I work part time at the post office, (after retiring I needed more income, go figure) and sort mail. The amount of times that I see Obama or, this past week's cover of Michelle Obama, if I had a nickel… I wouldn't need to work at the post office. But it would seem that Obama is Time's poster boy, just as Clinton was CNN's. TIME, I think, stands for, "Trust In My Enunciations", just as CNN stood for "Clinton News Network". When ever the government runs the news media, usually means that all rights have been taken. Just as they have been in China and Russia… In those countries the government runs the "presses" the people get only what the government wants them to know. Never any opposing views, lest the "opposer" is imprisoned or executed.
I was just wondering in the name of truthful journalism, maybe the Times magazine will run the story of why Barock Hussein Obama personal records are all blocked or sealed from the American people. BHO is the first president or his administration in our history that has denied the people of this information. The people of this country have the right to know the background on who is making their decisions, and where and how did he get there. When you seek public office this information automatically should becomes public information. Who is this guy?? Also how does a person that family lived on food stamps in Hawaii?? become the Commander in Chief.. Yes, I believe in the American dream, but in this case its just a little too extreme..

Once upon a time, Time magazine and the New York Times newspaper were respected as unbiased disseminators of news. Now they are cheerleaders for Obama and his administration. It was sad to watch the fall of the NYT. Sadder still to have more faith in the truth of the articles/stories in the National Inquirer than in the New York Times and Time magazine.

I did some research and it appears that TIME magazine subscriptions are in a free fall. Constantly shoving Obama down readers throats should destroy what little is left. I say, lets get some more Obama stuff on the cover. Also, if you happen to see this rag lying about, be sure to remove and mail those annoying little cards they insert to try and get more subscriptions. Use an ACORN strategy and subscribe you favourite cartoon character.

The last time that I bought aTimes Magazine was after September 11, 2001. That was the first and the last for me. Everthing these days from the newspapers to magazines is about Obama. It makes me sick. Because he is a truly evil man that doesn't love this country or we the people. It is sad. He is President for Power and Greed. Anyway enough about him. I'm waiting for something else. A Bronze full body statue of Obama that people can visit to pray at I'll bet someone is working on it already. Then TIME can show the photos of all of Obama's diciples. This will verify he is a god. Yeh, right, a god that is giving American people hell with his policies. I've worked hard my entire life and he is making sure my last years will be as uncomfortable as possible. I think he is a downright mean and angry black man making sure the white man gets payback.

Acheyjake, we're almot there (4 hr speeches). He is on TV every day. It's the Presidential Reality Show. The insecurity of this fellow is amazing; he needs a support group besides MSNBC. Just wait until the Americans who voted for him wake up one day and realize they are more poor than they were today due to his spreading of the wealth. i did not renew my subscription to time because in the election season obama was on the cover seven times and mc cain one time,. that was even a shared cover with obama.

WOW I was thiinking the same thing today when i got a new one in the mail!! Since i started getting it i guess about 85% of them have had Obama on the cover, I dont even feel like reading it anymore!!

Let's call it out of TIME! I will never buy it or any other left wing Obama loving rag. I also won't go to a movie or watch a show on GE channels. It's not much but it makes me feel better.
After reading the article all I can say is that it is a fluff piece. The photographer and photo editors did a great job airbrushing and perfecting Michelle Obamas picture, but the article is worthless. No Substance what so ever. Time needs to be careful. When The National Enquirer is able to write more gripping articles than Time, something is really wrong.
I do not care what they call their magazine. Go ahead and change the name. It is already on the same downhill spiral as Air America. I am as sick of MichelleMyBelle Obama as I am of her husband.

I can't remember the last time that I read TIME. In fact I changed doctors because he had littered his waiting room with that rag. Maybe the Time readers are who the media is polling that keeps BO's popularity so high.

Every first lady has had the chance to use the position to champion issues. I would much rather see a Times article that tells me what she is going to DO.
If the coverage was more substance than style, I could give it consideration. When I think back on the first ladies in my lifetime, I can remember what they did rather than the details and designers of their fashion choices.
We'll see what she does with the privilege of the position. I'll give her that same benefit of the doubt that I would give a new neighbor. No more, no less.
As for Time, they need to acknowledge the millions of women in this country who have always lived up to the values and standards that Michelle is now supposed to inspire. OK with me if she can get some folks to clean up their act and be considerate of others.

I groaned when I saw that cover yesterday. This goes along with Newsweek's cover of "Obama on Obama". Hasn't he shown that he is a leader yet? All I have seen is a celebrity in chief and constant speeches that still sound like he is running a campaign. He is naive and dangerous in many things. He will sink all Americans with the way bills are being passed in name that it is an emergency. I would like to see critiques against Obama for a change. Oops, I vowed to not use that word after that long presidential campaign.
Having been Time Magazine's person of the year in 2006 I feel I can speak on this subject rather authoritatively. That said, I feel that this magazine seems to be nothing more than a propaganda arm for all the bad -ism's, progressive, social, communist, etc. Every time I open the magazine and read who the Editor-in-Chief is, I half expect to see Joseph Goebbels typed on the page. More importantly, if it actually was who would notice?
Wait a minute, I thought I was Time Magazines's person of the year in 2006. I'm a little confused.

I heard a report on Thursday that the White House released their own news junket TO THE NEWS SITES. That to me falls under the concept of Facism. Time is a "waste of time" to read / look at. That's not many places left to actually get real news.

Time magazine has become completely irrelevant. Liberals usually don't spend much time reading, although they must be at least putting down a few dollars for the cover price, then merely using the magazine to decorate their homes, on the coffee table or better yet, in the bathroom, hoping that guests might find something of interest while using the bathroom. Conservatives (at least the ones that I know) are the folks who spend a large amount of time reading, but of course we aren't reading Time magazine.
Time magazine, as well as CNN are slowly putting themselves out of business by their unabashed liberal bias. I say more power to them! They can't keep losing money at the rate they've been losing it for much longer without shutting their doors, so let's all sit back and watch them disappear! Then again, Bammie might wanna give them a bailout, then take over the companies just like he did with GM and Chrysler.

This past week I was waiting in doctor's office and picked up a couple of issues of Time. This is the first time I have looked at Time in over 10 years. The magazine has turned into a total joke. Do people actual waste their money by subscribing to this trite political advertisement?

They have to put it in doctor's offices free because its list of subsscribers is short very short.

I personally do not know anyone who buys this magazine however it does get good exposure at airport newsstands and is prominently displayed with it current messiah related message or cover photo. No sure how they stay in business but they clearly have a slanted view that the declining readership numbers would suggest does not appeal to any significant number of people. Probably mostly funded by the far left based on the consistent pro-Obama message.

Mens Health magazine has also decided to play the propaganda game. This infatuation with the president is unhealthy and dagerous. I can look at any WW2 era propaganda and see the same thing happening. Fasc-sim is knocking at our door, and the media is all to happy to welcome it.
Woman's Health magazine had an article on the Obama's romantic life. I read that magazine for tips on keeping myself healthy instead it made me sick.
During the campaign, Mens health had Obama on the cover, and had at least 2 if not three articles about him…John McCain,??? Well they had small a picture of him. A subscriber wrote to them the next month saying what he thought about it, and told them he was canceling his subscription, and all they said was how much that paricular issue would be worth in the future…showing no reguard for their subscribers whatsoever.
I am so sick of seeing these people on the cover of magazines that if I am in a check out line I will turn the back of the magazine to me so I am not forced to be ill.!

Attend a parade if there is one. Find a memorial at one of the veterans cemeteries. You don't have to know patriots personally to recognize their sacrifice. I was never more aware of that than in Gettysburg; as I walked the memorials and read the headstones, I had not expected to see so many inscribed "Unknown".

My husband and I take the opportunity to Thank those we see in uniform and buy them lunch or whatever if we are out and see them dining. I recently wrote a letter to apologize to them, in my local paper for what the President is doing to tear down all the good things they fought for! Is this the Michelle, my bell that said, "America is just downright mean." or the one that said, " For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction."
It seems this latest cover has given Michelle Obama has yet another reason to lift the chip off her shoulder and become even more proud of the country to which she was once ashamed. Here is an excerpt from the introduction to her college Thesis. This might help explain why her, and people like her, have a blame America first attitude.
"My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my 'blackness' than ever before, I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don't belong. Regardless of the circumstances underwhich I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second." Well thats just great Michelle! I guess thats why to me; you will always be an angry race-baiting America hater first–and first lady second.
The interesting thing here is how she perceives the world. There at Princeton, bastion of liberal thought and progressive action she felt racism from those who were not of her color. Declaring that somehow she could tell their thoughts and know their motivations. It is more likely her own insecurities drove her opinons of others. More importantly it goes to show that the real racism exists in this country today on the left. Only on the left do you hear things of this nature. Only from the mouths of "Progressives" do you get treated to the kind of speech that fuels these types of reactions.
IIIustrus,very well stated! I believe it is those insecurities that create barriers, which have much to do with a persons' attitude and how they carry themselves. People like her, view the world as tainted through a racial prism; in doing so, her interactions may only be as fruitful as the negative vibe she brings with her.

I used to have a subscription to Time Magazine. I dropped it the one year that of their 100 most influential people, Bush was not on the list but Rosie O Donnell (0f "911 was an inside job" fame) was. That was followed by the Dixie Chicks on the cover. I am always amazed when stupid singers or Hollywood actors think they know more than Bush even though Bush is briefed by the CIA, FBI and joint chiefs of staff and Hollywood gets briefed by their immigrant worker maids or roadies. Yeah. It seems anyone who called our president a name was held in high regard by that rag. My advice is don't waste your time. If it leaned any further left, it would fall off its editorial chair into the mouths of hungry dinosaurs at the world edge – and I would say good riddance to bad rubbish. Bon appétit, you dinosaurs.

As usual a death to America meeting will be held by Dick Durban, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid before the festivities get underway.
Those Jihadists unable to make it from Gitmo, Afghanistan, Sudan, Yemen, Pakistan, and Iran will be there via teleconference.
A Statue of Liberty pinata will be batted at with hard earned U.S. tax dollars inside to start off the festivities.
Pin the tail on the American infidel will be played in the early evening followed by the main event, a terrorist bachelor auction which is a favorite among the Democrats.
And to close out the night members of the media will get to take turns making out with Obama in the closet while congress counts down the seconds to see who makes out longest with him. Last years winner and raining champ Chris Matthews is expecting stiff Competition (no pun intended) from Keith Olbermann.

I received an In-Style subsciption as a gift, what an insipid publication. I can't even line the bottom of the litter box with it. The cat protests by going on the floor.
I've been watching the Simpsons from day one… have you noticed how liberal even they have become lately? All the political jabs at conservative beliefs and values. Its almost sickening to watch anymore, and that doesn't take into account the slapstick style in your face jokes they try to pass off as humor these days.
That's why I disconnected the sattelite dish. When you have Nickelodeon preaching liberal values and having an Obama love fest for children, I knew it was time to cut if off.
I started my subscription to Time when I was 16 and held it continously for nearly THIRTY years, I even got two Letters-to the Editor published. I lived to read Time and often read it cover to cover. Roughly six years ago I noticed a distinct change, the magazine went from reporting the news to liberal proselyting. The final straw was yet another unbalanced Bash Bush issue. I didn't even wait for the subscription to expire. I called the 1.800 number and told the operator they just lost a three-decade long customer and demanded a refund for issues I no longer wanted. Today's Time isn't fit to line the cage of a parrot with diarrhea. Mr. Luce must be spining in his grave.

So…journalism, especially inverstigative journalism is now one of those professions we can classify as extinct!
We used to demonize "elected" leaders of supposed "democratic" countries of something called "cults of personality". What's next? A Hugo Chavez style takeover while the press happily applauds?
For the moment, you are correct regarding investigative journalism. I personally think some will begin to wake up as they notice that B.O's words do not line up with the truth. People STILL have their heads buried in an orifice somewhere…..

Everyone I know who has ever subscribed to this magazine has allowed their subscription to lapse because it's gotten so liberal, so pro-Obama. They should call it the Obama Monologues.

This is silly. Why just Time? Well over 90 percent of the publications out there are in a contest with each other to see who can provide the most coverage on Obama, all positive of course. Let's just make the magazine names more honest so that we at least know not to expect any real news or objective coverage. Time could become: "TIME for Obama". Newsweek could become: "Obama's Week". US magazine could become: "HIM" weekly. PEOPLE could become "Obama and his PEOPLE". You get the picture.
Walking through a bookstore and through the magazine section makes me sick to my stomach. It's like we live in China or something, where the leader's face is imposed everywhere and on everything. Great headlines too, like "Why is Obama So Great?", "Is He Really the Savior?", "Why Everyone Loves Obama", etc., etc.
Never buy People magazine..and next time you are in line……..make a joke about it. A joke is like a mini revolution in itself. It's part of the Allinksy Method that Obama taught. Make sure people hear your jokes…. political correctness is a term coined by Carl Marx. No more quiet passive people.

This country will no longer be the United States when King Obama finishes his terror on the country. I thought the terrorist where in the Middle East, but the more I read and see Washington D.C. operate, I know the terrorist are in both parties working in Washington D.C. Plus, some of the big corporations now seem to be terrorist because they are afraid of the Feds.
Time magazine can paint MO anyway they choose to, for me she remains an angry, bitter women with no class .btw, I have not bought this rag of a magazine in years.
The whole idol thing of Obama by the media is being laid on so thick it surely has to run its course and fade out like a fad, doesn't it? It's getting to where I practically have to close my eyes to avoid all the Obama coverage, magazines, books on display around the check out counters in stores. My eyes have become attuned to scan right over all of them without really seeing his face, though. I do feel like I'm living in the twilight zone. It's so insane.

That's OK, I'm sure there will be a good sized black market out there when the time comes. Even the Kremlin, I mean the White House, will be supplied when the free market shuts down.
The problem is that almost the entire media "culture" is madly, passionately, and hopelessly in love with "The Chosen One". I can remember a day when the media would be impartial; when they called it down the middle, living what Fox news advertises (but doesn't deliver) "We report, you decide". It's now up to us, the common citizen, to determine what is the truth and who is telling it. I can tell you that the vast majority of the media isn't living up to this heavy, burdensome task.
Might as well. They're always on the cover. Glad I never read the rag. The media is what got him elected in the first place and they can't resist reminding us on a daily basis.
Here in Illinois, when Rahm Emmanual was in charge of the Chicago Public Schools, he used taxpayer dollars to bus loads of school children down to Springfield to rally for a gun control bill.
