We need another Ronald Reagan, to fight the current day Jimmy Carter. Why is it, that the right always is told that they need to lean further and further to the center, while the left goes further and further left. Why do we conservatives have to give up our values. Screw that. I will not give up in what I stand for. Colin Powell. We saw how far a "progressive" republican, John Mccain, got us. We got B.O. We need a stark difference to what we have in office now. There is no way we survive two terms of Obama.
How about a natural born citizenship commission it would make a president validation real!!
What a patronizing A**H@@@@! He had to do this after he had completely dissed Nancy and the story got out. The only good thing about this is that you know he hated having to do it. Suck it up Obama, you cad!
Obama is as phony as a oops can't think of anything as phony as him. We watch as he finds people in every venue of this country who want a free ride. He promises them anything they want and they kneel at his altar. They are the Americans that want all "entitlements" that all true Americans worked for. He has no respect for any former President, which is why he wants to prosecute them. He says Bush broke laws , he knows "Clinton told bald face lies", and I'm sure if Reagan were alive he would want to jail him for something. He is safe singing President Reagan's praises because the former president is no longer a threat of any kind. Now "our" Press bows to him. They should, they are left of him, and worked very hard to keep his background and experience from the American people. Brian Williams is an Ass as are most other reporters. But like abc, cbs, msnbc, cnn, etc. we can expect no less.
I don't care who she was married to… I have no respect for someone pushing hard for embryonic stem cell research and someone who consults astrologers and psychics. I loved Ronald Reagan… but not her. Love is blind?
Bernanke's testimony underscored that the sluggish economy could pose challenges as Congress considers a controversial bill to combat global warming. The measure would force utilities, oil companies and others to pay fees for their carbon emissions, costs that would saddle consumers with up to $140 in extra fees per year, according to a recent estimate by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Bernanke said "it would make sense" to rebate any added costs to consumers "so purchasing power is not diminished."
http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/fed/2009-06...
so basically. the government taxes companies, the companies charge the people, the government reimburses the people, simplify…… the gov taxes companies so the gov can payback the taxes thru the people
what MORON came up with this???????
Hey there Chevy400, not sure who came up with this but I think they are pushing hypothetically low numbers. Electricity will cost a lot more, and anything made from petroleum by-products. I think their goal is to increase the cost of gasoline to force-encourage consumers into fuel efficient vehicles and I think the increase in electrical costs is to force-encourage consumers into wind generation and solar power. The increases in costs to oil and gas companies will be passed to consumers and they will not see a likely rebate. The actual effect will be that smaller drillers will back-off multiple well prospects lowering the actual supply (once current reserves are lowered) therefore the issue of supply and demand is then blamed. Don't buy into it, it will be the bills that suffocate the industry, not the industry suffocating the consumer. In Bernanke's words, "it would make sense to rebate added costs to consumers" this is a ploy to get people to support the bill. Promising more entitlements promises support from the masses.
just suppose they pay it for a minute. if the gov pays for the tax they imposed what is the point. its like charging your self labor and materials for cleaning your own house. just taking money out of the right pocket to put in the left one and saying you made a proffit. but i agree that no reimbursement will come.
i have a drilling question for you. what is the greatest lateral distance possible for a directional drilling rig?
the reason i ask is a rumor that foreign companies are in international waters and are actually taking oil from US territory by directional drilling under the sea bed
To me that ranks right up there with Slick Willy laying wreaths at the Tomb of The Unknowns and saluting the Marines of Marine One or the crew of Air Force One. You know the same Slick Willy that dodged the draft, by running off to England and married married a draft protesting follower of Alinsky. Typical double standards, considering BH0 is the direct opposite of President Reagan.
Ronald Reagan was the first President that I was old enough to vote for, I consider him to be one of the greatest Presidents this nation has ever had and certainly the greatest President in my life time. It was kind of ironic to see one of the greatest US Presidents receiving this honor from what is undoubtedly the worst President in American history. God Bless you President Reagan!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've not been able to get to this website at all for about three days without going through the "page cannot be found, try going back to the last page" link.
OK folks I miss Reagan too. I was a "Regan Democrat" that later became a Republican. Now, out of disgust with the Republicans, I am an Independent!
I have seen those of you who have regularly posted to this forum who have the same heart and desire that President Reagan had. You have eloquent words that stir other's hearts and souls. I hope we all can remember that our Forum is ultimately a call to action! It will do no one any good if all the good stuff only stays right here within our own blogs. We must eventually be about "doing something" to regain Reagan's America if that is what we want. I cannot tell you what that is.
My Grandpa used to tell me "Words are like the leaves on a tree; they move with every little breeze. It is the tree that grows and remains strong. Don't be a leaf…be the tree." [sorry it loses a little in the translation] I want to be the tree but we all need to be the tree together. Talking will not be enough. Its a great start but I hope we all put our actions with our words and get our USA back.
Just my opinion. Thanks.
I have said this time and time again, that the forum is a place to come up with ideas and plan a strategy to help and develop candidates to run against both parties. People make comments about 3rd parties, but we don't need them. We need to run people who are not affiliated with any party, who are patriots, and who understand the Constitution, and it's boundaries.
Unfortunately, it has become an Obama bashing forum (not to say I haven't leaned that way in the past). The question is, what will we do to turn the tide against both parties, and their non-represenation? Whining about it won't help. We need to organize a peaceful resistance to policies that are in contravention of the Constitution, and right the ship!
Hey Goo [chuckle, I love that name] I have a very simple strategy that I believe will work. It goes like this… in each and every election local, state and Federal vote AGAINST ANY INCUMBENT, no matter who they are. After several election cycles, and we stick to our guns, the Old Cronies will be out and We the People will have taken back our Govt. Then, perhaps, an ethical and moral candidate candidate will step forward and serve US for a term and then go home. It is a lengthy strategy to be sure but I believe it could work. Elections become our Term Limits!
Just my opinion.
I think we can start by recognizing those candidates/representatives who are doing right by us; those who stand for the Constitution and never waiver from it, regardless of political correctness or self-gain. If we all choose to support such people and look past mere personality, we can accomplish things.
That, unfortunately, will only have effect in the next election cycle. For now, we must try to pressure those currently in office to follow their oath to uphold the Constitution. Letters, phone calls and the like worked in the past, but I fear that with the current leaders in Wash DC, they will ignore the will of the people and do what they think is best for us. The threat of losing an election is the only solution we might have left.
What a wonderful, wonderful post.
I too am inspired by Reagan. I often read his speeches, and I am always struck by the fact that he said what he meant and meant what he said. He was definitely a tree with very strong roots. We need leaders like that today.
Our government is filled with leaves blowing in the ever changing political wind.
I feel as if I am a ditto head when I read your post. I worked at the elections counting votes for Ronald Reagan when he ran for govenor. I know what you are saying to be true as we tend to talk alot and don't act enough. I know other than writing and calling your reps that you can't do much more than that. What we can do is vote conservative in all election and all positions. The little offices are just as important and in 4 years we will be stronger and can defeat this imposter Obama. Thank you for the letter.
At least he has finally signed something I can agree with.
At least he has finally singned something I can agree with.
Remember back when the PATCO (air-traffic controllers) went on an illegal strike back in the 80's? Pres. Reagan told them to go back to work or be fired. And he fired those that didn't!
Someday there will be new president that is not beholden to the unions. The UAW will try to strike. Will our president be able to fire them too? I hope SHE will!
I was going to post a comment, but you said everything I was thinking. I have goose bumps and tears in my eyes now GodHelpUsAll.
President Reagan is very special to me, not just what he did for us, but he was the first President I voted for when I was old enough to vote. I remember his theme song by Lee Greenwood. (which I still get goosebumps when I hear it) And I went to pay respects during his funeral. If only he were here now! I miss him!
I saw Nancy on tv today when they showed the stautue of President Reagan, it was hard keeping a dry eye.
Hi GodHelpUsAll. I remember President Reagan. He was a very good President. He really believed in this country. I turned 18 years old in 1988 while he was in office. But I got one President Fitness Award signed by Ronald Reagan at the end of my 8th grade year. I was sad when President Reagan died. I watched the funeral on tv and cried.
Reagan was a good man, but he is gone. The only way that conservatives will come back from the netherlands is to have someone new rise up with the same principles.
I missed getting Jefferey Immelt's address or fax. Can anyone help me with this?

The email addy isn't working anymore. Got sent back to me.
Is anyone else here experiencing a problem displaying the Vent page? 4:05PM EST
Vent still not loading. I'm assuming everyone's having the same problem.
It's funny. I get it to load using IE, but not Firefox. Someone might have slipped us a virus.
Spend, Spend, Spend, Apologize, Apologize, Apologize.
He signs with the 'left' hand while the bedazzled media watch and ignores the 'right' hand confiscating more rights and liberties.
This is another smoke screen to divert some attention away from what he is doing, or about to do….. Don't be fooled…
It's a shame that a wall along the Mexican border wasn't built before Obama became president. If it had been, Obama would at least have one thing in common with Reagan. He would be standing before the wall exclaiming "Tear down this wall!"
Apart from all of the other absurdities of a Reagan and Obama comparison, can anyone imagine Reagan telling Americans they should learn to speak Spanish to accommodate the immigrants?
Obama is standing in the US right now exclaiming "Tear down this country". He's destroying our country brick by brick.
And it goes unnoticed by most Americans.
Say whats on TV tonight?
Hey you know Jay Leno isn't on anymore.
Now that an American D. A.
I really think He's just trying to rub it into all of Our faces.. And now Chavez comes out and sais that He appears to be more to the Right then Obama? Then you see Brian Williams bowing to Him? Is He now the Potentate Obama? Throwing out the The Voter Intimidation suit against the Black Panther Party, Releasing Nuclear information, I don't think If I intentionally tried destroying this Country, I could do as good of a Job as this Gov't. MSNBC Making a Martyr out of Mr. Tiller, at the Hands of Radical pro-life people? When a Muslim can Shoot 2 army recruiter's killing one of them get's portrayed as someone who is lashing out at the way our Gov't treats them? I HAVE HAD IT, Everyone keeps saying we need to do something. I am all for it?! But what are we doing? Sitting and watching?
I feel the same way you do. Each day we see the train wreck that is Obama, yet there is no one standing up and trying to stop the man. I think he is intentionally trying to destroy this country. Every single thing he does has a negative impact on the US….it all can't be accidental.
I am frothing with anger over EVERYTHING that's going on in this country. Somehow, someway we've let the liberal morons take over. This is bigger than big and it must be stopped. I let everyone know it too. I've been warning people about this forever. Some get it some don't want to and are in an Obama stupor. This country seems to have no idea it's been duped by a con man. And the media loves it.
What can we do???? I go to tea parties. I email and slam all of the media networks and politicians for their liberal moronism. But , I really don't know what good it does. How do we get our word through and knock some common sense into Washington? I'd honestly like to seem them physically removed by the citizens of this country. We voted them in and we can remove them and I'm afraid if we don't it'll be too late. I think it is already.
We as a society have relegated ourselves to mere sheep. we will sit back and take whatever they dole out. I am tired of it as well. We are lounging around, distracted by our addiction to consumerism and entertainment, while our nation is being turned into something we will no longer recognize!
I say the first thing we must do is work tirelessly to open the eyes of our neighbors and friends, when we know we aren't alone, we will be more likely to step up any effort we have in mind, "It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires of freedom in the minds of men."
~Samuel Adams
We cannot give up, we owe it to our children and grandchildren, we owe it to ourselves. Let it not be said in the annals of history, that it was we Americans who allowed our republic slip into the hands of oligarchy and despotism!
Sorry didn't mean to go off on a rant like that…….
He and Nancy Pelosi must be smoking the same thing or maybe they're 60's people who never really came down from their last trip.
It's a nice gesture. However, I wonder if the irony is lost on people that Reagan's leadership brought us out of a recession while Obama's leadership will drive us into a depression, and make that dollar coin worth 20 cents.
I try to be optimistic in all things, but having the man who is doing everything possible to destroy what Reagan accomplished set up a commision to honor him just gives me no hope.
Maybe a few of us can get together and make sure a proper memorial is done somewhere, even if it's not "official".
I'm tired of our leaders treating us like we are stupid….oh wait, we are stupid!
Yeah, he's marking a way of life gone to the past that will never come back! There saying we're moving on!
BHO signed the bill knowing good and well that he will collapse the country before the Reagan Centennial comes around. His policies are on the road to elimininate the USA.
You can fool some of the people all the time and all of the people some times, But you can't fool all of the people all of the time..!
He doesn't care as long as he gets 60-70%
But the agenda still moves forward.
Someday those 60% will realize that the free ride is over, and it was not free.
It will be a rude awakening for sure..The left extremist don't realize they are setting their own trap to catch themselves..When it is all said and done, there will be only two classes of people; the few very elite and the rest of us sold into slavery. That is only if the conservative movement fails, which I hope and pray it does not..Hang on, we are in for one h3ll of a ride..
you forgot the Airforce 2 fly over the Statue of Liberty= fire the guy who supposedly planned this event…only after the public outrage and happened on a Friday
Obama and Regan in the same sentence what a discrace !!
I agree!! What an insult! Both are T total opposite!
I wish I knew what this is REALLY all about. Obama admires Reagan? Has he even studied Reagan's life, his strength, his optimism? Obama smokes, right? I have got to wonder what's in those cigarettes. SHEESH.
He doesn't admire Reagan for being Reagan, he admires Reagan for being admired. He wants to associate himself with all great people, people who were admired. That makes him admired.
this is a good point – remember when he compared himself to lincoln? With his budget, he has enslaved all of us.
Well, actually he openly admitted to pot and cocaine, which should have gotten him dismissed him from running.
It's really an insult to Reagan and everything he did for our Country. What this administration (demolition crew) is doing, is the opposite.
This is priceless, just read the statue of President Ronald Reagan contains pieces of the Berlin wall. give credit to Greta Van Susterin for reporting this.
This was cute
>>When he put pen to paper she exclaimed, "Oh, you're a lefty."
"I am a lefty," Obama replied.<<
What a lady of class! I'm not being sarcastic, either. Especially after this:
>>During his transition to the White House, Obama committed a faux pas at Mrs. Reagan's expense when he said he had received advice from all "living" former presidents, but joked that he "didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about, you know, doing any seances."<<
BO needs to take a page out of her book, I think.
And Obama is not into they 'mystic thing'. This is priceless, and also extremely frightening. Obama is now legislating by the star chart………http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi9e6gIZ_EY
Would you mind posting another link to that? It said it had a malformed ID when I clicked on it.
After posting about the same quote I saw your post so I deleted mine, you have a nicer way of looking at it anyway.
I just thought it was quite ironic.
I thought it was, too. I was more referring to Nancy Reagan's comment than to Obama's, but I have to give him credit: what he said was pretty clever.
Just a side note, Nancy Reagan was reportedly into astrology. It was Hilary Clinton that was reported to have channeled Elanor Roosevelt while in the Whit e House.
It's so funny that they make fun of the right like there's no tomorrow about this kind of thing, and then they turn around and do the very same thing! Weird.
Obama is a shrewd politician. He does not respect Reagan as he does everything opposite. Obama is hoping to appease some of the Repubs by showing repsect for a great leader. He is probably even going to compare himself to REagan. LOL
This is the right thing to do for former President Reagan. He brought pride back to America, with his strong stand against the evils of the world. He stood up to the former Soviet Union, and gave hope for billions of people around the world, and gave freedom to the oppressed with his strong stance against tyranny! Reagen brought us back from the mismanagement of the pres. Carter times.
I only hope Obama could lead like Reagan, and not tear down the USA in his speaches around the world. Reagan was a Patriot. Obama is a radical pinhead!
We are going to need another Ronald Reagan after Obama gets done with America. God bless Ronald Reagan
hi fox i looked at your profile , Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Please tell me your helping defeat harry reid . please tell me you are.
fox2/5; You will see a very good candidate emerging from the Republican party in the next year or so, perhaps several, that will take on the Obamanation Democrats.
I predict a 1994 Republican landslide victories dejavu. By the 2010 midterm elections, citizens will be fed up with the socialist democrats manuvering our country into the depths of hell, and will fire the likes of Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Murtha, and the other clowns that are disguised as Senators and Representatives of this once great land!
Obama may even lose in 2012, just to get rid of bad rubbish!
detestObama, You know Obama will have to change his philosphy on economics before the four years are up thats for sure. I mean really look what President Regan layed out for us the correct principals for capitalism. Socialism and Captilsim together just dont freaking work. When Regan 1st took office the country was in a recession and the unemployement rate was over 13% plus he was dealing with a cold war among other things. He turn this country around and during the process everyone was putting him down espically the media. Today he's considering one of the greatest President that every sevred this great nation of ours.
Waht kind of scam is this???? A way to defuse the tea partiers by paying homage to one of their heroes? I think Reagan would be offended by this 'honor.'
The day Ronald Reagan passed away we lost a great American. I could not help but be very proud to be an American knowing a man of his caliber was my leader. Every time I saw him and heard him speak, a thrill would run up my spine to the top of my head.
That day my wife, knowing how I felt about this guy, asked if I was going to be OK. I jokingly told her "ya, I'll be alright but I just don't know if I could handle it if Ray Charles were to also die right now."
The next day on the way home from work, I heard on fox news that Ray Charles had passed away that morning.
I had to pull over and stop the car.
True Story.
Too bad we don't have any more Ronalds or Rays.
It is sad that our current president is nothing more than a perpetual wanna-be…. but it is fitting that Regan be remembered… I miss the man.
Ditto Chris
I miss him too.. i still get choked up when I remember his funeral.
His boot in the stirrups of his horse…
sooo sad… I wish he could get thru to our Messiah… and teach him how to be a leader that the American people could rally behind.
May Ronnie Rest In Peace
One thing I have noticed about this President is that pretty much everything he has done since he took office is popular. Every decision he has made, all of his projects, and all of his speeches have all been about something popular. I have seen a disturbing pattern emerge since before he took office. Notice how whenever Gallop. Rasmussen, or any other polling place lets out a poll Obama does what is the most popular at the time.
Rev Wright = Race Speech
Rev Wright again = thrown under bus
people demand action = quickly made stimulus that makes no sense
AIG bonuses = faux outrage
Daschle driving around in a limo = Dashcle removed from HHS
Iraq War = Send more troops despite campaign promises
Close Gitmo Popular = first day in office he closes Gitmo,
Few months later Gitmo closing unpopular = reverses decision
Detainee photos release popular = for it
Detainee photos unpopular = blocks the decision
Every single one of these instances is preceded by a poll of some kind. I thought highly of Reagan and W because they were willing to do something unpopular because they thought it was best for the country. I disliked Clinton and now Obama because everything they do is based on the latest opinion poll.
I heard he has a group, who daily checks on these things. That's the way I've seen him….a leaf in the wind, going wherever it takes him. No real plan, except destruction….and these crumbs tossed out to appear all inclusive. I mean what conservative is going to say anything about this? He's honoring Regan. To me it's tainted by having this done by his hand, because he's obviously so anti everything that made Regan great. Except 2 really big issues. I didn't agree with Regans amnesty back then, and Obama will ride his coat tail since he supports another one. And stem cell…..because of these awful illnesses it may help.
Richard – very astute observation. I agree with the Reagan Commission and I think it is the best thing he has done, but I agree if he sees a political advantage bolstered by popular sentiment he will change his tune on any topic.
Here's some great stuff from the Gipper. enjoy.

When I think of President Reagan I think of a man with strong conviction, a moral compass and core values. A man who knew what was right and wasn't afraid to challenge those who disagreed with him in the arena of ideas. He was everything that is missing in todays political landscape.
AMEN!
Same here. I remember crying when he passed. I felt like we have no one to replace him on our side. I went to youtube and played Reagan's first inaugural speech to my children. Then I said, "compare that to BOs" BO believes the gov't is the solution, while Reagan believed gov't was and still is the problem.
Just a little side note, Reagan was such and witty and humorous person. He could think on his feet b/c he new his core beliefs and didn't need a telepromter to rely on. When Reagan was about to go under for the surgery after being shot, he said to the docs, "I HOPE YOUR ALL REPUBLICANS!!"
I saw an interview with one of his staffers once (can't remember who) but they mentioned that President Reagan never took himself too seriously. That was why he was liked by most all who came into contact with him, even those who disagreed with him. Contrast that to Obama who worships the ground Obama walks on.
President Reagan is surely spinning in his grave! For Obama, who is a Socialist/Marxist, to even mention Regan's name and be in the same building as Nancy Reagan is apalling to me. Of course Obama only did this to get his poll numbers higher, as if those of us who know how he operates would be so gullible as to believe anything this man has to say.
In Barry's best day's,,, He will never ( !!! ) be in Reagan's league. President Reagan has more class in his pinky toe than our TOTUS has in his scrawney body.
I do not believe one word that comes out of Messiah's mouth. !!
In my opinion, Everything he does is all part of a script…
I even think… in the future… when we will get hit again.. can you imagine him telling us another 9-11 attack is happening?? without practicing it over and over ??? we will all see what he is truly made of ,, Lord help us …
he is the antithesis of Ronald Reagan
He'll blame Bush for the next attack.
He might try to do that.. BUT…. we aren't that stupid ..
are we???
when the next attack happen's, he already know's what he's going to say, it's all Bush'es fault, " I inherited this attack"
What a nice gesture!!!!! That being said, what a major political ploy! Obama admires Reagan yet does the exact opposite of what Reagan would do. If anyone noticed, Reagan's policies worked, and they would work now too.
On another note…The article talks about Reagans optimism…yet another example of the differences between the two.
The article says…
During his transition to the White House, Obama committed a faux pas at Mrs. Reagan's expense when he said he had received advice from all "living" former presidents, but joked that he "didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about, you know, doing any seances."
You think this is going to turn out well? It will be a hit job on a great American.
Our President is a T U R D
Obama will do and say whatever he feels is going to serve him best at that particular moment. He coldly calculates each move, not based on ideas, beliefs, or values, but rather on advancing his power, agenda, and popularity. He is willing to throw any values or beliefs he professes to hold over board for the sake of advancing his political power and career. He's like a sprinkler spraying droplets of water in every possible direction causing confusion and chaos as he steadily plows ahead with his agenda in full confidence of accomplishing everything he's set out to do.
You are spot on in your assessment of Obama…I think his motto is 8 years or bust..and he's well on his way.
Obama is doing just what the jap's did right before ww2 ! They where over here talking peace while preparing for war behind our back's ! I donot trust this man, and I am waiting for pearl harbor !!!! Which if there is a good side to that, maybe onece again the SLEEPING GIANT will be awakein, if they arent watching american idol.
And obama's campaigning again; all a ploy to "butter up" to conservatives.
man, i really hope this is not an attempt to redefine the Reagan presidency, i hate to sound skeptical, but Obama does not strike me as the type to do anything that doesn't fit his agenda.
Thoughts of Ronald Reagan provoke rememberances of his feelings of Love of Country, Faith in the American People and Confience in the Future.
Thoughts of Barack Obama provoke rememberances of his Contempt for the Country (as founded by the Constitution), Distain for the American People (who succeed without government) and Pessimism about the Future.
Hussein Obama shouldn't even be allowed to utter Reagan's name.
I love it!!!! She says 'Oh, you're a lefty.' And he admits it……
With Colin Powell out there saying we need to be more moderate, we need all the Reagan publicity we can get! Code Pink, Soros, Daily Kos, all are probably going nuts over this!
Oh man I am sure those FAR LEFT websites are going nuts about this….Can you imagine what is being said over there…
Yeah. Obama just loves Reagan, and is just like him. He's George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan all rolled into one. Surely everyone can see that they all have so much in common. They all loved their country, Obama loves his country…oh, wait no. I mean Obama is trying to destroy the country, they all tried to destroy the country….no wait, that isn't right either. I mean they were all presidents, and Obama is a president. Peas in a pod.
Made me smile, thanks. Love sarcasm
you forgot FDR and JFK …. he's them also.
maybe we need a mock song to the music of "i'm every woman"
he doesn't hold a candle to President Reagan.
he trys to compare himself to almost every president known Except one the other fascist Woodrow Wilson
cross hitler, stalin, and Muammar al-Gaddafi…..and you get our potus
don't forget he is also like benito musolini too !
Mr Obama watch this video & learn from the best ……………………. but I know you wont , cause your agenda is the total opposite of this video :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmUJY5EugcM
Not sure how may keep up with Gold/Silver and Oil (Commodity Markets). I tend to look at Gold/Silver. The reason I mention it is that the prices has slowly risen over the last few weeks. Many will tell you that Gold/Silver is a barometer of the US Economy.
Over the last year the prices have risen and once Gold hit $1K/oz the prices would slowly drop… The rate a witch its rising is slower than the norm, and the reasons being given are a little unsettling. Then you have to take a look.
Typically you will find changes due to interest-rates or contracts being called… This time the feedback is that other Countries and/or Markets are concerned or question the integrity of the US Economy (is it solvent).
Then you have Mr. Wizard, the Sec of Treasury being laughed at while speaking at a University in Beijing. Trying to get them to buy the premise that things are turning around. And not to read much into the fact we're buying our own debt…
Thought I'd pass it on to those who don't pay attention or invest in these markets.
Forgive me if I dont trust Obama as far as I can throw him…from what I have seen so far, the man will lie to your face and in fact HAS lied to us all. I wonder who will be part of this commission. Obama is a very smart man, very sneaky…I hope all of us and mostly those in power who love Ronald Reagan wil keep a close eye on this…I can see this spinning into some sort of Anti-Reagan thing easily. The far Left HATE Reagan, they hate his kindness, his morals, his honesty…
I am reading a book right now about Reagan and his faith, "Hands of Providence" by Mary Beth Brown. It is an amazing look into the man…I highly suggest it. It has given me hope and strength.
I'm not convinced Obama admires Ronald Reagan. Obama is a supreme narcissist and, as such, he only admires himself and must envy the respect and admiration Reagan had and still has. Obama is purely political and would observe the memory of conservative Americans (such as Ronald Reagan, John Wayne, or General Curtis E. LeMay) if the appearance of such honor could gain him some political leverage. I believe Obama despises those on the political right and will always cling to the left-wing, Marxist-oriented party that elected him.
Tomusafret; Obama does not admire Reagan. Reagan stood for everything Obama hates, and is against!
Its' a shame that your first impression of seeing Presidents doing such a thing that it is naturally negative. That politicians today, especially President Obama is mean, conniving, arrogant man. And the only reason he has high poll numbers is because of two things. The Press' ability to manipulate and present the news in his favor, and that the Country has become a "pop-culture".
Personally I think he's created all these czars and other help within his administration so he doesn't have to do anything, but play-the-game, enjoy his power, and use it as he wishes.
Reagan did play President, he was a man of meaning, ethics, and honor. He without question is best President this countries seen since Lincoln… He brought this country back from a economy much worse than we have today, we were in the peek of the Cold War, the Military morale was low, and technology was held back from the public. He changed this because of his love of country, his feelings for the Military and the American Public… he was told no or not to do things, that you cannot do these things.. but he went with his heart.
Obama doesn't deserve to be put within the same presence as Reagan… His only reason is the upcoming election. Like the Stimulus Bill… it has a good amount of money being spent in 2011… Many of his plans are meant to be realized between 2010-2012
Simply shameful !!!
Very well said. While Reagan went with his heart (and the best interests of America), BH0 will always go with the poll numbers. The Soviet leaders respected, and even feared, Reagan because 'his words and deeds are the same.' BH0's words are empty and his deeds are self serving. Our adversaries know this. He may be able to plan when his domestic programs have the greatest impact, but if he thinks he can plan world events he is sadly mistaken at our expense!
Ronald Reagan was a great President!!! I find it very strange that Obama admires him? Because Reagan was everything that Obama isn't, very puzzling?
Gosh I miss that man.
God rest his soul.
President Ronald Reagen deserves this honor!, the lefty comment is funny and could be interpreted however you would like to read it, Pres. Obama is a lefty!
GREAT NEWS FOR REAGAN CONSERVATIVES
Ronald Reagan Centennial Commission Act Signed June 2, 2009
Americans everywhere will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of our 40th President, Ronald Reagan, on February 6, 2011, with special events and activities. It will also be a great time of reflection in relation to Reagan conservatism as we prepare for the presidential race of 2012.
At the end of his two terms in office, Ronald Reagan viewed with satisfaction the achievements of his innovative program known as the Reagan Revolution, which aimed to reinvigorate the American people and reduce their reliance upon Government. He felt he had fulfilled his campaign pledge of 1980 to restore "the great, confident roar of American progress and growth and optimism."
GOP: RETURN TO REAGAN
It will take a comprehensive strategy and organization to pull that off. Also, the raising of funds to pay for lobbying. This is something that 500K+ people can do, isn't it?
There are always other means…we just have to discuss them, and exercise our rights as citizens to peaceful means of protest.
UUmmm, could even be more simple than that
Through this forum we plainly educate our folks to vote AGAINST any incumbent- no matter what! We take back through the vote what has been taken away by previous sheeple voters who vote only name recognition or celebrity. We keep it up until We the People are once again. Of course this has little effect on the present situation. Makes me so angry I want to go strangle a manatee with a battery cable from a hybrid! hahaha.
Just my opinion.
Quite eloquent. I don't think I'd go as far as strangling a manatee, but maybe blowing up a few Priuses in a open field, with full supervison from the local authorities. It would certainly help with my frustration.
You are right. The tea parties, I hope, were just the beginning of forcing our dear leaders to take notice. I know that there has been talk of a large July 4th tea party in DC, but have yet to see anything else about it. Have you heard anything?
Honestly I believe what is called for is a multi-pronged approach from several peaceful and effective directions. There just is not a one magic solution out there.
No, I have not. That's not a good sign. As of tomorrow, they would have a month to organize it.
Absolutely. There has to be different ideas on all angles.

3 min and 10 seconds, you will hear him use the stars to govern the nation.
This man is a loon.
Wow, what a hypocrite!
Interesting, haven't tried using IE. I hate IE!! Curse you Bill Gates!!!
There may be another oil and gas industry person on the site that can add to this reply, but on the latest attempts that I personally know of of multiple natural gas vertical drills of two-to-nearly five miles vertically (straight down) and from the upper link of that vertically drill laterally 300-500 feet, which is costly but effective. There are issues with open lease areas on-land that directional drills could over lap. I have yet to ever see that happen. We have heard the rumors of foreign companies in international waters drilling laterally however, there is not currently proof of it as no one has x-ray vision to ensure it is not occuring. The Law of the Sea Treaty-(LOST) not yet ratified, gives the mining regulations BUT also includes the redistribution of wealth to under developed countries. So, if foreign countries are currently active- they may be doing so in anticipation that Obama will ratify this 1980's Treaty. You can look LOST up on Heritage.org.
The worst part is that he absolutely believes it, so he will stop at nothing to get universal health care. That is ironic………….using the stars for universal health care. I wonder if the universe can take care of itself? I'll bet we are hit with a new tax for that. Nancy Reagan used her "median", but Ron did not. If Michelle used the stars, I doubt anyone would say anything.
It's a little medieval, if you ask me. I mean, 400 years ago the people of Europe believed the plague was due to a rare planetary alignment. We're supposed to be moving forward in science, not backwards.
Oh, and let's not forget Hitler's fascination with the occult and non-traditional religions. It just seems so weird that Obama is slipping up and saying things that resemble Hitler all the time.
thank you for the information. i read earlier this year of shell claiming capablities of covering huge aeras underwater with one directional drill rig. claiming being able to replace 10 rigs with one because of the fact they could go from verticle to horizontal over a large radius curve. ill have to look up the lost treaty, never heard of it….
Yes, I would say that claim is correct because off of the verticals can be multiple lateral lines so they can cover a vast amount of area with that type of coverage-it would be multiple lines, not one long one. So, for foreign companies to drill they could simply do the same thing, but ONE long line in my opinion is not cost effective and multiple lines from one lateral would be REALLY hard to detect. So, that is why the question remains up in the air if it occuring or not.
how would something like this be detected? like you said IF. so its possible then.
hmmm…………… stuff to keep the mind busy
The actual off shore platform would be the starting point. This is my personal opinion, if they can do it they will, and even at the risk of detection.
if $$$ = risk
how much could an average sized deposit produce per day ???
Depends on the cost and the price of a barrel of oil, but more than even that it remains that China and venezuela are in a joint venture so they will have the refineries. This whole thing could get very ugly. Production depends on the underground deposit size, I would hate to guestimate, so would have to look at productions levels already logged in that area to know.
say in the gulf of mexico. placed in mexican waters taping into already in-use deposit and siphoning it out
I guess that using the stars is not too bad. If Michelle starts sacrificing chickens in a voodoo ritual, we need to start getting very concerned.
Hahahahahahahahaha I'm on my first cup of coffee this morning and that made me laugh
I'll be concerned, too, when he commissions the lead geneticists in the country and starts trying to ressurrect fallen Pagan warriors. (Yeah, I'm a nerd and play waaaay too many video games!)
