OK. We can all express our irritation about the $ spent on last weekend's "date".
In the mean time how many BILLIONS are going to General Motors?
We need to stop getting caught up in the minutia and pay attention to the big stuff.
This guy is nationalizing banks, insurance companies and once great manufacturing companies.
His 'date' is the least of our concerns.
We need to focus on the important things rather that the superflous nonsence.
When one hand catches our attention we need to pay attention to the other hand.

  2. kathib says:

While we are discussing all of this, did anyone watch the Brian Willians interview of Obama this evening?

    Williams actually BOWED to Obama……….EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUWWWWWWWWWWWW!

    REALLY CREEPY!

Second half tomorrow………..I think I'll be washing my hair, or my dog's hair, or my horse's tail or………..???????

  3. kathib says:

    G.W. Bush is a Christian……………

isn't it ALL HIS FAULT ????????

  4. kathib says:

GOOD! Scream at your elected officials, tell them your thoughts!
They actually pay attention to letters and e-mails……….silence is our worst enemy!
Speak up while we still have the First Ammendment!

  5. SheriS says:

I heard they did not take AF One, but used a smaller plane in the Presidential group of planes, but they did have at least two helicopters and of course the limo that gets about 5 miles to the gallon! The last I heard the cost to we taxpayers was at least $50,000! Hope you all enjoyed paying for that sweet little "date."

  6. maytag says:

Did they HAVE to take Air Force One? Couldn't he have just gone in one of the choppers that escorted him? Better yet, why not pay for the entire first class cabin on a commercial airline for him and all his security?

  7. coldtoesinmi says:

He made a campaign promise to her and should have fulfilled that promise BEFORE he took office. He says he will pay for dinner, tickets and the what would equal first class air fare….. Sorry but if he had fulfilled his promise before he took office then we would not have to pay for all the security details and Airforce 1. It is very irresponsible on his part to have not thought ahead.

I lost my job last Dec. and my husband & I have had to get creative for our dates. We may have had to scale back on our plans ,but the times call for it, maybe Mr. Obama needs to take some lessons from us.

  8. coldtoesinmi says:

This date was a promise he made to her on the campaign trail and he should have paid up BEFORE he took office and was the leader of the Greatest Country on earth. His promise, his dime………..For dinner, show and security. Oh yeah and ALL AIRFARE (not just what first class airfare would cost)

  9. pipersfun says:

my idea to help put a end to this is, send our garbage in flat rate boxes. All we get out of the White House is garbage, why not give it back to them? It might send a message, what do you think?

  10. tooserv says:

The President is going to the middle east soon, He could have stopped in N.Y. to have his date with the first lady on the way to the middle east.

  11. Mugwump says:

Geez, barney and the butt burglars reduced my 401K to a 201K and now barry goes and spends a bunch of it on a date.??.

Just to rub OUR faces in it??? Some leader…

Talk about arrogance and out of touch!!! I recall Bush #1 getting lambasted for not knowing what the price of a loaf of bread was…

And Quayle for spelling potatoe wrong…

No finger waving from communist news network on this one tho…

  12. luckydog1 says:

In the chapter titled " tactics" in the book Rules for Radicals it talks about making your opponent live up to their rules. Well, I say bad liberal. What on earth is your carbon foot print? Old Teddy "sells" a pure breed dog to Obama when any "good" lib knows that you should "adopt" from a rescue. Shame on Ted for breeding his dogs when there are over a million euthanized every year.
On an almost daily basis he makes a mockery out of people's hard earned. Every penny that he spends should be well considered. It is NOT his money. It is the people's money and must be regarded with ultimate respect. Any money that is intentionally ill used is STEALING. Even a penny. That goes for any President. I truly believe that he never intended nor intends to lift people from their plight. That is just one avenue he used to get elected. I will listen to what someone has to say, but what they do is all telling.

August 2008 – DNC COnvention $155 Million Party
    January 2009 – Innauguration Party $175 Million
Every Wednesday night at the White House – A-list artists are brought in to perform for parties ( Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, etc)
Dinner? – $100 per pound Kobe Beef
Date night in NYC? – Est $45,000 for dinner and a play

Do the Obama's know how to live it up or what?

    • texasray says:

Don't you want your President to be happy and have everything he wants all the time and at any time.
What if he was unhappy he might just walk off the job, then where would you be. Who would rule over you and give you so much to look forward to.
      Whatca think ?

  14. SusanE says:

It sure didn't take Barry long to start to live large. I wonder if he learned that from rubbing elbows with that hollywood bunch or those rich democrats that they don't talk about. Talk about a carbon footprint.

  15. sermaus01 says:

What would be the Obama's reply to us the People…. "Let them eat cake"

  16. Gatekeeper says:

I guess Private Jets can only be used for dinner now. Do you hear that CEO's? Take your jet out for dinner!

  17. AmericanOnly says:

No doubt us peasants paid for this, would be interested to know the total bill for this dinner & movie… Air planes, security, why didn't they just do pay per view? The White House is set up for date night, Clinton used the oval office.

    • Mugwump says:

"No doubt us peasants paid for this'

Who else?? What did he ever earn??

    • Two private helicopter rides.
One ride on Air Force One.
Two tickets to a Broadway show.
      One dinner in New York.
One night on a Presidential date with the Messiah…Ooooh Ahhh.
      Definitely Not Priceless….$24,000.00

  18. Prepared1 says:

Not just the money, but what about the harm done to the environment (insert sarcastic sigh here). This guy is SO in his own little bubble. Looks like we need to explain that he better stop spending our money or he is going to be in need of a personal stimulus package. We need to toss each and everyone of those blow-hards out of work. They are so irresponsible they couldn't hold a job at Burger King.

  19. Rusty says:

Wow. How wrong I have been. All this time I have been thinking that BHO was smart and his moves were cold, calculated moves to destroy this country – when now it seems like the guy maybe has a truly ignorant streak in him as well.
Maybe its arrogance. Either way, thats one quality I'm glad he has and I hope he shows more of it! Keep it up BHO. Keep it up.

  20. Carolecares2 says:

I'm so happy they could take their new car out that all of us provided for the Obama's and have a nice night out! This guy is so full of himself that he DOESN'T CARE how much he offends the little people he controls…US!

    • kathib says:

      Are we VICTIMS or VOLUNTEERS?

He has no right to control us………….lets stand up for our GOD given rights, If we don't, we
      deserve whatever happens to us.

Our Constitutional rights are under assault……do we keep quiet and take it or stand and fight?

Pravda printed a piece this past weekend titled "American Capitalism Gone With a Whimper"

"It must be said that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple."

Is that OK or do we have the stones to stop it?

  21. Carolecares2 says:

Yes after returning from Vegas….the very city he told us not to go. He stayed at a plush Hotel while attending a fund raiser that we paid for…all of us…for Harry Reid. He took Air Force One to Vegas on a Fund Raiser for Harry Reid! My god everyone we paid for it! Am I the only one who's mad as hell? N. Korea should be his #1 concern not a greedy Harry Reid!

    • EricaD says:

Carole – As I recall the Governor of Nevada agrees with you. He was MAd as Hell, and let the POTUS know it. Most people in Nevada cannot Stand Harry Reid, why do you think the President Personally went stumping for his little buddy in the city that has lost Billions due to BO's arrogant and idiotic comments.

    • Rusty says:

You are not the only one pissed about this.

  22. Miami_Bob says:

Personally who gives a rats a** what OBAMA does with his MAMA.. The only problem I have if he is tagging it, he should pay for it out of his own pocket. NOT MINE..

  23. billandlee says:

who is he 1000,000 dollar date, whats this cute he drove a chrysler 300 when he spent his money, and now hes bill gates

  24. SecretPolice says:

Hmm, nothing really wrong with a date night but I sure wish we could lay them off or cut their Expense account to Make them more in tune with the average Americans they Work for. Many these days have date night consisting of how to pay the bills & Taxes coming our way.

  25. CRF says:

This is probably the ONLY nice thing I'll ever have to say for Obama; I think it's wonderful that they have "date night". If more couples dedicated time to just being together the divorce rate would go down, and the marriage rate up.
That being said, my husband and I have date nights too, it includes telling our kids not to call unless someone is dead/dying, turning off all TV, computers etc, and pretending a blizzard is in full swing and there's nothing to do but huddle under the covers for warmth and whatever.
Point being: you don't have to spend a fortune of someone else's money to show your wife she's still #1.

  26. RB60 says:

As a former food service employee who every week made deliveries to Md., D.C. and Va., I can tell you that there are some fine eating establishments, even within walking distance of the White House (I passed by every Wed.) and a number of great entertainment establishments as well. We also delivered to Army, Navy and Marine bases, as well as the Pentagon, and I can tell you from personal experience, they have some excellent cooks on those bases.
Since this president has told the country to tighten our belts, it would be fitting for him to "lead by example", but I guess when you are "King", you don't have to, especially when it's the taxpayers who foot the bill.

  27. SSGMACSLADY says:

The continued travel all over the us with his speaches and now this TMI, makes you wonder when he is sitting at the oval office desk running this country like he was hired to do so. Our country is not your play ground BO and our tax dollars are not to be wasted on this BS anymore. Get your sorry arse behind that desk and DO YOUR JOB! The great words of Trump.."YOUR FIRED!"

  28. Mugwump says:

    Nite letter to bho,

You got em real pissed on this one… So what the hell are they going to do about it??? NOTHING!!

Press on as if you earned it… Gonna spend as much as you can till it waters down like zimbabwe money??

Don't forget church and sunday school… We're actually praying for you…
Best weapon there is… Suckulors can't even fathom it… Poor buggars…
