You know what truly worries me? If the government takes over healthcare, the quality of the support staff will drop. People with brains can work elsewhere for better money. So, we would end up going to the doctor and having some one like Chuckie meeting us at the front desk. We can expect to be treated as well at the dr's office as he treats us here in this chat. Not something I look forward to.

Chucky, you poor under-medicated soul. We fired more 'moderates' that wanted to work across the isle with The Barney's of the other side. I hope the few republicans left remember. Believing in the 10th amendment is not a bad thing, it's leaving as much control at the local level as possible. Central control has never worked long term. Google USSR and you'll see how well 5 year plans work. Now, since you know all, why would they work better here?

The President said the $787 billion dollar Stimulas would add or save 3.5 million jobs. So far..none. The President said that we would be coming out of this recession late this year…no way. Now, we are expected to believe that over the next 10 yrs., we will save some $2 Trillion dollars in the healthcare industry if we follow someone's advice.
I believe that every one that goes to work, collects a check, pays taxes(some/any) should earn the right to have healthcare insurance. I also realize that some of our unfortunate people need help and we should be there for them..100%. However, since we have spent $Trillions of dollars for future programs, we cannot possibly support this added debt for health and Cap n' Trade. Our country is already sinking.

I feel sorry for folks like Chuck Flinn and here is why. I have noticed that we are called 'sore losers' like it is us who is wrong. Those people just don't get it. They think that we have formed some sort of anti- Obama network because we are so saddened by the passing of Dubya. Most of us here did not like him as much as we don't like Obama.
What they do not realize is that this is about right and wrong. They think that the country is perfectly fine and is getting better day by day.

They are joyful that the glass is half full when they should be worried that it is half empty.
They think that they are the better Americans because 'they won'
They think they have all the solutions to all our problems, when their 'solutions' are only making it worse.
They think that it is us who have ripped the fabric of America

It will be us who someday are seen as the new 'greatest generation'
It will be us who will nurse this country back to health.
It will be us who pull the nation from the scathing pits of moral decay.
It will be us who when we are back on top and proud once again,
will not boast or demean or accuse.
It will be us who say God Bless America and when that happens
    we all will win.

  5. This in Chicago gangster parlence is called trying to pay protection. They are just hoping that BHO does not make a takeover of the health care industry. BHO is showing his Chicago gangsterism, in the words of Don Corleone, "Make em an offer they can not refuse!"

It doesn't matter what the private health care industry cuts, Obama is going to push through a socialised health care program, regardless what the cost. It may start out with $646 billion, but will repidlly jump into the TRILLIONS of dollars for a program that will give very poor health coverage.
Obama don't care about the taxpayers that must pay for his program, as long as he gives Insurance to the Millions of people that sit at the subsidized home, waiting for the welfare checks, and have absolutely no desire to work, and provide for himself!
People that have mental, or physical reasons that prevent them from working, I believe they are the ones that we should be helping, not the freeloaders. I mean there are millions that are fully capable to support them selves, but choose not to!

Please stop feeding the troll! Little Chucky Flynn can't stand to be ignored, it's so dark and dreary in his mommy's basement. Please ignore him. Let's not turn this site into another waste of time where all we do is react to lowlifes who are waiting for their new house and car from "The One". If you've ever been on Townhall.com, you'll know what i mean about the trolls ruining a perfectly good site. It's one thing to discuss and disagree, it's quite another to be called names and be attacked by a mental midget. Little chucky needs a smack upside his head and a job. I'll give him the first if someone will give him the job!

    • GodHelpUsAll says:

I'm sure there are a few sumps that need cleaning…..toilets that need scrubbing,………but can I smack 'em too?

Mike, town hall has gone to the dark side more and more. It started with columnists like Kathleen Turner that had no business on a conservative site. We need to build up the conservative thinkers, they are out there. When people began to abandon the site the slimy left jumped in. I don't go there any longer and when I got an offer for their magazine I wrote back and explained why I wasn't going to read it.
We have the defendable ideas. As much as I enjoy insulting Chucky, we need to explain our ideas so that people can realize who intellegent our side really is.
When Chucky goes off on medical care for the uninsured, why shouldn't we ask how many illegal aliens does he want to pay for?

      • MikeinIdaho says:

You're right, I just think that when you talk to a dog it goes like this:
BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, SPOT, BLAH BLAH BLAH!
As with a dog, so goes Chucky!
(My apologies to all dogs for the comparison)

Well, reading the article I see that the WH stated this is a separate issue in regards to the administrations healthcare plans, but it is a step in the right direction. Mostly this appears to be lobbying by the healthcare industry to gain favor from the administration, and because the industry knows the government can't run anything right, except the military and that's ran by generals. Of course me personally, well I believe this is just the beginning of a form of Social Security Tax which was put in place by FDR's New Deal. Hmm, I wonder why it is that during a recession they pick that time to worry about taking care of people's health and well being? Oh, maybe it's because who could say no to that new tax…It's Friendly!
