  1. Bamabelle says:

They drink koolaid, remember? They worship Obama and he can do no wrong. They actually think he IS THE Messiah. Wow, are they going to be disappointed when they find out he can't rise from the dead.

  2. Flyle says:

Obama reversed this for two reasons.

    Piglosi is involved.

And he doesn't want to make Vice President Cheney look like a hero because Obama knows damn well the enhanced interrogation techniques worked and got information that saved American lives.

  3. Flyle says:

Why haven't we just executed these prisoners already. 240 bullets and this whole issue is over.

So why hasen't anyone asked Obama the real question yet about torture:
If your wife and two daughters were in a car with a bomb and you had a terrorist sitting in a chair in front of you with a cell phone…..only the terrorist knows the code to put into the cell phone and send it to disarm the bomb, and it is set to go off in 1 minute. Mr. Obama…….do you resort to torture of the worst kind to get that code, or do you pull out the worthless Army Field Manual and let your wife and two daughters get blown into pieces on 60 seconds?

Obama, we know your answer. Its the same answer anyone who is against torture would choose. You would torture them without mercy until he gave you that code.

  4. MikeinIdaho says:

Where was the justice for the people killed in the twin towers and the Pentagon?

  5. Minuteman79 says:

He is worried about Pelosi, I am 90% sure that he wouldn't even blink if she were not involved.

  6. ISEEU says:

Looks to me like the CIA is in the same situation that AIG was. It appears to me that President Obama is again wanting to be the only thing between them and the pitchforks.

  7. OldMarine says:

I just re-read what I wrote, and sometimes my brain thinks faster then I type, I should have said, \”should sign an executive order.\” My bad!

  8. goldnhorde says:

you can't be the "GOOD GUY" for making people do what should have never been done , AND THAT COULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED IN THE FIRST PLACE, by taking back what made you a bad guy.

I'm really tired of this "Self-Necessitating" theme, where our government causes train wrecks and then "rushes to the rescue" in spandex like they are really reaching out and helping us "wretched folk who just don't know no better".

It;'s the only fight they want. one where it is planned with no opposition. It's gotten to the point that some poeple think they can call me a racist when i disagree with them. that has becopme culture. don't they understand that everytime they "cry wolf" with the word racist, it loses more and more meaning and shows more and more hypocrisy?

  9. bipartisan says:

The annoited one has flipflopped once again, this time with a good result, however this issue should never have been raised.
    A general point about prisoner abuse;
Several years ago Stanford U, did a 1 month experiment where they divided students into 2 groups, 1 group was assigned as the guards, the other group became the prisoners. the experiment had to be stopped before it was half way through, because the guards were abusing the prisoners

  10. gk4freedom says:

Nancy Pelosi is again saying that the Bush administration was misleading her. Now (today) she is calling out the CIA under the guidance of fellow Dem Leon Panetta, and accusing them as well, of misleading her. Nancy…shut up…it's ok to admit that you may have had a senior moment…I have to all the time….just because the voters of your district in California have given you the priviledge to serve America, doesn't mean you never make an error in judgement. For America's sake, fall on your sword on this one…and consider the damage to our nation's security… if you do not.

  11. chulai says:

I guess I was censored. I wanted to support Mr. Cheney, but I must have said something wrong. I believe that within the next 4 weeks that the man in the White House already knows that his position will be overturned by the ACLU . In other words, Mr. Holder already knows that the President's position is in defensisible…and that the ACLU will win in court. So, the President can win on the left and right. Very Clever as usual.

    • Gregory says:

Excellent observation. But I would bet the farm that someone leaks these photos regardless of what TOTUS says. He appears to be doing the right thing, but he already knows that these photos will get out to the public. At some point, he needs to quit playing the part of Pilot, and get his hands dirty.

    • LadyOrf says:

      I hope not.

  12. CapNball says:

C'mon, guys! If anyone thinks for one moment that Obama did the right thing for the right reason, they need to do just a *wee* bit deeper thinking on the matter.

Sure, he did the right thing. We won't go into exactly *how* much damage he did to the morale of our intel community or the military, nor of the lives he has placed in harm's way by what he did thus far. We don't NEED to get into that to see this for the simple self serving ploy it is. Were those pictures to be released on schedule, they would have thrown a HUGE monkey wrench in the CinC's upcoming Muslim World Tour.

Plain and simple, he did not release those pictures because he didn't want the "Lalalalalalalala" choruses surrounding his whole trip.

This man doesn't have America, its people, or its good in his heart.

  13. detestObama says:

I think Obama may still release the material. Right now he is being heavily pressured by the ACLU, and some of the congress, such as Nancy Pelosi.

  14. ghostsrus says:

In my opinion, BO and his gang decided (along with the ACLU), that he would announce "his" decision to not release the photos and then the powerful ACLU will go back to the Supreme Court and they will order the release of photos; BO comes out "Smelling like a rose".

  15. Toonman says:

The real reason he will not release the photos AT THIS TIME is he wants to be adored in Egypt. If he were to release the pictures the press would HAVE TO show the pictures of the rioting, they couldn't sweep it under the rug.

  16. DonBCG says:

I think they release them for Barney Frank. Since he is so fat and gay he needs some Barney Porn. Hey thats what we can call it Nancy and Barney Porn. Obama Does Gitmo. Okay, sorry kinda sick.

The whole thing reminds me of a proctology exam.

  17. floridagal says:

I think we have….. but the party is over!!!!!!!!!   :)

  18. JansKid says:

Partisanship is when our politicians redefined compromise.

Instead of working together and actually compromising on issues, compromise has become "you vote for my pet projects, I'll vote for yours". Is it any wonder the spending is out of control?

Unfortunately Obama fell into this pattern, and it is costing him. It's like he stood in the center of a room, had his staff surround him with open bear traps ready to snap, and now he's trying to walk to the nearest door.

Trap 1: Oh… we need a PLAN to close Gitmo?

Trap 2: National security is weaker? Oh oh, I hope we don't have another major terrorist attack.

Trap 3: The economy is not rebounding even with stimulus spending? That also could kill the possibility of a 2nd term!

Trap 4: Releasing part of the classified torture memos but not all? Who ever saw that as causing trouble?

This administration is PROOF that taking positions on policy based on the "D" or "R" after your name is a really BAD thing to do. The President has trapped himself in the center of a room, surrounded by bear traps waiting to snap,.

  19. dolphins says:

Here Obama made the right decision. This link gives agreat analysis of why:
    http://www.thebarackobamawatch.com/TERRORISM.html

  20. detestObama says:

Hitler, I mean Obama, has changed his mind again, and will not release this material, at least untill the ACLU forces him to, again. Iv'e found out, when Obama says he'll do one thing, you can bet he will do something else the next day or so!

  21. detestObama says:

Hitler, I mean Obama, has changed his mind again, and will not release this material, untill the ACLU forces him to again. Iv'e found out, when Obama sayes he'll do one thing, you can bet he will do something else the next day.

  22. floridagal says:

Yes, you did it right and I'm on board! I am sorry about your granddaughter and will pray for her. I too come from a military family (father and husband) so be sure to thank her for me for her military service. I think that is why we are so upset with this administration…Obama, in particular, but I'm willing to bet most have never seen military service of any consequence.

    • nanceintx says:

Thanks for your reply and your prayers. I have been a member on this site for a while…just didn't post. I am a widow since last May, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and I am finding myself so frustrated with the way that things are happening so fast that you cannot keep up. Now it is defense budget, national health care, hearings on the "torture" along with so many other things. How do we grab hold of all of it? When I was 4 years old my father left for overseas in WW2 and was gone for 2 1/2 years so I guess that I would say that I am from a military family.

      • floridagal says:

You are so very welcome!  I feel your pain…. I have been a widow for 12 years, mother of 3, grand to 6.  My family on both sides have been here since the 1600's… I can't tell you how it pains me and frustrates me to watch what's going on.  Of course, God will have the last say in this and justice will be served… but when it's in your face, you feel compelled to say something, do something that might make a difference.  At the end of the day, prayer and faith in God is the only thing that matters.  Sorry if it took so long to respond… I had to go and fix myself a huge anti-oxidant drink after watching the Pelosi new conference!  Keep the faith!  You are not alone!!

  23. pslwd says:

It's disgusting that Obama is releasing the memos. To even think of releasing the photos was totally reprehensible and shows you what a low life he is. Anything to please the left. Polls show that the majority of Americans did not want those pictures to be released. By not releasing the photos, he is trying to retain his favorable rating.

  24. 1SGUSARET says:

Not worried about these Photos. Next time we take no prisoners.

    • Siggy40 says:

How about next time, no photos.

      • 1SGUSARET says:

Perhaps I should have said" I am not worried about these photos, I am worried that next time we will take no prisoners. No prisoners, No photos? We do not need another Mei Lai massacre. Being the civilized side of the fight requires us to act civilized and unfortunately does not really put the same requirement on the other side. Remember in “Red Dawn”; “I am used to being on the side of the freedom fighters,“. Our values and honor are being tested with our patience.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

Sometimes when good men are pushed to hard even the best make mistakes.

    • mwb1951 says:

I agree completely, 1SGUSARET! My 91-year-old father, veteran of WWII and Korea feels the same way. No prisoners. They're just too much trouble. Sad to be writing this but it's the practical approach.

      • 1SGUSARET says:

Than him ,for me, for his commitment and service . How does he feel about the Chosin reservoir? Prisoners are trouble. You can just allow them to go somewhere else (allow them to retreat), or you can disarm them and release them. Both are bad choices. Sometimes making a bad choice is better than making no choice.

    • Toonman says:

The problem was, kids took the photos in an attempt to get cred with their buds. It was a damn stupid thing to do. I remember the credo on my cruises. No pictures and whatever happens in port stay in port. Or in their case the Abu Graib etc.

      • 1SGUSARET says:

How about "Do the right thing". Then you don't have to worry about who might have a camera.
“whatever happens in port stay in port.” No Just like the Vegas line. It does come out someday. Disease, debt, addiction, or your buddy talks at the wrong time. No man is as good as he believes, that is why an honorable man is easier to blackmail than a dishonest one.
Abu Graib, was a bad decision on the part of those involved, and they were let down by their supervisors. The 1SG should have been checking on his soldiers, they would not have been as likely to do it if someone was watching them. Their commander let them down by not providing better guidance and insuring supervision.
I always had great soldiers working for me. I kept an eye on them even when it was “inconvenient” for me; not because I did not trust them; but because I cared for them.

    • ghostsrus says:

Agreed! In war with "creatures" whose only goal in their life is to kill you or wipe you off the map, our ROE should be unrestrained, so our soldiers can do the right thing in their battles to kill or be killed. No prisoners, "mistreated detainees" (coming soon to a town near you on our dime)!!!

      • 1SGUSARET says:

It is not a “Sci-fi movie”, we are fighting people. Fathers and Sons who may or may not love their families as much as you do yours, Please do not marginalize people because you do not agree with them, that is a tactic of the current administration. I have lived with them, attended weddings and funerals with Turkish Moslems. Many do have a different standard than we do, We should and must set the standard for being civilized as high as we can without sacrificing our security. I can kill someone I disagree with, and Kill someone I agree with, but don’t take it personal. War is an extreme form of politics. Politics is force. Force without justice is tyrannical. Now for the 6 thousand dollar question… What is Justice? What is justice without mercy?

    • Minuteman79 says:

Sounds like a plan to me.

  25. gsteinbacher says:

Don’t get me wrong, I think it is a great thing that he is not releasing the photo’s, but call me skeptical, this man has flip flopped so much since he has taken office he’s like a fish out of water. When it is beneficial to him he will release the photo’s, other wise he would not be still fighting the court battle and wasting more tax payer dollars, he would have said they were not being released due to national security implications and that was final, end of story. If or should I say when he does release the photo’s I think a photo of 911 should be attached to everyone of them for comparison or as reference as to why we did what we did.

  26. CC76 says:

I've been checking other site's the lean left of the aisle and the poster's there are praising Obama for his decision. They praise Obama for everything he does. Release the CIA memo's – praise him for that. Not release the photo's – praise him for that. The completely contradict themselves on a daily basis with their posts / comments. The memo's did so much damager to our country and put our troop's in more of harm's way. Now the President feels this will hurt our troops. I'm at a loss. Does he only watch poll numbers and make his decision based on that information. I honestly feel that he is not releasing the photo's because he know's how hurtful the memo's were and how upset the majority of the people are. Our work to take back our country and put it back on the right path is going to be extremely difficult. Our "elected officials" really just have no clue. But I'm ready to do it. Let's get going.

  27. MikeinIdaho says:

My take his that Obama does what's best for Obama, and to hell with EVERYONE else! He'd throw his grandmother under the bus to make himself look better!
Oops, I forgot, he DID throw his grandma, and LOT's of other people under the bus! What a guy!

    • gsteinbacher says:

Even my five year old get's that. I always listen to the Schnitt Show on the way home after I pick him up from school and about a month ago he heard obama's name mentioned and he said I don't like him Daddy and I said oh really why? he said do you remember when he threw his Grandma under the bus that was not very nice.

  28. floridagal says:

Where does the ACLU get the sanctimonious feeling they are representing the American people? They have single handedly done more harm to this country than good….. say 98% bad to 2% good. I think they should not be allowed to exist. They are so out of balance and have become a voice and mighty power for the liberal left. I despise the ACLU !!!!!!!!

    • detestObama says:

I have said it before, but, the ACLU was created about 1923, when the Communist party here in the USA was being looked at as an unAmerican enity, so the Communists went underground as they created the ACLU.

That is a fact that the ACLU can't wiggle out of!

      • floridagal says:

Thank you for the info.  I always suspected something!  They should re-name themselves: UACLU  (Un-American Civil Liberties Union)

    • Specialties says:

Why can we not be more inclusive of the anti Christian legal eunichs???

  29. Gary_Shaw says:

Pelosi, Reid and Company are right about one thing. There are people that need to be brought up on charges. Everyone of those that released to the press classified information. That would be the Prez, the Administration, Pelosi, Reid, and any other member of Congress that spoke of these matters and released the memos.

These morons, by their position, are granted security clearances that allow them to see classified documents and to be briefed on classified matters.

  30. TJwasright says:

If the MSM is touting this reversal as proof that Obama is "growing into the role of president" they are dumber than he is. Obama wouldn't know leadership if it came up and bit him on the butt. If you read between the lines, I suspect what happened is that the Joint Chiefs of Staff read him the riot act about what will happen to him politically if he allowed the photos to be released. Someone on Fox noted that after the Abu Ghraib photos were released attacks on our troops in Iraq were up 200%. Even Obama isn't naive enough to think the country would stand for our troops being murdered because of a stupid decision on his part. You just gotta wonder why the brain trusts who advise him didn't consider that to begin with before he opened his mouth.

  31. rcalogeroglo says:

These photo's should not be released, Mr. Obama did the right thing by not releasing them. We can not waiver from freedom and if it means we step on toes to do so, well so be it. Information gathered has saved american lives, so I am all for doing what is necessary. Remember, these enemies think nothing of taking off your head in the blink of an eye. Law Enforcement needs whatever tools are available to do the job of protecting america, as for the bleeding hearts, do the job and then tell me what you think!!!

    • sandyjo53 says:

I could not agree more, this is the first smart thing he has done, what good will it do, other then to get the terrorist that we have aloud in this country to get angry and retaliate, maybe he should release the videos of what the terrorist did to our solders! everyone seems think we do torture, show them the videos and see how the americans feel then.

    • ISEEU says:

Really? So you think these pictures could be worse than the Abu Ghraib prison photos the Liberal media released? Really? Where was the concern for troops then?

  32. GodHelpUsAll says:

If the White House says "not so fast" I say HURRY UP…..there's got to be a reason.

  33. bipartisan says:

    absolutely screwed
He has had to make a military decision, 4 days to "allow" the seals to rescue cpt Philips, and then BHO took all the credit

  34. roxym says:

He didn't do the right thing for the safety of the military….there's always angle with him…..no decent President would have even considered inciting the terrorists to riot in the first place…..notice I said "decent President"…

  35. Dustyluv says:

Our leader is so friggin wonderful isn't he???? Wow does he know how to cover both bases at once or what??? I will, I won't I will I won't…

God help us if he has to make an important military decision. Methinks we are screwed…

  36. Carolecares2 says:

Obama if you are so bold to release something as dangerous as this new stunt then why don't you release your birth certificate? Washington state announced today they want to try out these new GPS gadgets for our cars so they can keep track of our mileage and then tax us according to the amount of miles we drive…they just want to try it for awhile to see if it's something they'd like to continue. They arn't just stealing from the rich now…it's everybody! Our Gov just signed a bill that will take a viaduct that runs through downtown Seattle tear it down and put in a very very very expensive tunnel! The woman is out of control…Obama was considering her for one of the Supremes! I don't want her here and I sure don't want her there…Gary Locke appointed her daughter to his team….the Gov's daughter…I've never heard of her until now! We just can get rid of these people.

    • bipartisan says:

This all getting so scary that i don't know whether to stop reading these blogs or to stay attached 24/7
Yes where is his birth certificate?
GPS can be spoofed, even superman couldn't see through lead (hint)

    • hdevo says:

If they are going to put GPS on cars and tax our milage its time for the revolution to start .I hope the people in your state aren't sheep and let them do this

  37. OldMarine says:

Step right up, the Great BH0 will perform his next magic trick. Look over here in this hand I have the American is "awful" photos and memos, watch while I dazzle America by looking like I care about the security of Americans (My opinion polls and teleprompter tell I should, or I may not be loved by the people). Meanwhile, while everyone is looking at this, BH0 will push his agenda to destroy the American way of life and don't forget his upcoming, "We are the world, America is arrogant" Mideast tour, after all if these photos are released, BH0 may get boo'd and he can't have that.

    • bipartisan says:

There's more to this than meets the eye, as you say magic, and black magic at that, no pun intented.
you wait and see, after he returns the ACLU will win on appeal and the photos will be released.
However as for him being boo'd, that's probably unlikely from his worlds biggest fan club, Americas enemies

      • OldMarine says:

Good point, but Glenn said it today, BH0 sign an executive order that they will not be released, ever. They did it with the JFK autopsy photos.

  38. bobhertz says:

The left wing press and others are trying to spin this as proof of how Obama has "grown into the role of President"
They are saying that he is showing "leadership"….how the hell is this any kind of leadership, and anyone imagine what Reagan would do? Or how he would have handled this moment in time. Oh the world would be in such better hands….

  39. CapNball says:

C'mon, guys! If anyone thinks for one moment that Obama did the right thing for the right reason, they need to do just a *wee* bit of thinking on the matter.

Sure, he did the right thing. This man doesn't have America, its people, or its good in his heart.

  40. LadyOrf says:

Good move BUT for all the wrong reasons! We gotta get the right into office this next election! Maybe we can undo some of what he ahs done!

  41. Boopster says:

Imho….This is just another cover his a—move, he acts like he did not want this to happen by reversing his decision on the photos , citing National Security issues! These pictures just like the pictures from Abu Ghraib will be leaked and published. If not leaked the court will say release them. The damage is still done to the U.S.A. . Of course the ACLU is disagreeing with
the decision so the progressives are pacified, the ACLU will rage on. Goal met, President Obama comes out without a scratch and praise from his followers.

    • bipartisan says:

Well done, that's almost exactly what i wanted to say

    • nanceintx says:

Well said Boopster. Of course this will be appealed by our lovely ACLU and you are so right about Obama coming out looking like the "hero". When this goes to appeal I think that we 912ers should hold a protest at either ACLU headquarters or the court. Anybody up for that scenario?

I have a granddaughter who served two tours in Iraq and her humvee was hit by an IED. She has permanent nerve damage along with cancer which I feel was brought on by conditions there. She also served in South Korea. I am so angry about all of this and believe that releasing those pics will do nothing but put the American people in more danger and help to destroy our troop morale along with their lives.

I am new to posting so hope that I did this right.

      • Boopster says:

nanceintx, Welcome to the site. Please thank your Granddaughter for her service and dedication to our country. She will be in my prayers.

    • jwjcc1 says:

      Bravo Boopster!

  42. bipartisan says:

That would be a step in the right direction, but I just rewound theTIVO to verify exactly what Glenn said
"Mr President will you sign an excetive order?….." therefore there is no evidence that the annoited one will sign such an order, it will be good if he does
