She is clearly lying, does not support or defend the constitution, and should be removed from office for high crimes against the United States.
I have a vague memory of a man, about two centuries ago, being elected to the British Parliament. As soon as he was elected, he gave a speech in which he told the electorate that he thanked them for their trust, but that they mustn't believe he would do everything for them that they wanted, unless it served the interests of the country first. That's exactly idea behind Congressional elections. All of sudden, though, people, long before us, got caught up in what their Representative or Senator could do for them…
The upshot of all this is that the people is the ultimate cause of the corruption in Congress. Most of us haven't been part of the corruption… we simply didn't pay attention, and they've simply gotten more brazen about it. The only way to stop it is to prove that the majority of us are not corrupt, and that we won't stand for it in them.
By the way, Britain has it's problems in this area as well. Did you see the stuff about the expense reports for the British MPs?
ITS ALL BUSHES FAULT OF COOOOOOOOOURSE!!!
It all makes sense now!………………
I just laugh at these matters at this point…
Really? Bush's fault again. Please come up with something new. I am not a Bush fan at all, but come on Dem's. Please come up with a new slogan other than "Bush did it". These people are out of control. Everyone not reading the 5000 year leap needs to get it today and start reading right away. The book is amazing. Where did we go wrong. The founding father's of our country would not recognize this country if they were alive today.
If she had no idea what the person briefing her was talking about, all she really had to do was either ask HIM questions or get someone who knew what they were talking about to "translate" the dry, boring briefing that she apparently got so that everything was crystal clear.
I'm assuming she was spacing out and missed that part of the briefing because it was boring to her. Even if she wasn't Speak of the House at the time, she could have easily demanded to be rebriefed.
I find it funny that she is so adamant about not knowing at one point but admits to knowing later on.. what is the difference? At some point in time Nancy P. knew waterboarding was being used and she said and did nothing. It pokes a huge hole in the self rightousness of the dems as they were right there with everyone else and if a witch hunt is what they wanted.. A witch hunt is what they got. Funny thing about witch hunts, they take on a life and direction all their own. While were looking at things.. wasnt it Dianne Fienstein that let the cat out of the bag earlier this year with the drones on bases of a country that wasnt supposed to be cooperating with us.. OOPS.. so here she is screaming about waterboarding, when did she find out? I honestly wouldnt put it passed Dianne to have tanked Nancy. If I remember right they didnt exactly like one another.
If Obama was a smart man, he would blanket amnesty the whole lot, classify everything and put this baby to bed. But he wont, while we are all hounding Nancy he is shoving health care and cap and trade down our throats. Like Glenn always says whats that left hand doing?
When a politician points, there are four fingers pointing back at them. Judge not less ye be judged.
I believe it was George Washington who said "It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one".
Maybe if Pelosi and the rest of the cabal on capital hill would read more of the founding principals some of it might, just might rub off. But I doubt it.
Pathetic.
Nope, then they would have to learn what the Constitution really means. These people are a disgrace to the true founding fathers.
I just don’t understand why the progressives could work to have such incompetents as their senior ranking representatives. The Vice President and the Speaker are such jokes everyone can see it. You would think people smart enough to rapidly rip away the freedoms Americans enjoy and install fascism would have at least combatant appearing leaders.
Nancy Pelosi is the perfect example of a career politician. When confronted, mislead. When asked, deny. When challenged, lie. Even though she is no mental giant and third in line to the most powerful position in the world, she is a career politician. We all must, for the sake of our liberty, make sure that in the future we must prevent the career politician from holding office. We must, by our actions and votes, make certain that we use our power as granted by the constitution to elect those who will serve the people justly, not those who wish to pursue a career.
This is not as difficult as it may seem. We just adhere to the principles of the Founding Fathers, the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Our Nation's original founding principles and values are what will preserve our liberty.
Bless our flag, our people and our nation.
Joeray saying I am a patriotic Viet Nam Veteran ready to fight again.
Joeray – while I hold absolutely no love for Nancy Pelosi, she is a perfect example of what is wrong with our litigious culture today. "Admit no wrong" has become a defense against the "lawsuit". A few years ago, I, a lowly peon in my company was told by the owner to "Never admit an error to a client" as this could open the company up to a lawsuit and render the company's errors and ommissions bond insurance coverage null and void. This troubled me on many levels. First, I take great pride in the job that I do, however, I do make mistakes – and have never had a problem standing up and saying – "I screwed up, I made a mistake." This is a value instilled in me from my parents – admit when you have made a mistake, take ownership, then make it right. Second, I had a very real problem lying to my clients. Even though my clients were paying my employer's
invoices, I was the one who had day to day contact with them. They trusted me, not the company who was sending them the bill. I was the company to them. And, I still had a conscience. I understood my employer's point of view, but could not lie to the clients I had day to day contact with. Fortunately I was never in the position to compromise my values, but the mere fact that my employer expected me to do so forced me to seek alternative employment.
Nancy Pelosi is the worst sort of human being. She is power driven. Think of her as the head cheerleader in high school one who thinks the entire world revolves around her. For, no matter her age, that is exactly how she is and how she is acting. She plays petty games, thinking, believing that she is the end all. She feeds on the power she has obtained and is in absolute fear of loosing said power. She believes, on the surface that she is doing the right thing. But….in fact, her unconscious "tells" – the stuttering, the blinking, the "deer in the headlights" look belies her real self. She KNOWS she is wrong. She knows she is covering. It is only a matter of time until her house of cards comes falling down.
I believe that our Constitution will prevail. We, as a nation, will find our way back to our founding principles, we will find our way back to God, for without him we cannot survive.
How do you tell when a politician is lying? ……Their mouth is moving.
I'm tired of all the politicians from both parties. We need to return to the idea of a statesman who puts the country before their party. Someone who accepts responsibility instead of just blaming a previous administration. We need our elected officials who are called to serve. We have too many politicians who serve only in order to receive adulation from men or to seek power and control over the very same people they are supposed to serve.
Maybe we don't deserve any better. But unless we educate ourselves and demand good character when we enter the voting booth then I'm afraid we will continue to get what we deserve.
