A country can't commit the acts you describe. Only humans can commit those acts. Can you name one country in the world that is not occupied by humans? Can you name one country in the world that does not have humans who have behaved in terrible ways?

If your premise is correct, the premise of, "Our country is very dirty", then EVERY country in the world is dirty.

Your premise is absolutely incorrect and you lack the ability to reason.

    Take care friend.

  2. Nomarxism says:

Let not your heart be troubled, the one has spoken…..

"We are seeing that the virus may not have been as virulent as we at first feared," Obama said at a Spanish-language town hall meeting at the White House. "But we are not out of the woods yet. We still have to take precautions."

    The precautions are?

  3. heloise says:

The question that I would like answered about this outbreak is : If the bug comes roaring back in the fall, stronger and deadly, will exposure now help prevent illness then? Could getting the flu today, while it is not much worse than the regular flu, be as good or better than an a flu shot?

  4. 42lead says:

Do they do flu shots in Mexico? It seems to me that those who are hit hardest are the ones who have been given flu shots most of their lives.

  5. bawnyfwank says:

912 board. I'm getting a bit flustered at the stories you post here for us to sound off on.
I wish that you would have some people that watch Congress on a daily basis and post what they are voting on, what they are talking about, and detail that so that we the people will know what is going on day to day. That way when we see something we do not agree with we could make the calls to our local reps and make our voice really heard. We all know that making calls to them in large numbers does seem to make a difference. There are many people who post links to such things and they are on the right track. However some of these people are overlooked, if some of these bills and legislation were headlined here more people would pay attention, comment and organize in a productive way.
I'm sorry but I don't see how our comments on pig flu are going to make a difference in the fate of our nation. Please help!
    Comments fellow 912ers please……

    • gsteinbacher says:

      try

      http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/

I have found it to be the the most up to date with current ledgislation

      • lisale says:

Exactly. To the administrator: it appears many of us would like to have a forum to discuss some more serious issues. I would like to see a tab with the link to congress.org, with a place for us to post comments relative to what we see on the congressional website. It should be right between the "books" and "stand up and lead" tabs. After all, if we are not reading and discussing the most important decisions of the day, we cannot effectively stand up and lead. Who is with me on this?

    • lj2721 says:

If you'd like to keep up with how your senators & representatives are voting and the issues as they come up you might consider visiting congress.org sign up for megavote email. You'll get notice of pending legislation coming before our elected officials and you'll get a report of how they voted.

    • Dave_McDaris says:

You are so right. Without knowledge, we are sheep. I refuse to be a sheep. I wrote my state senator today in response to GB's show today but I have little faith that anything will change. All I can do is be as loud as I can.

      • bawnyfwank says:

I'm not site bashing or anything. I love this site too. It has shown us all that we are like minded and solid in our resolve to make a difference and keep our freedoms and morals. I go to some of the snake pits ( Puffington Host, Crooks&Liars) to actually defend Glenn and us. You have to have a good stomach to read some of that trash put it also allows you to see what the other side is thinking. Some people are not that crazy there but some if it is really appauling. I love my country too much to let it be flushed down the toilet.

    • acheyjake says:

I have been bored with the board and its articles posted as well and we are not alone. I don't understand how they choose the topics of the articles they post for us to debate. All week long I've heard talk from various radio talk show hosts about the subject of "localism" and how it will affect talk radio. No mention of localism on this website.

I'm still thinking about it, but it could be that the only topics we are encouraged to discuss are topics covered by the main stream media. Any thoughts on that?

      • bawnyfwank says:

it has been bland that's for sure. I'm just disappointed that this is suppose to be a unite and take the country back board. Instead we are posting about stupid crap that has no reason being a topic of discussion. Who cares if the Prez ate a burger for lunch. Who cares about the flu, people get sick everyday.
I want to know what bills are being passed beneath our noses, passed in the night. Someone should pay attention to that stuff and make that a topic of main discussion. I know that there are sites where we can monitor those things ourselves and I do, but why not put them up as headliners here?
Get more peoples attention, I love what has been started but please God don't let it fizzle into just another blog. Keep it real people!!!

      • beckgether says:

Which is what we don't need more of. Think out of the box.

      • TXTJ says:

Thanks to you acheyjake I now have heard of localism, I hadn't heard it before, so I think when people gather at a site like this more ideas, more stories, more areas of news are actually shared. I have learned more from the News From You section and thanked them for their research, no one person hears all, sees all or can find out info, but posting what we know into one area helps to bring it together. I think we are encouraged to discuss topics here but not discouraged to share what ever we can to bring about more education. Heck I have learned things about Texas here that I didn't know about and I live here. I love this site, boring, never, unless we forget to bring to the table a new story like you did with the localism you heard about.

  6. TaxiDude says:

South America is entering its' winter now so let's see what the swines who flew down there behave like before lining up at the clinic. Until that time I'll continue to hug people and shake hands with strangers……except liberals. I will continue to do every thing I can to piss them off.

  7. bawnyfwank says:

I do keep up with it. I do visit those sights and pay attention to what they are doing.
My point, which seems to be missed here is,
It would serve us all well if this sight did that as well. Not everyone will go visit Congress.org or others to see what's up. If this sight did that and posted what they find, more people would know what is happening on the Hill and they may be more apt to get involved instead of posting comments about pig flu or what condiment the President prefers on his burger.

  8. Kathy4Truth says:

    http://objflicks.com/TakeMeBackToTheSixties.htm

This is completely off topic but if you need a break and if you grew up in the sixties, this is a trip down memory lane.

  9. nned36 says:

It's the flu people. We need to stop the worrying just use common sence.

    • acheyjake says:

Friend, I would speculate that most who participate in this forum understand the concept of common sense; however, there are far too many people in the U.S. that wouldn't know common sense if it came up and bit them on the hand they use to complete a ballot when they vote.

  10. OldMarine says:

Sometimes it pays to be older, we not only more wise (snicker), more experienced, not it looks like we're immune to the swine flu (I don't believe in newspeak). Seriously, people are posting the common sense methods of prevent, a lot of my god the world is ending. Simple, the flu, no matter which is the current flavor, is a health problem, but just because some one gets the flu or even a bad cold, that does not mean it is the swine flu. For years, I have seen colds and slight flues in the spring, particularly if it has been damp and cool which according to what I've seen on the weather it has been. Stop panicing, BH0 wants a crisis, if everybody is watching the flu "crisis" as they are, BH0 and congress goes about quietly passing laws that will curtail our liberities and freedoms.

    • acheyjake says:

Good to hear the knowledge of the fruits of your wisdom Gunny. T.H.O.T.U.S.'s agenda will not get pushed through fast enough if people are not scared out of their wits from some sort of threat of death.

    • ReDog says:

Another old grunt here. BHO and his jerk pals love a good red herring to scare the cr_p out of the weak while they rush all manner of anti-liberty stuff down their throats. Or as HL Menchen said….the voters know what they want and they get get it good and hard!

I'd rather die in my backyard than run to or from the nanny state.

      • OldMarine says:

Actually, I was with Marine Air (On time On target). I have been shouting this for weeks, anytime a \”crisis\” comes up, keep an eye on this government.

  11. appropo84 says:

If the (regular) flu kills 30,000 people each year, why wouldn't the World Health Organization call THAT a pandemic level 6? This type of thinking baffles me.

    • nned36 says:

Good question why would the WHO call this flu a pandemic. Glenn always saids "watch what the other hand is doing.

    • TXTJ says:

I remember when they announced many years ago that Jim Hensen, puppets creator, had died from the flu, I had never heard of anyone dying from the flu. I think the youngest BeeGee brother died of some stomach ailment that they first thought was the flu, so unless you are a celebrity, who died from the flu, I doubt the other 29,999 deaths will be heard of. I was shocked to hear that that many people die from the flu. And equally shocked to hear that this Swine Flu traveled so fast to each state by one visitor to Mexico. And at the same time our current administration was in Mexico and we breifly heard that maybe someone from one of the trips had taken ill but not a word more about it. If 30,000 people die from anything that is a virus., I agree with you that would be worth announcing and WHO and the CDC should be telling us.

    • Dave_McDaris says:

The Swine Flu is a red herring. It is to keep the sheep busy while they rob us of our liberty.

    • 42lead says:

They need a crisis! There are many countries behind Obama in believing and wanting him to succeed in establishing socialized health care! As much as I hate it; conspiracy keeps coming to mind. he and Hillary have been rubbing a lot of shoulders with Mexico.

  12. Whether someone wants to listen to the media spin or not, there are facts we need to understand:

There have been flu epidemics before
Not every flu strain affects young, otherwise healthy people
Most flus are hardest on the Very Young, Very old and those with less healthy lung functions
Washing your hands often helps reduce the spread of any infection
Not coughing on others without covering your mouth is still disgusting and inconsiderate
Being informed for the sake of your families health is a good idea
The CDC has become one of the few places, globally, that can differentiate strains of diseases and quantify/model how an infection pattern could impact large population centers

Somewhere along the line, effective control of a contagious illness must be guided by people who are technically and professionally credible to provide the information to the public. In our case, that's the CDC and other countries look to the CDC for confirmations for good reason.

If you don't want to 'believe' in something, think Santa Claus. If you want to use knowledge to be personally responsible for your own health….then read, digest and apply the best possible behaviors and solutions in your immediate area.

Running around like chicken little is just as inappropriate as pretending that the government is ALWAYS wrong.

BTW When I had contact with the hunta virus, I couldn't chase the broom around the kitchen for 6 weeks. I was in the best shape of my life and the CDC concurred with the Navajo conclusion that the virus was most dangerous to the healthiest people, contrary to how most respiratory conditions attack when age is plotted against infection rates.

  13. gulagAmerika says:

I'm pretty sure that Obama and his "scientists" refused to look back to the pandemic flu of 1918 for any kind of indication of HOW H1N1 would spread, WHO H1N1 would spread to, etc. The flu of 1918 hit people in their late teens and 20's, too. The theory is that there had been a flu that middle aged and older folks had already made antibodies against when they were younger, and people in their late teens and early 20's hadn't had the chance to build up immunity against it because they weren't alive when the previous flu happened. Not only that, a lot of younger people were at war in the trenches, making it very easy for the virus to spread. And what do you know – many late teen 20-somethings are in college now, and if anyone has ever experienced the dorm crud, they can imagine how quickly H1N1 would spread in a dorm situation.

All they would have to do is look at the patterns of flues since say 1940, and see if H1N1 is behaving the same way!

  14. PirateNPink says:

SYMPTOMS…..HEADACHE, FEVER, SORE THROAT, AND AN URGE TO MAKE LOVE IN THE MUD

    • Bcoultry says:

"look at those piggies do it…"
"Hey, the piggies don'a do it, dey make amore!"

    • OldMarine says:

I guess I'm getting sick. No I don't have a Fever, sore throat or Headache, but the other symtom……………………

    • acheyjake says:

I used to make love with mud, back when I was a kid, you know, very young. Of course, I wasn't really making love with mud, I was just having a very good time as a kid, playing in mud.

That is part of the reason I'm not much worried about the current flu fear.

    • Dave_McDaris says:

Hell yea!! Sign me up for some of that! LOL. Seriously though. It is all just a red herring. Watch the other hand!

    • Shadrach says:

I've felt that way since B.O. got elected!!
Headache, because of the crap he has unloaded on our country.
Fever, from the infection of said crap.
      and,
Sore throat from screaming about it, and it doing no good!!

  15. gsteinbacher says:

The only reason BHO acted as fast as he did is because of how everyone blamed the Bush administration for there slow actions durring Katrina. I think we can see now that sometimes a slower response with a plan of action maybe better then a panicked response. Knee jerk reactions are definately not the way to go.

  16. Prepared1 says:

Since you can't control the flu, you convince everyone everything is alright. Kind of sounds like the same logic use on the economy….hum. Simple yet effective psycological control.

  17. MikeinIdaho says:

As Glenn has pointed out several times, watch what Obama's OTHER hand is doing! This flu may be another diversionary tactic.

  18. stang289 says:

its funny there are new local cases here and they still all can be traced back to mexico! the local mexican communities still travel back and forth to there country all the time . how often ndoes this happen with any body else like the germans italians ect .

  19. floridaborn says:

I don't know about everyone else, but the CDC certainly hasn't impressed me with this one. Basically, what they are saying now, is, it's widespread and we have no way to contain it. They can't keep up with the number of samples being sent to them – and they basically have no idea how many people really have it. God help us when the BIG one comes around.

    • USMCiNGEN says:

You mean you actually thought the CDC was actually going to be its namesake in the event of a viral pandemic? HA! The CDC is government.

When the BIG one does go around put on some Johnny Cash and start praying, because God is the only one who will help you.

    • PirateNPink says:

i THINK the CDC is working on a stronger strain……this one didn't work

  20. A flu is continuing to infect people. Our clinic saw many sick patients on Wednesday with the flu. Now one of our doctors is sick (Thursday)! You still need to be careful and responsible.

  21. I want to know the comparison of people with the other numerous strains of flu versus the number of people who were diagnosed with swine flu. I think that would make for an interesting discussion.

    • SecretPolice says:

Precisely and a comparator to auto accidents killing people – some may be so frightened that they never get on the highways ever again.

  22. Bubba1963 says:

Just a reminder today is NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER. If we have been sluffing off talking to GOD, take a moment and tell HIM what is on your mind about all of this.

    • Mugwump says:

      Cuz NOBODY screws Him…

Thank YOU Lord for the inner strength to even watch this…

Who does the Prez. evoke today?? Himself??

  23. SecretPolice says:

Another Flu over the cocoos nest. :-P

  24. fande3rls says:

I had a family member with polio, he died a few years ago (bless his heart) . My worry is too much Goverment , I really don't want goverment heath care , I have seen it over seas when I lived in forgien countries, IT frightens me deeply . Nancy I'm not trying to argue I know your in the heath care profession , And i'm sure that if I need A nurse YOU would be one of the best. I just do not in any way want the GOverment to tell me what heath care. Iam watch this I dont want anyoneto pass because of this believe me
. GOD BLESS your freind in liberty fande3rls

    • NancyNurse says:

This flu has little if nothing to do with Universal Health Care (which I oppose). This has to do with tracking and eliminating a deadly flu virus— and Obama is not really a part of this picture. Many are jumping to that conclusion. And many are thinking that immunizations are 'bad' things. I am telling you, they SAVE LIVES.
Obama has not told us to do anything yet. And as long as you can still see your doctor and choose to get or not get a flu vaccine, your rights are still intact. I just hope that this website uses some common sense and isn't just trying to stir the pot thinking that Obama is 100% bad and would not act on behalf of the American people. He has said virtually nothing on the subject YET. It is too soon to see where he will go with this and whether there is an emergency of not. I think there could be—in fact, nurses always look at Patterns, and this one has the same 'foot print' as the 1918 flu.
As far as polio goes, a young woman who was one of the last cases of crippling polio who got polio in the 50's lived on our block. She had to be on an iron lung for a long time and was paralyzed badly from her upper thighs down. She could not walk, but she could stand. We had three in our family with polio, both my mother in law and mom had it, as did an uncle who had to walk like a duck, moving his feet with his hands. He was one of the first to get a car equipped with hand brakes and gas pedals on the steering column. He died very young. My mom is 76 and still going strong. My mother in law has passed away. I am not sure if the woman who lived on our block and  had polio is still alive or not. I will do a social security search on her and see if she is listed as alive or dead. She was a sweet girl—about my husband's age. I have a pic of her I just received two days ago. It is ironic that I am remembering her like this right now. All four of these folks heartily agreed—take any and all vaccines to PREVENT what happened to them. And as I have discussed earlier on this blog, I also lost an 11 year old niece with some kind of 'acute fulminating illness.' She was dead in about 28 hours from the first 'cold symptoms.'
The only time BIG BROTHER can tell us what to do in response to a communicable disease outbreak is that they can quarantine anyone who is at risk as a contact or is symptomatic who refuses treatment or immunization. They can exclude a child from school, but have to provide a tutor if that is the case. But NO ONE is suggesting that this is happening here. And I totally agree with you about government run health care in foreign countries and here other than for 'prevention' –we don't need it and we should not want it.

      • fande3rls says:

nancyNurse ,YOUR GREAT ,THANK YOU FOR YOUR POST, GOD BLESS those with polio that You Know, Sorry about your niece ,i just lost my mom last year to alzheimers , I Agree with you ,I have no problem with taking vaccines , good lord the amount I had to take when I went over seas ,
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY . Your Freind In Liberty Fande3rls

  25. mpg8 says:

I believe that because people who traveled to all parts of Mexico came back with it, that all of Mexico had it. The only deaths were in Mexico City not the outlying areas. I think that the ones who were just too poor and ignorant to take care of themselves were the ones badly affected. Not knowing how to treat desperately sick people is where the problem lies and this knowledge has been lost from our society as we have relied on health care professionals here instead of caring for our own as we had to years ago. The only real problem I see is if this stuff hits this flu season it may be so widespread that proper care for all will be impossible and everyone needs to seek the knowledge to survive that sort of senario now. Common knowledge isn't common anymore.

  26. Kudos to the CDC and the World Health Organization and doctors everywhere. The information got out to us. We were then able to use the info and make our own decisions on how to act. Well Done!

  27. PirateNPink says:

actually i think the new headline on Drudge is

US public at risk from complacency over flu -CDC

  28. justaroot says:

I think everyone with a brain has figured out that the swine flu is not all its cracked up to be. Some people I knew were actually scared of this thing. I guess I cant blame them when the media is pumping up the scoop. I knew it was bogus when Napalitano said she wouldn't close the border. She did try and milk the situation though. She had to change the topics of conversation which included her calling the vets a threat and the terror incited by the air force one flyover I don't believe a word that comes out of her mouth…. They say the swine flu will mutate and come back stronger at a later time. She is STILL trying to frighten people to advance her image and importance. There is no evidence to support this idea of the swine flu mutating into highly virulent strain. If you want to worry about a flu, worry about the good old regular flue. That one is antibiotic resistant and kill tens of thousands a year in the US

  29. Dustyluv says:

You notice how the Obama joke about flying pigs came out and the Obama Administration then made us all call the swine flu…..the H1N1 Virus?

You notice how he made fun of people waving teabags?

We are getting under his skin….

  30. Carolecares2 says:

Isn't just a tad bit suspecious that we can't get a straight answer out of these idiots! I've had to flu, my grandson has had the flu and my daughter!! None of it was this so called swine flu and all cases were severe! It's just another way to mess with the economy….take your vitamins and drink lots of water! Oh and eat chicken soup…the same old remedy your grandma told you to do! Obama and his team of millions didn't get sick or die! That you should tell you all you need to know.

  31. erebwen says:

I just wish there was more consistency in how everyone is reporting and handling this strain of flu. It almost seems as though everyone has suddenly become bi-polar. Obama states the swine flu is a "cause for concern but not for alarm" and then Biden very nearly brings the airline industry to a screeching halt. The CDC initially responds aggressively, local health departments start recommending that schools shut down, and then schools re-open and the CDC wants to take a "wait and see" approach. The media first gives us the impression that it's the end of humanity as we know it, then tells us just to wash our hands, then reports only people in Mexico have died so we're okay, until (oh goodness) we've had a death now in the US.

Can we please just stop the circus? Sometimes I get the impression that it's being handled this way as a diversionary tactic. (Akin to tossing raw meat to an attack dog to distract it while you sneak past it…) Perhaps the mainstream media continues to keep us guessing on the swine flu hoping that we'll all forget just how ticked off we are with Washington. It's just a thought.

    • floridagal says:

I'm having the same kind of thoughts!

    • TJwasright says:

"Circus" is a great description of the government's response to not only the flu but virtually everything they've undertaken so far. It takes every new administration time to get their act together and admittedly this one had a lot of pre-existing problems to deal with but this is getting to the point of absurdity. I agree with you that it seems like they are using the flu as a diversionary tactic. No crisis too good to waste……

    • Lazarus says:

"being handled this way as a diversionary tactic."

Notice that every time the administration or one of it's officials commits a blunder there is suddenly a new crisis in the country. With the MSM as willing participants.

    • USMCiNGEN says:

I'm with the feds on this one. Viral pandemic has only one cure, prevention. You have to take the "nuclear" approach from the word "go" or lots of people die. Such tactical necessity, created by medical technology limitations, will most certainly result in false starts.

  32. This flu is being UNDER reported.

  33. Brass says:

The flu makes you sick. In related news, bears crap in the woods. Film at 11pm.

  34. suthin_man says:

When a new type of weapon or device is created then it has to be tested. This particular type of flu made up of 3 different viral entities has to be evaluated. Once field trials are complete then it can be tweeked to improve its effects. We will see those effects later this year or next year either here or in another country. Don't think for a moment that our government won't use its own citizens for experimentation? Think back a few years when LSD was given to unsuspecting GIs or when STDs were tested on people of color. Our country is very dirty. Trust them as far as you can throw the house you live in, that is if you still have a house!

    • Government is NEVER to be trusted! Just remember that next time you check the news.

    • Goober says:

I thoroughly agree with you. I have been trying my hardest to wake up everyone I can a little at a time. I am not looking forward to the Fall they have already told us they will spread it again and it will be FARRRR WORSE! I mean that is how in your face these animals in government are. They are not afraid of us at all. I am not sure what we could do to make them stand back and say .. hmmm maybe these people are stronger and more intelligent than we have given them credit for. I imagine if we were to all show up at the nations capitol at once, they would probably consider it full scale war on us and would recruit the liberals to come and get us, so that might start the revolution they really want and they could just exterminate us all at once…. I mean if we aren't willing to wait until they flu us again… they have to do something to show the rest of the sheeple what will happen to them if they disagree! Keep the usless eaters in line! YIKES

  35. MainePieLady says:

The media, federal government and CDC are being accused of overreacting/over reporting this influenza. My gut feeling is to lean on the side of caution here. I do think this bears watching because, as stated many times in the media, we are at the end of the flu season here in North America. It bears caution and close scrutiny as we approach the fall and new flu season. I'm all for keeping informed on this as much as possible. And the fact that youth are being hit hardest would seem to be an indication that this is a strain of virus not seen for a long time but may be something similar to a virus that us older folks were exposed to perhaps a number of decades ago. Just a thought…

  36. NancyNurse says:

I am glad someone on here is trying to raise awareness rather than just out and out skeptism. I am really praying that the people of the world will get what they will need to combat this—no more, no less. I think being informed and making good decisions will be key in the next year or so. Hopefully we have some limited immunity and most of us will be ok. But truth be told, we cannot afford to screw around with this one. The virus has incubated in swine, which are perfect animals to spread infection to human beings. Why? Because we share much in common with swine genetically. That is why swine were used for certain body parts (like heart valves) because of the low chance of rejection than with other species of animals. Out of all animals in North America (aside from primates) pigs are genetically the closest to man of all barnyard animals. This provides us with the challenge of being near them, breathing in their air, etc. and passing viral material from human to swine and back again. This outbreak has all the markings of the swine flu of 1918— only we have denser population and are far more mobile, yet we have better overall health and better medical system(s). Time will certainly tell. In the meantime, try to avoid being around sick people. If you get sick and get rapidly worse, GET IN TO A DOCTOR!

Skepticsm is your right. But it can cause many to hesitate and not think prudently. And like it or not, even if the right and the left are battling, this flu virus will not choose sides and will potentially make good people (as well as the stinkers sick). If Rahm were trying to invent a health care scare and manufacture a crisis, he would not pick this way. All they have to do is become controlling interest in enough businesses and voila, you have universal health care. A flu epidemic will be handled by our already existing public health services who do a pretty good job. How many people do YOU know who are crippled by polio these days?

Isn't the concern that this strain will go dormant over the summer months and then re-emerge with the regular flu season in the fall? I hope they are working on a vaccine should this happen. I agree with you about remaining aware, and pro-active in the obvious ways, like avoiding sick people, being diligent about hand washing, and being informed about the symptoms.

I think a lot of the skepticism arises from the current administration inflicting panic on Congress and the American people with the porkulus package.

Your handle as well as your comments, suggests a medical background. You mention limited immunity – is this because this strain is a combination of like 4 different strains, and many Americans routinely get flu shots, hence we may have some immunity? Would the same apply in the matter of younger people seemingly being more susceptibe as they have not yet built the antibodies the older people may have?

Thanks for providing good, solid, informed and common sense comments.

Thanks! Humor is so healthy, you'd think more of the libs would be sick – oh they are – in the head anyway

But it is no worse than regular flu. The regular flu does not get this kind of reporting. The people at your clinic probably feel like crap, but they will recover with time. Just like the flu that goes around every winter. Wash your hands and sneeze and cough into a kleenex instead of your hand. If you are sick stay home.

Friend, I've never thought inside a box in my life. I remember back during the 1990's when I first heard the phrase \”think outside the box\”. The first time I heard that phrase, I thought to myself, \”What box?\” I wrote the following about three years ago or so for another forum. I'll send it to you first, then I'm going to post it elsewhere on the912project.com

    Thinking Outside Your Buns.
Have you ever tried it? When it comes to the realm of American politics, it seems to be a foreign idea. It's like the first time I heard the expression \”think outside the box\”. I thought to myself what box? Where is this box? Where did it come from? Of course, \”thinking outside the box\” was just a catch phrase for the concepts of \”think new\” or \”think differently\”. I was amazed to see people \”discover\” the concept of thinking and that is exactly what the people who decided to think outside the box were discovering, thinking.
I'll illustrate my point. When you are addressing a challenging problem or situation and conventional or traditional ideas won't work, what are you left with? You are left with either the problem or situation unaddressed or you are left with….thinking. In other words, if it's an easily solved problem or situation, no thinking required. If it's a problem or situation that seems to have no solution, thinking required. Another way to say it is this. If old ideas will solve a problem, thinking isn't necessary, knowledge is. If a new idea is needed to solve a problem, knowledge as well as \”thinking\” are required. By default, if you are solving problems that can't be solved using existing knowledge, you are \”thinking outside the box\”, or, you are thinking.

True indeed, Gunny. One truly frightening aspect is the number of Americans who do not realize it.

Thanks friend for your words that I can tell are written freely and without fear or concern. I will tell you some words of my own that are also written freely and without fear or concern.

I have traveled to about 30 of the 50 states of the U.S. and I have seen some foreign lands as well. The one place I often long to visit is not in another country and it is not in America, yet it is in America. The one place I often long to visit is Texas, a republic that is a state within the republic that is America.

If I find it no longer right to live in Oklahoma, I will move to Texas.

    Take care friend.

We welcome you and all anytime. Already we are seeing many folks from across the nation visiting here, asking questions and/ or house hunting. Yes, we are different, and yes we are a Republic, and we love people, all of you. We're still a place you can pull over, knock on a homes door and ask directions, break down and someone will pull over to make sure you have a cell phone to call for help, we pull over for faster drivers so we don't hold anyone up, and we lend a hand in the heat of the day to most anyone who asks. And, if someone doesn't do all that then they must be new here and will have them trained in pretty quick. We're a rowdy, patriotic bunch down here, yet a quiet and peaceful people. I hope we see you soon acheyjake, you'll blend right in, I can already tell.

I have to also tell you that I will also be a Sooner fan even if I live in a country called Texas. We would just have to deal with that together.

Crazy times friend. Cats and dogs living together……

Unfortunately, the wisdom of our founding father's isn't taught. Unfortunately, they will be forgotten. Question, How many members of 912 really looked at the Constitution, the history of America and the wisdom of the founding fathers before BH0 was elected and started tramping on the Constitution? This is not a slam on them, but think about that? I saw the same thing after 9-11, gee the military was thanked and treated like the heroes they are, but 6 months later it was in the wane.
