Why are we depending on the UN.
The United Nations has shown it is worthless. Both democrats, republicans, etc agree on this own thing. There needs a change within their organization.
There are many reasons they have killed their usefulness. 1) they have no power to enforce their "PEACE," 2) they are run by corrupt politicians, 3) they don't do anything, etc… Everything they have "accomplished" is thanks to some other body, and most of those times it was the United States. We are the largest supporter to the UN yet we have very little to no say in most matters. N. Korea knows we are the strength behind them and when we don't have the guts or the "Big Stick" they just spit in their face and kick dirt in the UN's face like every other bully with very little to back them up. Obama need to show our strength, that doesn't mean war, there are plenty of things you can do before war, and they show more strength than just idle talk like has been happening the last few months.
There is a site I have been telling people about lately, they called into Glenn Beck's show and ever since then have really made a difference. The website is http://www.americanparchment.com. Read some more into these articles and then come back and share some more insight. It has opened my eyes.

Keep your eye on Korea and the rest of the drooling dictators because the Prez is picking on Burris today! The Prez promised his seat to Jesse J. Jr but until Obama gets his way he will continue to pick on Burris while Korea is moving in! They used wire tapping on Burris….wasn't that reserved for the bad guys? Not U.S. Citizens!! Why Burris and not Nancy? I say Mr. President you need to grow up…FAST!

With the new saber rattling going on today it looks like the next nuke test will be in South Korea.

  4. bawnyfwank says:

I saw this morning on Drudge that the NK has abandoned the armatice of 1953. This is not good news at all.
This must mean one thing, they have bite to go with their bark. I think they have more nukes.
The citizens and soldiers of North Korea people must understand is that they have lived sheltered and censored from the rest of the world for more than two generations. The will fight to the last man. They do not know any better and propaganda is all the truth they know. Very scary for our boys in South Korea. We have 28,000 of our finest their now. Bet it jumps to 40k by the end of the week.
Could this be the big test big mouth Biden warned of?

  7. detestObama says:

I remember a couple years ago about the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong, who took over as leader, after his father died.
Kim Jong is a very Inmature person that isn't running on all 8 cylinders. His people are starving, and without any amenities, but Kim Jong spends the meager amount of money not only on weapons, but also on himself.
He must have the latest electronic equipment such as a 60" TV, and all the computer games that are available.
Kim cares nothing about his people. Most of what comes into the country, come froms China; Such as 90% of the oil, and 80% of the food. China must be donating these goods to North Korea, because NK can't fend for themselves.

What a travisty, the leader cares only about himself, and Ignors his people!

In some ways, Kim Jong sounds just like Barack Hussein Obama. They both spend all the money, and the people are going into poverty.

  8. Rahthrae says:

Obama will solve this problem with his newest strategy of diplomacy. He'll go on an asian tour, bow to the N. Korean president, and talk about how arrogant the United States is. He will then procede to show them understanding by telling the world that if Bush had not said they were part of an axis of evil, the N. Koreans would not have been pushed into acting this way. Damn that Bush with his cowboy diplomacy!

  9. Tandab says:

You know the Million dollar question in the White House Strategy room today was……. Who can come up with new terminology on how to blame this on Former President Bush.

  10. cajunpatriot says:

Obama is a weak leader, they know he's a weak leader and north korea is doing a great job of making him (and us) look stupid and nieve in the world comunity. Remember what Joe Biden said about Obama being tested early? Well this is test what?…. three or four (missle test fires, etc) and he has failed badly.

  11. knutjb says:

Unfortunately the left won't wake up until they, and us, hit about 1,000,000 degrees F, by then it's too late. Too bad the WH has pulled the funding on missile defense and the military in general so we all can have health care and other social feel good programs. Some how I don't think there will be enough beds in the burn units…

It was proclaimed that we would never allow another 9-11, now, I wonder if they really meant preventing a third attack on the world trade center as opposed to protecting the ENTIRE US from an attack. The writing is on the wall in flashing neon lights. Apparently letting the western US glow in the dark is a superior, long term method to prevent drilling for oil.

I expect history to repeat itself, just not so soon.

    • OldMarine says:

Maybe the target will be San Franciso, solves two problems at one time. Gives us a reason to take them out, and gets rid of a thorn in America's side. Maybe we'll ready get lucky, and Queen Nancy will be visiting her home district.

  12. EricaD says:

I am waiting for this administration to "Spin" this situation and rename what has happened. NK is no longer a member of the Axis of Evil, so perhaps they will be called 'Disenfranchised non allies" who are not testing Nuclear missiles but doing something Innocuous like " Overhead, airborne launched celebratory rocket show"
Come on Axelrod…. were all waiting to hear what this is going to be relabled as..

  13. gulagAmerika says:

First of all, I'm guessing the wine cellar the size of a trailer and the hundreds of concubines aren't treating ol' Kim Jon Il very well these days, judging from that picture.

"North Korea's latest move could clear the way for the United States and the other members of the six-party talks, minus North Korea, to impose new punitive measures against a country desperate for food and energy assistance."

I don't think Kim Jong Il has anything to lose. He looks as bad as Castro did, so what's stopping him from launching an attack? The guy looks like he's not going to last too much longer. Why would he live the rest of this life knowing that he at least didn't try? It just doesn't seem logical to me that he's doing all this just for show.

Plus, what does he care about his people starving? He hasn't seemed to care for a very long time – the man's pretty well fed, so why does his country mean anything to him? He's got total power over everything they do, and the mindset of the people is not going away soon.

  14. knutjb says:

I don't know, they might look at San Fran and see them as compatriots, but if you have to pick a place…

  15. kenoshax says:

shhh, i have a secret plan to fix this north Korea thing. first i send a bunch of O.J. Simpson sports memorabilia to Kim Jong Ill, then i break O.J. out of jail. then i buy a plane ticket. problem solved. now i know what you're thinking, that will never work. but i bet it will be a better plan than anything this administration will come up with.

  16. knutjb says:

  17. 1776time says:

Who does North Korea have to fear, certainly not us anymore. They showed that they will do what they want when they want.

  18. bawnyfwank says:

I'm no ivy league scholar but as Glenn say's I am a thinker.
North Korea has been sanctioned for 50 or so years now. Almost no one does business with them, so how do they have the funds, technical know how and the scientists to make nuclear weapons. I mean it is real rocket science to make a rocket or a nuke work.
I think that China or Russia or both are funding these "experiments" that NK is carrying out. They are doing it there to cover them and create tension between the west and them. I just don't think this story makes much sense. This would be like if Cuba developed their own rockets and nukes. How do they do it? They have to have help.

    • bbforbis says:

N.K. bought the technology from Russia. N.K. has no economy, but what the events of the last couple of day tells is, N.K. is on the Virge of having a "Nuke Garage Sale" and only those who hate America. N.K. needs money because they have none. Iran has plenty of money, and they have no active nuke weapons and they hate America and want nukes.

No need for a rocket scientist to figure this one out.

    • Bill Clinton made his contribution too. Don't leave him out!

    • Rattle_Snake says:

Very good point, I think you're right about China and/or Russia funding their nukes.

BTW I love your screen name. LOL

    • lnbarnes says:

Don't forget the aid that our country has given this mad man. We hoped to alleviate some of the humanitarian needs of the country, but that has gone directly to supporting their nuclear ambitions. I say NO to humanitarian aid of any kind and no money from anywhere that the US has a say on expenditures. If NK citizens starve, I am sorry, this regime has to fall or we will really pay for it and so will South Korea and Japan.

      • bawnyfwank says:

If the citizens are pushed any harder they will crack. They have lived under this regime for two or so generations. It is time for an uprising. The only problem is that they have lived censored from the world as well and for all they know they are the strongest country in the world, the soldiers will likely fight to the last man. So a war with them will be no easy thing. I saw on Drudge this morning that the North has abandoned the armatice of 1953. This must mean they have bite to go with their bark. I think they have another nuke.

  19. goldnhorde says:

I think we should point all our guns at them and demand a wrestling match to the death between our nations leaders.

i'm just going to say it: I think OBama could take him. Kim Jong Il is a little guy. I mean sure he obviously by default of being asian has got super fantastic, wirelike kung fu moves.

    that's a given …

but i think OBama could take him. I'm not a Obama fan in any way, i just think this would work. wrestling to the death. we win … Kim is dead … nuclear problem postponed at worst … Kim Jong wins …

I'm jsut saying he is little and looks like an old lady

  20. Minuteman79 says:

Still kicking aroung the idea for Nuke disarmament?…Cause I mean, we could get rid of at least one of those on the coast of N. Korea…Our bomb is bigger than your bomb!!!

    • knutjb says:

      THE LEFT'S RESPONSE:
Oh… when will you security first types learn the ONLY way we can convince Kim to see our point of view is to coddle him around a campfire and sing Cumbaya. Kim's father was a violent person who, we feel, was quite abusive and scarred him for life. So if he send a few nukes our way it's his way of expressing his anguish in life.

      A CONSERVATIVE'S RESPONSE:
What do you mean you haven't pushed the button yet?

  21. goldnhorde says:

(clears throut for a public service announcement)

    Dear China,

How have you been? I am fine.

I am sending this message as to let you know that NOrth Korea is becoming a big problem. I'm sure you do not know about this as you are responsible and would have already cleaned this mess up, instead of letting ti become a world issue. that's just the kind of great guy you are.

unfortunately, we can't buy anythng or improt anything from the asian region until this matter is settled. Everyone here is stupid and afraid of radiation and other conditions caused by these kinds of tests.

  22. srask1111 says:

I really don't want to find out, because I am sure you are right.

  23. JAMerch says:

I watched the nuke test story on Fox with my 12 year old homeschooled daughter. I got out the globe and said, see how close the Hawaian Islands are?

  24. CINDYHHJ says:

We need to remember that behind the self-proclaimed diety ruler supreme of North Korea are a people who are slaves, literally, to that man. Is there ANY way to help these people achieve independence and become free?

    • bbforbis says:

The only hope would be China, I think. China has N.K. by the short hairs, BUT. China will not do that because they do not want a flood of refugees into their country. That is a problem in many ways, because China also holds the key to get N.K. to back off their nukes. They likely won't, again, because they do not want the flood of North Korean refugees into China. U.S. no longer holds any cards in this situation because B.O. has sold our monetary souls to China. This is a very complex and difficult problem.

This is a huge problem no matter how you slice it.

      • CINDYHHJ says:

I think we should really start a global campaign that the North Korean leader is mentally unfit. And he is, just like Hitler and all the other psychotic bullies that have caused so much harm.

  25. mwb1951 says:

OOOOOOO … I'm sure the North Koreans are really shaking in their boots. The United Nations denounced their launch. Bad, North Korea, bad, bad. I'm sure their hands are really sore from being slapped.

  26. Bouttogo says:

"Ya know, I've been sitting here for a long time looking at this button and I ain't getting no younger or healthier.
    What I got to lose?
I want to see some real action before I die.
Hold my beer and watch this."

Think this is may be going thru his little round coconut head????????? Think this idiot would do it?????

    I do.

    • You really think Kim Jong (mentally) Ill would do that? Yeah, me too.

    • beckgether says:

I guess God could always have him die in his sleep. Then again why? Our president passes on our National Day of Prayer. Lincoln started it, but notice how after the election he has dropped Lincoln like a hot potato.

    • bipartisan says:

      You're right.
Who do think will be the first target South Korea, or Japan?
Either way, US will have to retaliate, even BHO won't be able to laugh it off and rename it as Overseas Contingency.
Then China attacks US, and invades Taiwan
I've got to stop now. I'm scaring myself

  27. SecretPolice says:

BH0 is about to give them a severe wagging of the finger and worn them that he may raise his voice and may go as far as slapping their wrist if they continue down this road and test and seek nukes.

  28. Bouttogo says:

"Ya know, I've been sitting here for a long time looking at this button and I ain't getting no younger or healthier.
    What I got to lose?
I want to see some real action before I die.
Hold my beer and watch this."

Think this is may be going thru his little round coconut head?????????

  29. jbacs says:

Next nuclear capable threat North Korea

  30. TDCobra says:

Wonder who next to set off a nuke. Does IRAN come to mind or it might just be your local human disaster producer. You know who it is just go look in the mirror the guy who might do it looks just like you remember that is what the B*och from Home land Insecurity said.

  31. Cliff_brown says:

Kim Jong Il is insane enough to do any thing he can get away with and sees our president as weak. That is not a good combination.

  32. RobynTaylor says:

Of Course North Korea wants to know what our President is going to do if they attack the United States. North Korea has a bigger nut than our President is.

  33. MikeinIdaho says:

Whew, the UN denounced the launch! that'll show 'em, by golly!

  34. Byboozian says:

There is still a chance Israel takes them out before Iran strikes. At least that's my hope.

  35. bipartisan says:

I agree with your hope, and Israel can do it, they've been practising.
The downside is that BHO is doing everything to suppress them, and to support the terrorists Hammas and Hezbollah who are Iran's proxy, and also backed by Syria, visited by Nazi Pelosi last year.
Add to that the fact that BHO is a muslim, at least by birth ,and by heart, no matter how much he denies it(which of course explains why he never listened to Rev Wright in 20yrs)
All this makes for a very scary scenario
