    The Lesson continues:
While many Americans laud the president for giving the Navy SEALs the go ahead to shoot the pirates who held the civilian hostage, in accordance with the The Law of Nations, no such permission was ever required.
The captain of the vessel was the ultimate authority, not the president. The Law of Nations also adds that a pirate, being the enemy of all humanity, is not due a trial but immediate execution. Why waste the time and money staging a trial in the United States? Toss the goblin overboard trussed up like the pig he is- then tell Barry the problem was taken care of.

If America is to be a nation under the rule of law why is our government made up of lawyers so ignorant of law?

Israel uses the Law of Nations in defending their people from hostile neighbors- Why does the United States surrender its sovereignty by running to the United Nations?

  2. KingdomNow says:

    On Pirates:
"A nation cannot punish them for faults committed out of its territories.
Except such as affect the common safety of mankind.
But this very reason shows, that, although the justice of each nation ought in general to be confined to the punishment of crimes committed in its own territories, we ought to except from this rule those villains, who, by the nature and habitual frequency of their crimes, violate all public security, and declare themselves the enemies
    of the human race.
Poisoners, assassins, and incendiaries by profession, may be exterminated wherever they are seized; for they
attack and injure all nations by trampling under foot the foundations of their common safety. Thus, pirates are sent to the gibbet by the first into whose hands they fall."

The above was penned by Emmerich de Vattel in 1758 as part of his Law of Nations, a treatise on nations and nationhood which was the primary reference used to justify the Declaration of Independence as well as the basis of the US Constitution.

I think we should offer all of the Pirates a free vacation to Texas. We warm. hospitable texas would love to show them our sandy beaches, our vast plains, our awe inspiring lakes. Come on down to the East texas Piney Woods, it's beautifull here. We have a lush, deep forrest here. It only took NASA six months to find all of the Space Shuttle. I know, I did a medical clinic for them. I wonder how long it would take to find a Pirate there? (Next time you meet someone involved with the shuttle recovery effort, ask them how many old, decaying skeletons they found in the Piney Woods of East Texas.)

Wake up genius. The USS Cole was attacked on CLINTONS watch and US personell were KILLED and injured. They were not allowed to attack the small boat before ir bombed them as a result of whiny liberals who cry for peace against people who are killing us. If you truly were concerned about doing the right thing then maybe you should also look at the fact that it wasn't bush who did nothing while an american soldier was killed and dragged through the streets of somalia, the same country who is now attacking us with piracy. Yup, again that was clinton. They didnt attack us before on the open sea because they respected our military power even if they hated us.

  5. Hanna_S says:

I don't see where you apolotized for your mistake in asking why Bush didn't do anything about the pirates, when in fact no pirates had attacked US ships for over 200 years. Why don't we all stop the blame game and deal with what is on our plate today. If you all don't have anything to offer but criticisum of Bush, which accomplishes nothing, quit taking board space.

  6. tghack says:

In the words of George W. Bush, "Bring 'em on!" As good as our military men and women are, they could always use a little target practice. Pirates sound like as good an interactive target as any I can think of!

  7. Ashrak says:

A threat to kill Americans, eh? Sounds like something a muslim terrorist — OOOOPS—- let me correct myself —- "A human caused natural disasterist" says.

  8. Backdraft says:

    I meant 240 not 204

  9. Backdraft says:

I like the pomp and circumstance of your idea. As a former marine, I know we're always down for a good fight (haven't said no yet). But lets be honest… They don't need all that fire power. These guys are coming in little diggies shooting at basically nothing, just pulling the trigger. All the guys on the boat need are a couple or rifles (springfield, enfield, mossen naggant, M-16, remington anything, or go a lttle bigger with something like a 204-G max range on a point target at 1200+ yards) and a good set of you know whats. Just a few well placed shot will turn their heads and send them to the bottom of the sea. We're talking $5000-$20000 tops (ammo included).

  11. Eaglepilot says:

These pirates are cowards and they're muslim radicals. Maybe pelosi or reed or frank can fix this…Oh, I forgot they're cowards too. Send in the Marines and the SEALs. They have the motivation to get things done without worring about hurting someone's feelings. We are the strongest navy in the world..Can we act like it without our commander in chief having 17 meetings with his advisors before acting on a problem.I'm trying to be fair but it's quite frustrating when we are being attacked on all sides and our own government says that we deserve it because "We're mean". Congress will vote themselves a raise or pass the stimulus package as soon as the bill crosses their desk without even reading it.

Their greed will end this nation
    God save this Republic

  12. Dave Carter says:

The statement from Obama was he'll stop the increase of pirate attacks. That means he won't eliminate them and America is weak. Clinton says she will seek international support against the pirates (oh boy!) and go after the money.
I'm sure the Navy is wondering, as do I: why can't we just finish this?
Why do they want our Nation weak?

  13. KWilliams says:

Dear Pirates, We appreciate you making it easier for us to locate you so we shall make it really easy for you. We are located in North America right below Canada and above Mexico. We love to hunt too so we would appreciate you sailing all those little stolen vessels over here for our maximum enjoyment. If you make it before hunting season you will Make Peta happy for instead of Deer, Elk, and Bears being shot this year we can issue Pirate permits and do a little hunting ourselves:)

  14. Bryan91101 says:

If no one else will ask this question i will, What qualifications does The Great Obama have for anything? What else could he do except give the "OK" after everything turned out for the good. You can bet if had not turned out well someone else would be sitting in the brigg beside the piarat.

  15. Backdraft says:

And they never got help from the feds? C'mon really. And what with the mayors ability to call upon the National Gaurd. Is that Bushs fault too. Should he have activated them for the mayor? The real answer is no. It's not the Presidents responsibility then or now to make decisions for local governments. The mayor should have asked for specific responses and should have told the President exactly what he needed and wanted.

  16. KWilliams says:

Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer:) But, honestly no cant stand the man but was curious what kind of liberal spin this idiot could put on Patriotic Americans

  17. GodHelpUsAll says:

    LOL You too? : )

  18. Let me get this straight… they attacked a USA-flagged vessel and they got their butts kicked… THEN the SEALS came in and finished them off. Then they threaten us? I didn't know people could nail their own coffin shut from the inside. Someone needs to sing them the Marine Corps anthem as a reminder of what happens to pirates.

  19. marypieri says:

People threatening Americans? Is this something new? Truly, it's only going to get worse, considering the Congress, Obama's administration, and Homeland Security that we have at this point. They always seem to believe that they can pacify terrorists (swashbuckling, romanticised, pirates, no)….terrorists….They need to start realizing that it's AMERICANS FIRST, and quit worrying about who they offend or whose "feelings" get hurt…..

  20. alcade says:

And another thing, the USS Cole was bombed on October 12, 2000. That would put the attack right at the end of the Clinton presidency.

But I guess if Obama can place all the country's blame on his predecessor, then I suppose Clinton can place all the blame on his replacement.

  21. mustang48 says:

The Somali pirates are ancestors of the Tripolitan pirates, who were pirating vessels in the exact same waters from the late 1790's to 1809. They were paid ransom by every country except America, and that by order of Thomas Jefferson. Who also started our Navy in order to defend those privateers who sailed those waters. When the Bashaw of Tripoli took the crew of the USS President hostage (from being stranded in low tide) he did not expect Lt. Presley O'Bannon and seven Marines to be the force he would have to reckon with. With the aid of 600 egyptian mercenaries, he was defeated and the piracy stopped. I say we send in a couple of Marines and kick their asses. OOORAH!! (I'll go)

  22. Gregory says:

Hmmm, pirates? That won't put them on a terrorist watch list.
Make them Christians, Conservatives and Veterans, that should get Obama's attention.

    • KZ1776 says:

Not unless they're the Pittsburgh Pirates. Then they'll be put on the terrorist watch list. The Pittsburgh Pirates terrorize their fans every game they play.

    • jolim says:

Is this site just about showing hate towards Obama? He ordered snipers to shoot the pirates, and he ordered our military to protect our ships. The 912 project hardly looks non partisan if we can't give Obama some credit once in a while.

    • warlock says:

Maybe he won't be able to find the pirates because they'll throw their own tea party that he won't be able to know anything about!

  23. MPhillbilly says:

Part of the mission of the Navy, is to ensure open waterways for free trade, and to guard agains piracy. At least used to be, before our military was downsized, in the 90's by Bill Clinton. I sailed the West PAC for almost 8 years. This would not have happened on this scale, when the U.S. Navy was in full force. If Obama wants to gain my respect, militarily, build our Navy back up. I believe the Navy SEALs performed the rescue of Captain Phillips, not Mr. Obama. There was a delay in this rescue, of several days, due to diplomatic negotiations, which IMO hampered an operation, that could have been carried out with 24 hours with the same results. This is what the SEALs do. We may not have 4 days to waste time next time. Being former Navy in the aviation field. Why not pull an Aircraft carrier into the area? Alert fighters can travel much faster than a ship, and use one of several options to take care of the situation pronto. Send in helo's to pick up prisoners. It will work, it has been done before.

  24. Brendae says:

And another thing. Did you all see the new map? Yep, now they want shippers to stay 600 miles off the coast. Ain't a bad idea, really, but that sure doesn't solve the piracy problem now does it? No, it says we're scared of them. What a bunch of crap.

  25. Brendae says:

But what really gets me is that the owners of these ships don't do a darned thing except pay the ransom. Christoforoururur or something like that, who owns a bunch of ships said taht since the ship, freight, and men are all insured he doesn't really much care about piracy. Oh wait, he does care about the lives of his men – sorry. So, in effect, isn't he responsible for what's happening – he and all his megarich shipping magnate buddies. Who's going to hold them accountable? Why does it have to be our military? To me that's a lot like putting GI's in the crime-ridden streets of any large city.

  26. KZ1776 says:

Why is it when a conservative deals with pirates like Obama did, they're called warmongers and hatemongers? When a liberal does it, they're heroic! they know how to lead! Of course this isn't all so very rosy for Obama. Sites like Huffington Post have called Obama's actions unnecessary. They think he could have found a peaceful solution. Yet had this happened on Bush's watch, and had Bush responded by ordering the pirates taken out, he would have been called every name in the book. Therefor, I think it only fair that Barack Obama should wear the monogram of Babykiller Obama for the rest of his presidency. Indeed Obama did order babies killed. They were all teenagers.

    • jolim says:

What should Obama have done? Do you think that he should have paid the ransom? Are you saying you would have let the pirates go?

  27. kingfish55 says:

Well, if these Muslim terrorist (Pirates) continue to threaten American shipping, we'll just ask the United Nations if they can put sanctions on Somalia, arrest and prosecute these man made disasters. That should really put fear in their hearts. Imagine being hunted down by the UN? lol.

    • KWilliams says:

No I loved them talking about freezing all the pirates accounts lol. I about busted a gut at that one. Only a dead brain liberal would come up with that one.

  28. With this money folks that they are making they could come here on visas and hijack cruise ships and sail them into international waters then what do we do blow it out the water as they kill passengers, if the navy keeps following them. Anything is possible…

  29. Who knows maybe a Mexican Drug Cartel will post a multi-million dollar bounty on Obama. Oh no, I might get kicked off this site and that would S**** but who knows it could be possible. Wait if this happens, I might be an extremist. I say this because a lot of Americans are hurting because they are losing money, some don't have anything to lose they are living in tents and Mercenaries are about the dollar. The cartels control Mexico who knows Calderon is up for re-election and is losing that's why Obama is headed down to Mexico to make sure he gets elected again. Could this happen especially, if they are granted a house and protection in the state of Mexico. Please don't kick me off :(

  30. Madazhell says:

Clinton again!!!!! Still working I see

  31. MPhillbilly says:

I want to know Who is the president? I assume it is not Bush. It is a little late to bring up the last 8 years, though it seems more popular than it was during the last election, or even 10, since, that was Clintons time. We have the problem to deal with now. Never had my ship fired on, without returning fire. Must be a new policy.

  32. I'm sure the DHS sec, will give the "Pirates" some names and adresses to start thier "hunt". (Make the current Administartions job easier, get rid of some of those "pesky" conservatives)

  33. Whether it's hunting pirates or "man caused disasters" the military needs to shoot on sight and forget about the old tactic of taking prisoners because their bosses in the government have changed their policy from extracting info and incarcerating to inviting to American soil and getting welfare. Don't give the government and the ACLU that opportunity to import terrorist here.

  34. KWilliams says:

Anyone see the show on Keith Olberman tonight. Now we all have a brain disorder and are nothing more than a bunch of white people who hate the fact Obama is in office. Need I say more except we really need a national boycott of GE and we need it now!

    • KZ1776 says:

Poor Keith Olbermann. He lost hundreds of viewers when he de-flead his dog. He doesn't even know that Obama isn't black. Obama is biracial. So, if we're racist like Olbermann claims, doesn't that mean we all hate white people too?

    • Uhhh What the Hell are you doing watching Keith Olberman??? Do you have a brain disorder or somethin' ???

      j/k :-)

    • Down2TheC says:

I have a soft boycott going. I need nothing from GE except parts for some old GE appliances in the home. But I'm not researching everything I buy to see if GE owns the manufacturer of the product. They have a lot of fingers in a lot of pies. (and two thumbs up their arse)

      http://WeToldYaSo.com/phpBB3/
A forum for the 912 Project.
It still has that new forum smell!

    • Gregory says:

Hmm. Seems that the labeling of us as crazy came quicker than I had thought. Remember, crazy people can't own guns. I just received my Texas CHL renewal in the mail today. The envelope had been taped. Kinda makes me wonder.

  35. KWilliams says:

  36. 1SavageFan says:

I want to know why they got away with firing grenades and automatic weapons at a U.S. flagged ship. WHY IN HELL DIDN'T THE NAVY SWOOP IN AND BLAST THEM TO SMITHEREENS? Seriously, there were no hostages to worry about. It can't take more than half an hour to get a jet or helicopter to the area. What gives? No country would hold it against us either! I don't get it.

    • KWilliams says:

Well that one is simple. They had to consult with Obama, Obama had to consult with Nancy, Nancy had to consult with Harry, and Harry had to look behind him to consult with Barney, Who had to look behind him to consult with Tim . By the time they made a decision the pirates were gone.
