JAQUI SMITH IS NOT ENGLAND! England is in a crisis right now politicaly, I cannot believe dismisive you guys are of us brits! Boycotting? Do you understand how much hatred there is in the uk right now towards the labour government? I listen to savage nation every evening on my way home for work and although I don't agree with him on every subject, he is brutally honest and he is not prejudice, he will go after Republicians as well as the Democrats. This country is headed down a very long bumpy road and we need the likes of Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Limbaugh, and Hannity. I think everyone should boycott England, Iran's president has several times in public has said he will get rid of Big Satan and little satan, speaking of the United States and Israel, that the world will be better without them, and that he wants everyone to convert to Islam or die and yet he isn't banned from Britian, But yet he is not a threat to Obama either, go figure. People should read the book by Joel Rosenberg, Inside the Revolution, this guy has written 7 books, 5 fiction which 4 of them have come true and 2 non-fiction that have reached the ny best sellers list, yours eyes would be open to what we are headed for in the near future. You'll see alot of what is happening right now in the U.S. and what is coming in the future. Hatred is everywhere but its not savage

This Lady Jacqui Smith is a few fries short of a happy meal. Britain wont tolerate the far-right anti-gay and hate speech. I guess she don't notice the hate speech of Muslam in Britain which England led come in by the millions. Muslam decap gay people, I guess she thinks that is fine.

The UK Home Office has a website and email contact. That would also be a good place to let your opinions be known. If Jacqui Smith ever comes to America, I think it would be worthwhile for Savage`s listeners and the 912ers to picket the location.

Isn't this a setup to ban free speech in the US. If the government can say that right wing radio is so radical that countries like England have been forced to regulate it, they can make the same case here. Is this the "fairness doctrine" foot hold? I like Mike Savage.., I don't always agree with him, but usually he has sound logic even though sometimes it is so disturbing it is almost abrasive. Don't kill the messenger. Im just glad it was Mike Savage they decided to pick on. That man can defend himself and I would be glad to lend a hand to help him out if his right to free speech is challenged. CAIR is against Savage, and I feel their buddies in UK had Savage put on the undesirable list. We all need to boycott England until his name is taken off the list. Even if you do not like him, who is next, Rush, Glenn, you? At least we still have free speech in USA, Uk is not the same.
The most important line in that article was easy to miss, it was, "This is someone who has fallen into the category of fomenting hatred, of such extreme views and expressing them in such a way that it is actually likely to cause inter-community tension or even violence if that person were allowed into the country." Left-wing extremist have taken over the UK and they fear the violence their fellow leftist and huge Muslim populations will wreak if an opposing voice is allowed to be heard there. The same thing happened when Dutch politician Geert Wilders was banned from Britain because he dared make a truthful video that showed people the violence of Islam. It appears freedom of speech and truth are no longer welcome in Europe and as we saw in Congress here recently when they banned a scientist from debating against Al Gore and his global warming scam that freedom of speech and truth are unwelcome under this administration too!…Miss California is another recent example of how opposing views are treated here.
I have a question for anyone who knows the answer. Does the Fairness Doctrine affect Cable TV and Satellite radio? If it doesn't I suggest everyone of us that can afford it sign up immediately and help out anyone you know who can't afford it. Ask every one of the right wing talk show host that are on the radio to switch to satellite and cable.

I think it's still a little early for that. I'm no genius on the subject, but from what I understand, there is no "official" definition of what a future fairness doctrine bill would entail. I've heard talk of "localism" which would force more time on the radio waves to local talk shows and thus hurt the national guys like Glenn. I've also heard of talks of a fairness doctrine that would apply to radio only and an all encompassing fairness doctrine that would include all forms of media including even the internet. The problem is, no matter how it would pass, ultimately it would hurt talk radio more than anything else because of the way they are portrayed as so biased and "fringe-right" by the media, where the mainstream media, although more and more leftward leaning every day, is portrayed as unbiased journalism.
However it goes down, it won't be good for talk radio, but I I don't anticipate any legislation attempt in the near future. If someone knows more than this about any future fairness doctrine, please correct me or add to this.

If Congress imposes a "Fairness Doctrine", they will be unable to enforce it SELECTIVELY.
I would LOVE to see ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and all of the major newspapers have to fill conservative quotas.
All of those media outlets would have to let at least half of their existing liberal staff go, so that they could add a more diverse conservative presentation to their format.

To Me..Its not what Mr Savage says..Its how he says it..He is usually right.( in my opinion) but the way he talks down to people and calls names if you disagree with him is simply degrading..To the people he is talking to and to himself..It makes him sound small..He constantly refers to Hannity as the leprechaun..Rush Limbaugh as rush dimbulb..And on and on..The problem is, like i said, he is usually right but I have a hard time listening to him for any length of time..

I have read ALL the posts here, I have a question. After 9/11 where were all the sane Muslims speaking out at? Where were the parades denouncing the terrorists? I sure didn't see them on television or in person. We are going down the same road as Britain and no one seems to care. Sariah law seems to be the law of the land all of sudden. No National Day of Prayer? Why, are we physically hurting someone if as a nation we take a moment or two to say a few kind words or look to guidance?
The Barney Franks of Congress have no idea they will be eliminated right along with us poor smucks when we are taken over. There are good things that will happen when the good ol' USA is no more. There won't be a Sean Penn or Alex Baldwin or the rest of America hating Hollywood either.

Savage commands the third-largest audience of all talk shows in the country. He is also the most critical of Obama and the Democrat-dominated Congress. He is the edgiest. He pushes the envelope. He has been falsely accused of being a "hater" and engaging in "hate speech" plenty of times.
That's why he was the perfect target for a pre-emptive and insidious attack on his character. Here's the way I imagine it going down.

The problem with Michael Savage is that he condemns every other radio show host as being inferior to himself. Savage, does not want to be questioned on his intellect, Savage does not want to answer calls to callers that can challenge his arguments, Savage is a self-described martyr who has invited his martyrdom on himself.
Savage is clearly intelligent and a very knowledgeable man and he is not a hate monger in my opinion.
Savage is simply, a shock jock.
Those are my feelings exactly. I listened to him a few times and although he had some good things to say, he was constantly attacking Rush for stealing all of his material, and Beck for being uneducated. He says he's a conservative but he tries to play the victim card all the time like a liberal. It's sad. However, that doesn't justify in the least what GB is doing to him.
You might want to reconsider using the \”GB\” in a post like this. You probably specify whether you are referring to Glenn Beck or Great Britain.

I heard Dr. Savage tonight on his show say that Fox News is ignoring this story. That is scary to me…remember the old saying something like…."we hang together or we will surely hang alone" If Fox and Conservative talk radio is worried about censorship then they should protect ALL speech…..I may not agree with you but I will defend to the death your right to say it! I admit that I can't stand to listen to Michael Savage (something about his voice, just can't stand it), but the man isn't dangerous. I mean, seriously, he's just a guy on the radio. Savage has said since this came out that he didn't really have much of an interest in visiting England anyway, but it really disappoints me to see a major player in the Western world treat a man like this when all he has done is share his opinion. I know that England can't hold a candle to the freedom of speech rights that we have here in America, but maybe they should think about working on that. They should be trying to set a good example for the rest of the world.
Savage has major issues with anger. I wouldn't want him in my house. I think it is extreme to exclude a man from entry to your country because he speaks his mind, but I personally think he is nuts.
If England discredits people like Michael Savage, it could be an attempted lead in for the clowns in Washington.

I think everyone here agrees that this is being pushed by the muslim immigrants that are overrunning not only them but all of Europe. There are major major issues in the UK with extremism; they need to get all these people practicing sharia over there to follow the laws of the nation and need to learn how to step on some religious toes a lil harder than they already do.

Ok so some have, but on the other hand you got groups like CAIR that filed lawsuits to silience him and I read an article about a private muslim school in the USA. And several of the kids interviewed sympathised with the suicide bombers. I got the idea that they're not denouncing terrorism because they havn't made sure that guys like mewho only get1 hour of news or so a dayknow it. And cause I'm not naive enouph to think that the muslim religion is doing anything but embracing these pukes. I have to disagree. There are over one billion Muslims worldwide. Just because a select few speak out or support terrorism doesn't mean they speak for the entire religion. I have seen some speak out on Beck or O'reilly over the last few years. You can't blanket a race, religion, sex, or anything for that matter.

Its not that much of a privilige to visit a country that considers the practice of free speach something that wont be tollerated. Everybody knows this is being brought on by the ever growing muslim population in england. The first order of the new world order seems to be to appease the religion of peace.
Anyone remember the scene from the movie "The Wall" by pink Floyd, were the students are lined up marching into a meat grinder? That is the state of Britain today, and most of Europe for that matter. Their minds are comfotably numb and complient. So with that in mind why would the UK allow a free thinker and speaker like Savage into the UK? He could mess up years of conditioning. It would not be long before the people would be asking to eat their pudding before they eat their meat. Inside every man burns the desire for freedom and individuality; awakening that desire is counterproductive to totalitarian rule.

In short I stated…
Do not blame the British people, as I'm sure the true Brits (Scots, English, Irish, Welsh) are just as angry about the direction of their nation as we are about ours. They have been over run with immigrants from Africa and the Middle East and they are so politically correct it is enough to induce vomiting. The Muslims have a large say in affairs over there.
I know some blokes that I chat with in the U.K. and they've told me that:
- In some neighbourhoods over there, one cannot even display/fly a Union Jack (The National Flag) outside their house/apartment because it "offends" people.
- The Blue Arrows which are the Royal Air Force's demo flight team (similar to our Blue Angels or Thunderbird's) were denied performance in the 2012 Olympics because they are "Too British."
- LONG standing British TRADITIONS such as nationalistic song's, military parades and military performances are under fire as being "too militaristic" towards Islam and reminding Muslims of the oppression, mistreatment and their subjugation under the British Empire.
Some groups even complain that St. George, the saint of England, is too much of a militaristic figure and that he represents hostility towards Islam. Let me tell you, those guys I talk to in England are not pleased at all with the direction of their country but seem as powerless as we are to effect any change. They are also not very pleased or fond of our rude, simpleton of a president… I dare not even re-post what one of my friends "across the pond" said about BHO, it was utterly hilarious and he was just blowing off steam and joking but nonetheless it might put me on some kind of list…

The line should be drawn carefully. You want to prevent individuals with links to terrorism… prevent criminals from entering, but not ban people for their "values" or culture, ideas, religion, propensity for rudeness, etc.
This shows how corrupt England, and the rest of Europe has become. They prohibit Anti-gay, or any other weird Ideals from being spoken, but it is widely open to the criticism of Christianity, and any other moral ideals.
Where does Jaqui Smith, home secretary, have the power to decide who may enter England. Muslem fanatics, and other radicals may travel at will, but radio host Michael Savage is forbidden from entering because he will speak the moral values as he sees them!

I actually found it amusing that Michael Savage was denied access to England. He says some ridiculous things sometimes, and I personally find him obnoxious. I don't doubt his intelligence though. I just can't stand to listen to someone yell into a mic for hours. Also why I don't listen to "The Great One" Levin.

Ok, I don't like to sound too worried, but I grew up with Grandparents and Parents who lived through the Depression era and my Grandfather was forever saying things when I was young, that today are hauntingly true. First, he said that the next depression could be in my lifetime, that I should always be prepared and understand how government works its "magic" on such things to make them worse. Second, he said he personally felt there would be a time that liberty would be no more than a ghost of what it once was if people failed to grasp it and fight to keep it. And, lastly, he said that it could be possible that we American's, free to be, free to roam would find ourselves one day trapped in a smaller world than we could ever imagine when our own government, seeking to rule on a larger scale would assist other countries with similar goals to make citizens enemies. Now, if England does not see Savage as an enemy why is he on the list and if Homeland Security does not see us as an enemy why are most of us on a "radical" list? Our liberty and world are getting smaller.

Well let me tell you, I sure wish I had of listened closer. Cause he said alot more than I can remember. My Grandmother just passed away last week and I went to Missouri for the funeral. And, as my Aunt's and Uncles were going through some things this past weekend they found some things that I now will start collecting. In boxes my Grandfather had jars of silver coins and pennies made from steel or silver, not sure which. But he fixed things around the inside of the jar so you wouldn't know what was in them and them packed them in bozes. He had more jars of heirloom seeds labeled with planting directions. He had stories cut from newspapers and magazines of past crisis no doubt to compare with what was going on today. I realize now he was a history book that I really wish I would have taken more time to read.
No big loss for Savage, as said that he hasn't been over there in over twenty years. Plus, if you committ a crime over there, you have to prove yourself innocent not like here innocent until proven guilty. But, do not be surprised if Obama takes a liking to them banning free speech, he'll try it over here. It will be a way for Obama to silence his critics and make sure there are no more tea parties.

I can see it now. A repeat of Desert Storm. The Iraqi army gave us a list of the 40 (?) or so American P.O.W.'s.. General Stormin' Norman had to assure the Iraqi's that he intended to get them the list of P.O.W.'s – but because it was over 40,000 P.O.W.'s building the list would take some time.

Don't become angry with the British people. I believe the true English, Scots, Welsh and Irish are just as fed up as most of us about the way their country is going. Their experimentation with liberalism and socialism has brought them to where they are now and the true people of the UK are not exactly happy about it. They have become a nation of immigrants, among those are a high population of African and Middle Eastern. The UK now possesses a Politically Correct pseudo complex. The nation which once ruled the world has capitulated into the dark realms of progressive ideology.
I think that this latest stunt is more about political correctness than anything, they had some Muslims on their list. So, as to not offend the Muslims they added some non-Muslim's just to make it look fair. We have to realise that this country (the UK) has degenerated so much that when British troops come home from active operations they are insulted and bantered by Muslims who call them "baby killers" and "Nazi's." It's not like a passing remark by a few disgruntled individuals, they are usually Muslim's and obviously can be branded as extremists, they usually do it as a protest at homecoming parades and ceremonies as an organized group. When people who are pro-military step up and try and do something about it, they are in turn arrested. I believe that the "true British people" no longer have a voice anymore. I wrote them what I thought was a very heartfelt letter on how I felt Gordon Brown, and the UK as a whole, were mistreated during Brown's visit with Obama. I didn't get a reply back, but then again I had never sent a letter to a foreign dignitary so I wasn't sure if I should expect one. As a conservative myself I am no more a fan of Brown than I am of Obama, but it still didn't justify how our closest ally was treated. I truly hope this will cause more Americans to listen to Savage and read his books. My husband and I listen to him daily. Yes, he can be harsh, but he loves this country and believes in what America stands for. I think all of the conservative talk show hosts need to ban together now. If the UK is doing this to Savage, we all know it is only a matter of time before our useless members of Congress try to stop these radio shows. It is easy to see we are heading down the same path as the UK. Scary, scary times.
England could deny me entry till the end of time, doubt I'd notice. It's better to make a show of standing on principles by parading a few of those rejected than it is to DO something about the millions entering who really don't 'live by the rules that we live by, the standards and the values that we live by'. who really should be excluded from the country.

Funny, I didn't notice Reverend Wright on the list. Seems a little selective on the hate now doesn't it? I'll admit Savage is not my favorite talk show host but give me a break. In all seriousness my wife and I were planning a trip to England and Ireland this August or September. We want to travel internationally and support an ally at the same time. With today's news that is over. I refuse to support a country that suppresses free speech in such an overt manner. I recognize the challenges to free speech that exist in the US, but for now we still have the right to express our political ideologies without being blacklisted.
Lets see if the left uses this in any way to limit speech here in the US.

They haven't believed in equality in a long time, since law abiding citizens can't have a Colt 'equalizer'. I certainly wouldn't want to go to a country where I couldn't legally defend myself. If you look it up, British law actually has a case where a man was arrested as a "danger to criminals".

Maybe it's time to stop buying anything from England. But I can't think of one thing I actually buy from England.

Considering that Britian gave Iranian President ( I want to push Israel into the Sea) Mahmoud Ahmadinejad airtime for an "alternative Christmas message" to the Queen this past year, I wouldn't be upset about being denied entry.
I just put them on my "no fly zone" . With all the wonderful beautiful places in the U.S. why go to their snotty little country anyway…BTW my family came from England in the early 1600's — no desire to go back to the "old coutry" now…since it doesn't exist anymore. I hope we can save the U.S. from the same fate!

I found this website from watching Glenn Beck and have been increasingly frustrated by my government's disregard for, well, freedom, representation, realising that government is not the solution etc. Keep up the good fight America – you really are the only hope for liberty!

I'm not surprised to see a far right talk show host banned from the UK. What I was surprised to see were Muslim officials. I thought it was ok in Britain to be against Christianity, traditional marriage, guns, etc, but I thought the far left were welcomed with open arms?!?
Either way, I wish they'd have given us some contact info, I'd like to submit my name for inclusion on the list as well. To paraphrase Ms. Smith, there are certain values and behaviors that I find unacceptable. It is a privelage to be in my very presence, and if the UK cannot abide by my beliefs I won't travel there and spend any tourism dollars.

You know, I think that if they don't want someone in their country then that is their business. For whatever reason they have. But we are free to not do business with them either. Of course, maybe they would not be so harsh if our beloved president had given gifts that were a little more thoughtful. I know that the government is short on money and times are tough, but you would think that they could have come up with gifts for the Queen and Brown that weren't picked up at WalMart.

And good for those kids for openly sympathizing with the terrorists, it makes it much easier to keep track of them if they are open about it.
Making the assumption that the terrorists are representative of Islam is not only stupid, it's dangerous. By pushing against non-violent, anti-terrorist Muslims you are playing into the hands of extremists by alienating those people that could (and do) help us.
I'm also pretty sure that there are plenty of Muslims doing more than just talking; like the almost 12000 of them in our military; but as a former Marine I'm sure you were well aware of all that.

Well, I live where we get sometimes weeks of 0 degrees, and overnight lows of 20-30 below in Jan and Feb. North of the lake-effect snowbelt though, so we don't get more than our share of the white stuff. Lots of wind – couldn't keep a roof antenna up there – finally went to satellite – too far out for cable, or fast internet for that matter! Oh well, I suppose I should order one of Rush's Camp Gitmo shirts just in case. I wouldn't want to look like an outsider!
Yes I'm aware of muslims serving in our military I served with one and I had and still have no doubts that he had my back. Before or after 9/11. Actually a lot of what you have said has broken through to me but the stuff that you have told me is the first time that I've ever heard about it. So maybe it is ignorance (and to me ignorance means not knowing stupidity is not possecing the ability to know) So I feel better informed after talking to you and reading what you sent me. But if you call me stupid one more time this converstation is over. But I feel that a lot of what you sent was just empty talk, not all of it, but a lot of it was in my opinion. And I base this only on instinct. Thats it. Not facts just instinct. I think all of us are built with these instincts to survive and my insticts just wont let me buy into it wholey. I didn't feel that way about my friend and I cant explain why. I do feel more informed since we have talked and perhaps I shouldn't be so quick to judge. But I have no choice to remain a little guarded at this point.
I understand it's your opinion, but you haven't met over the majority of Muslims. That would mean you have met over 500 million. I'm willing to bet you have met a hundred or so. The majority live in Africa and the Middle East where they are too busy worrying about what to eat for dinner let alone how to attack the US. They don't care about world politics.
Also, why should it matter if only a select few speak out? Like you mentioned, just one or a few religious leaders spoke out from crimes committed here in the US during the Waco case or the polygymist cases.

But my gut savage instinct is that the wolves are in the treeline and I'm not going to trust anything that is coming out of that treeline until the wolves back off. If I'm wrong we're all safe but if your wrong, well I dont even want to think about that. And you cant deny the fact that muslims are imigrating into britain and europe at an alarming rate. But whats more alarming is that this is proof that they can sway the policies of a country, and in my gut I think england gave in out of fear or being attacked and that is really scary.

My Aunt's and Uncles have purchased a coin book so they can equally spit them up amongst themselves. Another thing that struck me was the CCC things he made notes on. The Government set up a program for young men to go to work on infrstructure programs during the depression, the workers needed cooks to feed them, my Grandfather, an only child loved to cook and volunteered. Although as a young man he must have enjoyed this, he saved all of the information pertaining to government decisions arising from it. I will tell you that he was so against social programs such as welfare and food stamps, that should any of his children, grandchildren or other relatives ever apply for it they would be cast from the family. He was for small government and self reliance. One tough cookie he was. I sure wish I could remember everything he told us.
I know it is so hard, when I pick something up I look at the bottom, if it says Made in China I ask myself do I really need it. If I can't find a similar item made in America and I absolutely need it then I have to buy it. Maybe we should highlight companies that produce great things here in America on the 9/12 project. I for instance bought my mom a Vermont Teddy Bear for Mothers day. Proudly made here in America!
