OBAMA
Only cracks down on conservative Americans- North Korea can nuke us if they want to.
Believes that OUR money is the cure for anything and everything- hands it out by the bushel as he prints more every day…inflation, anyone??
Always takes every opportunity to make friends with dictators, terrorists, tax-evaders, and radicals while dissing the once-friends of the United States.
Making his own shadow government and private military force, both of which will report directly to him.
Acorn is coming soon to your house to perform the census for Obama. Don’t be concerned that they are under indictment in several states….Obama isn’t worried about it, so why should YOU be??
Hard to believe that Iran could get tougher. Let me see here, they have said death to Israel and to the US, and then they snub the United Nations which is supposed to represent the world. They also inflitrate sovereign countries such as Lebanon and Iraq with Hezbollah to destabilize them by killing innocent people and causing terrorism. And then they build nuclear weapons with the idea of starting some kind of catastrophe. There is not much else they could do to get tougher I guess other than go to war with their own people. It is one of the few items of extremism left.
Hey 912ers, I've been hearing/reading that people want to do something, well here goes idea. Let's help a conservative. There are 661,235 member of 912, I'm sure everyone can spare a dollar, some maybe more, well its time to put up or shut up.
"ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says her political enemies are abusing state law with a flurry of frivolous ethics complaints against her, putting her more than $500,000 in legal debt."
Let's all send a dollar to Gov. Palin with a note, just saying "We just want to help.", And sign it a 912er
This will help her, and at the same time send a message, that we can be a force to "bargin" with and not just a fad of hot winded "racists".

Remember, now that protesters here can be classified as "Terrorists", you could almost replace "America" where it says "Iran" in this page's grabber.
I'm sure the Iranian government will get tougher, because they don't want to lose their jobs!
I remember in 1956 when Hungary tried to escape the jaws of Communism, and the Soviet military came rumbling into Hungary with their Tanks to squash that uprising. Or in 1968, when Czechslovokia tried the same thing, with the same results. Their desire for freedom was so powerful, they would give their lives for the taste of freedom!
Here in the United States, We take for granted the freedoms we have. The citizens do not understand these privileges untill we lose them. We had these freedoms because of our founding fathers quest to be able to live freely the way we want. But that has been changing slowly until the last election, when the rate of our freedoms being lost have esculated! Soon we will be just another country unless we act!
And alot of Americans will continue to take the freedom that America offers for granted, or if it doesn't "interfer" with their freedoms, prime example is people who smoke, they are demonized, taxed and in general treated like second class citizens. Alot of Americans cheer, then one day a small minority and the government comes up with something else and then their freedoms are curtailed, and watch them cry, never thinking they laughed and cheered when someone else's freedom was destroyed.
Old Marine – another time wisdom speaks volumes. The smoking issue is just one example, but a good one. The Feds pile on, the States pile on, even locals are finding a way to pile on. I don't smoke (allergies) but while it's not my choice to smoke – there are those who do choose to. Why is it wrong for them to exercise their choice?
Just because you don't like something, don't be too quick to throw that under the bus … one day, something you do may get the same end result. There is a big difference between making what some consider a poor choice and a wrong choice. At least we still have the freedom to make those choices for the moment – though it may be soon we loose that freedom.
If you don't make a stand either way, then you never have to take responsibility for anything. It bothers me, because the experience he has is in community leadership…..which in my opinion is like Acorn…you can have a plan, and then engage others to do the work in your stead, and then be able to pass the blame to a host of others below you if you get caught doing wrong, and yet take total credit as the "leader" if it goes well.
Zymogene, that is exactly what he does on each and every issue. Any hesitation is only partly because he is clueless, it is mainly that he want to be able to claim credit for anything positive that happens.

The key to why the one in Iran, China 20 years ago, and here in America isn't going to accomplish anything is the lack of organization and leadership. The Iranian government will put their foot down and the demoenostrators will lose interest, go home a bitch and moan, and learn o live with the "disappointment". The same will happen here in America with the 912 and TEA parties, people will lose interest, stop trying to do something and sit back, piss and moan, but nothing will change, the government of Iran will continue their hate for America and at the same time the destruction of America will continue. There will be some in Iran that will continue as will some here in America.

"In 1989, series of demonstrations in and near Tiananmen Square in Beijing began on 14 April. Led mainly by students and intellectuals, the protests occurred in a year that saw the collapse of a number of communist governments around the world.
The protests were sparked by the death of a pro-market, pro-democracy, and anti-corruption official, Hu Yaobang, whom protesters wanted to mourn. By the eve of Hu's funeral, 1,000,000 people had gathered on the Tiananmen square. The protests lacked a unified cause or leadership; participants included disillusioned Communist Party members and Trotskyists as well as free market reformers, who were generally against the government's authoritarianism and voiced calls for economic change and democratic reform within the structure of the government."
I remember the coverage, and I remember the aftermath. But what did it accomplish? Nothing, much like what's going on in Iran and here in America, not one damn thing.

While I have to agree with your premise, I hope that there are enough people here willing to continue the fight. I have no intention of giving up and from what I can tell, you'll be on my flank as I will on yours. All that said, you know the Marines are first in – last out …
I think you are right OldMarine – the Iran situation could quickly become a replay of Tiananmen Square. I also think that the many Americans who are interested in action today will grow, rather than wane. If for no other reason than that BH0 will keep mugging for cameras everywhere, and that won't let them forget, and will likely draw others into our cause.

Being an American is not a matter of where you live, where you are born, or where your parents are from.Being American is a way of thinking,a love of Liberty, the idea that you can do or become anything through hard work and strong faith. The Founders said "all men". I believe this to mean all men everywhere that thirst for Liberty world wide. Therefore pray for our Iranian brothers in there quest to become TRUE AMERICAN'S believers in the dream that is to be an AMERICAN.
I don't know if it's just American as much as it is a human response. America was just the first who allowed and supported it. I remember when people used to come here for FREEDOM…..now they come for money and no real concern for freedom….just gimmies.
God Bless all the DADs who are serving our great country, away from their families, and those DADs whose children are serving as well! Let us all say a special prayer for our military dads.
jerry, I think it is more like BH0 waits to see which way it is going, and wants to be on the 'winning' side so he can claim credit when 2012 rolls around. Indecision is also a decision. He refused to 'meddle' until the Iranians in LA and other US cities began protesting along with those in Iran. He is following the 'votes.'
presant= stick finger in mouth hold it up to see which way the wind is blowing and then after the fact make a decision..
Actually BH0 is follwing the polls, nothing more, nothing less. If the polls show him that people are against him says anything about Iran, then he want say anything. The same was true for the pirate situation, look how long it took for him to "make" the dicision to give the the go order to the SEALS. I wonder how long it took him to "decide" to send the SEALS on scene. We thought Slick Willy was poll driven on his dicisions, will BH0 out does him, and God, we got 4 years of this.
Of course he is following the all-important polls, but it is equally important to BH0 that he is on the 'winning' side – he will need to cite his 'accomplishments' in his re-election bid. He already started doing that, with his comment when the polls for the Iranian election indicated Mousavi was leading – remember? – he referred to 'the speech I gave in Cairo' and he said it with a lot of emphasis on 'I'. The week long delay was because he had to figure out how to turn those events into positive light shining on him.
OR……..they think this crisis will be the blindfold needed so that they can do as they please in this country??
KarinS, thanks for pointing out the potential use of BH0's 'distraction politics' as he has used so often in the last 5 months! We must be watching his other hand at all time.
like ramming that health care bill down our throats
I heard on TV that part of the crack down is now the threat of gas prices rising….."cap and trade" or green movement here we come? A crisis again so they can shove this aspect down our throats? How about not being able to get to work, the store, no means to get the goods to where it's needed since we have become dependant on our necessities from foreign nations and our survival is at stake…..or people freezing to death this winter because of it……..all because we didn't get those windmills up and running, change our lightbulbs, etc. See we need those high speed rails and public transportation….coz see what happens, as individuals, if your car is gone….and it's all your fault. (being sarcastic)

Opposition to ObamaCare is rising from all health care sectors, and the general public. IF repubs stand pat, I think it will fail.
When enough is enough people will fight back. I hope the people of Iran successfully make a change for the better.
It is sad to see the people of Iran want what is fair and their leaders only wanting to kill them in response to what here in America is done on a daily practice. The only difference is that for them to succeed they would need to have arms, which they are not allowed. To sit and watch what is happening is horrible. I pray for them and their families. Just wish there was some way they were armed so that they could really fight the fight, like this nation did in the very beginning.
Exactly……like shooting fish in a barrel and they can claim they were forced to respond by killing off the radical ones who dared to question them.
Allegations of a "rigged" election and lack of transparency that are not openly and honestly addressed can be very destructive as we will eventually learn.
Happy Fathers Day! God Bless America and Iran. Were praying for you. http://anti-msm-news.blogspot.com/
Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there!
Ya know Jerseygal, I have been following some of your comments from the last week. And I am beginning to think you are simply a nice person – and also quite wise. Careful, or others might start to think that also.
Thanks for the kind words RNHunter – I am what I am (did Popeye say that?). I try to be respectful, but occasionally cannot control my little mini-rants. I tend, for the most part, to not really care what others think of me, only what I think of myself. Much of what I have learned comes from life itself. Reading current events, and studying history, and observing people, has taught me to apply what I have learned. I also have a strange sense of humor, and have often wondered about some of the names here – like yours – does it imply there is an open season on nurses? Just kidding, but I've been harboring that one for a while!
This looks like a revolution waiting for its leader to emerge. I am not so sure Mousavi is that leader. BH0's response yesterday is just a little late. As when Russia invaded Georgia, it took BH0 4 or 5 days to recognize that McCain's position was the right one, here he remains 'neutral' and watches events unfold for almost a week before responding decisively. I will pray for the Iranians who are risking their lives to protest continued leadership by a dictator.
This administration will wring their greedy hands and delay and posture hoping the "problem" will resolve itself (and it will however the outcome probably will not be favorable to the people of Iran). Sadly, these people are on their own. This issues just shows once again how devoid of "leadership" Washington has become. The world is 'watching" this very closely.
Nomarxism, the world is indeed watching, and what they are seeing is that they can get away with multitudes of destruction before BH0 does anything. BH0 and his minions are not hoping it will resolve itself, rather they are waiting to see which position taken will most benefit re-election.
They need to sufficiently wipe out the rebelious ones that go againt the plan….so we have the people left who are more willing to conform.
Obama's problem is, he can't be decisive! If he would have stood in solidarity with the Iranian people, the left wing loons would have said he was rattling sabers! If he would have stood in solidarity with the Iranian government, he would have been called out on the carpet as a coward by those on the right! He is afraid to be called out by ANYBODY!! He needs to dig down a little deeper, and find a bigger set of balls!! Because before this and the North Korean situation is over, he will need them!!
Jerseygal
If we don't start protesting in a big way we will soon have our own dictator here!
We all need to be calling, writing, and e-mailing our reps, and those on the committees of the issues that concern us. Many are doing that, and we are seeing results. Politicians of either party are all about re-lection. We need to be prepared to engage in discussions on these issues, and to be successful, it requires that we know the facts, and are confident in our positions. Look how the left treated the completely non-violent tea parties. Just what would they do if we marched on DC. They won by networking, and we will take our country back the same way. We need to be networking, and not just on this site. Here we are largely preaching to the choir. We can enhance our knowledge and gain confidence here, and we must go out and use it.
Concerning the Iranians demonstrating for liberty and democracy, watch this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfrfEtW2aT4.
This girl was shot during a demonstration and died in the street for liberty & democracy. I hope those kids topple that rotten regime and serve justice to those thugs now in charge.
This is just a thought I had last night as I was watching video of the crackdown on the demonstrators. Is it possible that this is a coordinated effort by both candidates and the mullahs at showing their resolve to crush any that dare interfere in the "political" process in Iran? The demonstrations are legitimate. But is Mousavi truly committed to change? Or is he acting in accordance with the plans of the mullahs to crush any rebellion to show the rest of the world that Iran is serious about their plans? Again, just a thought. I don't trust either "Presidential" candidate, or the mullahs! But maybe that's just me!!!!
Sean Hannity brought up on his radio show, that Mousavi was responsible for Iran to beginning their nuke program, so is he really any different from Wackjob. I doubt it. My feelings is that this could be a conbination of a legitament demenostration, people who do want a change and a show for the world.
Good points, Old Marine. However, there are folks in Iran putting their lives on the line for a free election, at least that's the best conclusion we can make based on the limited information we are getting. Mousavi is not the only candidate (this article mentions two others) who is speaking out against the rigged election. Mousavi is not the man we want to see in charge in Iran. Perhaps he is less nutty than Amadingbat? We can't really know that BUT they have to start somewhere. Could free elections be the first step in getting true freedom in Iran? I am encouraged by images of both women and men protesting. Women may be the key to this and since they've been oppressed for so long in Iran, they may behave like a boiling tea pot. When the water's really hot, it let's you know? Just a thought.
LOL….kind of like the Dems and Reps, both sides of the same coin, but the illusion of fighting for something different. Definately a way to bring out the ones you don't want around to cause any more difficulty in the future. They want mindless, fearful drones. Coz sorry….so much of what they do makes no sense. Tea Parties are radical nuts, but illegal immigrants are "poor people just wanting to work". They can kill protestors but can't and won't do anything serious against terriorists…..just play at doing something. …coz they have rights. They have muddied the water, it's hard to know, who's the enemy and who's the friend.
Are you really risking it all for a cause, or just a fool doing exactly what they planned on you to do?
Sadly you are correct.
They could always declare them "right wing terrorists". It's being tried here by our treasonous government.
Zymogene, sadly, that is what will likely happen if current regime retains the power.
Gas prices have been rising. Speculators are doing the obvious – betting that prices will rise, so they are buying. Crap & Tax (love that – I think that is what OldMarine calls it) will likely be a bigger battle that health care.
Well, he's acting accordingly, isn't he? I sure hope missile defense systems can deploy without BH0's ok, because he might be on a date or doing a comedy routine or something.
The Ayatollah and his regime will not even bother to declare the protesters anything. They will simply execute them – if this revolution fails.
But we do get support from the Army, once in a while. LOL
Wow, a response. I would think that most of us select nicknames that have some good personal meaning to us. In my case Hunter was the last name I used as an alias when I played in an unknown rock band while paying my way through college. Even though we were unknown, I had to take a cut in pay from music to begin Engineering, and that became of course the right choice. R is the first initial of my real name, so that explains RHunter. The N came in as an arbitrary addition when the site told me that both Hunter and RHunter were taken and I just added letters till it let me live. As for the statue of liberty being my emblem, it is my personal belief that the statue of liberty perhaps more than other things tells us who we are: From many, we become one. While us Americans have many challenges, I believe one of the worst is the lack of tolerance we have for each other and each others' ideas. Atheists pick on Christians, Democrats hate Republicans, instead of respectful talking.
