CAIRO (Reuters) – Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood dismissed Saturday U.S. President Barack Obama's plan to deliver a speech to the Muslim world from Egypt as part of a plan to keep Arab and Muslim states divided.
Deputy leader Mohamed Habib said overtures by the United States to countries like Syria and Iran, and recent visits by U.S. officials to Egypt and Saudi Arabia, indicated the speech would be used to further the superpower's pro-Israeli agenda.
"The U.S. administration is trying to use each of these countries individually to serve the American agenda and American interests, in addition to securing, promoting, protecting and guaranteeing the superiority of the Zionist entity (Israel)," Habib told Reuters.
The Brotherhood is Egypt's largest and most powerful opposition group, and seeks an Islamic state through democratic means. It disavowed violence decades ago and is officially banned, but operates relatively openly.
Obama will deliver a speech to the Muslim world in Egypt on June 4 in which he will seek to repair ties that were severely damaged under his predecessor George W. Bush.
"The statements are rosy, but politics is not built on statements as much as it's based on practices on the ground. Let's wait and see," Habib said.
The Brotherhood controls roughly a fifth of seats in Egypt's lower house of parliament. The group played a seminal role in the development of Islamist ideology and political groups around the Muslim world.

We must, ferret these people out and expose them ourselves. We can’t count on the MSM to do it. The MSM can be forced to cover it though by finding that their viewership/readership counts on it.

I think what bothers me is the idea that the Gang of Four, as referenced in the article were the only ones briefed. I also happen to know that members of Congress can't keep a secret – Iran contra comes to mind and I'll shut up as some of the particulars of associated operations are still classified. However, Congressional Delegations (CoDels) were frequent in an AOr that I was operating in, and they saw with their own eyes how Iran-Contra flowed in terms of wepaons and facilities.

I was water boarded in SERE school in the navy for trainning. I hated it but I am fine and think it is effective and does no harm to anyone other than make them talk. I was even slapped around and put in a box. It wasn't fun but the hazing I had in High School Football was way more painfull than this crap. Let me and my old highschool buddies get them for 5 minutes in a locker room. They will talk in 5 minutes using a chair, shoe string, and a piece of gum. No marks or bruises, just quick results. It's all a lie… the reason there is no outrage; all the people that make decisions on the progressive mantra believe that the means (lie, cheat, steal) are always justified by the end goal. Since all end goals are considered progression of the greater good of masses, they believe they exist on a higher plane of morality. Justification is actually thought to exist based on the goal, whereas we conservatives believe all justification should be based on unchanging principles and values, of who’s origin is absolute and not based on laudable outcome.

I don’t believe for a moment that BO did not know in advance and approve this debacle. Mayor Bloomberg, who recently jumped around his term limits restriction claims he knew nothing. Does anyone know how many times AF-2 flew over NYC? How fast does it go? And how hard it would be to get that one perfect picture with one pass. Maybe its the only pic that was good who knows? But I think its a photo-shop, and we are still being lied too.
I'd read it buzzed NYC for almost 30 minutes.
My personal opinion is that it wasn't a photoshoot. It was a joy ride for a bunch of higher ups and their friends. I can see it now "Oh, that was beautiful. I've never seen the Statue of Liberty like that. Let's do it again"
