Either she is Lying about her knowledge of Waterboarding, or she is telling the truth – which means she is completely incompetant and unable to perform her job correctly. Either answer is 100% unnacceptable for such an important position.

Don't be fooled by this action. Piglosi call the CIA liars for saying she knew about interrogation techniques, says she didn't and Panetta blows steam about it. Instead of doing a full investigation to revael the truth now suddenly as Rodney the Ca. punching bag said"Can't we all just get along!" Slight of hand happening here! We will never know the truth cause the rug has been lifted and the SH*T is being swept under it. Typical of this Government For The Government in spite of the people!!
Panetta's comments are what normal people sound like: reasoned, evaluative, thoughtful remarks from someone who works hard to do his job well. This is in opposition, of course, to elected officials, like Pelosi, who make speeches that are so off-the-wall, lacking in character, and self-serving that we can't stomach it. Term limits, term limits, term limits.
I would like Congress to move on also – to another profession. My very favorite Rasmussen poll was the one where 49% of Americans felt that if you replaced Congress with random names out of a phone book, things would improve. I know this likely sounds self serving, but I honestly believe my neighbors and friends have more ethics and common sense and would be better with the taxpayer dollars than the people we have now. Oh, there is also the case that they (Congress) takes no responsibility, even if they charge us something like $170,000 a year plus expenses. How can everything be Bush’s fault when there are 536 legislators in Washington? If the only person who ever worked a day was Bush, then get him back and fire the other 535 lazy bums who tell us they are responsible for nothing. Maybe that means they do nothing?

Director Panetta knows what he is talking about. I speculate this is his way of telling Pelosi to can it or face the consequences.

Pelosi needs to admit she lied and apologize. She has tried everything to avoid which I say speaks volumes about her character.
It has been suggested that she suffers from botoxicity. Apparently it scrambles the value genes and you end up morally and ethically bankrupt.
Of course the Director of the CIA wants to move on. It is a distraction away from BH0, who has to be in the spotlight. Also, think about the materials that may come out if this is pushed and hearings are called, like the renditions under the Clinton admin., and wasn't the director part of that administration, what don't they want out there? Are they "guilty" of waterboarding and other "crimes"? Would it be a stain on Slick Willy? There is more then just the Bush admin that info can be requested. The subject of rendition can be another can of worms for the Dems.
Finally, as long as this is going on the less time they can spend on destroying America, so in the admin's mind, lets move on before the entire mess is exposed.
Pelosi, Obama, Biden, all the Senate all the congress , now the cia and the guy in charge of that Panetta. They are so busy ruining the America our veterans have fought and died for that we don't have anyone in charge of the asylum. No ethics in D.C. , no bipartisanship, no truth, no honesty, no love of country, just hate filled rhetoric from both sides and no work getting done by those who should be following our constitution and the laws of our country. I can't think of one who is worth saving. They all deserve to go down together. What a sad time in our history. I hate to break the news here, but there isn't potential to interfere with the intelligence agencies abilities here. This is true because it is happening. Until these people are held accountable for their mouths and actions, nothing will change. When managing large dollar Construction projects I always adhered to the standard I wanted people working for me to, "Don't tell me what you can do, show me what you can do." The people we have elected show me nothing and I don't know who that makes more stupid, them or me. I am however able to admit I made a mistake in my votes and am ready, willing and able to change that, and that is about the only change I want right now.

After watching Nancy Pelosi's interview the otherday, It is painfully obvious that she is not mentally capable of holding her current position and needs removed asap.
I get it, if Bush's butt was the only one on the grill the barbeque would begin. Yet now that good 'ol Nancy has stepping in a hot pile, we're gonna just drop the issue for the country's sake. Panetta has been around long enough to know that a distraction like this puts us a risk for a number of reasons. BH0 will quietly call the shots from the sidelines, where he can remain 'above it all.' I don't give a crap if Pelosi apologizes or not. I want her to step down, and will give huge kudos to the Repub that demands it in the name of national security.

One has to think how his one move may effect future possible moves. For now I am enjoying watching her on the receivership end of "social justice."
This is not a witch hunt. It is a search for the truth like the she and others have been requesting. I would like to know the truth as well. Our country's future depends on everyone on the left , the right. and anywhere in between to quit playing games. I take this very seriously. I have lived in a socialist country and have had tours of elegant castles and Dachau. I was 18 at the time and I will never forget the feeling I had standing in that camp. I came home thankful that I have been so blessed to live in this country.

Pelosi LIED to congress, the media, and the American people. This is the same type of case as the impeachment of Pres. Clinton. (thank God the only pres. Clinton) He wasn't on trial for doing the mambo on a pool table with someone other than his wife…He was in trouble for Lying about it. I am grinding me teeth because I cannot stand Pelosy, and I would love to see her be removed from her position as 3rd in line to the president. I want to see her heald accountable, she should at least loose her position as speaker. But it should be for lying to congress, and only for that reason…But we cannot allow ex post facto laws to gain a foothold, that would spell certian doom for our legal system.

It will be interesting to see how long Panetta survives. Since Obama's allowing Pelosi and Reid to craft the health care bill, he can't tolerate too much open-mindedness from Panetta. My guess is unless the Republicans bring down Pelosi, Panetta's not long for this world politically speaking.

CIA Director Paneta and Speaker Pelosi are not close, in fact they are at opposing sides of the party. While I have little use for Speaker Pelosi, I do have respect for Leon Paneta and even more respect now and I am a committed conservative. He put his country first, which is much more then I could ever say of the Speaker.
Leon Panetta has also seen the files, reports and is very much aware just how dangerous the world really is. I am sure that when we look back on the Bush years, we will find that he did a great job protecting us from many attacks. I am not the biggest Bush supporter on many issues, but in this area, Bush was outstanding.
