99 trillion. Hard for anyone to imagine that number. Where did all that money go? No wonder Bo gave away 2 trillion and didn't account for it. It's all funny money to him.
I agree with China. Amazing.
I have been thinking and watching all this happen in the last few months and I have been in disbelief that the President of the United States could actually want to distroy us, but that is the only logical conclusion I can come up with. There is no way that an intelligent, educated man could think that he could lead us to prosperity by spending us into oblivion. It's kind of like throwing a rock up in the air and then standing there with a straight face and tell us it's going to stay up there. The really scary thing is that half the american public believes him!

We were watching a program about China's economy the other night and I suddenly thiought, wow, maybe we would be better off living there than here. Obama is screwing this country into the ground, period. One theory I've heard is that he (and his wife) are angry blacks who are out to "make the white man pay" for all the perceived transgressions against minorities since 1776. Interesting theory when you think about his re-distribution-of-wealth plans!
Obama hates the founding fathers but so do most other politicians. Their ideas in the Constitution have "been in the way" for so long now.
The world hates us. They hate our empire and our greedy consumption and the fact is, none of the world needs our 300 million consumers anymore and they sure don't need the dollar.
The average Chinese household saves or invests up to a third of their income. They are the best capitalists on earth. The US is becoming the worst fascist regime on earth.
China is right to be worried. We're all worried. Pelosi went to China this week 1) to get her away from the media because she was getting caught in too many lies, and 2) to pave the way for Geithner's visit next week, during which he will beg the Chinese to keep buying our debt.
Its disgraceful, embarassing, and a tragic comment on the fate of the US economy.
I recently heard Glenn talk about the Confederate constitution. As a history/civics teacher, I agree! Slavery excluded, of course, the rest of the fallen constitution is actually pretty creative. The president serves for one 6yr term, period. The senators and reps would only serve two terms. The rest is pretty mundane but it does include provisions that if the govt wants to spend money, if the treasury has it, great, if not, it doesn't get done. Wow, govt. actually living within its budget!!
It's not rocket science, they would inherit, probably, all of the ex-staffers who do know the ropes. What would come out are bills to poorly written but in the right direction! It wouldn't be long before they would 'get it.' Wishing for a house cleaning is a good thing, we already know what we have now and its pathetic!
So, the ChiComs are in agreement with the Teaparties that the Feds are out of control. And they're communists? So you know its bad news when even THEY say BO's outta control!! They say 'honor committments' and BO says 'the presses aren't printing money fast enough.' Something is really out of control!!!
I'm with you "ALL" the way. Maybe China will "OPEN" the Democrat's eyes. Our voices have fallen on "DEAF" ears.
As Glenn puts it, Blood has been shooting out of my eyes for months. There is ABSOLUTELY no way we can continue this spending.
Can someone, somewhere show me where in the Constitution there is a RIGHT to health care? It is NOT my responsibility to take care of someone else, nor is it anyone's responsibility BUT my own to take care of me and my family. It's time for people to turn off Oprah and get off their butts and get a J O B. I don't care if you "don't want to work at McDonald's", they are HIRING and it's a paycheck.
My God people we MUST take this Country back or we are going to lose it forever. BTW, if you don't have a passport yet, GET ONE. You may need it someday.

Is there any truth to the 99trillion dollars in debt story. To what does this refer? Is someone saying that is the US national debt? I can't get my head around this figure. I have read 11trillion in wikipedia which is $37000 for each man woman and child in the country, but 99trill, that is $350,000.00 each. Surely this can't be right! Enlighten me please
No, but you are close. According to the Peter G. Peterson foundation all the unfunded liabilities plus accumulated debt total 56.4 trillion dollars or roughlty $180,000 per person as of Sept 30, 2008. The total breaks down like this – public debt 13.5 trillion, social security 6.6 trillion and medicare 36.3 trillion.
When you think of the recent spending by the government since September the national debt will balloon over the next few years, then consider the aging of the population, a poor economy, and increased interest rates and a shaky credit rating – we are in a heap of trouble. If the credit rating gets cut we will spend more money for debt service which we cannot afford. With an economy of 14 trillion in GDP and this debt mentioned above – we are bankrupt. I hope the Chinese keep buying our treasuries.
And they are still spending? It's no wonder the Chinese are worried. The only way to get money is to print it. How long before the Mexicans are protecting the border to stop the illegals from the north? Thanks for your help kckshrugged.

I hope all watch Gleen on Fox today. "Coach" from the show Coach said on national TV he won't pay for it anymore even if jail time is involved. It sounds insane but I am joining him. I will no longer support this runaway government. Nor will I allow my hard earned money go to bailing out states like Ca. This has gone way too friggin far.
I urge everyone to listen closely to the new VAT national sales tax crud. This has tanked so many countries and will certainly tank this one.

Maybe more of us should to this. I am too done. I went to Kansas the other day. Went to a local grocery store with my parents. We got behind a hispanic family, the wife was pushing a cart full of milk, bread, etc (the stuff good for you) and she whips out WIC (women, infants anc children coupons (kinda like food stamps)) and food stamps to pay for the stuff. Then her husband pushes his cart full of Budweiser, cigarettes, junk food and who knows what all, and pulls out 50's and 100's and pays cash for it. I was %@$% beyond belief. No wonder Kansas has taxes on everything, and high taxes to boot. We paid for our stuff (with money) and watched the hispanics fill their new 30K truck full of the stuff the tax payers just paid for. I would BET money that they were illegal too (except maybe for the 5 bambino's running around out of control).
The moral to this story is SOCIALISM only works for the people who abuse it. Take this Country back!

The VAT tax originally offered up as the "fair tax" was supposed to replace the income tax with all it's complexities.
Under the Fair Tax concept, you paid taxes on everything you bought, there were provisions that you would get a certain percentage back each year. If you think about it, the "progressive tax" that we currently have was established because it "wasn't fair"that the well off could have steak while the poor had hamburger. Over simplification I know but it's part of the concept. Tax those who make money at a higher rate so they can't afford more than those who don't make money. By the way, if you don't pay your taxes and then go to jail (federal prison) then me and others like me will be paying for your housing and food. That's not fair either.
So what do we do? Just don't file income tax or ask for it all back? What?
It is not hard to see that the Progressive movement in continuing. This administration wants to break the back of America. Right now I feel that 75% of the American people have no idea what is going on. Another 15% do not care and that leaves 10% who are us. We cannot stop this, period. All we can hope for is the 75% wake up and hope the ride isn't too rough.
Invest in precious metals such as Lead and Copper in convenient size and quantity such as 7.62 and 9mm. That will give you the best "bang for the buck".

EVERY REPRESENTATIVE (HOUSE OR SENATE) AND EVENTUALLY PRESIDENT MUST BE VOTED OUT REGARDLESS OF THERE LENGTH OF SERVICE! WE NEED A TOTAL PURGE!
We have to be careful about this because, if all are voted out that leaves Zero experience and I am afraid that may lead to caos for the first year until they figure out what needs to be done and how to go about doing it. Not to say I don't agree with you just we need to be careful what we wish for.
What I'm seeing now is chaos! I say it can't get much worse, so we might as well bite the bullet, let it disintigrate and let the new guys do their best. It seems to me that their best can't be any worse than the current clowns best!

Thirty years of Rasmussen polls shows an average Congressional Approval rating of +/- 30% yet the average re-election rate is >90%. Everyone thinks Congress is inept and crooked….except of course "their guy"……..It's time to take the chance of throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Wisdom has to be pursued. Today, officials are pursuing popularity and a place in history. Seems to me the ones who found a place in history were pursuing what was best for the nation not themselves. There is no wisdom in our government today.
