This is one topic that has been discussed ad nasesum(sp). We all know the facts from someone who is there. We all know that the military, lawfully obeyed the orders of the supreme Court. We know that BH0 spoke out against the "coup" (for lack of a better word), yet remind quiet while people protest foe voters rights in Iran, something he and the rest of his regime always yell, everybody's vote should be counted, whether they're alive or dead. From this we can conclude, if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and acts like a duck, it sure ain't an eagle, its a damn duck. People of 912 and the sheeple of America, there has been a wanna be dictator elected, and he moving quickly to destroy this country with the hope that people will become so deparate, that they will see him as the great savior, and will allow him to become the dear leader. Let's hope that some of the elected people in Congress wake up and stop this mess. If not those with children will see them grow up in a $ocialist country, like the old Soviet Union.

  2. OldMarine says:

You got to get rid of the "white guilt" first.

    • DMN says:

None of us on here ever had a slave….I feel guilty about NOTHING! History is history….they need to get over it. I had relatives killed at Pearl Harbor, but I don't sit around griping about Japan and how they should pay reparations. History is History……..now move on with life and make something of yourself in our great country.

Obama's stance on Honduras marks a sad day for the United States and for democrats throughout the world.

  4. RageforOrder says:

We should be supporting Honduras.Honduras is enforcing their Constitution and have every right to throw out Zelaya. It comes as no surprise that Obama,Chavez and the United Nations are against a nation enforcing its Constitution. It just reveals their true colors.Obama,Chavez and the United Nations are for tyranny.

  5. OKTroy says:

    Hey 912ers.

This is off topic, and I'm not sorry. The National Republican Congressional Committee is quadrupling all donations until midnight tonight. Put your money where your mouth is. Just Do it.

    • OldMarine says:

Not on a bet! I will donate to the canidate not the party. The party has done absolutely nothing except to be Dem lite. I will be happy to donate to any canidate that lives up to the 912 Principles and values. Its up to the rest of 912 to make their discision, I'll stand by mine. If a 912er has a canidate they feel is worth backing, I'm sure they'll let us know. The party vote is over, we need people we can trust and will listen to us, after all we are hiring them.

      • OKTroy says:

By the time the 'party' gets around to fielding candidate(s) that every Republican can agree on it will be too damn late. I don't agree with every Republican on the Hill, but we've got to start up a war chest. If we don't we're all going to be back here in 2010, fighting with each other and crying in our milk wondering what the hell just happened-AGAIN!

  6. It's no surprise that Obama is coming out against the ouster of the former Honduras President Zalaya, Obama has made it his mission to cozy up to his fellow SociaIist dictators. This also bothers Obama because Chavez successfully extended his dictatorship through a referendum in Venezuela (yeah, no fraud in that election I'm sure) and he wanted Zalaya to do the same so that if Obama makes eight years here he could try to do the same thing based on precedent.

Unrelated topic here but I just heard that Norm Coleman conceded his senate seat to Frankin……Coleman had a lead after election night but it must have been all the late military ballots for Frankin that put him over the top…….the corruption that was allowed in this case which put Frankin in the senate is unbelievable………………..Also,the more I think of this Sanford fiasco the angrier I get……here we are fighting the hard fight to try to stop liberals from destroying the constitution and he picks this time to go through his midlife crisis once again allowing the left to call all of us a bunch of hypocrites………we deserved better than this……a lot better.

I agree, I wonder if Acorn played a roll in Frankey getting the senate seat lol! Because I just do not see how he got that many votes.

  9. Jaopfer says:

It is hard to believe how quickly they have enacted their long planned agenda. It is not part of their plan to give up their power.

  10. Shadrach says:

We just came from Wal-Mart and the check out we used was close to the posters. I noticed there were three different kinds of Obama posters set in front , easy to see. My wife sarcastically said " you should buy you one". I told her it wouldn't be long and they would be up everywhere, full size!! If I had a garden, I would buy one, to scare off the crows!!

  11. SPOT_OF_TEA says:

Its not that difficult to figure out whats going on…..Notice very little of the stimulus money has been spent………As unemployment remains high and hopes dwindle, come election time,Obama is going to use this money as a bargaining chip for American's votes………..Obama is going to use the hardship(which he is causing) to force people to vote for him as he will start to spent the tax payer money to raise unemployment benefits, health care and other social programs the desperate people need….vote for me or the greedy republicans will take away your unemployment checks…….do these unemployed people dare take that chance?….an unemployment check in the hand is better than 2 jobs in the bush……..he will be seen as the savior by those in need….(did I mention that he is in the process of creating this class of needy?)…..and its growing larger every day……I figure by 2016,there will be so many people dependent on the government,I predict a majority of people will be willing to vote him King of America……in fear that they cannot survive without him giving them their basic life essentials.

  12. LesIsmore says:

He was voted in by the blacks they are still bitching about slavery well they are going to get a taste of it with this man

That is hate logic my friend. I respond to hatred.

  13. Here's the height of hypocrisy…"Obama said he would work with the Organization of American States and other international institutions to restore Zelaya to power and "see if we can resolve this in a peaceful way."

I thought he preached that it wasn't any of our business what goes on in another country? Iran comes to mind.

    • Old_Navy_Guy says:

I agree about BHO preaching that it wasn't any of our business (unless it's Isreal). And, it seems to me that this event WAS resolved in a peaceful way. I understand there was no shootings or killings (woke the man up out of bed and put him on a plane), the military gave power back to the government and even Zelaya was flown out of the country and not put against a wall and shot or hanged. How can it get any more peaceful than that ???

      • Hobbes says:

Absolutely right, OldNavyGuy. Not only was it peaceful, but contrary to Obama's stated opinion, it was LEGAL. Zelaya was out to violate their Constitution with covert assistance from the likes of Chavez. Their Legislature and Supreme Court said, "No Dice!" He gave them the finger. The Army got him out of the way, and supported the restoration of orderly government.

The question now is whether those outsiders who supported Zelaya's goal to become a dictator will back off now that he's out. Stay tuned for the next steps by the UN and Obama. Most countries in the UN are run by dictators and there's no doubt about the goals and aspirations of Obama and his Czars.

    Mr. Les Gvt

Re: The American Clean Energy and Security (ACES) Act, H.R. 2454

    Dear Mr. Gvt:

Thank you for taking the time to contact me about the American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES), H.R. 2454.

For 2009, our top goal should be energy independence. I support exploring for energy off our coasts, expanding nuclear power and building a natural gas pipeline across Canada to lower heating costs in the Midwest – an "all-of-the-above" energy strategy.

As a Navy veteran, I think is time to set America's policy towards defunding Middle Eastern dictatorships by cutting our foreign oil bill, giving our troops less to worry about. That is why during the debate on the American Clean Energy and Security (ACES) bill, I voted for the Republican Forbes (R-VA) Substitute, based on the text of the New Manhattan Project for Energy Independence, H.R. 513. Our "Manhattan" energy bill set a goal of reducing our dependence on foreign oil by 50% in 10 years and 100% in 20 years. The bill cost $24 billion but would eliminate the $400 billion Americans currently spend on foreign oil. Our bill backs solar, wind, hydro, clean coal and nuclear power. It enhances research, especially in nuclear fusion, bio-fuels, carbon-capture systems and efficiency upgrades. Unfortunately, this bill was defeated by a vote of 172 to 255.

While less ideal than the Forbes Substitute, the underlying ACES bill would still lower our dependence on foreign oil by diversifying American energy production. It is time to break the boom and bust cycle of high gas prices and the need to deploy three separate armies to the Middle East (Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom). As you may know, I am a veteran of the Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom missions.

With regard to the main thrust of the ACES bill, I am also concerned about growing air pollution, both from our country and overseas. I do not think we should ignore this problem. While the ACES bill is overly complicated, I voted in favor of the legislation to address these problems, looking forward to major improvements in the Senate.

In 1998 and 1999, I served as part of the U.S. delegation to both the Kyoto and Buenos Aires UN Climate Change conferences. In those years, there was a significant debate about the amount and effect of atmospheric carbon dioxide. I was a skeptic and spent hundreds of hours on the subject of 1990s climate science. In the Congress, our job is to learn as much as possible from the latest peer-reviewed non-partisan scientists and then plot the best course for our nation.

There is now a growing scientific consensus that the level of atmospheric carbon dioxide affects average temperatures. According to the National Academy of Scientists, carbon dioxide levels rose to a high of 290 parts per million 130,000 years ago, causing a 20 degree increase in temperature. As carbon dioxide levels fell, so did average temperatures. Both Presidents Bush and their advisors recognized this long relationship and put forward their own plans to reduce the recent rapid growth of atmospheric carbon dioxide, both here and abroad.

According to NASA, the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere rose from a pre-industrial level of 280 parts per million in 1850 to 385 parts per million today. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the rate of increase is accelerating, from 376 parts per million in 2004 to 385 today. The National Academy of Sciences reports that the earth's average temperature already increased by 1.4 ?F, from 56.8 ?F in 1920 to 58.2 ?F in 2007. NOAA also reports that due to a 30% drop in winter ice covering the Great Lakes since 1972, evaporation may be the cause of Lake Michigan's declining water level.

If we examine the lowest-case NASA projection, they expect the amount of atmospheric carbon dioxide to rise to 440 parts per million by 2020. I am a strong supporter of the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office. When they reported the Democratic health care bill cost $1.6 Trillion, we should take notice and rewrite that bill. That is why I have become one of the leading Republican authors of an alternative health care bill that will be the Congress's least expensive bill, costing our Treasury very little. I read their report on ACES carefully too. CBO reports that peer-reviewed scientists expect the world's average temperature to increase by 9 degrees by 2100, lowering U.S. economic output by 3% annually. In sum, they estimated the costs of the bill per household at $140 annually

  15. beenfield says:

This was not a violent overthrow, it is a taking back the country from someone who swore to uphold the constiution of said country then decided the constitution wasn't to his liking. The people who elected him then said ",Do not shred our constitution", and took him into custody! Sounds like people who woke up and decided they had a democracy and would keep it. I admire this group who corrected a left leaning elected official before he decided the country should be Chavez like and Castro like. I see nothing wrong with this.If we arrested the officials who keep shredding our constitution and looking for new businesses they can "overthrow" who pass laws who benefit themselves, who don't obey the laws and taxes they expect us to obey and PAY, there would be 10 people left in D.C.!

  16. DMN says:

These people are overstepping their bounds and need to be stopped. There is a reason for term limits. We don't need dictators.

  17. DMN says:

Obama has sympathy for Zelaya because they have alot in common. Obama would love to stay in office indefinitely.

  20. rcalogeroglo says:

For all of the bleeding hearts that voted for this "Change", you now have to live with your foolishness! This current administration is leading our great republic down dangerous waters, waters that there may be no recovery! God, please lead us back to the path of the founding fathers. God bless this great land and please give us leaders who have our interest at heart. America is great, but only if we get back to the core principle for which this country was founded, abandon socilism!!!!

  22. SPOT_OF_TEA says:

I think Obama has looked around the world and he has noticed that it is difficult to control a population when the form of government is a democracy whereas the leader can be thrown out of office at any time…….the nerve…..having a system in play where someone as caring as Obama might be removed from office just because the majority might want to vote for someone else…..how disgusting…..Just like me Obama says, these caring leaders around the world such as Ahmadinejad,Chavez and Zelaya know whats best for their people damn it….we can't let a silly little thing like the majority opposing us stand in our way of social justice.

  23. GerryW says:

People were warned about BHO and his ties to Ayers and teachings of Rev Wright. What else would you expect him to do! I still think he is a puppet for Soros and is following his directions. Soros wants a world government and he has found his pawn in BHO.

  24. Rusty says:

Maybe he's just following his pattern of backing dictators and thugs. It could be stupidity but I think its more likely that he and his peeps are so blinded by their liberal ways that they can't tell right from wrong. Then pile on the fact that their version of "right" seems to be most always wrong according to our Constitution. And there you go.

  26. As my grandmother was fond of saying "birds of a feather band together"

Off topic – I came across this in a sig line on a motorcycle forum and found it amusing – " There would be no POTUS without TOTUS ( Teleprompter of the United States) ".

  27. liberty1225 says:

On the left birds of a feather flock together – with Chevez talking about invading Honduras – one has to wonder if the Pres is planning to sending troops to will help put this dictator back into office, or will he rely on the UN? I'm betting on the UN because the Obama administration has much bigger fish to fry here at home.

  28. DMN says:

Good advice, SecretPolice. If Obama does declare martial law, that will be a sign that the battle is about to begin for real.

  29. Shadrach says:

As political leaders, all they need to do is say it, and a lot of people will believe it!! Having not even listen to the program or knowing the content of the conversation, they will believe it to be true. This is how rumors are started and turn out to be nothing like the truth of the situation. Continuing to say the same thing over and over, it will weave itself into reality some how, and politicians know this and use it as a tool.

  30. DMN says:

I totally agree with your post, DonnCooper. We have the worst guy in office at the worst time.

  31. Obama' response SHOULD HAVE BEEN…….

Elected leaders who overstep their constitutional authority to illegally take away the rights of the citizens will experience the consequences of ignoring the mechanisms with provide the checks and balances in a republic that derives it's authority from the people.

Now, I want to know who hid the President's copy of the Constitution? Maybe it should be PERMANENTLY loaded on the teleprompter for easy access.

  32. DonnCooper says:

By Webster: a coup is "a sudden decisive exercise of force in politics ; especially : the violent overthrow or alteration of an existing government by a small group".

There was no government overthown! There was no violence! And it was not a small group!

If Manuel Zelaya remained in power that my friends would have been a coup!!!!

WOW does this piss me off!!!

    • Exactly! The military was ordered by the judiciary at the behest of the congress. I don't think this was a coup. More like an assertion of their constitution on a bad actor.

  33. Obama' response SHOULD HAVE BEEN…….

A California democrat comments her opinion about talk radio:

CA Dem leader: Why do we allow free speech to terrorize politicians?
posted at 10:11 am on June 30, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

California’s Speaker of the Assembly, Karen Bass, was foolish enough to say it — and believe it. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Bass responded to a question about conservative talk radio by calling show hosts terrorists, and openly wondering why we allow people to call politicians and give their opinions (via The Corner):

How do you think conservative talk radio has affected the Legislature’s work?

The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls. They operate under a terrorist threat: “You vote for revenue and your career is over.” I don’t know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist. I guess it’s about free speech, but it’s extremely unfair.

  35. pandabeads says:

Obama is not for freedom he plans on taking it away. This cap and trade will take away our right to buy cars, will take jobs, will take away our right to use the internet without the government watching. They mandate a power grid use for electricity and internet. Also in the bill they are taking away the right for electric companies to operate freely. They will be highly regulated and will have to purchase carbon trades. It is FASCISM!!!! Hitler did this too and the people did nothing so one day maybe Americans will wake up. But I am so frustrated with people I am very disappointed and angry that people don't care because this is my country and I want to be able to tell my children they are free because I fought and rather than under tyranny and explain Americans where to busy or lazy to take out country back. A COUP is in order in the country.. Even Barney Franks admits that what they are doing is unconstitutional. So why are we putting up with it?!!

    • LesIsmore says:

Again, I submit for your review, Pandabeads….talking like Timothy McVeigh now. No, a coup is NOT in order because your Illinois DMV or any other reason.

French government run AIRBUS planes falling out of the sky! (Of course the positive side of this is that the cost to fly in an Airbus should be falling fast too if you want to take your chances!!!) … LET'S HOPE THAT OBAMA DOESN'T GET HIS HANDS ON BOEING!!!

  37. Lets see, a would be dictator ignored the constitution of his country and over reached. His government peacefully removed him from office for ignoring the constitution of the country he was sworn to up hold. Seems reasonable to me, it was the right thing to do. The military handed the control right back to that countries congress . . . they enforced there own laws.

And then a man who would be king in America, and who dreams of remaking a country of his own vision is supporting the man who tried to be king and create a country in his own vision. Why do I feel no surprise at all.

    Hmmmm . . . . . . maybe we have something to learn from this. (-;

Where the hell is BO getting his information!!
BO is out of his f…..g mind!
WOW is he stupid with foreign policy!

    • This is one of the few times I have been GLAD that the UN is so utterly useless. If they are DOUBLY as useful in helping Zelaya as they have been in everything else they set out to do, the guy will never make it back into power.

  40. SecretPolice says:

  41. DonnCooper says:

US's support of ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya has put Americans in Honduras at risk of being asked to leave Honduras. Is BO planning on seeking constitutional changes to the 27 Amendment here? Hey the only people in Honduras that supported Zelaya are drug lords, gangs and crime rings. American forgein policy sucks!!!

  42. SecretPolice says:

BH0 is just trying to pave the way for when he & Acorn try circumventing our constitution in 2016 when he tries to do the same thing and they'll have all the state run media along with the entire cult like followers on his side.

OH OH … I here your Troll friends at Moveon and Huff Post calling you … so be on your way you little race card throwing pundit.

    • dmacdaddy30 says:

Old navy guy – I think that you are mis-reading Lelsmore post. I know that she seems to have more liberal views from other post that I have read of hers but clearly bamaboy is incorrect on the reason that Obama was voited in and they are clearly racist remarks. Leslsmore is correct that his approval rating is in the 60% percent range and so are you in that it is falling. But let's call a spade a spade. Those are not the remarks most people that dislike Obama's views woould stand for ever. Obama was elected by all races. What we need to do is to better educate the society on why his policies are wrong for America.

      • bamaboy says:

You had better research that comment Obama is falling in the ratings.Obama did carry the black vote that is not a racial slur.He got all kinds of votes that is true a lot of votes came from ACORN.So get your head out of your butt and look around!

    • LesIsmore says:

"He was voted in by the blacks they are still bitching about slavery well they are going to get a taste of it with this man"

And that isnt the RACE CARD??? I react to racism when I see it, sorry.

  45. LesIsmore says:

Did anyone here read the article? I mean other than the headline?
Obama agrees with Castro and Chavez in stating that he opposes the overthrow of an elected official by the military. Of course the nuts here just see that he agrees with these two despots so therefore he must be wrong.

Did you know that Obama agrees with both of these men that the sky is blue also?

    Duh….

  46. 357ben says:

Obama, has no choice but to stand with the dictators. Because they will be the only ones who stand with him, when he is tossed out of office!!

  48. goldnhorde says:

This is astounding. The guy slid into office by a +/-1.5% margin in 2005.

He has a low 30% approval rating and wants to break the constitution. He has public support in the capital …. but overall not even 1 in three of the population. He lost full support of the military (which is usualy a sign that you have no support of the common man), he has no backing from his other government departments.

You know, this is a no brainer. It's about not talking about Iran and North Korea. THe other two countries aren't going to do squat and honduras is going to take care of itself. THe guy is going through the same mental disorder that our precious Illinois Governor went through, where you are deluded into making yourself think that the public is 100% supportive of you and would take any abuse you hand out with a smile and a laugh and hug you tight right after.

    • irongirl says:

Why not just wait until the next election? I know nothing about Honduras, but if this guy is so unpopular, surley he would have been voted out any way.

  49. Texan2 says:

The fact that Obama sides with Zelaya should be no surprise to any American with a functioning brain. They are fellow travelers taking their respective nations on "The Road to Totalitarianism". Obama is just PO Honduras' military stepped in and kicked out Zelaya in favor of their constitution. I hope our Military is taking note……

  52. BrandonMCH says:

I applaud Honduras for their actions. Of course BHO is going to support a friend of his good buddy and fellow facist, Chavez. Their government upheld their constitution instead of shreding it like our current regieme is doing. Good job Honduras! No bloodshed either! Now if only our elected officials would start following our constitution….one can dream can't I?

  53. gragar says:

I beieve O sides with this group because he has aspirations to become a Dictator. He admires these guys. I mean why else would be side with this fool?

    • I have thought this for months. I wish people would wake up and see this. I believe many think…..This is America, it can't happen here. It would seem unbelievable but then again look at what our wanna be dictator has already done.

Once again Obama's words and actions are in complete opposition to what our great country stands for. He believes he is the president of the "new" United States of America–the re-making of which he is determined to see through despite the fact that tens of millions of we the people who are adamantly opposed to this. He tries to silence and misdirect us with so many proposals, and has indeed been successful with our elected whose priorities we do not share, but he forgets we the people are not driven by power or money alone.
He may think he can override our constitution or ignore it when convenient, but it is what makes us Americans–old school; we have life experience and are not swayed by pretty rhetoric, fudged statistics of countries the size/population of ONE of our states or romantic waxing of socialist/Marxists governments which have all been the ruin of their nations.
He will do well to remember this. And so should our elected. There is no room for hundreds of representatives in a nationalist government structure.

Did I read that correctly? Chavez = Zelaya last I checked.
I guess we are getting used to Obama cozying up to his fellow dictators.
Makes me wonder if Obama would like to seek a change to the Constitution and bring about limitless term limits.

    • DMN says:

Obama's looking more for "dictator of the New World Order" status. He is narcissistic and wants nothing but the best for himself and nothing but the worst for the US. He wants to punish us for slavery and ALL the other BAD things we've apparently done throughout history. According to him, the US is evil and he intends to bring us DOWN.

    • cherokee1241 says:

It wouldn't shock me if he tries to get the term limits changed bloomberg in NY is changing the term limits for Mayor of NYC so he can have a third term

  59. Perhaps our own wanna be dictator is concerned for his own safety.

I used to wonder how people could jeopardize their lives by demonstrating like the people in Iran. Now I understand. I too am ready to protest in the streets and lay down my life for freedom.

    • winecup says:

Don't be deceived… the ones in the streets in Honduras are the ones FOR Zelaya and are taunting, hoping to provoke violence… they are the thugs (our ACORN) not what the people want, the people are a very quiet, peaceful people and are relieved that their military supported their constitution. Chavez is championing the rioting thugs who want the dictator back. Obama is too. As with most things in the world, it is not what it appears. Research ALBA nations.

      • I am not deceived. My comment was not related only to Honduras. I do understand there is those that riot to cause upheaval such as ACORN and then there is people that believe in principals, morals, standards, God (no matter what religion) and freedom. If all that are unhappy with their current leaders and governments were peaceful/quiet then I suppose we could all sit around , drink kool-aid, sing we are the world with praises to our savior, dictator, president (what ever title they give themselves), while holding hands to the better collective cause.. That is the wishes of Tyranny. I have One higher authority (God) I answer to and no other. I want my America back and am willing to die if need be to give it back to my children.

  60. Perhaps our own wanna be dictator is concerned for his own safety.

This is not a shock to some of us, Dictators think alike!! if most people paid attention for the last 2 years they would of seen all this coming , all the signs were there.
The part that really gets me is the fact the news media only mentions this in passing, they are not alarmed about any of this, and most people don't care, they are still just waiting for their handouts from our great government,or there to busy watching the newest reality tv show,or its all about Michael Jackson.
God forbid the people of this country should pay attention to who our President sides with or how he is taking over every aspect of their life. I call it the way I see it, Obama is a communist and a very progressive one at that.

  62. DonnCooper says:

If BO could nominate himself as king and Nancy Pelosi as queen they would do it too. The Democrats have made laws against and without constitutional changes. 68. Foreigner says:

    Speaking From Honduras:

I'm tired of watching the spin of the news from other countries. There has been no military coup in Honduras since 1982. The events unfolded as follows:

    1. Ex-President Manuel Zelaya wanted to perform what was supposed to be a poll. The question was: Do you want to change the Constitution of Honduras by way of a national assembly?

NOTE: A national assembly would have eliminated all government representatives and institutions, until the new constitution would be drafted, las time this happened was in 1982, when the Honduran Armed Forces returned power to civil authorities.

    2. Last week, poll was supposed to be last Sunday, an Executive Order was drafted and published, it stated that the result of the poll was binding, and obliged the government to comply with the result of the poll, turning such poll into a referendum.
    3. Referendums in Honduras can only be enacted by the National Congress of Honduras.
    4. Seeing what happened, the Public Ministry (your equivalent would be the Attorney General), took matters to the Judicial Supreme Court of Honduras, which concluded that such poll is illegal and ordered the Executive branch to cease and desist from its realization.
    5. Ex-president Zelaya disobeyed such orders and insisted that such poll would take place whatever the cost, as Commander in Chief he ordered armed forces to distribute such polling booths and material (as is the case in general elections), second in command General Romero declined to comply with orders as they would result in defiance of the law. General Romero was illegally separated from his position later that night, only to be reinstated by Congress (which is the only institution that can legally remove him) next morning.
    6. Ex-president Zelaya proceeded to lead his followers and stormed the military air force base in order to obtain the illegal poll material, so that he could proceed to apply it.
    7. National Congress, Supreme Court, Civil Organizations and Associations decided to separate Ex-president Zelaya from office because of failure to comply with the law and attempting to destroy the Constitution of Honduras.
    8. As stated in our constitution Roberto Michelletti, President of Congress, was handed the responsibility of the Executive branch, himself replaced within Congress.
    9. The Supreme Court has been vigilant throughout the whole process so that it has been according to law.
    10. Honduran Armed Forces have respected the instances of the law at all moments, there have been no casualties, no blood has been spilled because of this and I AM PROUD of the way they have behaved.
    11. According to law all three government powers are ruling the country, former president Zelaya was ousted in a LEGAL manner and according to our DEMOCRATIC resolutions.
    12. The country has not stopped, business is as usual, except for businesses close to the Executive building, and the less than 500 people rioting you keep showing DO NOT represent the rest of the 7 Million citizens of Honduras.

WE WILL FIGHT FOR OUR CONSTITUTION!
WE DO NOT TAKE ORDERS FROM FOREIGN LEADERS LIKE CHAVEZ!
WE WILL HAVE GENERAL ELECTIONS ON NOVEMBER 29 OF 2009!
WE THE PEOPLE OF HONDURAS WILL STAND FOR DEMOCRACY EVEN IF OBAMA DOESN'T WANT TO!

    • RipeTomata says:

Right on! Do not let anyone interfere with your Constitutional rights. No one! America is on a 4 year hiatus from what it stands for, but rest assure We the People will return. Until then live free.

Amen! Foreigner, thank you for your concise accounting. My sister is in Honduras and has been for 30 or so years. I have attempted to provide the real story through her own words to those on this site. Thank you, again. Please keep in touch. Welcome to this site. I have also tried to indicate here that your situation should not be viewed by anyone as insular and pertaining only to Honduras. There is dire consequence of continued alliance between despots… including our own despot here in America.

      • Goo says:

After seeing where you came from and where you have been, it makes this post more pertinant and poignant.

We are behind you, Foreigner! Do not believe that our President speaks for all the US citizenry.

    • Goo says:

We the people, of the 912 Project, stand behind you, foreigner. The Honduran people should be proud of their military. We certainly are.

    • Thank you, Foreigner, for the facts. We stand behind you, Honduras and your right to defend your constitution, the current president of the US doesn't represent how we US citizens feel.

    • Rusty says:

Wonderful post. Stand strong. Your government is setting an excellent example of how freedom is to be protected! We may need an example to follow in our coming years once our dear leader tries the same.

    • God Bless you Foreigner! I didn't think this was a "coup". Your countrymen should be applauded for the good example they have made for the rest of the free world!

    • Thank you for your post and for helping folks understand the TRUTH.

You have the support of the PEOPLE of this country! Forget that Marxist fool we have renting office space right now.

    • Be sure that in November of 2012 we will have a different voice, a voice that does not echo the sentiment of dictators but espouses the very tenets of liberty and freedom. We the people of the United States support freedom, democracy and liberty anywhere it is sought and upheld. Thank you for the clarification and may you be blessed.

    • Thank you.
The way you have described things was my understanding of what was happening there (although yours, was of course, much more detailed. ). I was surprised and confused to see it consistently reported here as a coup, and thought that I had somehow misunderstood the situation initially. Thanks to your post I see now that I was correct in my original assessment.
May I please copy your post to share with others? It is so important that people understand the truth of these matters, I have had exactly the thoughts of so many here regarding our president and his grab for power and where it may lead . . .
God bless you and the people of your country.
      Let Freedom Ring!

    • theGhost24 says:

God Bless you, I was so disappointed when Obama said that your country was wrong for throwing your president out. He wouldnt put down Iran, but he will put yall down! I was sooo angry about that. Keep standing for your constitution and your freedoms, your country did the right thing. Our hope and prayers are with you. Keep standing for freedom.

    • I just wish more people in this country woul take their Constitution as seriously as the people of Honduras. Protect and guard it better than we have!

    • OldMarine says:

I really can't add much more then what's been al ready said, except are you and fellow countrymen willing to donate some of that patriotism to our own members of Congress, particularly the so called conservatives. From an Old Marine I salute you and your country men for standing up for your Constitution and your rights.

  69. Illustrus says:

So once again socialists reveal themselves for what they are, the purveyours of despotism, tyranny, and fear. A dictatorial leader though having been elected does not retain the title of legitimate based solely on that criteria. Contrary to the assertion or our president, legitimate leadership is only maintained by adherence to the rule of law. This man was a lawless tyrant. He had declared himself to be so when he decided that since it wasnt legal to continue to be the President of Honduras and since the courts would not support his changing the constitution he would just do it anyway. Oh yes very legitimate.
I fear that much of the retoric coming from this administration is more of the same pandering to despots of the past. They envy the power these evil people wield and wish to attain it for themselves. It is interesting how the wonder of Democracy is being depicted now by this administration. In Iran Democracy is the people with all the guns just decide who wins and any opposition is just killed. In Honduras Democracy is the law breaking leader must be returned to power since he has the support of other dictators and a mob on his side.

I can just see B.O. …..His eyes glazed over in thought. I wonder what was going through his mind as the reports read that; Zelaya was overthrown in a dawn coup on Sunday after he angered the judiciary, Congress and the army by seeking constitutional changes that would allow presidents to seek re-election beyond a four-year term. He must have been mystified!! Knowing this, one can see how he would be upset at this news. He will not let an emergency go to waste though, he will have a czar appointed to work on the situation and report back to him.

My only hope and prayer, is that we can pass this down to our children that it wont be FORGOTEN. To never let Politicians DEVIDE us. I always wondered when I was in high school what it was like to go throught what our Founders went through. I never thought that I would actually almost have to relive what they went through then.

Never mind the details of of the overthrown, punish the opposition just like Iran.
    Obama's is Jimmy Cater's protege.
    They play follow the dictator.
    Guess I made another list.

  74. RNHunter says:

Well that is clear. Like many on the far left Obama is quite happy with the dictatorship in the Muslim World where he bowed a bit, and friends with Communist dictators. But he seems to not have an interest in allowing people to seek democracy or freedom. His continued attacks on Fox News and Rush Limbaugh he clearly does not believe in freedom of speech, and the department of homeland security calls protesters terrorists meaning he also does not believe in freedom of assembly. Seems a trend.

  75. Hobbes says:

Obama is upset because he doesn't like coups that throw out leaders who, like him, want to rule for life. He hates constitutions and he hates the limits that they put on the leaders. He hates them because they protect the people from the government. He prefers that they protect government from the people.

  76. bamaboy says:

Why can't the people of this country come together and run Obama out of office.Every where I go he is hated bitterly. He was voted in by the blacks they are still bitching about slavery well they are going to get a taste of it with this man. These people voted for color of skin they are so stupid they walked right into a trap.I wish Obama would go back to Africa where all they do is fight and he damn well might get a fight here if he tries that communist crap on us ole country boys.

    • rob45 says:

      AMAN to that!!!!!

    • LesIsmore says:

Well, maybe in the KKK gatherings you attend he is hated. However the majority of Americans voted for President Obama and he still maintains approval ratings in the 60% range in spite of you and your racist friends.

Did you know that African Americans make up about 18% of the population in America. Do the math bamaboy (well last time I looked Alabama was in the running with Mississippi for the lowest educational levels in the US so maybe you should have someone do the math for you).

And you wonder why Glenn and others keep the nuts here at arms length???

      • bamaboy says:

You are crazy to not see what your leader is doing. As far as KKK gatherings when they were active you could go shopping without a gun.Well if african americans make up about 18% of the population you better go do some math. They have taken over every town and anything else they could.I did forget another large voter turn out for Obama that is queers which one do fit in dumb ass?

      • OldMarine says:

Why is it that the first thing that came to your mind was the KKK and racist. Just because people here and other Americans do not like BH0 or his policies, that doesn't mean we are racist, we are not like the sheeple, we think for ourselves. Whether you like it or not, there are people who don't like your BH0. So if your going to play the race card, go to MoveOn or Puffinton Post. Also, a finale note, you can call me racist if you want, it isn't going to bother me, I know what's in my heart and unless you have a special line to God, you don't. By the way, I HAVE A very strong dislike for BH0.

      • Hobbes says:

Whoa, Lesismore, throwing around the term "racist" is uncalled for. There is no doubt that Obama enjoys hatred from many more than the KKK for what he has done and what he is preparing to do. There is also no doubt that polling is beginning to reflect that. Comparisons of "strongly approve" vs. "strongly disapprove" began this year 16 percentage points in Obama's favor. The differential has fallen rather steadily down to 11, then to 5 and then to 0. In the most current polls the tide has turned. It is now -2. It will continue to fall as he provides more reasons to "strongly disapprove".

Beyond that, while it certainly took more voters than the 18-20% black population to arrive at the 52% of the vote which elected him, it is absurd to suggest that the color of his skin didn't make the difference. The idiots who were swayed by the media to try to atone for their "white guilt" and the massively ignorant 18-25 age group "educated" to see our country in a negative light, made the difference. Barnaboy called them stupid. As Obama's actions and goals domestically and internationally unfold, more and more people seem to agree with that assessment. Perhaps someday you'll wake up and agree too. Meanwhile, name-calling isn't charming and it reveals the weakness of your arguments.

    • pandabeads says:

no black people won't get a taste of it. White people will. I am not a conspiracy theorist type but I honestly believe Obama is setting this country up for genocide. I don't want to go their but his white hate rhetoric scares me. I am fed up with this country. Illinois has the worst DMV of any in the country. The roads stink. I am fed up with the taxes and taxes and taxes and hands held out. The only people I see needing wealth fare in congress and Obama. Oh yeah and the banks and GM and chrysler . But now we have the cap and trade the picture is comming together. I read in the convoluted bill that they are going to mandate electric cars from manufacturers. Who do you think that is? Also there is a mandate for a electric grid. Who do you think is getting that deal? GE perhaps. This is fascism we are now in the era of Hitler and people are sleeping. So when the red jackets brought to you by Americorp starts patrolling the neighborhoods then maybe someone will notice.

only to read further that we give them $50 million a year and want $70 million in 2010. WTF, all this…. "world aid" does nothing for our "standing" in the world and yet we borrow from OUR children to fund this BS.

"All of us are happy — Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds on this day," Waleed al-Bahadili said as he celebrated at the park. "The Americans harmed and insulted us too much."…….

While the U.S. troop surge strategy was successful in stemming the bloodshed, many Iraqis also saw it as an affront to their national pride…….

On a visit to Ramadi, a Sunni city 70 miles west of the capital, Interior Minister Jawad al-Bolani, a Shiite, told the AP that when the sun rises on Tuesday "Iraqi citizens will see no U.S. soldiers in their cities. They will see only Iraqi troops protecting them."

We, as citizens of this great country, have been Bambooseled, by the strong left leaning national news media, as well as people that are in the headlines for acting, music, comedy, etc., most of which are radical left ringers that push for Nut Jobs like Obama. Zelaya, in office since 2006, was overthrown in a dawn coup on Sunday after he angered the judiciary, Congress and the army by seeking constitutional changes that would allow presidents to seek re-election beyond a four-year term.

it seems to me that the Obama administration is also seeking ways to extend the term of the Obamanator, maybe they don't want us getting any ideas from our friends south of the border

In my understanding, the Honduran military took down the leader because he was undermining the current state's constitution. Correct me if I'm wrong. Zeleya, in a nutshell, was a socialist that was turning the country into another Venezuela…and that is another reason why he was ousted…again, correct me if I'm wrong.

But hopefully the military leaders return power to the people.

      • winecup says:

I believe you are correct on this one, atticus. Why the shock? Is this not what you expect? Power already returned to the people, in my understanding of the situation.

  84. Nomarxism says:

Obviously this country felt this was appropriate for a "leader" who is working to undermine the national constitution. Of course Obam would feel this is not acceptable LOL

I wonder when the press will admit that the emperor has no clothes?

    • winecup says:

Well put Nomarxism; naked as a jay bird. (Where does that saying come from? Every jay bird I've ever seen has beautiful plumage, belying the bird's true nature.)

  85. Why would anyone want to lead a country that hates them and doesn't want you there. Problem with a dictator is no one wants him there but other dictators.

  86. Boopster says:

Have finally figured out Obama’s foreign policy, do the exact opposite of President Bush., then blame him for it because it happened in the first place.

The Obama administration's stance contrasted with the equivocal position taken in 2002 by former President George W. Bush's administration, which was seen as tacitly accepting a coup against Venezuela's leftist President Hugo Chavez.

    • Vindex22 says:

one good thing, come next election (i hate to think that long) but BHO will not be able to use the "Blame Bush" policy.

maybe the brain washed liberals who now realize thay were "duped" will hold BHO accountable.

    • Gregory says:

Right on the mark Boop! You ever listen to Barney Frank try and complete a sentence without the name Bush in it? All the crap we are getting into now has only one mans fingerprints on it, and it ain't Bush.

      • Boopster says:

Frank is a fool he recently defended ACORN by pointing out under the Bush administration they received federal funding! In comparison to the funding they are receiving now the prior amount was minuscule. He should be removed from office.

    • knutjb says:

Don't forget he changed the world with his speech in Egypt and thus automatically the sole source of all that is good in the universe. It's why the Iranians are having so much trouble, if they'd only listen to the anointed one all would be calm and butterflies.

  87. texray says:

Agreeing with Chavez and Castro is all one needs to know about Barry's true beliefs.

  88. Terri Rolan says:

The Legislative and Judicial branches of the Honduran government have courage – something that Obama (aka His Imperial Highness) fears that our Congress and Judiciary might, someday, recognize and actually exhibit. His cozy relations with Chavez might well include advice on following his friend's example of destroying his own country's constitution to perpetuat another Imperial Presidency…..right here.

    • winecup says:

It is possible, I suppose, that news of the goings on of our Founding Fathers in early Colonial America was considered by Britons like Iran or Honduras. Can you imagine Britons reading the news and thinking of it much like many here are probably right now viewing this civil unrest in third world countries. Does the fact that we are not arising in the streets to protect our constitution speak more that we have gained a higher civility, or a more flaccid temperament?

  89. Jaopfer says:

I am sure this man, with his eyes on changing the country's constitution, would be a role model for BHO. I love the way the military took him and put him on a plane to Costa Rica in his PJs. Would BHO like a magical mystery tour? oh oh I typed the quiet bit out loud again…

    • Zymogene says:

I had to to give a kudos myself for them. I wish we could do the same.

      • winecup says:

And just at a time we are watching re-runs of Michael's legal ordeals when he was going to court in pajamas.

I was listening to the news of Madoff's sentencing today and found myself drifting into a daydream, imagining the whole darned lot of them doing a perp walk…. soon!

      • kwicgov55 says:

We can dream can't we Zymogene.

  90. lnbarnes says:

Excuse me, but Zalaya is a poster child for Hugo Chavez, so why are we giving all this money to Honduras when they want to be just like uncle Hugo. This seems absolutely preposterous.

  91. Jerseygal says:

Apparently BH0 and Hillary are no longer speaking……wonder what happened. To say anything stern about Iran's protests was 'meddling,' yet siding with Chavez and Castro is what – diplomacy? There is a village in Kenya missing it's idiot.

  92. I pray, almost every day, that our military takes the same action.

  93. Once a commie always a commie, but the idots did want change. From freedom to slavey what a change they are getting!

    • Nomarxism says:

They were all about supporting our new president and did not read through his rhetoric (lies). Sadly most will never admit that they made a mistake. All of Obamas support must be removed during the 2010 election or this country will cease to exist as we know it. Of course, he will probably use the trillions stolen from the country to help ensure his parties continued reelection.

  94. markm5 says:

FYI…anything BHO says or does is very likely an intentional misdirect of his true intentions…his intentions are….how to control you.

    • Jerseygal says:

And his control will increase with Crap&Tax, and even more with gov't run health care! Americans better wake up and stop the insanity!

  95. Well..I thought a country that has had freedom for the greater part of 200 years would applaud when another government ousted its leader because they weren't following the country's constitution. I guess I was wrong.

I'm just curious as to why Obama waited a full day after the events happened to release a comment. Chavez and the Colombian president condemned the coup pretty much as it was happening.

  96. winecup says:

I am not sure I can even follow what the heck you are saying here atticus….

  97. You know what, I don't even know where I'm going with this lol

  98. winecup says:

THAT's funny. I appreciate your honesty, atticus.

  99. Gregory says:

That is exactly why Obama is passing all this "DON'T ASK, DON'T READ" legislation, He knows that come midterm, his fragile grasp at all encompassing power will fade. As the midterms get closer, watch for more radical and militaristic attempts at grabbing power.

  100. knutjb says:

But Obama believes if they listened to him the world would change for the better, that's why he talked the Iranians before the election, guess he thought was Reagan or something. He has this little problem, those ideals might sound great in the classroom or in community organizing, they don't work in practical application in the real world. You're correct, he is changing the world, for the worse.

  101. Hobbes says:

The same guy offers up the same bill at every new Congressional session for the last ten years or more. Sure it stands a better chance under the current administration than it ever has in the past, but I can't list it specifically among my top ten fears for now.

  102. OldMarine says:

Most of it makes sense after all need we remind you of a comment made by your beloved leader in Colodor Springs last year.
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."……..Barack Obama
And ACORN recieves 2.7 billion, with a B. Excuse me, but if it looks like a dictator wanna be, talks like a dictator wanna be, it must be a dictator wanna be.

  103. bamaboy says:

I never ask you into this argument.I just have my opinion about Obama carring the black vote and he did.I do wish he would go back to Africa. He is dangerous to this country.Birmingham' crime rate is very high. When I go to the doctor I have to carry a gun because of car jackers and muggings.I am a old man and can not run or fight so I shoot.I was approached by a black man in the medical clinic wanting me to give him money.I have no use for any thug 99% of the crimes around here is done by blacks. If you do not like my opinion go some where else.Get off that fense and choose who side you are on.I will back Palin if you people will not.I will go now I have a garden to work that is more than the thugs will do.I have to go to work you can go to hell!

  104. dmacdaddy30 says:

I am ending this stupid argument now, but know this I am not democrat and have never been (I married one). I have been involved with Republican politics for over twenty years. I was ten when I started working on helping a campaign for an Indiana Governor. My mom use to work for a republican Mayor of Indianapolis and a good family friend is now the Republican Governor of Indiana. My point is that your comment seemed to be racist and I still believe that you intended it that way. I am not defending Less is more beliefs but the fact it seemed your statement was racist. Again if it is not, then state it, but in all of your rant you have not.

Oh by the way when ACORN signs the same people up to vote over and over again it is VOTER REGISTRATION FRAUD not VOTER FRAUD! As of right now there is no proof of voter fraud. I am not saying there could not have been, but right now we have to go on facts and the facts state they are charged with Voter Registration Fraud.

  105. dmacdaddy30 says:

You mention Palin and her being blasted by the media and I agree with you on that it is uncalled for when we have so much else to worry about in the world However, don't forget it is McCain's camp and Romney's former campaign managers that started this issue. You talk about not wanting a Castro like government, don't forget it was Bush that help started these bailouts. Don't forget it was also John McCain that voted for the bailouts and would have signed the Cap and Trade. I agree with you all of this wasteful spending needs to stop as well and so does this contant growth of Government. However both parties were taking us there. We as a nation have to educate people why this is bad and true freedom is the best for all of us. Get rid of Big Government and Big Business interest then we can get back to living free. Keep both of them and we are treading water between the two parties.

  106. kwicgov55 says:

Jaopfer, the things that Obama has done in just the 6-months he has been in office are terrifying to me. I think that many of us here are still in shock over the things that Obama has done. I believe that our American spirit is alive and well and we will fight for our country. It's our people that has made us great. I have to believe that we will do whatever it takes to keep Obama or anyone else from taking our freedom away.

  107. Zymogene says:

Ya….atleast for now. Wonder when they will take that away?

  108. Zymogene says:

Oh, I was dreaming as well……they always say the truth comes out in the end…..and I'm just praying to see it happen. This was a start, but we haven't scratched the surface.

  109. kwicgov55 says:

They can never take our hopes and dreams away Zymogene if we refuse to give them up.
