was almost like they were putting the story out because Hal was forcing them to the table. The current justice department can drop all charges against the black panthers that were threatening white voters with night sticks, but have that is different than talking and speaking what is on your mind I guess. Change we can believe in!

  43. winecup says:

Those troops have been heavy on my heart these past days. What a circumstance to be in. What are they to do… they see a "brotherhood" of military who have similarly sworn to uphold their constitution. They see their own U.S. constitution being shredded, and they receive orders from their commander-in-chief who is a despot-wanna-be. I met British military in Zimbabwe who had gone AWOL when they were deployed under UN as monitors of the "free-and-fair" elections there because what they witnessed and what they were asked to do by the UN went against everything they had signed up for.

What a weight for these men to carry.

  44. If this were the Reagan years, we'd already be in there. How do you feel about that?

  45. Islandsox says:

That will NEVER happen; Obama is not a military type guy, his left base would crucify him over troops. Chavez or Castro or Noriega may try, but you see, we have a USA Air Base here. Interim-President Michelletti said the only way Zelaya can return to power is by use of guns and that he better bring a lot of them.. That's a pretty clear message.

  46. winecup says:

Our troops have been working with Honduran troops for decades. They are side-by-side with the Honduran troops. This is a helluva situation for our lads.

  47. winecup says:

Oh dear! We're doing the double-post thing again! DMN, sorry for being so convoluted in my reply. The google search on the UN's Escoto's role is what I meant. It is well-known that his agenda is for one-world socialist government and he aligns himself with Chavez, etc. I mean, bluntly, that Obama is aligning the US with a one-world socialist government.

  48. 357ben says:

This far, NO FARTHER!! WE MUST DRAW A LINE IN THE SAND!! When they cross it, we need to bury them!! END OF STORY!!

I agree, if someone would have told me the the country would elect an unknown community organizer with known terrorist connections, with s ocialist connections and is quoted as wanting to redistribute the wealth and the congress does everything it can to turn us into a s ocialist country, I wouldn't have believed it.

  54. Islandsox says:

This whole thing started with ALBA over a year ago. But to your airplane point, 16 Venezuelan planes have crashed on Honduras and its Bay Islands (Roatan, Guanaja, Utila) over this past year. The pilots were killed in the crashes with the exception of two, and the Honduran govt burned the kilos of coke. The mobs with masks were the police in charge of destroying the drugs.

  55. Islandsox says:

Winecup, it's not a Constitutional provision that prohibits foreigners from voicing opinion. We can. What that part of the Constitution says, or its intent, is the use of the word "slander." Slander is a very serious crime in Honduras, fines and prison. So an opinion could be seen as slander, but normally isn't. However, if I were to go into a Honduran store and complain about a price of something, I would be indirectly accusing the store owner of theft. They could use my complaint as accusing the store keeper of theft and that becomes slander. That's how it works! Just wanted you to know.

  56. OldMarine says:

Well, I wonder about that. I've read some of my posts and wonder where mind was when I typed it.

  57. OldMarine says:

I disagree, sure maybe a couple, but a majority of the officer corps believe in \”…To defend and protect the CONSTITUTION, from all emenies…..\” key word is the Constitution. As far as the 4 dead in Ohio, I presume you refer to Kent State, check it out, they were Nat'l Guard under inexperience command. The Nat'l Guard has come a long way since then.

  58. Jerseygal says:

The mellow part or the 'force of the entire Corps' part?

  59. Jerseygal says:

If you insist! I would never argue with a Marine! Yes I would-just not you. We are too much on the same page.

  60. OldMarine says:

Some of the points you brought up, Police in New Orleans and ATF, I'm not familar with, but I will still trust the Officer Corps, don't forget, Collin Powell didn't turn untill a \”black\” man ran for office. He, like 95% of the blacks, voted for him on race and race only. It may not sound pretty, but the truth hurts.

  61. winecup says:

Yay for Honduras. And, yes, I'm familiar with Hondutel, as in: @hondutel.com. My sister is livid over CNNs biased reporting of the parades. They are doing to the Hondurans what they did to us tea partiers and marginalizing them.

  62. OldMarine says:

The last I heard it was 95% of the Blacks, a small percent of whites went for McCain because of race. Biut you are right, Whoever voted for this empty suit did so because he was a slick snake oil saleman, and they were dumb enough to buy it.

  63. Damn…I hate planes…but I'll go as long as it's not an French Airbus

  64. Damn…I hate planes…but I'll go as long as it's not a French Airbus

  65. DMN says:

It's agreed…..we fly on ANY plane except a French Airbus. Hey, maybe Nancy Pelosi will let us borrow HER plane! She's so generous and all….not!

  66. DMN says:

I'm glad that Honduras is standing up for itself. I still can't believe Obama would side with Chavez and Castro….whooops!!…..did I just say that?? I meant: I'm NOT surprised that Obama sided with Chavez and Castro. If Obama acts against Honduras or allows his dictator buddies to act against Honduras, we will truly know just what Obama's game is.

  67. DMN says:

I hate this double post thing! It makes it hard to read and post. Does Chavez and Castro want a One World Government? Maybe that's why Obama seems to suddenly love those dictators. Also, if Zelaya is for a One World Government, no wonder Obama wants him to stay in office in Honduras. As soon as Obama finishes bankrupting and reorganizing our country, he is going to usher in the New World Order "for our own good". We have to get rid of these crooks in DC.

  69. Well you certainly have the right to disagree with me (we've done it B4 i.e. Colin Powell). But you have to agree that there is a percentage of people who don't always do the right thing. Example: This President, Cops in New Orleans when they confiscated citizens weapons during Katrina, ATF Agents entering homes and questioning citizens without warrant, and some Officers (who shall remain nameless) I've served under.
Anyway, I hope we don't have to test it.
    Semper Paratus!
PS: I do agree the National Guard has come a long way since then…a long way!

  70. DMN says:

Don't let the trolls get to you…..they are ignorant and they're hypnotized. They spout nonsense and aren't even worth the time it takes to type a message to them.

  71. I am an Officer, but I still wipe my mouth on my sleeve…I'm a CWO3 ;-0
BTW…Some Blacks (don't know the %) voted for this Charlatan because he was black (actually I think he’s cocoa lite)…but then again, some Whites voted for McCain because he was white (or thought Palin was a babe, which she is). I think most of his voters (of all nationalities, including whites) were duped by his slick lies which are now coming to light to them, and the media. Because of my perspective…I also think, if the vegetative matter hits the metallic oscillator it will “NOT BE” a black/white thing at all (i.e. Mr. Allan Keys), but a S.o.c.i.a.l.i.s.t/Conservative thing (which we'll win since they don't have guns)
