  1. dittoman says:

"Many members of Congress talk to advocacy groups," she said. "My phone is ringing off the hook from worried members who think it could have happened to them. I think this is an abuse of power."
    ———————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Why are so many other members "worried"? Is it because they know they are doing things they shouldn't? Of course they did! Does anybody have a doubt about that? "This discussion never happened" is a standard for I will not acknowledge this as I know it is wrong, but I will do it. She did not say "I don't care if you make this discussion public, I will not do what you ask".
Now even a blind man could see why all the screaming about wiretaps of foreign originated calls to our Democrats in Congress. They know they are having deals that are not legal. The answer is that they with a willing media, deflect the issue and turn it into an "abuse of power issue" rather than what they did.
"I think I didn't do it" is weasel wording. No one can prove what someone really thought. It is like "I don't recall" another impossible statement to prove wrong. The next minute their could be recollection that she did do it and no lies would have been provable. The idiots that vote for these people are too stupid to understand this. That is why they are victims all the time. Truth is they are victims of their own stupidity.
I wonder if the middle of the roaders who put these Democrats in office are happy now.

I believe treason, and giving aide and comfort to our enemies, is an impeachable offence, even if authorized by the President of the United States of America. It is absolutely unthinkable that any President would authorize the release of "Top Secret Papers" from the preceding Presidents term of office. I am not sure of all the details, but most classified information can only be made public after a certain period of time, usually a very long time and them has to be asked for by the "Freedom of Information Act.
Obama has not even been in office for 100 days yet.
Nancy Pelosi, has no concept of or fear of lying to "We The People" . I pray every day, that this madness will end SOON! Before It is too late.

    • ARMI says:

Referencing classified information, it can be classified for a day or virtually forever. It can be held at it's classified level, raised to a higher or declassified within legal parameters. A report would only EVER be released at the UNCLASSIFIED level. To release anything higher than that would be in violation of law.

The NSA only targets FOREIGN SIGNALS INTELLIGENCE. With that said, if someone the NSA has targeted comes into contact with a U.S. citizen, the conversation falls into other categories for consideration, but can still be reported on/retained and actioned upon. The NSA knows EXACTLY how far it can go. Has it gone beyond that? Of course. But the NSA has always acted on such cases with approval of the US Attorney General and/or the National Security Counsel.

http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB23/07-0... is an example of a document, SPECIFICALLY the declassified old version of how the NSA handles collection involving US persons. Note it was dated 1993. portions are marked out and portion markings (classifications beyone UNCLASSIFIED, noted as (U) are marked out as they have been deemed downgraded to the unclassified level.

      • ARMI says:

Don't get me wrong, I feel she should hang and if anyone abuses the classification of information, they should be held fully accountable under the law which CAN be punishable by death.

I meerly wanted to note how declassification of information is handled as well as how the NSA deals with persons with "U.S. Persons" status.

    • SnoDogOne says:

Just to be very CLEAR, I am referring to the Obama Administration releasing "TOP Secret" information on the use of extreme interrogation techniques to obtain information from our avoided haters, and the extremest that want us all DEAD.

  3. Mugwump says:

    This just in from topside,

Short anti abuse of power rant looks like from original equipment manufacturer, or messenger…

"Therefore, I, the Lord, justify you, and your brethren of my church, in befriending that law which is the constitutional law of the land; And as pertaining to law of man, whatsoever is more or less than this, cometh of evil."

    http://mytitleofliberty.blogspot.com/ If the nervous moderator didn't pickle it… ;-) )

  4. thinker67 says:

I think it is the height of hypocrisy for any politician in this day and age to be complaining about any abuse of power. Don't go crying to the bruised and bleeding for sympathy when all you have is a scratch.

  5. detestObama says:

This must be investigated. You know the New York Obama Times, as well as other wacko news media, will give very little coverage, because it may tarnish the "GOOD" standing of one of its members!

  6. Marine4EVR says:

I've had it with corrupt government officials. At the least…..this congresswoman should be thrown out of office by impeachment.

  7. g_raffe says:

Why did she say the conversation "didn't exist" both on the tape and on CNN if she claims it wasn't wrong? Why bother to deny something that isn't damaging?

Oh, and Pelosi denies that any lobbying for the Intelligence Committe Chair took place? Are we supposed to take her word for it? [I CAN"T WAIT for the next election, so that Nancy Pelosi can go back to being MINORITY leader again!]

  8. Prepared1 says:

My favorite part of the article…"I never had any idea that my government was wiretapping me at all,". Isn't that the point of a wiretap? Doesn't it defeat the purpose if they you and tell you they will be listening? With her extensive knowledge of covert actions she wanted to be chair of the Intelligence Committee? Are you serious?

P.S. – I don't remember her coming to Newt's defense when he was recorded, illegally.

  9. Dave48763 says:

Yep,,,Bush did everything,,,darn,,,even blacked out CIA documents,,and gave them to the press and than the American people are covering it all up,,,I bet Bush even done it all back when Clinton was in office,,,,yep everytime I hear BUSH DID IT,,,BUSH was the one who caused it,,,One just has to wonder by now you would have thought that "transparentcy in goverment would have stopped him,,,and here I thought he was in Texas,,on his ranch,,,",,,One thing I will say,,,I bet he is not bowing to Kings,,or giving IPODs,,,or getting books about how bad america is,,,or even speaking publicly about Osama,,,but than I did not agree with him on issues,,,but so far he has not snuck into my home,,,or signed things,,,or enacted my budget,,,:)

  10. Dave48763 says:

You have to look at anyone who says,,,it was Bush,,,,or he did it,,,,Bush was requested to release the TARP,,,by Osma,,,,Osama did NOT use the guidelines Bush had in place,,,Osama and hsi "people as soon as they took office,,,created you know that UNWRITTEN ECO plan,,,,and its so called written guidelines that everyone read in the 1100 page Stim plan,,,( excuse me BILL),,,it was Osama,,who could have VETOED all of it,,pork and all,,,I guess Pelosi,Reed,Banks,Holder,,,etc,,,better get some better security as it is clear that Osama's Adminstration has Bush sneaking into various WDC buildings and offices and even xeroxing 11 page Stim bills while the Osama group was at dinner or asleep,,,

  11. Dave48763 says:

Ag Holder as a legal authority in DOJ,,,with the office to ensure ethical and moral values in all goverment activites,,,what did you do,,,even one case to stand up and even prevent " good old boy roundups",,,,what about the "American Taliban John L,,,,"did you not know, work with his father,,and after his caputure on the battle field that also had him involved with a Marine capt life loss,,,have his dad use the DOJ to have his son the "american Taliban" placed in a federal prison,,,not Gitmo,,,,special treatment,,( sure got an easy sentence as well),did this all happen Mr Attorney General,,,When you speak of "cowardness",,,and ethical, moral values,,,wire taps,,,what are you affarid of,,,but than only will you relase wire taps that do NOT involve your friends,,or political conected,,,,or all the memos, facts, events, your real actions or inactions,,,Yep,,I understand you may not recall,,,

  12. Dave48763 says:

AG Holder and his ethics, morality under Clinton were very impressive,,,,after all he did not speak up and stand on his ethics when he as a DOJ ethics allowed the "US Park service investigate Hillarys alledged lovers death, instead of the FBI",,,nor did he stand up with his ethics when the FBI agent wrote the book "UNLIMiNTED ACCESS" about Hillary,Bill Clinton,( the book the Clintons tried to step from being published, yet a federal judge said as along as it is factual, and it is,,,),,nor did Holder( DOJ Ethics section) step up about the moral issues when DOJ allowed Clinton to let "convicted drug dealers get pardoned and released and on a plan unannounced 3 hours before President Bush was sworn in,,,,and stopped the rest,,,yes,,,orders came to have the "thug" on the way ,released and to Wawshington before 11 am the day Bush was sworn in,,,

  13. Dave48763 says:

  14. brights says:

    I agree with that 100%

  15. Prepared1 says:

Doesn't it defeat the purpose if they you and tell you they will be listening? With her extensive knowledge of covert actions she wanted to be chair of the Intelligence Committee? Are you serious?

  16. Dave Carter says:

If this story is true, how can she defend herself when she was talking about seeking leniency for two spies? If those two are convicted, please release the tapes. Right before her impeachment.

  17. RetiredChief says:

Wait one damn minute here!!! I don't care if they were wiretapping the dog for fleas. It was a legal wiretap and she got caught. Unlike others that say it is much to do about nothing I say NOT SO! I for one think it is about time "OUR" elected officials are held at least to the same standard as all of us. Which is to say "OUR" butts would have been hauled off to jail within the Hour.
But truth be told these elected official represent and make laws that we "ALL" are suppose to follow or is there a clause that says all but us? Then we all wonder why our country is crap and people are going off the deep end.

    • tallyho says:

Her problem is that she was talking to foreign suspected Israel agents about a deal she a=was making with them! As far as I'm concerned she is toast!

  18. OldMarine says:

I am tired of hearing the NSA as the great Boogy Man, tapping people's phones, etc. The NSA was established in the late 50's, I watched it being built, my Mother worked there for a period of time. It's sole purpose is to monitor calls going to and coming from overseas and certain foreign nationals in the states. It was not designed to monitor inside the U.S. There is no one person listening to the calls, it was and is all done by computers, there are key phrases, much like here on certain words sends us to the moderator. In fact, the Cray computer was developed and designed for this. So, giving the fine people, a lot are uniformed military, benefit of the doubt, if she got caught, she was talking to someone she may not have been or said something that was keyed on and frankly, I don't feel sorry for her. The NSA is doing the job it's suppose to, keeping America safe and believe it not for years, most America didn't even know it was there. If you are ever in around Fort Meade, Md you can drive by and see it, just follow the signs.

    • KWilliams says:

ah you mean all that clicking on my phone was just static :(

      • OldMarine says:

Most likely, but actually you might need a new phone. See my early post, they want to listen, bring it on, I have nothing to hide.

    • C_Marie says:

Thank you for your service. Thank God for your mother.

      • OldMarine says:

You're welcome, but as I said before, I saw my duty and did for God Country and Corps. My Mother passed away in '82, that's why I pulled the plug on my career, so I could be at home with her.

    • ARMI says:

The other side of that is if someone at the NSA illegally recorded or otherwise obtained information illegally, that person would be held accountable under the law with prison terms. Having worked there, you DON'T make a move like that because there is so much oversight that it WILL be looked at and you WILL go down for it.

      • OldMarine says:

I remember my Mother telling me about some of the security, nothing to specific, but at one time, you couldn't even take a pen or paper out withou permission. I've heard of the oversight, that's why when I hear about the NSA tappingphones inside the U.S., I want to puke. These people are the best, and the screening process is a bi—,I don't know if they still do, but lie detectors were regularly used.

  19. Jared says:

It seems to me like we are seeing a story just like this about every week now. How many weeks will it take before all Americans start realizing that what they want doesn't matter? "Quid Pro Quo" is obviously more common than virtue in Washington today. Ofcoarse she claims to be innocent of any illegal doings, everyone is before they get caught and proven guilty. I really hope I dont offend anyone here by saying this but at least the Terrorists stand up and accept blame for the things they do wrong. I guess that its too much to ask for our politicians to do the same.

  20. Nalen says:

I can't believe this. How is she still in office and then there is actually people that are supporting this deceptive behavior, saying that this is an invasion of her privacy. What the hell is going on. Seriously. I no longer understand what someone has to do for them to be booted out of any seat of power. If this isn't wrong I don't know what is. We the people have a right to know about every conversation that all of these politicians(Republican and Democrat alike) have with anyone that is not a family member or close friend. The sad thing is I'm sure this behavior happens all the time. It's sad to see how far we have fallen as a country when we can not expect our representatives to have the morals and values that we have. And yet when we find out about this kind of behavior there seems to be noone calling out for her resignation. I am calling for that resignation and so should everyone else that believes in doing the right thing.

  21. JaJasMa says:

This is hilarious. "Did our Government abuse the rights of American Citizens, including members of Congress" this is like the POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK! A Democrat in Congress that suddenly wants to tout the importance of American Citizens Rights! I guess they feel it's only necessary to recognize & uphold American Citizens Rights when it pertains to their personal freedoms. Any other time someone stresses their concern for American Citizens Rights they are labeled a Right Wing Extremist & are put on the DHS Watchlist.

  22. The reason I have never worried about wire tapping or the NSA listening in on my personal phone calls or e-mailis, I AM DOING NOTHING THEY WANT TO HEAR ABOUT.

    • OldMarine says:

Same here! I frankly reached a point, that I don't care what is done as long as they are keeping the citizens of this great country safe. Why worry if you aren't doing anything wrong. Like you, if they do listen in….they'll be bored Sh___less

      • If the Government wants to listen to my calls or monitor my e-mails…have at it, like you too…they will be very bored, very soon. Ya know come to think of it…my underwear draw seems like it was re-arranged.

  23. KWilliams says:

Alrighty since I am being quite vocal tonight I might as well continue:). I say we start a fund to hire investigators to dig into every liberal democrat leader of the house and senate and learn the truth. J Edgar Hoover was a wise man when it came to this. He knew the more dirt you have on a politician the more you can control them. So let me know when the fund is Started I will be the first to contribute.

    • You accept paypal?

    • Nalen says:

I agree with you 99% but we need to know everything about every congressman and senator that is "serving" our country at all times. Not just Democrats. I used to consider myself a republican but no more I am so disgusted with how we have allowed our elected officials to run amock, doing whatever they feel will help them achieve as much power as possible. We need to have term limits on the house and senate. Power corrupts. Absolute power absolutely corrupts, and this is what we are now seeing with our country. I want a regular joe in my states seats, no more lawyers and lifelong politicians, they are all corrupt. I trust the man with his hands in the dirt everyday like me.

      • KWilliams says:

Agree Nalen, was concentrating on Democrats at the moment because if any more republicans get thrown out of office there wont be anyone who can vote against them lol

  24. KWilliams says:

  25. Moonman says:

Do the voters in California elect anyone with any integrity?

  26. stash641 says:

So AG Gonzales shuts down a legitimate investigation into the congresswomen in exchange for support on other legislation??? I'm thinking of a word…………….what is it???? EXTORTION!!! Both parties suck, both parties are corrupt.

  27. Nomarxism says:

It just never ends. Predictably she complains about being victimized when the facts regarding something crooked in her past starts to emerge. That party and its deranged adherants are just so fundamentally flawed that it boggles the mind.

  28. Billerz says:

Simply put… THEY ALL MUST GO

    • nikali says:

I agree they all must go and now not later. Waiting for elections and terms to end is not the answer, America will be no more by then. There is so much corruption in both sides of the Government that our only choice is to clean house and start from scratch.

  29. KenR says:

i say wire tap all politicians that way there is allways acountability
people with that kind of power over other people do not deserve privacy
if they dont like it dont run for office if their honest then no worries

  30. OldMarine says:

  31. If she is so willing to get these into the publics' hands, then i wish her all the best possible speed. The article that we are repsonding to is not enough for me to make any kind of informed decision o express an opinion on.

As these things go, if in fact she did something "wrong" it becomes an ethics issue for the Congress to deal with. You already know how ethical that body is.

  32. knutjb says:

If she was picked up in a legal wire tap by the NSA she has big problems ahead of her. I saw Pelosi on tv answering questions about this and she looked rather distressed, likely trying to figure out how to run the bus over her without losing the speakership. Give all of them their day in court. If Bush sent some Repubs to jail will Obama do the same to Dems?

Well nothing like "Change We Can Believe In".

  33. knutjb says:

Will do….we need to remember to thank the reps. that actually represent us on occasion!!

LMAO….this is too funny. What's good for the goose is good for the gander too!!

    • pain says:

This is ridiculous!!! Another politicitan busted and instead of explaining and answering for what she did, like every other dem. she wants to blame Bush for recording the conversation. I've been thinking about robbing a bank, if I just figure out how to make it Bush's fault so I don't get in trouble.

  36. any body else having problems get to the 9.12project today besides me

    • COMel says:

Yes…takes forever to load when you finally get it to connect. I am hoping it is because of the high volume of users!!

  37. prw201 says:

This is just one more example of corruption in our government. Both sides of the fence have corrupt politicians. The people of this country need to pay more attention to what they do and vote them out.

    • tvlgds says:

The difference is that Republicans are prosecuted even on phony charges, as in the case of Ted Stevens. Liberals are given a pass and embraced by the White House. We need to kick every one of the crooks out of Congress and start over. Any one of US would be in jail for a fraction of what they're doing.

    • watman43 says:

(g.r.i.p.) get rid of incubent politicians

  38. poorboy says:

Do you see how loud they get when they are caught in the act. They scream my rights have been violated even when they were tracking an agent from abroad and they just happen to catch someone from within. It is so corrupt in Washington, I couldn't trust my own mother if she was up there. Clean sweep in 2010, no survivors, We have to get them all. It's like operating on CANCER, if you don't get all the cancerous cells, it comes right back. Please if you are smart enough to run for office do so and lets make real change. If you don't feel like you should run then make sure you can vote and vote for someone who will clean this mess out. Thanks for listening.

    • TMGallagher says:

I couldn't agree more! Every day a new revelation about how pervasive the corruption actually is. I can hardly watch the news any more because I get so angry.

      • KWilliams says:

ah well the sad thing about it is this. Anyone who would run would be investigated, tailed, followed, audited, slandered by the main stream media, and at the end of the day probably have some men in dark suits knocking at his or her door. Hard to imagine why anyone would want to put their family through that.

  39. TXTJ says:

WHEN A DEMOCRATIC OFFICIAL FROM CALIFORNIA SAYS THEIR CONSCIENCE IS CLEAR, YOU CAN BET THEY ARE WORRIED. DEALS OF YOU SCRATCH MY BACK I'LL SCRATCH YOURS ARE SEEN IN BOTH PARTIES. BUT GETTING ONE ON WIRE TAP, NOW THAT'S A NEW ONE.

HAD THAT BEEN ONE OF US FOLKS WE'D BE SITTING IN A CELL RIGHT NOW WEARING ORANGE.

OUT YOU GO WITH THE REST OF THE LOT COME 2010.

  40. Minuteman79 says:

You can't see it, but I'm playing the worlds smallest fiddle for her right now…

  41. Down2TheC says:

Pretty obvious… ever think that maybe they were wiretapping the agents and got you as a bonus? What a dingbat. And she's only calling for a release of the info because she knows there's sensitive info in there and they won't want to declassify just yet. Hope they come out with a redacted smoking gun and take her down with Feinstein.

  42. CarolEWash says:

Oh what tangled webs we weave. Karma. The more corrupt , the more it shows. Like dominos they will all be falling come 2010. Vote out these people that believe that they are above the law. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. We the voters are watching now, get used to it.

  43. Lord how many hours in the day do they have to waste trying to blame Bush. Wish they would spend as much time working for the PEOPLE. One question is there anyone in this Administration or Washington that shouldn't be handed a warrant and sent to jail?

    • stash641 says:

At this point I think I would rather have these clowns distracted with their own corruption than "working for the people". The more they work for the people the more freedom we seem to lose.

  44. americanj says:

Jane, you should know by now that it is the coverup that is the real crime. What is Nancy pelosi allowing her memebers to participate in all of they pay for play schemes all on the dime of the taxpayers? Most corrupt Congress ever. Thank you very much nancy for helping Barack Obama break all of his campaign promises. You should have had Obama campaign on "Change that will never hapen under my watch". But , that is obviously something that you could not do because that would be a politian being honest. And that would be, "No, we can't".

  45. 95SVTCobraVA says:

She knows that the NSA intercepts ALL communications world wide and has for years. Im sure that they concentrate on certian people and red flags, it looks like she entered into that trap and got caught wheeling and dealing. Oh well what can ya say. She got caught by the Big Brother that she helped to create.

  46. Bcoultry says:

"My phone is ringing off the hook from worried members who think it could have happened to them…"

Now THAT says something about our officials, doesn't it? Would they be worried if they hadn't abused their powers in some way?

  47. htrn says:

So she was caught in a wiretap. Note the wiretap had nothing to do with her. The NSA had stated, "Sources told CNN this week the National Security Agency intercepted a conversation that Harman was participating in, but said Harman was not the intended target of the wiretap. The wiretap was lawful, the sources said."

So they were tapping the wire for some conversation. We don't know where this happened. If it is in her office, perhaps she has a deviant that is working for her. Why must people be so pig headed to think everything is them?

I'm sure they have a file for a ton of things. Most of which just gets shredded and never sees the light of day. This one got leaked. If she's innocent, let her prove it to the public. If she's guilty, let that be determined in court. Otherwise, this seems like much ado about nothing to me.

  48. This is what bothers me, if she was a republican, she would be forcred to step down. As a democrat, she will now get a promotion to a better committee with more things to screw up now.

  49. Boopster says:

The battle cry for politicians has become I didn’t do or say that, or I did not do anything everyone else hasn’t done Then they invoke their rights under the same Constitution they have abused and ignored.

  50. Jaggers says:

It is always abuse of power when it happens to you. Otherwise it becomes our patriotic duty to submit. I wonder when she is voted out of office she will claim the voters have abused their power.

  51. From what I can tell, this article does a good job of being neutral and not showing any bias (Good job CNN). The wire tap, I am sure, was legal (approved by a judge), and most likely for the lobbyist in the AIPAC. If she got caught with her panties down during conversations with them, that is her fault. I am sure that she did not ever call them, that is what the lobbyist is for, to get ahold of her and have conversations with her. What she is trying to do now is disrupt and deystroy the case against the two AIPAC officials (lobbyists?), by releasing information/evidence to the public. Sounds like she is still trying to hold up her end of a deal that she may have with them, to protect them in any way she can.

  52. jwjcc1 says:

It's funny how Jane doesn't view California's rigged congressional districts as an abuse of power. The fact that we pay for her office/ staff/ transportation/ per diem/ salary and everything else, seems like we could be getting more bang for our buck. Here is a suggestion for you Ms. Harman–unless you are going to sponsor legislation in support of re-districting, why don’t you just continue to relish in your public thievery, or KEEP YOUR PIEHOLE SHUT!!!

  53. jwjcc1 says:

Heres a suggestion for Ms. Harman–unless you are going to sponsor legislation in support of re-districting, why dont you just continue to relish in your thievery, or KEEP YOUR PIEHOLE SHUT!!!

  54. Simple fix. No lobbyists no problem. No secrets, no problem. Plenty of integrity, no problem!

  55. SCarolina says:

Oh no, it can not be a Democrat that is a crook only coservatives are crooks the Dem, and media tell us so. …….Senator Feinstein made sure her husband received Billions for his company from Tarp money, it makes me sick how the spend our tax money…..Rep. Harman and Feinstein are crooks. American have to clean out Washington. We could pick from each tea party Patriotic Americans with common sense and send them to Washington we would have a better country…like Dusty they can wiretap my phone any time, it could happen, you all know we on a terrorist list with our Vets…Clenn is on top of the list,,,lol

  56. kypatroit says:

What the hell is going on with our Congress? It seems every single day, another story comes out about how rotten they all are! Give me a break! Turbo Tax Cheat Timmy should just lead the way for them to all march straight to HELL! That is IMHO!

  57. Ashrak says:

Newsflash Miss Harmon – everything you say and do as a government official should be something you would be happy to have everyone hear and see. If this is not the case, then it is a good bet you shouldn't be doing or saying it.

If you are unwilling to have your employers, we the people, see and hear what you are doing, then it is time for you to resign your position in government and return to the PRIVATE sector. See how that works Jane?

    • VA_patriot says:

Excellent post, Ashrak! Hmmm, I wonder what would happen if I decided to undermine my boss?

    • Gregory says:

Some govt officials would resign to save any semblance of respect for the office, others will only go fighting every step of the way, while pointing the finger at someone else.

    • OldMarine says:

Great post as VA said, If that conversation was made on a phone from her office, then it is definitely our business, but if its her private phone, well then we enter a gray area.

  58. MikeinIdaho says:

Wow, another Democrap caught abusing their power. And from the most transparent administration in history. how could this happen. I'm shocked, just shocked, I tell you! (Sarcasm off)

  59. Dustyluv says:

Gee I hope they wiretap me. I want Obama to know how pissed off I am!

BTW what the hell did she do to draw attention to herself in the first place? hmmmmmmmm

I am sure there was a reason for listening to her. I believe she is a kook….

  60. Mark1957 says:

No, She abused Her Power!!!! Throw the book at her, and all of the other crooks on the hill!!!

  61. oldhen says:

"I, frankly, think my name is clear," she said. "My conscience is certainly clear. And I think the question is about … did our government abuse the rights of American citizens, including members of Congress, with legal or illegal wiretappings about things that were not appropriate and then selective leaking of the product of those wiretaps."

Talk about shifting the blame! She "THINKS" her name is clear….why doesn't she "KNOW" her name is clear? If I am accused of something that I didn't do, I am adamant that my name is clear! She is, IMO, guilty as hell and is side stepping in order to buy time to build a cover story. I think the AIPAC is ticked because she was unsuccessful and has, some how, gotten the details released to punish her for her failure to produce. Their guys go on trial soon and it is a bit of a "coincidence" that this is coming out just now. There is something very fishy about the whole thing and, to me at least, it is just more proof of the corruption that is running rampant in D.C.

  62. sailing5660 says:

Just goes to show they are on both sides of the fence. Power seems to corrupt all of them.

  63. Military_Mom says:

Washington has lost their minds! Energy hearings on now! It isn't bad enough that this bill will raise our energy bills an average of 3100. per year but now CERTAIN members are making deals that exempt their districts for up to 25 years in return for their vote. So some lucky folks can pollute for free and the rest of us pay more. On top of that, now anyone can sue nyone for global warming if this passes. Think of the implications. If you heat with wood to save costs, your neighbor can sue you. If he just doesn't like you, or maybe wanted your home, he can sue because he believes you are at risk of polluting. Call and email. This has got to stop! This should not pass and how dare they make closet deals so some companies that donate big dollars can get a pass

  64. VA_patriot says:

More fuel for the fire, Americans! More reason to vote ALL of them out!

  65. Morgue says:

I applaud CNN for mentioning that she is a Democrat, maybe they've noticed their sinking ratings.

  66. Gregory says:

I love it when someone abuses their power, and when caught, claims others abused their power.

  67. ARMI says:

Polygraphs are required at least every 3 years. As to the screening process of the job, let's just say that noone likes the idea of 20+ years in jail, so it it is better not to violate nor even come close to violating the law.

  68. OldMarine says:

Hey, not bad from working off of memories 40+ years old.
