  2. Dumb dumb dumb. We position a theater defense system in to catch a missile in reentry. Their launch is flat out illegal, it's announced that they intend on shooting it down range towards the neighborhood of Hawaii and this is the best we can come up with?

We should have the Aegis systems already deployed in the waters off NK, and have the capability to engage boost phase missiles do so. The act of launching a missile by NK is hostile – the act of taking it down is defensible and common sense.

but, after watching this well made video……. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVFdAJRVm94” target=”_blank”>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVFdAJRVm94 anything is truly possible!

    OBAMA

Only cracks down on conservative Americans- North Korea can nuke us if they want to.

Believes that OUR money is the cure for anything and everything- hands it out by thebushel as he prints more every day…inflation, anyone??

Always takes every opportunity to make friends with dictators, terrorists, tax-evaders, and radicals while dissing the once-friends of the United States.

Making his own shadow government and private military force, both of which will report directly to him.

Acorn is coming soon to your house to perform the census for Obama. Don’t be concerned that they are under indictment in several states….Obama isn’t worried about it, so why should YOU be??

Joe Biden warned us that within 6 months of his presidency, Obama would be tested. Well, here it is. This must be a planned attack by the administration; how else would Joe know about something happening within 6 months? The reason: destroy any evidence of Obama's "certificate of live birth" and be able to say "well, the real one was there. Prove it wasn't now."
So, take that all you 9/11 conspiracy nut jobs. The above scenario is more plausible due to the crazy s.o.b. running N. Korea than it is keeping thousands of American's to keep a little secret.

    • Shadrach says:

B.O.&Co. are using a playbook that was written well in advance. What is happening is something that was planned, and possibly years in the making, I believe. And if anyone disagrees that's fine. But the fact that we are being systematically herded toward fascism is very apparent in my opinion. Circumventing checks and balances put into place to prevent such wasteful spending supports this hypothesis, IMO. The ones writing and signing this legislation into law should be ashamed also. They are part and lot in the destruction of this country.

      • DMN says:

I believe you're right, Shadrach. There's no way an inexperienced "organizer" became President and could do all the things he's done to destroy the US without this being planned. That's why Obama is just a puppet hanging onto his teleprompter for dear life. Where Bush used to stress and have security meetings, Obama plays golf and does nothing until instructed on what he's supposed to say or do. Our country is in serious jeopardy. It's up to us to stop this madness before it's any more deeply embedded in our country.

Personally I see no positive end to the North Korean issue. In my opinion, the only solution to this problem is a show of force. As soon as that rocket is put on the lauch pad, the USAF should bomb the site. The only way to stop a bully is to confront him. Also, I believe that China uses NK for their dirty work. They are the ones that are really testing our resolve. NK is meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Plus, could you imagine the US getting bogged down in another war, especially one of this magnitude? Believe me, this aint no Iraq (see Vietnam, but probably worse due to their military capabilities i.e. chemical, atomic weapons.). Many of our brave soldiers would die, and many many more civilians.

    • OldMarine says:

I agree, USAF F-117's or B-2, Navy cruise missiles, or even SEALS or Marine Recon on ground should take the launch areas out, but then if we do, BH0 will lose his reputation as the great peace maker seeking peace in our time.

  7. You know I think a lot of us are missing the point, on this we have a state in the United States that some of the residents are worried about getting a ballistic missile launched at them armed or unarmed should not matter. Are you all sleeping, should we wait till the missile is in the air. Thats the police attitude, “I am sorry Mr. X we cannot act until you are actually killed. Just because you were threaten is not enough”.

  9. You know it has been said that shooting down an incoming missile is like hitting a bullet with a bullet.
I think the best thing we can do is stop the bullet from being fire at us. If you threaten to launch then we have
the right to protect our selves TAKE IT OUT ON THE PAD. You do two things you destroy the rocket and the launch sit.

    • DMN says:

That's the logical thing to do, but Obama is weak and is afraid to take ANY action. The threat should be enough for him to action….our country looks amazingly weak with him at the helm and his weakness is going to empower all of our enemies.

Hey 912ers, I've been hearing/reading that people want to do something, well here goes idea. Let's help a conservative. There are 661,235 member of 912, I'm sure everyone can spare a dollar, some maybe more, well its time to put up or shut up.
"ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says her political enemies are abusing state law with a flurry of frivolous ethics complaints against her, putting her more than $500,000 in legal debt."
Let's all send a dollar to Gov. Palin with a note, just saying "We just want to help.", And sign it a 912er
This will help her, and at the same time send a message, that we can be a force to "bargin" with and not just a fad of hot winded "racists".

I'm going to send some money tomorrow. It's such BS that people have to try and break her financially because they are scared she might win the next election. No wonder decent people rarely enter politics anymore.

The McCain camp should help her, they're the reason she's in this mess.

    • Velkro says:

You know, I like that idea and I think I will help out. Sarah Palin is one of those Americans that we need in DC because she has the common sense that our government desperately needs. I'm all for helping out a fellow American that can make a difference and continue to keep this country strong.

  11. Randall106 says:

No matter how many country thugs with guns he has, no matter how many tanks, no matter how many bullets, it just means an increased number of bomber sorties. We can deal with Kimmie anytime we want without an American soldier ever having to get his boots dirty. What we need to do is in some way remind him, and for that matter, remind the world of this fact. And I won't even mention what ONE SSBN could do to him, and Iran, and China. AT THE SAME TIME. The world has forgotten our power. They and our leaders do so at our peril, because one day even the annointed obama may be pushed to the point where he HAS to use that power, and the longer he waits, the worse it will be for everyone. He'll be forced to do with nukes what could have been done five years earlier with one sniper.

  12. Randall106 says:

Here's my problem here. We have sent the missile defense platform to sea, and I am confident of it's capabilities. I'm sure in a real emergency, they won't just shoot once, but will salvo enough interceptors from the platform and from the cruisers to ensure a successful intercept. Unless….. the officer in charge is on the phone waiting to get authorization from obama, while obama wrings his hands and worries about whether he should be responsible for an "escalation of hostilities," while the incoming missile passes beyond the interceptor's capability to hit.

  13. RobynTaylor says:

If North Korea starts nuking Hawaii or any other place in the world, they are in big trouble. China can take North Korea out. I was reading in the newspaper this morning that the Hawaiin people are not afriad of North Korea. They are planning on going about their daily lives. North Korea has threatened Hawaii before. I hope that Hawaii doesn't get nuked because it is such a beautiful place to visit.

  14. dpdacct says:

BHO is such a woos! Did he forget that Hawaii is part of the USA? I can't believe he hasn't made a firm statement about this situation. Oh–on second thought, I do believe it. Thank God for the military! At least they're on top of the situation.

  15. hunt501 says:

I was there 1982-83, USAF. at that time Il Sung was the pres. of N.Korea , there was always a state of readiness that the North would break the cease fire, although the war was declared ended since 1953 technically only an armistice has been in place(a cease fire), US. and ROK military personnel have continued to remain vigilant at bases throughout the South and on the DMZ. 38th parallel, the North has always been determined to reunite the North and regain the South, unfortnunately the hard lined communist North will not conform and it's only a matter of when not if direct hostilities resume, the situation now should be of great concern.

  16. OldMarine says:

I understand that residents of HI are worried, I know the feeling from the Cuban missile crisis, but everybody seems to be missing the point, that Kim Sick is nuts, but he fully realizes that our military would never let that missile get anywhere close to HI or any other ally. If this missile is capable of making it to HI, we can only do 1 of 2 things, get it on lanuch or get it on re entry. I have the feeling, that IF he does launch, there might be a malfunction on launch. But, I feel this is just a show for Kim to show BH0 that he (Kim) knows that BH0 doesn't have the guts or backbone to do anything militarily, after all it would ruin BH0's reputation as the great appeaser, I mean peace maker.

    • Jerseygal says:

Aw, c'mon OldMarine – you really meant appeaser! And thanks for reinforcing the faith in our defense system. Must missile defense wait for a BH0 ok, or can they simply defend us or our allies?

      • OldMarine says:

I alway have faith in our military. After all the Marine Corps motto is "Semper Fidelis" – "Always Faithful". Not only faithful to God,Country, and Corps, but faithful to each other, whether Marine, Soldier, Sailor, Air Man or and course the Coasties. We may fight among ourselves, but when the the going gets hot, we all pull together for one purpose, victory.
"I have just returned from visiting the Marines at the front, and there is not a finer fighting organization in the world!"….Douglas MacArthur.

  17. RNHunter says:

It would be hard to believe that the North Korean Dictator would send a missile into Hawaii, since that would be game changer and he knows that well. Kim Jung Il has made his progress by sword rattling. That means he creates a world threat or crises every two weeks and then wants the attention and the money and bribes to settle down. But if he actually attacks someone, then his game is tottaly changed. That now gives the right to the country attacked to level his government and him well into the ground and it is all over. Given that, I do not think he is that stupid to actually attack anyone.

  18. lnbarnes says:

I see no options with North Korea, but one. If North Korea fires a missile even remotely in the direction of Hawaii, then we have only have one option and that is to destroy that missile in the air. While the North Koreans certainly has an army in numbers, they have limited ability to maneuver that army. Armies travel on their bellies and need large amounts of fuel for motorized elements. I believe that they have little of both, but we and South Korea should be prepared for the worst and we should NOT depend upon ANY help from the UN. We should be prepared to repel the North at any rate.

  19. Leatha says:

This is the opportunity to write our representatives to remind them that when cutting dollars from our budget, defense should not be cut.

  20. NancyNurse says:

Or could it be that China wants our country and N. Korea will be paid handsomely to do the initial attack–probing our weaknesses and soft spots? The the Chinese would and could just walk right in and sit right down, mission accomplished.

  21. ISEEU says:

I've noticed that the media has fallen off the North Korean subject some, choosing to devote more airtime to the Iranian issues. Hmmm….I wonder?

  22. mpg8 says:

We no longer have a warrior society. That's why the military recruiters can't make their quotas. That's why so many troops have done more than one combat tour. The world sees this. They also see the opportunity they have at this time to at least embarrass us. That's also why Obama made fun of the tea baggers in his speach and forged ahead with his plans to ruin the country. We're way too comfortable right now to fight much and North Korea knows this.

    • DMN says:

That's why we can't appear to be just some friendly folks with some complaints. We have to be angry, but rational. Politicians and Obama need to see that we are not going to put up with their CRAP much longer.

    • OldMarine says:

You got your facts wrong. Recruiters are making their quotas, one in particular, the Marines, I was visiting the local station, middle of May, on a bumper sticker mission, and over a cup of coffee with the NCOIC, I asked him how it was going. He told me that they had already filled the quota for May, and were just about finished with June. Needless to say, I asked about the rest and he said, they were doing the same, overall the Corps is ahead of quota. I said its ashame the rest (Army,Air Force and Navy) aren't doing as well, and he told me they are doing okay. Now, a Marine won't lie to another Marine about things like this. Let's be grateful that there are still young men and women willing to sacrafice the nice safe comfort of their homes to defend the rights and freedoms of America.

      • mpg8 says:

I had heard on the news that recruiters were having problems with mental health issues and stress awhile back and were caving under the pressure put on them to meet quotas. Thanks for pointing out that the Marines are still doing well. My son has been out of the Marine Corps 10 years now. And by the way. My son and I are with you and Patton. We love to fight and live to fight. God bless.

To the parents and families of these young people, as an Old Marine, I salute you and thank you.
"Americans love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle."….George S. Patton

    • I disagree with you.

I recently was medically retired after having been wounded on my last tour into Iraq. I just watched my son graduate from Army Basic and feel confident in the knowldege that the torch has truly been passed to him. When I spoke with his battle buddies, I told them that they were the ones on the wall now – protecting us from the evil that wants to do harm to all of us. I have no fears that they will do as well as all of us have done before, and can sleep in peace knowing they've got our backs.

The troubling aspect of life in this country today is that despite their willingness to serve, there are many who don't support the idea of their service as good, just or noble. And our political leadership at too many levels has no connection and places little value on those who serve.

Recruiting by all services is well into the green, many having to wait up to 12 months before they can actually ship to their respective services basic training. I remember the anger of the men in my unit after 9/11, and how motivated through all 3 tours we did in the desert together. The warrior spirit is alive and well.

  23. TJwasright says:

With each new world crisis, it becomes more apparent that BHO can no longer get away with voting "present". Wonder how long it's going to be before the nation tires of us being so weak-willed that we no longer are the voice of freedom. While it's one thing to unwisely intervene in someone else's fight, being a world leader carries with it the responsibility to speak out forcefully against oppression. As Charles Krauthammer said last night on Fox it is readily apparent that no one will ever succeed in talking the current Iranian regime out of pursuing their nuclear dream. Our best hope is that the Iranian people will rise up. The demonstrators' signs were printed in English for a good reason.

    • Jerseygal says:

TJ, George Bush said something similar last fall, and it was a little sarcastic, I'm paraphrasing based on memory, 'Some want to talk to our enemies as if some ingenious argument will make terrorists realize that they've been wrong all along'……BH0 voted 'present on the Iranian issue for almost a week. I think he does this to position himself to take credit for a positive outcome, and lay blame when things go badly. It is one of his MOs. The other is 'when the going gets rough, get on the campaign trail.' I saw Krauthammer last night, too, he is brilliant. I agree with Ann Coulter in that by BH0 remaining neutral, he was siding with the 'guys with the guns.'

      • TJwasright says:

I agree 100%. By being neutral, it also allows him to "win" no matter which side in Iran prevails. It reminds me of all those folks who put the winner's bumper sticker on their car AFTER the election is over.

      • DMN says:

Obama is always afraid to lose since he relies on his appearance of being an affable guy. He never picks a horse until the race is already over and the horses are sleeping in the barn.

    • OldMarine says:

To answer your question,"Wonder how long it's going to be before the nation tires of us being so weak-willed that we no longer are the voice of freedom." 53% of the American people will never get tired of his weakness and destruction of America, of course I using those who voted for him, it maybe even higher, too many Americans care only about themselves, not the country and what it truly means.

  24. Barb66 says:

I think our navy can shot down any miss.that nk sends up. I do remember they shot down a falling satalite so it would be in little pieces when it came through the atmosphere. hopefully the USS Erie is in the neighborhood.

  25. mwb1951 says:

"Mae Dong, a Honolulu resident of more than 50 years, said the United States must remain resolute in the face of any North Korean aggression. "It's disturbing," she said Friday. "We cannot run. We have to fight them."
THIS is an American who gets it. God bless her and God bless the United States of America. As Admiral Yamamoto was supposed to have say when Pearl Harbor was bombed, "We have awakened a sleeping giant". We are a sleeping giant. Let's all pray that we do not sleep too long and that the wake up call is not devastating to our core.

    • Shadrach says:

I hope it doesn't take that loud of a noise to awaken the ones that are slumbering!! Anything on the scale of 9/11 will be too horrible & too high of a price to pay for the negligence of this administration!!!! B.O. SHOULD take the advice of the Joint Chiefs, the Admirals and Generals in the field that know their jobs!! And trust their judgment on things he has no knowledge of !!! But, that's just my opinion.

Who thinks China and Korea are reading from the same book and that they are just on different pages.
If one was to disappear which would China prefer to disappear USA or Korea?

    • DMN says:

At this point, I think China owns us, so they're trying to think of some globally acceptable way to "repossess" us. Being that a country has never been "repossessed" before, I'm not sure how China will go about it. I think we should offer the politicians who borrowed all the money…with Obama at the forefront….as indentured servants until the debt is paid. That way WE won't have to suffer for the greed of our government. Unfortunately, China needs more land, so I'm thinking they will eventually take us……

      • texasray says:

OK now I think I understand what we have to look forward to, they will forclose on us, and we will be booted out on our collective A'es.
What a smart Country we still live in. I wonder if the Chinese will house us after they boot us out.

    • cherokee1241 says:

      n korea cost china money
      usa owes china money
my guess they would secretly like n korea to disappear

      • DMN says:

China can manipulate N Korea to do things that China does not want to take responsibility for. China and Russia recently had a meeting which they did not allow the US to attend. It is NOT a good thing for the US that China and Russia are beginning to work together.

  27. ChrisTyd says:

I don't think N.K. missiles ever do what they are supposed to. I am left to wonder though. With China constantly buying more of our debt. How much control over our affairs do they have? Does it matter what they think?

    • Zymogene says:

Too much in my opinion. I am amazed we have gotten to the point of being dependant on any country for basic life necessities…..or own us like they do. Doesn't matter what country it might be. I mean all it takes is a new leader and a change of mind and your once best friend can become your new enemy.

  28. Boopster says:

This article is such a strong reminder of how much trust, faith, respect and appreciation we have in our Military! No worries, if needed they will get the job done.

  29. Nomarxism says:

They don't sound very concerned to me. Maybe there are a lot of BO supporters here who actually believe he gives a s-it about them. Anyway, there is still enough left of our military to handle an incoming missile. Of course they would need to get the OK from barry to fire…………..

  30. recovery24 says:

If China was smart, they would slap NK down and protect their interest in the US..Our leaders aren't going to do anything the way it looks..But we can't ignore the bullies of the world..How many threats will we take before we do something..?

  31. SnowDogMom says:

We should not be afraid of what China thinks. If they shot off a missle we should take it down. Who cares what China thinks, as many of Americans are unable to pay their debts, well they will never get the money BHO borrowed .

  32. mslouann says:

We plan on continuing with our summer plans and will be in Hawaii in early July. We cannot let fear of a bully rule our lives. If the end comes, so be it. I continue to have faith in our Military – even if the Obama is crippling their ability to do their jobs.

  33. KarinS says:

By having China buy our debt, how can we do ANYTHING with NK?

    • great point by KarinS, We can't and that's why we'll do nothing. I wonder if this is the crisis Joe Biden was talkin about. http://anti-msm-news.blogspot.com/

    • Jerseygal says:

China may not wish to do anything because we are encouraging it, so we should be working with Japan to pressure China to act. That may actually work.

    • Jerseygal says:

China may not wish to do anything just because we are encouraging it, so we should be working with Japan to pressure China to act. That may actually work.

    • OldMarine says:

Yes we can do something about N Korea, IF we had a president with some backbone. Presuming that BH0 does decide to Act, I do not think China will interfer, They realize that the U.S. is acting to protect treaties and itself, therefore it knows that trade will be disrupted if it interfers. This trade is not just with the U.S. but the rest of the U.S. allies (If BH0 doesn't insult them all). China needs world trade to survive.

  34. triper57 says:

The only thing that the North Koreans want is money. If we give in again we can expect more of the same in the future. We should intercept the missile the second it leaves NK waters.

    • Shadrach says:

I totally agree!! I wonder if they outfitted a Boomer with a missile interceptor?? Have it patrolling off the coast of NK and light up their sky with their own Warhead!!!

    • DMN says:

Obama throws money at EVERYTHING! Our country is bleeding money that we will have to pay back one day. Besides spending, what else does Obama do….not counting overthrowing our government from within.

  35. DMN says:

Wonderful choice….catastrophe. It fits Obama to a T. Thank you.

  36. Jerseygal says:

It only gives him the appearance of winning, which will be championed by our state-run media. Conservatives need to bone up on this particular talking point. If we are armed with facts, their argument withers on the vine.

  37. Jerseygal says:

He is also skilled at not losing, even if means eliminating any and all competition. That is how he became a State Senator in Illinois. If he cannot eliminate it, he marginalizes it. See 'Rules for Radicals.' If conservatives study that, BH0's next moves will be very predictable.

  38. Jerseygal says:

He is BH0's best insurance policy. I think that is why he picked Biden. The more Biden bumbles, the better BH0 looks, or so he thinks. We know better.

  39. DMN says:

What do you think his next move will be? There's not THAT much to destroy in our country, as far as I can tell. Once he has his claws in our health care, he's pretty much got control of us.

  40. Jerseygal says:

It is all about power – and redistribution (of wealth AND resources). I think he really wants these international conflicts to just go away, unless there is a way for him to enhance his status, thus power. Any one of them may involve the US in yet another war, and war divides the country politically. He does not want to alienate his loony base, but a war forces him to have the backs of our military, and he will have to do that or what power he has will be diminished. His involvement in the current wars can still be blamed on Bush, but no so easily with new conflicts.
His next move will likely be a series of campaign trail town hall meetings to sell his ideas that the folks are resisting. We are on to that MO, so there may be a slightly different approach to the same idea, like having ABC move into the WH, or the comedy routine the other night. We'll probably see more creativity in that MO over the summer.

  41. Jerseygal says:

Thanks – Occasionally some of the posts express some doubt about our ability to defend ourselves, and you always clear that right up!

  42. OldMarine says:

Damn good, couldn't have said it better.
