  1. ISEEU says:

WHO Says Swine Flu Moving Closer to Pandemic
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090429/ap_on_he_me/s...

So you all better not stage protests, because you might get the dreaded…SWINE FLU! Ahh, Run away! Lock the doors, stay home, be paranoid of your neighbors!

  2. triper57 says:

If you read the article on Drudge, according to WHO there is no flu epidemic. only a few (i think they said 7) have died and the number of cases is less than 50. And all the other estimates aren't from WHO and therefore don't count. So Which is it. An epidemic or just a few cases. Shows how believable the WHO is.

  3. ISEEU says:

Well, Maybe Europe won't have to prepare for a "Summer of Rage" now, because who wants to gather in masses if they might get germs.

  4. ISEEU says:

Well, I guess Swine Flu will put a damper on the Tea Parties, because people will be too paranoid to gather in masses, and that's if the government doesn't decide that for them.

  5. texasray says:

Today I heard the hog growers want change the name of the swine flu to H1N1. It seems to me there should be a source connection , if you recall Legionnaires Disease there was a connected with the American Legion Convention. This being the case why not call this flu: The Mexican Flu.

    • MR2 says:

The reason the Spanish Flu was called that is because the other countries had censorship policies in place. The Spanish were not at war and therefore were free to publish news about the outbreak.

  6. 1776time says:

If Obama came in contact with a Mexican dignitary during his trip to Mexico, who recently died from the flu, can we keep Obama quarantined for about three years, two-hundred and sixtyfive days, to keep us conservative Americans safe from him?

  7. acheyjake says:

Friend, a pandemic can't be controlled by anyone. A pandemic is an outbreak of disease that happens in many countries simultaneously around the globe.

  8. TearEmUp says:

Can we get the W.H.O. to raise the threat level on this administration?

  9. You know, I really think that this swine flu is an engineered designer flu. Over the airwaves and on scientific pages on the internet many scientists state that this combination of DNA – Avian, human and swine – does not occur in nature. I think some lab somewhere made this and then turned it loose in a variety of places. I don't think this is the "big" one, I think it is a test. Seems that here in the states it is relatively mild. Notice there are no cases is the Middle East, just the Americas, Russia, and Europe. Maybe other Asian countries are just not reporting, but either way it does seem a little odd. The reason that people may be dying in Mexico is a combination of poverty, dual health care systems – private and public – and people waiting too long to seek care. Also, the virus must have been going on awhile and not being reported or recognized as the flu since the season was over or Doctors couldn't or wouldn't report it. And if it is so critical, why aren't the borders sealed. Nothing is being done by immigration here, whereas Europe is limiting travel. So Obama must have been protected either by a vaccine or whatever antidote is available.

It is interesting tho' that young people with stronger immune systems are the ones having the hardest time.Scientists say that with the 3 DNA strains in it the immune system response is strongest in the healthiest people, making them sicker.

I know it sounds a little paranoid but with so many areas of turmoil, flu bug, NY fly overs, banks, ACORN, fraudulent ballots, real estate, commercial real estate, bailouts, healthcare, etc…. the stage is set to for whatever Obama et al's agenda is.

This is how Community Organizers work….just look at the Unions…now they own a car company. His objective is to focus on one aspect of the opposition, stir up a bunch of stuff that hits at the heart of things to destablize what makes the opponent feel secure – God, families, savings, retirement, savings, and earnings…bottom line = self-determination.My trust is gone and I keep looking under all the rocks and frankly, it is ugly what I see.

  10. BabyBoomer60 says:

Part 2: – This is his words: "I just learned that they vaccinated a group of doctors against the swine flu. They all died from the vaccination. More in the next Newsletter. There are already thousand dead in Mexico but they don’t tell you to shock you more with the final number when they finally revile it. No doubt!
In my mind there is no doubt that the government created this Swine flu Virus. They reason: to be able to call out Martial Law and close the airports within days. They will now take your guns, your freedom and mandatory vaccinate you and make you sick with it and eventually kill you! Bush started it Obama will finish it. There is only one party in America with 2 branches! They are all the same."

Here is that link: http://www.goodlifefoundation.com/ then click on Current Newsletter.

    • MrsJ says:

There is only a vaccination against the old variant of swine flu – and back in 1967 it did kill people. There is no vaccination for the current strain – and it will take 3-6 months to produce one. Trust me, I'm a biochemist :-)

The UK papers are reporting that hospital staff in Mexico are leaving in droves and that the death toll is far higher then the Mexican government are saying – one hospital is seeing 3-4 deaths per day.

  11. BabyBoomer60 says:

Part 1 – I subscribe to a free newsletter from Dr. Hohn who practices natural and holistic medicine. He organized a group of doctors and created the Good Life Foundation. Anyhoo, I received a newsletter today and thought this was interesting. I'm not so sure I agree with any of this, but thought none the less, it was interesting. If your intested, I have also provided a link below as to the reason he believes the swine flu was created by the government.

See Part 2 – (I was too long winded ;)

  12. NWMinuteman says:

This is just another crisis that the left doesn't want to go to waste. They will tell us that to protect the public from this pandemic, we need national health care. Not gonna work.

    • centryt says:

i'm not sure how much of a crisis it is yet.the cdc reports that there are 36,000 flu related deaths in the U.S. every year.the last few days have been no more than scare tactics by the media & the federal government.

    • NWMinuteman,

I just wanted to tell you that I visited your site, just briefly, but very much liked what I saw! I will definitely
stop by soon and spend a little more time there!

Thank you for being a stand up patriot and for doing what you do, by spreading the word! :)

  13. BabyBoomer60 says:

We just returned from our first cruise ever, and it just happend to be in Mexico. We stopped off at Puerta Villarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. So far so good. We returned Saturday, and so far no one has gotten sick. Talk about timing. Before this I have never even been out of the country. I've gotten different information on this, but from my understanding if we were going to catch it, we should have gotten it within 48 hours. Anyone hear differently?

    • As I understand it could take up to 5 days.

      • BabyBoomer60 says:

DennisCPO_RET – Thank you for the info. I first heard 24-48 hours, then later heard 3 days…..Yikes, it keeps rising! Our last day in port was Thursday. Hopefully, we're out of the woods soon.

    • I heard an incubation period of 6 to 10 days. According to the news today, cruise lines halted their Mexico destinations…Princess, Carnival, and Royal Carribean.

      • BabyBoomer60 says:

supportrtroops – Yep, I just heard the same thing, only I didn't know all of the cruise ships cancelled. Well, so far so good. No one feels sick yet. It's been 5 days since we were actually in Mexico. I guess it is what it is. No sense in worrying about it now. The cruise ship we were on (Princess) was very much into hand washing. They had signs posted about washing your hands for at least 20 seconds. I can vouch for all of the ladies in the restrooms at least :)

  14. What if our enemy’s got the Swine-Flu virus and cultivated it, and takes the virus and impregnate it
on millions of cheep paper mask and start giving them out freely, scary though, I often wondered
why someone would take a mask from a person they don’t know. Who do you trust?

  15. nlb says:

Acheyjake, no I was not under a rock and NO, I did not vote for BO. The adoration of the man during his
campaign sickened me. I am "beginning to think" all of this is happening because none of it was going
before the Jan 20th inauguration. As soon as he put his foot in the door of the white house, the change started.
Yeah, it's easy for you to look back NOW and say what you said. You know what they say about hindsight.

  16. Sunfiregm says:

This flu virus may or may not be a "Man Made Disaster" but I believe that the "other hand" is doing something that we will all regret. Too many distractions. I just hope that there is enough of our Constitution left in tact to allow us to fix it. I have read our constitution recently and I am going to read it again and make some notes on the parts that I think they are ignoring as well as the parts they have amended which perhaps should not have been changed. I would like to have a discussion about this most important document with other people who believe in it. Perhaps we can start a stream where we can pool our ideas. Is anyone interested in reading the document and then discussing it and debating it? I am not assuming that the people in this site have not read it and as such I hope that I do not offend anyone. I would just like to have open and lively debate about it.

  17. JayVanLith says:

I hope this swine flu won't hurt anyone else. But I'm afraid this will just be a tool for another politcal agenda! Any thoughts?

  18. novastramp says:

    Attention: CRISIS OPPURTUNITY UPDATE!!

Swine Flu = Nationalization of Health Care.
Big Three Auto Crisis = Nationalization of GM. (Government Motors)
Finical Crisis = Nationalization of banks & Insurance companies.
Farm Crisis = Nationalization of farming & food production through massive subsidies (1980’s)
Education = No crisis needed, it’s already nationalized.
What’s to come?? I guess a better idea would be to list what has not yet been nationalized & what the crisis might be the impetus to nationalize.
LABOR: With the continuing recession and job losses we will see the Nationalization of labor or historically unprecedented power given to Unions.
MEDIA: News papers looking for bailouts!! (Please someone explain to me why a really rich Mexican would invest in a failing, left leaning news paper?)
All these items seem to add up ultimately to the suppression of liberty and freedom for a world of secular bondage. What do you think?
    http://novastramp.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php...

    • acheyjake says:

      Why are you nova's tramp?

    • JayVanLith says:

I may not agree with everything you posted, but I think the majority of what you wrote "hits the nail on the head" Please continue your out-reach and wisdom. I think, when we believe about something deep, it is a duty to pass on our feelings/information to those around us. A+++++

  19. All I want is Liberty and I don't believe I have ever tasted it.

    • Jerseygal says:

Perhaps not in the purest of forms, but what other place onearth offers more in terms of liberty than America? We must all fight to preserve what we have, and also to regain what liberties we have lost in the name of 'progress' or'global warming' or whatever else the Statists have taken away. I hope that makes sense…it sounds a little clumsy.

You are spot-on with the Federal Reserve audit. I don't believe it has been audited sinceit was created. I am not an accomplished internet researcher, but I do believe that came from a reliable source.

      • If one could print money out of nothing they would do everything in my power to prevent anyone from finding out how its done. And there you have it, The Federal Reserve. Proudly steeling your tax dollars and savings through inflation.

      • If one could print money out of nothing they would do everything in their power to prevent anyone from finding out how its done. And there you have it, The Federal Reserve. Proudly steeling your tax dollars and savings through inflation.

  20. ….."however if you decide to accept things the way they are, as one of those liberty loving extremists"….

  21. Jerseygal says:

Why do you think I am sure you are not?

  22. In between getting slammed about religion? sure.

    • Jerseygal says:

I didn't slam you about religion.

      • the other guy was, attacked when he heard my first paragraph. He probably didn't read the whole thing anyhow. But that is what I am talking about. There may be a lot of people that fit in on this forum because of that, but I guarantee there are a lot more who don't. It will ruing the movement.

  23. Terlizzi999 says:

We are now at Defcon Swine as Obama pushes for his highly expensive and un-needed health care reform aka socialized health care. This administration is good at never wasting a crisis…even though at this stage its less a crisis and more minimal health issue.

  24. What makes you so sure I am not an "extremist'?

  25. Never said I wanted to separate god, your putting words in my mouth, I said keep it to yourself and in a mixed crowed you may scare off some people who don't agree with your religious beliefs. Clear?

  26. You will wake up someday. Good luck.

    • Jerseygal says:

I don't need your insincere wishes. You did make some good points, however if you decide to accept things the way they are, as one of those liberty loving extremists, I say – go for it. Will you be among the first to lodge complaints? That seems to be the way it is with the warm and fuzzy folks.

  27. GKR says:

I LOVED V for vandetta (note my picture!)
Didn't you think it was empowering? It was for me. I think that is the moment I decided
I'm not afraid anymore- I don't care what the govt. does- I will not go down without a fight!!!

  28. nlb says:

I am beginning to think that barack HUSSEIN obama is a front for someone else. He is embracing everything
that our country was against. And I do believe this is all planned for someone else to take over our country.
All this crap going on, all the lying by congress, now the swine flu to keep our attention away from something
else that is going to happen. obama cannot speak unless he has a teleprompter because someone else
has written what they want him to say. If the teleprompter messes up like it did yesterday, he is at a loss of
words. "oh no, the prompter isn't working, WHAT SHOULD I SAY???? If it completeley went out, he would
find some way to finish up his speach real fast. The man is a phony and a liar, and all the people that
he has picked for his cabinet are all in on this. Just give "them" time and they will take over.
By saying "they", I am not in anyway implying that I know who "they" are. I just know that America will never\\
ever be the same again. God help us.
    w

    • lmomeny says:

It will not be the same and Yes, someone else is helping pull the strings. They don't like moral freedom loving Americans because we remind them of what there obligation to this Great Country is! Instead, they follow there own twisted version of being an American without ever having to invest a drop of their own sweat and blood.
If they don't like the way we handle things in the middle east, perhaps they should go over there and do it themselves. If they don't like the idea of securing the border, maybe they should move to the other side. If they don't like my post its because my sons and I, along with other Vets and a supportive public have ensured that freedom for them. THAT IS THEIR RIGHT. But do they understand that they are tearing it down? The Tab is coming.

    • acheyjake says:

You are just now beginning to think that friend? What rock have you been hiding under? What were you thinking last fall, last November? Don't tell me you voted for the man and are just now thinking this way.

Friend, all of the info about Obama was out there, too few paid attention to that information.

      Take care, friend.

    • MeJane says:

I keep having the weirdest feeling, just before the Obamabots start to grow weary of his telepromptor, lies, taxes and broken promises, I have this feeling that whoever is his puppeteer is will have him murd ered. To make him a Christ like martyr so that all of his worshipers keep in lock step with the freedomless agenda and he actually becomes a religion.

    • WeimeeLady says:

I have always thought that he was groomed for the Presidency. There are too many radicals in his past and the fly over was just a vicious and cruel reminder of 9-11 and what could happen again. It's all so very sad to watch this, OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY, being demolished right before our very eyes literally on a daily basis. They are trying with all of their might to break OUR AMERICAN SPIRIT. But we won't allow that to happen, no matter what they throw at us. You know you really don't want to poke a stick at a dog !!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. MeJane says:

CAN WE SAY MISDIRECTION? WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON IN CONGRESS THIS WEEK? OH, NATIONAL HEALTH CARE – WE ALL NEED TO CALL CONGRESS TODAY!

  30. MeJane says:

CAN WE SAY MISDIRECTION? WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON IN CONGRESS THIS WEEK? OH, NATIONAL HEALTH CARE – WE ALL NEED TO CALL GONGRESS TODAY!

obama's clothing is wreaking of his islamic beliefs.

  32. chasl says:

I am 100% with you on this. but it is not only soros. the eastern world are laughing at us. I can imagine them turning on their t.v. sets and laughing and saying allah whom they believe is their god is the greatest.. america has fallen. thanks to our brother obama. his brothers in this video know him….

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9kOCxu0dvk&fe...

  33. Dustyluv says:

They should change the words on the Statue of Liberty to….

"Give me your tired, your poor and your SICK…Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…FREELY BREATHING ON AMERICAN CITIZENS WITH MEXICAN SWINE FLU VIRUS"

When in the hell are we going to send these diseased riddle rejects back to Mexico?

If it will help I will stop eating the vegatables they are here to pick, I will mow my own damn lawn and fix my own fence when it falls down.

If you hire an illegal…. YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM BUCKO!!!!
If you dont give them work they will leave………

    • Byboozian says:

Hey, isn't this country in the middle of a recession with the worst unemployment in decades? Aren't a couple hundred thousand seasonal jobs about to come into demand all over the country? Aren't those jobs usually taken up by legal and illegal migrant workers? Isn't there a threat of a virus that could go pandemic and kill millions of people where those migrant workers come from?

There is now way I could fit all of these together and come up with a solution to help american's though, I'm just not that smart. I'm sure my electec representatives will think of something though.

    • acheyjake says:

So what are you waiting on Dustyluv? I've grown my own vegetables and I built chain link and wooden privacy fences while I was in college.

Other than that, we have nothing in common.

  34. beckgether says:

No, I'm sure most are probably more. But you are the one that said you want to separate God from our actions because it "separates" people. I just think all that separating is just too PC. I think the lack of morality (ripping people off Madoff style etc.) stems from not enough God. Too much thinking they are God. Geez. Look at our top leaders. It is so pathetic.

  35. CatEye says:

    Anthem of Change

So many people, so little time…
First cow, then bird, now dirty swine.
We have the answers, we'll know what to do.
You'll owe us so much by the time we're through.

You must live responsible, you must live green.
To fill our wallets, our accounts, and everywhere in between.
To Goddess Earth, sacrifices, respects you must pay.
Your imaginary God on high has officially ruled his last day.

Give us your poor, your youth, your ignorant, and your afflicted.
This land is finally evolving, as countless have predicted.
Don't fret for your guns, weapons of "choice",
Soon a new flag of "change" over you will hoist.

    • CatEye says:

For peace, for unity your decrepit laws must go.
Such frivolous writings away we will throw.
Our world shall be one, ourworld shall be made clean.
Our world will operate unlike anything you have ever seen.

Do not be afraid, do not fight it, do not fear.
A new day of "Entitlement" for "us" is at last here!
Your change will not be easy, nor glorious, nor cheap as a dime.
It will chisel you down one ancient, ridiculous belief at a time.
We will teach you our truth, we will guide the way!
Be ready, be willing for our Change is here to stay.

PLEASE don't let this be our fate!!!!

  36. TMGallagher says:

…another Obama administration debacle. Remember, don't ever let a good crisis go to waste…no matter how contrived it is. Just put this in perspective and take into consideration that according to the CDC 30,000 people in the US die from the flu every year. THIS is being blown out of proportion…just like all the bailout sky is falling BS.

Be cautious if it makes you feel better (you know, wash your hands, don't let people cough in your face)…but, that's just common sense and something you should be doing anyway.

  37. Well multiply the amount the US said is sick within our country by 1000 and that is who is truly sick. So if they say 50 people are ill then 50 x 1000 = 50,000 and with any dead is kept quiet. I do not worry so much about this outbreak as I do if it comes back in the fall, then I worry. Our enemies can and will use this against us by getting ill and going amongst us. Watch for the signs of the ill.

    • Jerseygal says:

Hi, freeman, good point. We'll have a better idea about those #s in about 5 days, given the incubation period. And of course, there are those who are sick with this and recover on their own, and would not be part of the statistic. I think you 1000 # is pretty realistic.

    • acheyjake says:

Hey freeman, how did you come up with those numbers?

      • Goverment always reduce probability of dangers by ten fold to stop panic. Just hang on and watch the numbers grow as you can only keep a lid on something for so long.

  38. sandyjo53 says:

Wasn't there some scientist about a month ago that was talking to Hillary or someone on his administration that said that to many people on the planet was killing it and Obama is into science now with his latest speach.
Maybe this is a way to save the planet in their eyes, you create a virus and spread it around to wipe out half the population. Just a thought!

  39. americanj says:

And the Mexican boarder is still open!!! What will it take for this regime to get it? They are constantly stuck on stupid.

    • SheriS says:

Thank you! I've been calling them "stuck on stupid" for the last several months!

      • americanj says:

You're welcome. I just joined these debates about a month ago. But what do you expect from a candidate who had never run a business before or even a state or local gov't. The only executive experience he had was something he never mentioned during his campaign and the drive-by media never asked him about it and for good reason. It was the Chicago Anniberg Challenge(I may be spelling it wrong), Obama sat on the board and was supposed to have helped the poor inner city kids of Chicago with there education. Well, not one child was helped and Obama spent $160million of taxpayer money faster than anyone could spend it. It was Chicago's famous pay to play. Obama lined all of his friends pockets. People should be in jail. But it's the Chicago way.

    • Jerseygal says:

It's really sad…how do you fix stupid? I mean, we can help folks thru the flu, but fixing stupid? They are stuck on it because even the gov't can't fix stupid, no matter what propaganda they force on us.

      • americanj says:

Unfortunately, the only way to do that at this point is to vote them out of office. Too many people did not see this coming at the ballot box this past Nov. People just wanted change and did not care what kind. I am not saying John McCain would have been 100% better but anything is better than what we have now.

    • acheyjake says:

George 43 was stuck on stupid too, when it came to the border issue friend. So was John McCain.

  40. suthin_man says:

Anyone find it odd that Obama the Great comes back from Mexico and the swine flu suddenly appears? I know that the movie V for Vendetta was funky but the basic idea of the government represented in it is something like we are headed for. Their agenda seems to be on track, the masses are so starry eyed over Obama they don't see the freight train coming till it's too late!

    • GKR says:

I LOVED V for vendetta (note my picture!)

  41. sweetyla says:

I can`t explain this feeling but the plane photo shoot over NY has filled me with a urgent sense of dread. It strikes me as diabolical and well planned.I live 2500 hundred miles from there so its not a physical threat something much worse. The other hand must be planning alot of fast action for them to need all these distractions. I feel for Glenn and the other good reporters when they say there heads could implode trying to keep up with all this info. As for info on the flu it is important to be prepared, this is the first round if you research spanish flu 1918 you will learn the next wave mutates and becomes more deadly. from what I`ve read this strain mimics 1918 because the ones to die were the 15 thru 40 year old . Typically flu is more dangerous to enfants , elderly and humans with auto immune problems. I distrust the timing of Specters news also . And will somebody please shut the border down now , That does come close to home.

  42. Carm says:

The Liberals caused the SWINE FLU with all their "PORK". If there is a flu it was man made.

  43. BillStrong says:

In view of past crisis rushes for legislation , remember the stimulus ? , I have a hard time swallowing the timing of a health crisis that coincides with a push for National Health Care that was already being rushed by a fast track option . Do you really trust government ?

  44. Usermaster says:

I have to say, I think Hollywood has gotten way too much mileage here. If our conservative movement is to gain any ground against this current and vastly more deadly epidemic (and I speak of the Liberal Socialism Virus), I suggest we think twice before spreading any conspiracy theories.

In the last 100 years there have been a number of deadly influenza pandemics, the largest of which was the Spanish Flu of 1918, an epidemic killing almost 22 million worldwide including 550,000 in the U.S. alone.

This is not to discount or absolve the new bureaucracy of their handling of it, but I seriously doubt they contrived it to further their cause.

    - "Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean you're not being followed".

  45. Jerseygal says:

Okay, here's some food for thought. The BH0 admin is being praised for releasing part of their stockpile of Tamiflu to help combat this. Well, who's stockpile was it? George Bush's, that who. Stockpiled in the event of a pandemic, or biological attack. Will BH0 give any credit for the foresight of Bush? No, he will take the credit for himself. What an egomaniac!

  46. Jerseygal says:

Okay, here's some food for thought. The BH0 admin is being praised for releasing part of their stockpile of Tamiflu to help combat this. Well, who's stockpile was it? George Bush's, that who. North Americans are apparently contracting a milder strain (?) of this flu according to the morning news I heard here on the radio during my morning commute in Northern California. Does anybody know exactly what type of health care system is in place in Mexico? Last count, 160 deaths. Side note: Wasn't the President just in Mexico? hmmmmm…..

  49. Is it possible this has been around for awhile diagnosed as just regular flu or strep because the particular test for swine flu was not done?

  50. I'll bet the environMENTAL loons are loving this! The more people who die because of this the happier they will be. Less population means less CO2 and less resources used as far as they are concerned.

  51. Well, it looks like it has happened. I haven't been here for a couple of weeks and what do I find when I get here? Mainstream media! Yes, congratulations this site is busy covering what I could find on MSNBC, MSN or any other MSM outlet in the US.

Now must I ask again "watch the other hand"? It looks like the senate is set to confirm the new HHS director. You know… that communist lady. I was told a couple of weeks ago by a "site patron" on this blog that I should take it easy on many people who visit this site as "there are a lot of scared people out there who are just finding out about this stuff". Well boo hoo.

Congratulations on the advancement of this site into the MSM. I wonder what is really going on in the world today besides the "swine flu".

    • Ashrak says:

If you seek alternative topics, or wish to start a topic of your own, try "Vent". Read through those pages and you will find a great many topics not on the shortlist on the main page.

      Just a suggestion.

      • Your right the "vent" area can be a good place for people wishing to talk about things….. However my comments pertain to this thread. I wondered a few weeks back if this "project" was indeed a "religious movement". Now I wonder if the waters of this site are somehow "grayed" by the culmination of individuals who perpetuate the lies of the government and mainstream media.

One has to wonder if there are enough liberty loving Americans to actually create a movement that matters. Anyone who believes there is anything left of the Constitution can soon find the answer by referring to the document only to be "slapped down" as an being an "extremist".

The fact is there are too many people who do not care about anything but "shiny things" to keep them warm and fuzzy in their own corner. These people don't want to be bothered with the reality of the loss of their freedoms and want to resort back to their medication nation for their every savior.

So anyone who made it past the first paragraph of this comment (after the word religion was spouted) I am impressed with your fortitude.

    • Look at all the threads! and look at my -2! Did the senate approve the new HHS director? Yes she is in. Was anyone watching the other hand?NO. Did I get attacked for speaking the truth?

      YES.

I watched a news piece on a San Antonio station yesterday evening in which a family (one of MANY) was interviewed. The woman said "We are coming to the US to avoid the health crisis in Mexico."

I live close to the Mexican border. I was in a grocery store yesterday and decided it would be a good idea to pick up a small bottle of hand sanitizer for my purse, since I am in sales and shake hands a lot (a practice I have advised my subordinates to refrain from until we see where this virus is going). So there was this spanish-speaking family (nothing at all unusual where I live), all wearing surgical masks (which led me to believe they had come from Mexico since I have not seen anyone here doing so yet), FILLING their shopping cart with bottles of hand sanitizer. When I asked the man if he would allow me one small bottle I overheard a comment (in spanish) to his wife "she only wants one bottle!" My thought was "haven't they heard of soap and water!" It occurred to me that they might have run out of hand sanitizer in Mexico and were planning on selling it. No point to this part of my post, other than it was an interesting exchange.

During the "recent" avian flu outbreak I remember reading several such articles. I also remember the anxiety with which I read scientific articles on the subject. That outbreak seemed to have been contained. However, back then they implied that it was only a matter of time before the deadly virus from birds mutated, quite likely through swine, to the type that would be easily transmissible human-to-human.

In posting this link are you thinking "man-made disaster?" If so, I just have to say, whereas I put nothing at all past highly educated sociopaths in their ability or desire to wreak devastation, I think nature is far more powerful and uncontrollable than the "enlightened ones" presently in power, both in our government and in governments around the world, would like us to give it (nature) credit for.

If this becomes an outbreak, why would a national healthcare system need to be established? Shouldn't this instead be considered a national emergency; in which case FEMA would be called in to aid in inoculating and providing services required?

There are laws set up, we must enforce them. There are agencies in place, we must let them do their jobs.

Otherwise, we must fire the agencies, fire the swine in Washington causing the current pandemics within our government, and start from scratch with the law book (not the Constitution) to write laws that make sense and can be enforced.

We have the WHO calling the shots now, what's up with that? What happened to the CDC? I realize that this is a global issue, but anyone watching knows that the WHO have been involved from the get go, when it was mostly contained in Mexico.
I wonder how the CDC is taking it, being over shadowed by the WHO. But isn't this exactly like obama and the new admin? One world order. Does one world order now mean one world crisis?

So now we have the financial crisis and going to a global currency, the swine flu, what else? What will we be adding to this list?

    • We don't have a director of the CDC right now. That's another of the positions that Obama hasn't filled yet – much too busy going on television, playing golf, schmoozing with royalty, posing for photos, etc. So, I guess the WHO is just filling the void. Actually, I feel better with the WHO calling the shots than I would with anyone from the Obama administration doing it. At least the WHO isn't looking for the next photo op.

  60. White_Rose says:

New York House Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) Wants to temporarily shut down the southern border.

The "swine flu" that has infected more than 1,000 people in Mexico has led a lawmaker on the House Homeland Security Committee to call on U.S. officials to close the southern border.

Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) said the border should be closed until the threat is resolved.

"The public needs to be aware of the serious threat of swine flu, and we need to close our borders to Mexico immediately and completely until this is resolved," Massa said in a statement.

"I am making this announcement because I see this as a serious threat to the health of the American public and I do not believe this issue is receiving the attention it needs to have in the news," Massa said.

My thoughts: Is the the congressman just saying this to gain popularity or does he relay mean it?

    • acheyjake says:

I doubt that the border will be closed. This is the time of year that migrant illegal alien farm workers come streaming across the border to do the jobs that "Americans won't do". Even if Massa is serious about closing the border, he can't do it by himself. If he is serious about it, we will see what kind of leader he is.

    • winecup says:

I watched a news piece on a San Antonio station yesterday evening in which a family (one of MANY) was interviewed. The woman said "We are coming to the US to avoid the health crisis in Mexico."

I think Eric Massa should be applauded and vocally supported. Personally, I cannot understand why, with several cases apparently isolated in several cities in the US, "they" would throw up their hands in defeat of any further efforts in containment. Is it just me, or does it seem logical to curb further cross-border transmission?

      • White_Rose says:

What if the Flu in Mexico suppresses the Mexican economy even further? We will definitely see a rise in Illegal Migration looking for employment and I think it should be shut down for that reason if not many other reasons. If we didn't close the border after 9-11-01 and haven't closed the border after thousands of drug cartel killings on the Mexican side of the border and some on our own side when will we close the border. Phoenix with the 2nd largest kidnapping rate in the world, illegal's taking work from American's, the Ms-13 gang smuggling terrorists, sex slaves and weapons as well as starting new gangs in America. And now swine flu. The border fence may help a bit but it's not being built. Please sign the petition to finish the border fence. grassfire.org has many other petitions as well spread the word. http://www.grassfire.org/ Strength in numbers. Borders Language Culture.

The only way they MIGHT close the borders is if there is a rapid breakout of swine flu, especially around the border states. Otherwise they will continue to let them come over here.

That such a question has to be asked tells me that current office holders should be embarrassed by the reputation their peers have afforded them.

      • White_Rose says:

Will we ever have any faith in our elected officials? I was excited to hear my RINO senator Arlen Specter was down in the polls against Pat Tommey.

Arlen Specter is a prime example of what is wrong with this countries political system. They are in the business of getting elected and will sell their soul in a heart beat to stay in power. Gone are the days when elected officials govern on a consistent platform of principle (if those days ever existed). Even if I don't agree with those principles It would be nice to know where they stand so we don't hope they mean what they say. Arlen Specter's office told me on the phone that the Senator "did not need to read the bill" when I called him.
WHERES THE REPRESENTATION WHEN THEY "DON'T NEED TO READ" THE BILLS THEY VOTE ON? If politicians are elected to represent our views and values then how can they do so without knowing what the laws are that they pass. GOVERNMENT CAN NOT CONTROL THE ECONOMY WITHOUT CONTROLLING THE PEOPLE.
Arlen Specter was running TV adds to blame Pat Toomey for the financial downturn. This was such a desperate move to combat his sinking poll numbers with propaganda against his biggest threat to reelection in the republican primaries.

On 2-10-09 Specter told Fox News, “If Bloomberg has pointed out a potential problem…there will be clarification to avoid having the government meddle in what doctors do.” Also on 2-10-09 “We are not going to let the federal government monitor what doctors do,” Sen. Arlen Specter told Fox News on Tuesday.

The Senate stimulus bill provides $3 billion to computerize health records to cut costs and reduce medical errors. It also allots $1.1 billion to various federal health agencies “to evaluate the relative effectiveness of different health care services and treatment options,” the bill’s summary says. Yet he votes for the bill. Was this the part of the bill that he "did not need to read" as his office told me on the phone "he did not need to read the entire bill".

I feel so sorry for Hillary. look how old she is looking. well she fell in the trap. obama has locked her away so that she could not run for the next elections. look what they are doing to Sarah Palin. they are trying to CRUSH her. but I know that she is a very strong woman and actually she is a HUGE threat to obama.

Due to this there will be an outcry for National Healthcare and that if we had it already many of the infected would not have suffered. It will be the ooomph America needs to pass this legislation and we will be suffering because of it. These are just my personal thoughts and conspiracy part of me slips out every once in a while. Hopefully it doesn't happen as I would hate to see people die and because I would hate to see this country fall into National Healthcare out of panic.

  76. No, I actually always embrace that each and every time I say the pledge. There are enough people that debate our religion everyday without it being debated on this website. I just think there are more important things that need to be debated or "questioned" on this forum that bring more credibility to the blog in general.

What about "In God We Trust"? Does that scare you? What about the fact that it is printed on our money by the Federal Reserve which has eaten away at our liberties… AND practices immorality daily (and funds it)? Our monetary system goes unquestioned daily unlike religion. It disgusts me to no end that the Federal Reserve "gets away" with this behavior without even the slightest question as to its immoral policies.

With all the question and debate about religion why do we bring this question and debate ABOUT religion and the scorn at the hint of not being religious to this website? Why not put the question of immorality on the Federal Reserve? They hide behind our God and work their evil against our principles and values everyday. The proof is on the money itself and the greed we are seeing in the economic woes of our country.

Religion is personal and I prefer not to talk about it but live my life with it.

  81. I agree but we have been ruled by tyrants for 100 years now. Question the Federal Reserve and the rabid goat that feeds off its tit; better known as the federal government. Talk about that, question government and stop trying to convince yourself you have faith because you already know that goes without saying. It's not just this administration but all administrations over the last 100 years and probably further. This is nothing new they are just more pompous about it. What I am trying to tell you is religion creates conflict in a mixed crowd. It also diverts from the real issues at hand and causes the "crowd" to forget why we have gathered here on this forum. I am just saying that will scare people away and give the naysayers something to trash the credibility of this forum. I am telling you research the Federal Reserve and you will find your answers to immorality at its peak in government. . 93. I agree, but don't shove it down everyones throat. You know people may believe in a god and all his blessings including the principles that founded this great nation. But do they believe in your god? Can you really afford to lose people who believe in the same values you do but don't agree with your story of god? what if these people want liberty and freedom of religion? What message are you sending them if you want them to believe in freedom of religion? that it is only freedom of your religion? doesn't sound like they will fight for it or participate in it. As I see it, this site has less than 700,000 members on it. The country has 300,000,000 people in it. Do you realize the numbers you are dealing with? Do you want equal protection under the law? How many more people will come to this site to participate if they risk being beat up like I have for speaking their mind?

I guess we have to beat up on somebody if anyone. More proof that many people cannot handle the truth about corruption, immorality and greed in our government.

  94. Jerseygal says:

Good for you! Not that you want advice from me or anything, but try to be a little more up-beat and positive about the movement – perception, ya know.

  95. beckgether says:

Did not mean to have TWO posts…the first one didn't show up at first. Anyway, enough of this it is redundant. God is #2 of what 912 is all about. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I didn't write them…someone much smarter than me did. Ask Glenn if you can argue with him.

  96. Jerseygal says:

I believe religion has a place in America's value system. The far left keeps talking about 'separation of church and state,' however that phrase appears nowhere in our Constitution. It does say, 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;…'

Anyway, I suspect we may be on the same page on a number of issues, hence the thumbs ups. I actually prefer talking rather than typing as a form of conversation. Probably showing my age there.

  97. Jerseygal says:

Have they even disclosed how much money they printed? I would think that would be news. In the interest of transparency, Americans should know. Is it public record? It may be, even though it is not public knowledge.

  99. I would just take a breath and not worry about what you cannot change. I will pray you and your family will be fine. And I am sure you will be. God Bless.

You are very accurate in your statements about Chicago. I lived in that area for about 20 years until we got tired of paying the yearly increasing taxes. Moved to Indiana on 9 acres with a house double the size of our IL home and paid half the taxes as we paid in IL–25 miles straight east of where we lived. In Indiana our taxes were about half in total from IL and we had far better services and the people were nicer even though many worked in Chicago area–they were so glad to return to civility of Indiana!

Pay to play has been in existense for years in IL started by the Mayor Daley and carried on by his son! It is the NORM not the unusual! The fact that it is a crime doesn't stop Illinois politicians and will not because they always find a way around it!

Geez, I noticed Hilary looked as bad as old wet dishrag myself and noticeably worse since the primaries.

I have had many friends move from IL to places like Texas, Tennesee, Florida, and some other states. They all said the same thing about high taxes and lack of spacious houses. But too many people stick around which why they keep raising taxes. As for pay to play, it will probably never leave as to many IL voters or taxpayers do not demand accountability and who knows, maybe a lot of people left in IL are involved in pay to play as well.

Yes, I'm sure you are right.
