Why don't they show THAT in schools anymore? We used to watch these stupid videos about global warming and how we're killing the planet. Videos where a little bird is a protagonist and because of the big bad industry he gets his feet stuck in some muck and can't fly away. I don't think I even knew what capitalism was until the 12th grade, when it was on a history exam. And at that point, I thought that capitalism was just 'the idea that money is a good thing'. I had no idea what impact it had until I did my own research!

WHY DOES OBAMA TAKE SUCH A "SOFT-LINE" STANCE TOWARDS OUR OBVIOUS ENEMIES? Could he be using the Sun Tzu idea that All war is based on deception? Could Obama be baiting our enemies by having them believe that Obama would not take any strong action against them??? SO LET'S SAY THAT OABAM IS BAITNG OUR WORLD ENEMIES. After n. korea attacks the across the dmz, chavez invades another south American country, or Obama forces Israel to take action on its own to defend itself and starts a war In the middle east, HOW WILL OBAMA RESPOND??? Will Obama do a complete 180 degree turn and take a hard-line stance toward our enemies??? Of course this may be welcome at first by many Americans. Obama may start talking like an American patriot and sending our military to defend freedom throughout the world. Of course fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq and now a third conflict will strain the US economy to the brink. Perhaps THEN OBAMA WILL TAKE ALL THE NECESSARY STEPS TO SECURE VICTORY. He will use the idea of defending freedom throughout the world against us and use it to take away our own freedom here in the the US by taking control of anything and everything he deems necessary; control of all industry, banking, rationing of food and gasoline, etc, etc. ……"If tyranny and oppression come to this land it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy."

This 1948 cartoon basically says it all and shows what is happening right now in America. We need to be John Q. Public and expose the newest Ism.

…BOYCOTT all of the questions on the new 2010 census that do not deal with the number of people in your house!!! The US Constitution is the Supreme law of the Land and prohibits the government from asking for more than this. THEY WILL USE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AGAINST YOU!!!
Since I live in an urban area, this cartoon should be Required veiwing. Since the teachers Don't Do Anything in the classrooms in our public schools. They didn't know their Reps & Sens. Everyone should know Arlene!

Did you know that the reason why the Japanese didn't want to do a land invasion in America was because they knew Americans had guns, and would fight back.
I don't think Americans will forcefully remove Obama. I think that it will probably happen through the ballot box, because that's what civil people do. However, if the government ever does try to forcibly control us, either in this time or in some future time, I think they will probably run into the same problem the Japanese did.
That's what I was saying–every kid should see this. Though it might take some pretext for them to understand it, with the schools the way they are. I know I didn't even know what capitalism was until the 12th grade. There was no reason to–I was never tested on it.
I feel like if Obama watched this with his kids, he would sit down, smile slightly, and say to the two girls, "That's a very nice video," meanwhile thinking "it's okay that they're watching this. They don't need to fully understand how things work yet. That'll come later."
