I didn't watch it, and I would not have watched it. The cards were stacked only towards Obama, and his ABC crew.
How can we get the facts, when Obamacrats only give their convoluted stories, with the drive to spend more money, and shutting out the facts from the other side! This is supposed to be America, not some dictatorship in Iran, or China, or North Korea, or a host of other countries that see things differently then we do. Or at least the way we used to see things before Obama.

This article is about Healthcare, but it could be Cap-and-Trade, or the Fairness Doctrine, or the Cardcheck fiasco, and so many more programs coming down the pipeline from the Obamacrats useless spending habits!

  2. Coffee_hound says:

Instead of leading.. Obama Carter just keeps campaigning…and campaigning..his brain is so cemented I don't think this robot in chief can thaw out from campaign mode. The American people can only handle so much.

  3. JamesMcC10 says:

The "Hood Winked" Dems that followed bho as though he was their "chosen one" are turning on him…………… like a rabid dog on it's master. As time passes………….. the rabid Dems will be his demise. So here I sit (I'm not totally sitting….. I'm doing the Stamp Peeve)…………. waiting for the wheel to fall of the SOCIALIST RACE CAR.

  4. ChrisTyd says:

It appears that most people had better things to do with their time. I was much to busy to care what his newest lie is. Since I learned that ABC became the All Barack Channel I have since boycotted the network.

  5. JDAngel(FL) says:

Well MJ, you beat out BO congratulations. Rest in peace.

  6. It's too the point I rarely or NEVER watch Network TV anymore! ABC, CBS, and NBC are all in on it with Lord Obama and I refuse to watch anything on their crappy channels! By boycotting these channels, we will hurt them where it counts….in Ad revenue!

  7. poorboy says:

ABC feel the pain. We will use our wallets and purses as often as you allow us to show you that you will not force this crap down our throats. There are no cool aid drinkers in this house and you cannot make us drink it. Mark it on the calender becuse you have just waisted another day of your last term. I'm proud to be associated with Americans, not republicans or democrats but Americans. We have the oportunity to have real change now that BHO has awaken the sleeping giant and more is to come. Stay focussed and don't let them drag us down, we will survive and come back with a vengance.

  8. MadinMaurice says:

I refused to watch his glorified healthcrap plans. He and the cess pool he works with will still receive their "golden" plans while we will be given rationed care. A bunch of tyranical, fascists pigs!!!!!

  9. SandraEileen says:

If this isn't a wake up call for all of us to take better care of ourselves, I don't know what is. I now have a heart condition due to the fact that I let a case of strep throat go on too long. I thought it was just a sore throat. I have since gone back to the gym and I am now watching my diet and learning about better health through food and herbs. I know some medical issues just can't be avoided, but to all my fellow patriots on this site please take good care of yourselves, our country needs you!

  10. poorboy says:

We need more of this and don't forget GE, they are a big part of the problem.

  11. bunnyma5 says:

Unless and until Congress and the President join the same identical plan Obama is touting I won't listen…this is a shell game to only benefit BHO's supporters, not the general public….Yes, Virginia, the Emperor isn't wearing any clothes….we see him and his policies for what they are: Smiling Fascism..

  12. gragar says:

Our local GOP had a health care forum last night and it was very enlightening (Not that I needed any). There was a great trunout and people in my county are looking forward to our next tea party – July 2.

Obama and his croanies have got to understand people are fed up with him and his administration. I am SICK of seeing him and hearing him.

Way to go Americans – keep that TV turned off when he's on. It is very telling though less than 5 million viewers – Could the party be over?

  13. Barb66 says:

I am a retired RN. and know about national health care from my Canadian friends. Their statement to me is"I hope you guys don't get nationized health care as we won't have anywhere to go for our uncoveded long waiting line we have here." I had a friend die up there waiting for by-pass surgery. She was 69 years old. Get the picture folks. BHO knows what he is proposing is just this and he is lying to us.

  14. eeein says:

If tyranny and oppression come to this land it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.
    – James Madison. WHY DOES OBAMA HAVE SUCH A "SOFT-LINE" STANCE TOWARDS OUR OBVIOUS ENEMIES? Could he be using the Sun Tzu idea that All war is based on deception? Could Obama be baiting our enemies by having them believe that Obama would not take any strong action against them??? SO LET'S SAY THAT OABAM IS BAITNG OUR WORLD ENEMIES. After n. korea attacks the across the dmz, chavez invades another south American country, or Obama forces Israel to take action on it s own to defend itself and starts a war In the middle east, HOW WILL OBAMA RESPOND??? Will Obama do a complete 180 degree turn and take a hard-line stance toward our enemies??? Of course this may be welcome at first by many Americans. Obama will start talking like an American patriot and sending our military to defend freedom throughout the world. Of course fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq and now a third conflict will strain the US economy to the brink. THEN OBAMA WILL TAKE ALL THE NECESSARY STEPS TO SECURE VICTORY. He will use the idea of defending freedom throughout the world against us and use it to take away our own freedom here in the the US by taking control of anything and everything he deems necessary; control of all industry, banking, rationing of food and gasoline, etc, etc. “It is a paradox that every dictator has climbed to power on the ladder of free speech. Immediately on attaining power each dictator has suppressed all free speech except his own.” …Herbert Hoover.

  15. JShope says:

Even though the White House was able to hand select every reporter, attendee, and question, it is comical how difficult it was for the President to be straightforward in his answers.

The most enlightening moment was when he was asked to ensure that whatever health care he foists upon the rest of us be the same health care he would give his own family. By his own admission, he would not give that assurance. Rather, he insisted that his family would continue to get the best care possible.

What do you think of that?

  16. JAC60 says:

People are sick of seeing his face on tv. People are hurting, scared, angry. They want to see entertainment and a respite from the economic woes when they turn on the tv.

  17. Texan2 says:

I watched paint dry. The paint didn't lie to me, try to control me or take my freedoms away from me, it was time better spent.

  18. winecup says:

Jerseygal: I think I misquoted Rush. I think he said: neither has a birth certificate, not passport.

  19. I refused to even watch it. Thank God for Tivo so I could record Wipeout and I Survived a Japanese Game Show (both on before the infomercial) so I could fast-forward through the endless commercials about how awesome this would be. Thankfully those are the only two shows I watch on ABC so I wasn't bombarded by it all week. Come to think of it, I don't even know what other shows they have on that station. :)

My view on public health care is fairly unique. My wife and I both have actual experience with a public plan. My wife is from Poland and she had to go to the state run facilities and I will leave out the colorful metaphors she used to describe them. When I told her about Obama's non-answer on whether he would use the public system or not she was not surprised by his answer. In Poland they have the public and private option as well. The public is for the peasants like us and the private is for the lords and ladies. She said it is completely normal for the rich and powerful to have better care and it always irked her that her family had to wait months or years for things while a soccer player or politician was bumped to the front of the line all the time. If this gets passed we have this to look forward to.

I was also a victim of the public plan. When I was laid off and my Cobra insurance ran out I was forced to go to the Harris County Hospital District in Houston Texas for healthcare. I have serious medical problems so I had to use them quite frequently. In order to see any specialist I needed to see a general practitioner first. To see a GP it took 4-6 months. I was then referred to a specialist for another 3-4 month wait. I was never able to choose my appointment date or time because the doctors were only there on certain days. So if I had to miss work it was my problem. Another thing to look forward to is that it took on average 4-5 hours to work my way through a doctor's appointment from check-in to check-out. I dealt with this for over 5 years because I was a student and wasn't able to work full-time. I could list hundreds of other problems but you see my point.

I contrast this by my private healthcare today. When my insurance went active on May 1st, I saw a GP on the 6th. I was able to see a specialist (Electrophysiologist – someone who studies the electricity of the heart) in 2 weeks. He found that the public doctors didn't configure an implanted device correctly so I was in an operating room 5 days later. Now I am feeling much better and I have true doctor choice and can choose my own appointment time. Since May 1st I have had 4 doctor's appointments and 3 of them were specialists. Yeah, I am really looking forward to the public plan.

My family has "boycotted" ABC since the news of this came out. I try (not altogether successfully!) to teach my teenage boys that sometimes chosing whether to spend your dollar, or in this case not watching a particular channel, is the only weapon that each of us have as individuals to support our own convictions.

DO IT TODAY, tomorrow will be TOO LATE!!!!!

  23. fmb501 says:

I especially liked the part where Obama wouldn't pledge to abide by the same limitations that would be imposed on us "little people" by nationalized health care if his family wasn't getting the best medical treatment.

    • gragar says:

      He is so arrogant.

    • 357ben says:

Hey, hey, hey, your really expecting the important people in Washington to abide by the rules they set for us? Let's not get crazy here!

ALL the self important rejects in Washington,, NEED TO BE FIRED!!! They have ALL forgotten who they work for, THEY WORK FOR US!!!!!

  25. Jerseygal says:

I cancelled AllBarackChannel with my satellite TV provider a few days ago. I just wonder how the narcissist has taken the news that comedy and CSI reruns were more preferable than his infomercial! And as for any momentum he may have gained, well, the deaths of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson (thoughts and prayers to their families) has kicked the infomercial way off the front page. Poor BH0 – he just cannot control everything after all. He must be smoking' out those big ears!

    • cajunpatriot says:

Know what you mean, if it wasn't for local news (hurricane season) and that I'm a HUGE football fan I wouldn't have any of the broadcast channels on the satellite. Every once in a great while I turn on the national news and within about 2 minutes I'm starting to get sick to my stomach and within about 5 min I can't take any more and have to change the channel.

      • Jerseygal says:

I'd have the broadcast channels, but all I can get are the NY and LA (Fox News & FBN provide my national and global news), nothing localized, so I really do not care, especially since BH0 has turned them into his personal press corps.

    • winecup says:

Jerseygal: Right you are. I occasionally get to hear Rush. Yesterday I heard a promo piece of his while I was driving. I was surprised to hear this out of Rush's mouth, but it's a sign of the times:

"How are God and Barak Obama the same? Neither have a passport."
"How are God and Barak Obama different? God doesn't think he's Barak Obama."

    • GodHelpUsAll says:

I have too. I don't even have the local channels or cnn programed in my remote any more. What's the point? When I want news, or truth I'll turn on Fox.

      • Jerseygal says:

And more and more Americans are turning to Fox for their news. Yet BH0 still boycotts and picks on the network. We are showing him that he remains powerless over the majority!

  26. How about those numbers? Just a little over 4 million viewers. He was beat out by a repeat of CSI. Well Mr. President, take a couple of notes. You have worn yourself and your welcome out. You have pushed and pushed and we are now pushing back. Any bets on who wins? You stand before us and talk as though we are ignorant. This may be so, based on your election. What you don’t seem to fully grasp in your narcissistic fog is that We the People would prefer to manage things ourselves over your visions to instill soft tyranny. Enjoy your one term as the trifling hoard that elected you along with your state media will provide you comfort but will not deliver your re-election.

  27. OldMarine says:

I wondering did anybody get the 1-800 number, so we can get in on the special deal, and will they send us another item for the special low cost, all we have to do is pay shipping? Oh, sorry, it was "dear leader", not the Sham-wow guy, frankly I beginning not to be able to tell the difference. Actually, I have figured out BH0, he is a flash back to the old west. The snake oil salesman, guarentee to destroy your way of life, guarntee to destroy the finest medical system in the world, quarntee to destroy America.

    • Jerseygal says:

      LOL – new nickname for BH0 – O-Sham-wow! He is a charlatan!

    • That offer isn't valid anymore, you had to order within 10 minutes to get the free onion slicer. :)

    • Hobbes says:

      OldMarine,

LOL! Hard to laugh these days. Unfortunately, it's really not a joke, it's the truth. The Chicago thug IS out to destroy America and all of us along with it. This is just a nightmare!

    • poorboy says:

Man you hit it on the nose, snake oil salesman. Watered down this and watered down that. Get it now while it's still on the shelf. Well said and thanks I needed that as well.

    • cherokee1241 says:

(BH0, he is a flash back to the old west. The snake oil salesman)
new century differant name for snake oil salesman PITCHMAN

      (BHO=pitchman)

as seen on tv never trusted what pitchmen are selling I figure if the product is any good word of mouth is the best seller

Who spoke last night, darn I missed it.
I think that many people are right when they say, don't listen to what he says, watch what his other hand is doing.
These people are always trying to deflect attention from the real issues, hello Cap and Trade.

  30. RNHunter says:

I only watch the man personally when I want to see what he is NOT going to do. I call him opposite man. He promised low taxes to 95%, well only 14% now believe that, he promised 48 hours minimum on bills, but now ensures usually less than 24 so no one can read them, he promised bi-pratisanship yet I have never seen such partisan nonsense in all of my life. He promised the cleanest admin and that is the biggest laugh of all with 4 tax cheats, lobbyists, an Acorn group he gives billions to ($53 million was the total for the decade before) who is accused of voter registration fraud in 14 states and refuses to show its books. He promised to balance the budget yet we are trillions over budget and he does not even slow down. IRS income is down in April 34% due to his attacks on capitalism, unemployment is 9.4% and rising, something he promised would not happen, and now he wants cap and trade to double our energy bills and drive more people jobless. And he wishes to take a bow?

  31. Shadrach says:

I did not watch the nonsense, so I cannot give an accurate take on it!! With the dismal ratings we can only hope there is an awakening to his lies and rhetoric across America. This does not mean the legislation will not pass, because he has so much momentum built up and it will take time to slow him down!! But look at the destruction he has caused, simply because no one stopped to read and think!!! May God help us all!!!

  32. kwicgov55 says:

I could not bring myself to listen to that arrogant, puffed up buffoon spread his propaganda! Obama's Town Hall meetings are a joke. The participants are hand picked and I have to wonder if the questions they ask are to. As for ABC, I hope to see them go the way of the dinosaur. And the "UPDATE: ABC points out that "Questions for the President" continued after the local news during late night on "Nightline" (4.3 million) and helped boost the news program to pull more viewers than CBS' "Late Show" and NBC's "Tonight Show." Yes ABC, we all know that Letterman has been rabidly popular since his nasty joke about the Palin's daughters. And who knows how popular the Tonight Show is now that Jay Leno is gone. Out of the About 113 million U.S. households own a TV, according to market researcher Nielson Co., only 4.3 million watched Obama! Yea ABC, that shows real support for Obama and his health plan. To me the Change You Can Believe In is fast becoming The Change we Can't Believe!

  33. carrieanne says:

I was at a Tea Party meeting, it wasn't until about halfway through anyone even thought to mention we were missing the infomercial..a little chuckle went up, and we continued on.

  34. jwjcc1 says:

For as many as people there are who wait with anticipation for BHO's next recycled socialist policy, there are twice the number who could care less; and even more by the day who cant wait to vote his as* out of office. Dont worry ABC, its not that your programming is weak, and your network news sucks–its just that Americans are not as stupid as the executives who run your company.

  35. Del47 says:

bottom line who cares, ABC pimped themselves to the white house for ratings just like NBC and CBS. In my opinion there as incredible as the enquirer

  36. I tried to watch it, but was also mindful that I did not want to give this one more viewer than it should have had. What I heard didn't disappoint. The man is a gifted speaker, but he still didn't provide anything concrete, and his assurances are meaningless. Legislation often has unintended consequences, and i frankly don't trust our Congress to keep this program under wraps. Every entitelment program has expanded over time to the bloated ones they now comprise.

Medicare/Medicaid -, a known crisis and a perfect example of what lack of fiscal discipline and lack of foresight will do. Currently, insolvent in 2017 and has a current $36 trillion in unfunded liabilites. And we want to add more to this burden? That alone, other than the "efficiencies" (a buzz word for reducing costs/accessbility) threatened by BHO in this program, and the fact that govt has no business being in business is enough for me to say "NO".

  37. knutjb says:

I watched it for my better judgment. I learned absolutely nothing from it. The program only reinforced my belief to what a sham this is. All the questions were staged. They played some bleeding heart stories and Obama had the answer, well ok, he had vague generalities. My wife laughed at me for yelling at the tv, well it was an add promoting Obama's plan counter to ABCs "IDEALS".

In the end all Obama could say was tax the rich, until there are rich no more…. Well he did say tax the rich.

  38. Jared says:

My view is we first need to address immigration and stop the free flow of people illegally coming into this country before we can realistically pass any form of sustainable social program. Secondly, we need to change the current socail programs so that they wont bankrupt the country. Third, we need to become more strict on frivulous lawsuits that cost the private healthcare sector hundreds of billions every year. Finally and only with those steps first taken we can take a realistic approach to reducing the cost of healthcare.

  39. Jared says:

Of the 46 million people uninsured 2/3rds already have access to insurance with existing programs. A large part of this group are labled as the "invincibles". They are age 24 to 31 and they feel like they have no need for insurance so choose not to get it from their employers. Another big group makes over $50,000 a year and could reasonably afford a good insurance plan. As proof I am self employed and dont make that much and I can afford it. Another group of the 46 million need only go to their local Health and Human Services office and sign a paper and they could receive Medicare (an existing program, not a sustainable one under its current conditions). One of the biggest groups of this 46 million is illegal immigrants who shouldn't really even be considered eligable unless they enter the country legally.

  40. Jared says:

One good thing I heard was this. Obama stated if something isn't done about healthcare soon Medicare and Medicade will go bankrupt, so not doing anything isn't an option. Same thing he always says but he actually through in that Medicare and Medicade would go bankrupt. What common sense tells me is that maybe its Medicare and Medicade that need reform first and then we can look at reducing the cost of healthcare. Government has created a problem and instead of fixing the problem they created they want to change something that works pretty good right now to cover their problem up.

    • DMN says:

You're using logic….you KNOW Obomba can't stand that. He always goes for EMOTION!! Of course, Obama shows no emotions whatsoever, but he always goes for saying things that SCARE people.

    • OldMarine says:

Medicare and Medicaid IS bankrupt. Just like social security, now he wants to do the same thing to the entire medical profession and eventually to America.

  41. Jared says:

I watched this against my better judgement. One I didn't want to give the ratings to ABC and two I didn't want my blood pressure to spike by listening to the same pandering and many times same answers that Obama always gives. Nevertheless I tuned in more with an experimental state of mind than anything else. I just wanted to see if the coverage would be fair and non-biast….for once. I have to say that there were some good questions but not great questions. Not one put Obama on the spot to give any real facts so once again we are just left with theoretical ideas that may or may not work. I am also no expert but I got the feeling that Obama's version of what healthcare will be is a watered down version of what will actually tried to be passed through the house and senate.

  42. Hobbes says:

I didn't watch it, however, I've heard parts of it and the drift I get from it is that we need to find out what age is considered too old for pace makers. If Obama thinks a 100 year old woman who has good "spirit" and able to survive the operation is too old and should have just been given pain killers, then what age is appropriate? 60, 40, 30? Also, according to Obama, we can't measure spirit. So, I guess " the will to live" doesn't matter in Obama World. But, where's the outrage from the media about this. Crickets!

Who does he think he is. He states that he will ALLOW us to have private insurance. (As though that will be even possible if he gets his way.) He may think he's King Of The World, but he's not. He works for us, not the other way around.

Obama gave out false information and refused to answer the hard questions. Such as, "wouldn't you want the best coverage for your family". He never really answered the question, just left the impression that Obamacare will decide who lives and dies. A very cold and calculated response.

Got this idea from Rush today:

Call your reps. and ask them if they will change to Obamacare. If they won't, tell them you won't either. If it's not good enough for them, then it's not good enough for you. And, don't let them get away without answering. They owe us an answer.

    • RNHunter says:

I lived in England and saw that first hand in their system. If you need an operation, your choices may be to wait endlessly in a long bureaucratic list and maybe die, or just do what you did before, which is pay for it all yourself, this time with no insurance since you didnt think you needed any. One car we bought over in the UK was from an elderly couple selling their car to get a kidney operation so they could stay alive. I dont know why people in the US dont see this. They could listen to Daniel Hannen from the UK trying to warn us (he is on U tube) or one could just watch Benny Hill reruns which often made fun of UK public health.

      • Hobbes says:

        RNHunter,

Yes, this is very, very scary! I just can't understand how people can be so blind as to what is happening. There are testimonies everywhere addressing how bad government health care is. It just doesn't work. We have the best health care in the world and our own Government wants to ruin it. We're going to be paying for our own demise.

      • Jerseygal says:

Thanks for reminding me about Benny Hill – great idea to give one some perspective, with entertainment!

I live near the Canadian border, and many Canadians come here for their health care, because it is either too long a wait, or simply not available.

    • winecup says:

I heard Rush yesterday speak of the death of the public's spirit. I have said this before and had a strong negative reaction from this site, along the lines of "they'll never beat down MY spirit!" As RNHunter said, one just has to look at England. I saw the life go out of ppl's spirit in England en-masse. He also talked of the slump on the economy due to a "what's the point" effect. I can vouch for that, too. I sell supplemental health insurance. While we are actually selling more than ever, because ppl see they are going to need it just as much, if not more, with any meddling that the govt does, the "what's the point" wants to creep into the psyche's of even the best salesperson when your livelihood is so threatened. You're right. All call your reps.

  43. gk4freedom says:

Hmmm….Diane Sawyer in a cheerleading outfit with pom poms would have been a nice touch…And life seems to have treated Charlie Gibson well…he's put a lttle weight on….and that's about all that I was able to glean from this farce…

  44. 357ben says:

I was too busy watching the Brewer game, to watch the loser's infomercial!! Hey the Brewer's won!!

    • RNHunter says:

Yeah, right. You only watch the Brewers games since at home the nice ladies have a cute sausage costume race during the 7th inning stretch. Hmmm. Maybe I am wrong there, that might be why I watch the Brewers not you.. Sorry.

      • 357ben says:

Gotta love the Sausage race!! Almost every ballpark has some sort of race now, they pale in comparison to the Sausage race!!

    • OldMarine says:

I was busy reading more important things, postings on 912. Gee the informatione here was more enlightening and intelligent then what was on A ll B arry C rap.

  45. cajunpatriot says:

Like I was going to miss LSU win a national championship in baseball so I could hear obama lie and stumble his way through this. I don't think so. Anyway it seems at though Obama fatigue is setting in, we can only hope I guess.

  46. Maybe people are waking up. I sure hope so.

  47. DMN says:

Rome fell, as great as it was at one time. If our citizens are apathetic and uncaring about what happens in their country, I guess we are all going to experience how Rome felt as it fell. I don't know if there will be any way to recover from Obomba's actions if we can't stop him now.

  48. GodHelpUsAll says:

Again I agree Patriot. I think politicians are scared of the truth coming out. Why else would obama pay off these stations? He's hiding a lot more than we think.

  49. I humbly thank you. You are right. It is so much what's not said instead of what is with these people.
