We have been prepared long before oblabhamas took over. That doesn't mean he will have the backbone to do anything. After he cut the Military's budget……we "might" have a few pea shooter's left for back up…..thank God for that, it's better than nothing I 'spose.

  2. lnbarnes says:

The latest news report just a few minutes ago on Fox News sounded like the ship is headed to Myanmar with small arms, which are still considered contraband for Myanmar. The big question is will our ship attempt a boarding because Myanmar authorities certainly won't seize the cargo. It sound like it it finally getting close to time to make a decision OB?

  3. RageforOrder says:

I hope we are prepared, but I heard that Obama wants to cut defense spending.

  4. watman43 says:

nuke them now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! o lets wait and see if they hit us first.and dont forget if its only 5 killo tons we cant hit them with one bigger than that we will get in trouble by the UN for using excesive force

  5. lnbarnes says:

I think Kimmy is waiting for a 4th of July launch and I really think he is crazy enough to attempt it.

  6. lnbarnes says:

I would be willing to say that the NK ship is NOT carrying anything provocative or illegal. This is a red herring and nothing more. Kimmy wants OB to get froggy and seize the ship on the open seas. We should just let it dock in Singapore and have China seize the cargo, thus taking us more or less off the hook. We should also be prepared for an attack on Seoul and respond accordingly.

  8. gk4freedom says:

Prepared? so what? We are prepared to drill for our own oil, build our own nuclear plants, mine our own coal, and send little pip squeaks like Kim Jung IlL back to the stone age….America is PREPARED and CAN do a lot of things…it is the guy (Obama) who has to pull the trigger…. who is the problem.

  9. OldMarine says:

People, riddle me this, we have 19-20 days before the fourth of July, now as nuts as Kim sick is, does anyone here think that any quasi military leader would forecast a strike or even an attempted strike on a superior force. Looking at the facts, something just doesn't pass the smell test. I can think of no time in military history, except maybe the Alamo, where an attacking military force broadcast their intent. I have a feeling that Kim will back down. Then BH0, will come running out, teleprompt in hand, and tell the world that talking to the emeny is what prevented the launch, not our fine military. The other case is the or the missile will fail on launch pad, and everything will go on till the next crisis. Damn I'm tired of a new crisis everyday.

  10. redbudacres says:

    You're correct.
Every time he opens his mouth to "reassure" us, he never SAYS anything at all!!!

He probably thinks we're too dumb to understand his sweeping and grandiose plans for his new dominion.

I think reality may slap him in the face. Sooner hopefully, rather than later.

  11. gk4freedom says:

Here' s what happened when our commander-in-thief had his first baptism with a crisis at sea:
    1. BHO wouldn't authorize the DEVGRU/NSWC SEAL teams to the scene for 36 hours going against OSC (on scene commander) recommendation. 2. Once they arrived, BHO imposed restrictions on their ROE that they couldn't do anything unless the hostage's life was in "imminent" danger 3. The first time the hostage jumped, the SEALS had the raggies all sighted in, but could not fire due to ROE restriction 4. When the navy RIB came under fire as it approached with supplies, no fire was returned due to ROE restrictions. As the raggies were shooting at the RIB, they were exposed and the SEALS had them all dialed in. 5. BHO specifically denied two rescue plans developed by the Bainbridge CPN and SEAL teams 6. Bainbridge CPN and SEAL team CDR finally decide they have the OpArea and OSC authority to solely determine risk to hostage. 4 hours later, 3 dead raggies 7. BHO immediately claims credit for his "daring and decisive" behaviour. As usual with him, it's BS.
Can we expect any different next time around…something to think about.

  13. IronGauntlet says:

    Ready?
    Ready to what?
    Surrender?

    Obama's done absolutely NOTHING.
They could nuke the entire west coast. Obama'd go to the UN and cry about it.

  14. amendment1 says:

The military has assured us that we have the assets in place and the capability to shoot down any threat to Hawaii. If N Korea launches in the DIRECTION of Hawaii and BHO doesn't authorize the military to take it out then I think it may be the beginning of the end for Obama. His lack of response will be cannon fodder (pardon the pun) for everyone of us in this country that believes that National security is the number one concern facing us. Lets face it without strong national security all other problems facing the country could quite possibly be mute.

  15. discouraged says:

Lets hope that if it comes to it the President is ready, and not full of just the hot air we have been seeing from him lately

  16. SecretPolice says:

Hmmm, with BH0 as commander in chief, I think the waving of the white flag and the quick retreat of U.S. armed forces from the DMZ is what's being readied. I'm very perplexed on this subject.

Sadly and I mean sadly, we shall see.

  17. Docadams says:

This is off topic but also running under the radar:

    http://www.fema.gov/media/fact_sheets/nle09.shtm

National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09)
National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09) is scheduled for July 27 through July 31, 2009. NLE 09 will be the first major exercise conducted by the United States government that will focus exclusively on terrorism prevention and protection, as opposed to incident response and recovery.

This year the United States welcomes the participation of Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom in NLE 09.

  18. QuitePatriot says:

I have every confidence in our military…but zero in the President

  19. RNHunter says:

That Hawaii is safe might be a safe comment due to three items. One, we heard that the furthese range of N. Korea missiles is 4000 miles, and Hawaii is 4500 miles away. The second issue is that takes the N. Korean dictator out of a threatening role that he is quite good at and going to full war, in which there is no reason to believe he would be good at. But good for the US to add item three and send missiles to Hawaii to shoot down any missile just in case the N, Korean dictator has lost so many marbles he now thinks all out war is a fine idea. However, as the Democrats big push is to take evil killers from Gitmo and send them to US prisons where they will have air conditiioning, big screen tvs, computer systems and maid service (all a minor exageration) my guess is that no one who wishes to harm America has any reason to be concerned any more. They can only improve their lives.

Yes our Great Leader says he has a consensus! All is saved.

Only when the Chinese choose to throttle back on the gas, oil and other resources crossing the border will I even consider buying this tripe.

I do enjoy reliving Jimmy Carter foreign policy, a single home run, Egypt and Israel, and a big string of strike outs, Iran, creation of and emboldening modern terrorist, wiping out the CIA's HUMINT services, pleasing the Russians, and neutering of the military to name a few. Can't wait to see what Obama's home run might be, if at all…

  23. Rahthrae says:

President Obama assures us how ready we are to defend ourselves. He assures us via the deployment of missile defense programs he campaigned against saying they were not effective, and cost too much. Missile defense programs he began to cut, and wanted to do away with completely along with wanting to proceed with our unilateral disarmament to "lead the way" to a nuclear free lolly pop world. This man's rhetoric is simply verbal puke. No more. No less. This man is a vocal tumor of the progressive cancer killing this country. Sorry, I just get so annoyed by this man trying to BS us like we're morons. His getting away with it makes it unbearable at times.

  24. detestObama says:

WOW, Obama must be shining up his Tele-promter, for a new speech, perhaps the strongest terms yet to be spoken to the UN! "Please help our little country"!

  25. AmericanOnly says:

Yeah sure we are. He's been so truthful and forthcoming so far that this statement is believable… NOT!!

  26. "What we're not going to do is to reward belligerence and provocation in the way that's been done in the past," he said."
That inspires such confidence in me as this one simple sentence is full of contradiction. When NK launches missiles that it is forbidden to even have, detonates nuclear devices it's not supposed to have; then threatens a launch towards Hawaii – none of this is belligerent or provocative? Is there a different definition for either of these words that I'm unawar of?
We are rewarding this behavior by our inaction, by doing nothing and acting as if it's really nt a threat at all. Diplomacy requires the ability to connect with your opposite. In this case, diplomacy is impossible as the other side is unwiling and unable to engage in it.
Shott the missile down as soon as practicable, board the ship.

  27. pslwd says:

Obama better be right about this, but it does not look real encouraging. Obama cannot even voice strong support for the people willing to die in Iran. Right now, we are just following some ship around.

  28. SnowDogMom says:

Did anyone notice when the pirates where killed by our Navy Seals, the Capt of the ship never gave the President credit, He only thanked the seals? It took 17 phone called to get the permission from him and don't think the Seals never told the Capt that. This man in the White House has no spine, he will poop his pants if they shoot that missle off and it comes close to Hawaii. He will run like a scared rabbit. Anyone who has never served in the military has no idea what to do.

  29. Nomarxism says:

Omamassia is only ready to pander to his lazy , self-serving, irresponsible base who he will continue to use to try and destroy this country. The NK's are safe on his watch and they clearly know it.

  30. cherokee1241 says:

he is just going to send his teleprompter to do the talking for him

  31. bunnyma5 says:

And just how are we prepared? Our destroyer can't even board the ship to find what they are carrying without asking permission of N.Korea! Maybe he's planning to talk them to death, after first apologizing……

  32. midwestmomma says:

I have a particular song that runs through my head EVERY single time the POTUS speaks- The Music Man- Trouble in River City.. the ensemble chanting "trouble-trouble-trouble-trouble-trouble" Harold Hill (the flim-flam man convincing the townsfolk how the morality in their town is eroding….) Don't waste a crisis!

  33. htrn says:

"What we're not going to do is to reward belligerence and provocation," Obama told CBS.

Really? What has he been doing in the middle-east?

  34. ChrisTyd says:

BH0's assurances are as comforting as a pile of burrs. He takes credit where it is not due and points fingers when responsibility is required. America cannot survive him waffling on through this presidency.

  35. jerry0641 says:

I agree with McCain, we need to board the Korean ship and take any nukes that are board. Let's see what our alleged President does!

  36. Jerseygal says:

See? He is taking credit again. We are prepared, and it is none of his doing. In fact, it is the previous administration and the military who gets the credit! It is the military, the missile defense systems developed over the years, who are prepared, and since BH0 was busy cutting their budget, it is simply impossibe that he is responsibile for our preparedness! But the narcissist will take the credit anyway. Will Americans buy it? We'll see!

    • TJwasright says:

In response to your question "will Americans buy it?" I think the answer is yes, at least for the time being. After the tea parties on July 4th and Sept. 12 have occurred and the rest of the country sees fellow Americans willing to protest and also the reality of the looming health care albatross on our economy, some people may finally start waking up.

      • OldMarine says:

Gee a TEA party on the 4th and another on the 12th of Sept., by that time, America will be completely destroyed as a capitalist country, so lets all gather for the funeral on the 11th of Nov. That we we can celebrate the death of capitalism while at the same time honoring the vets who gave all to keep America free, just so sheeple can destroy it.WE have to keep email/snail mailing calling, whatever we can do to stop this destruction,

      • Jerseygal says:

Repubs would be wise to remind the people and the sheeple that Repub presidents are the ones who do not put our nation at risk by reducing our defenses. Reagan served during peace time, and strengthened our military while cutting taxes. We must find a way to articulate that message.

You are right, though, I spoke to people that marveled at how much BH0 is doing. My only comment is, wait till you get the bill, and remember, in less than 6 months he more than tripled out nation's debt. I must be careful at work, I do need my job – at least for now.

    • TJwasright says:

In response to your question "will Americans buy it?" (re: BHO's narcissistic actions) I think the answer is yes, at least for the time being. There's an awful lot of sheeple still out there. After the tea parties on July 4th and Sept. 12 have occurred and the rest of the country sees fellow Americans willing to protest and once the reality of the looming health care albatross on our economy has sunk in, some people may finally start waking up.

    • DonBCG says:

Well you are correct. The repubs do keep the peace. But these days the sheeple aren't worried so much about be killed from attack so much as they are about losing their right to free tv, cars, houses, and whatever entitlement they feel they have earned through birthright.

He will take credit not for the readiness but for how good he makes them feel about that check in the mail. The repubs are a lost cause and a pack of whimpie losers who need their momma to spank their asses. Conservatives and Libertarians will eventually gain power again but it will take 2 terms to correct this crap laid before us and our eternal offspring. Sad. I was once a free man.

      • Jerseygal says:

Don, he'll take credit for both. I refuse to give in to BH0's '2 terms' just yet. I am more focused on getting conservatives back in Congress next year, as well as conservative governors, and all other state, county and local officials. Dems will likely find their most moderate candidates to run on conservative issues in an effort to retain the party power. Repubs and conservatives better prepare for it.

  37. NancyNurse says:

Obama better be right. If one American dies as the result of a missile launch on American soil, his presidency will be over.

    • IronGauntlet says:

The democrat party will be over, too.

    • OldMarine says:

How naive can you be? If we get hit, BH0 and the teleprompter will get out there and by the time he gets finished speechifying, the American sheeple will believe its all Bush's and America's fault. The unions and Blacks will still think he is the One. At least he'll live up to one promise….Change. Change from a great country to a second rate dictorship at worst and banna republic at best, but the special groups will be protected.

  38. bikerchic says:

Oh gee, I feel so much safer now…
It's disturbing that everything POTUS says makes me inclined to believe the opposite.

  39. TJwasright says:

I currently live in one of the reddest of the red states and am constantly surprised at people I meet who are utterly convinced that BHO has only the best interests of the nation at heart. They are for the most part completely closed-minded and refuse to engage in a cursory collegial discussion of the issues. This is one of the reasons I've posted before that the Repubs could do themselves a world of good if they would train an army of people in useful tactics to get some dialogue going with the people in the middle who could possibly be enlightened. I'm convinced that there are such people out there but all they've been hearing for the last 9 years (really even longer than that) is the propaganda advanced on the airwaves. Many of the people I've encountered have completely forgotten about the Constitution; it's as those it's a relic of the American revolution that no longer has any bearing on the country. I tutor young people studying for the GED at the local literacy center; it's very enlightening to find out just how little working knowledge they have of the Constitution. As a baby boomer I was required to take a whole year of American government to graduate from high school; that seems to have been narrowed down to a semester now, and is mixed in with American history. It's no wonder the socialists are taking over.

  40. Jerseygal says:

I know exactly what you mean. Folks think he is so wonderful, he is doing so much, and I guess the American way has been spend now, worry about paying later. No wonder many of the people do not find the spending appalling. A large part of the problem is that history, and high school text books, are written by libs.
