    All these countries are just sitting there like wolves waiting for us to fall. Hugo Chavez is not knocking the stimulus plan because he wants Capitalism to fail, he is knocking it because in his Communistic/Socialistic mind he thinks it will save Capitalism. Capitalism is not failing all on it's own. It is failing because it has been over regulated. Several times, the market has already attempted to correct itself. If the government does nothing more, the market will continue to try to correct. How funny, I want our Government to listen to Hugo Chavez..

    Now, that is a scary thought.

    Does anyone remember a few years ago when Chavez offered free heating oil to folks in New England and they turned him down!? I hope it's a true story. In any case, that's the kind of courage we need in this country. Chavez is an evil man who wants to bring down the U.S. Period. We have to see him for what he is … EVIL. The people who turned down his offer for heating oil knew what they were doing! Bravo!
    Unfortunately the media don't get it but as long as we all keep talking, keep pointing out evil, these leaders will be put down. Eventually. It will take patience and perserverance on the part of us all.

      I deleted the post due to not wanting anyone to think as you and I don't how many other may have thought I was referring to harming the President. I will be crystal clear about this I do not agree with anything he has done so far and have zero confidence in his ability to lead this country. The last thing in the world I would want is for someone to attempt or succeed in hurting my President. I can't begin to think of the complications that would cause this country. As far as the original subject, Chavez something has to be done about him. He meets with Russia, Iran and Cuba to agitate our enemies and rattle the confidence of our allies. Now he wants to push the reset button, why? Maybe he saw the way (as I predicted) Obama handled the recent No. Korean issue, all smoke no fire. From now on I will refrain from posting after a late night of drinking.

    The article is hilarious- Obviously a socialist like Hugo Chavez hasn't a clue how real economics works because he doesn't realize that capitalism will survive the current slowdown and emerge more powerful than ever. In fact, the bailouts only made the issue worse, propping up companies that needed to reorganize, using the funding to justify control. Indeed, America would have been much better off had the government gone on vacation for the last half of 2008 and the first half of 2009 instead of voting on the abortive bailout and subsequent boondoggles.

    Everyone, we need to organize this group and leverage the momentum Mr Beck has started.

    We need:

    Board i.e, President, Vice, Secretary, Treasurer, etc…

    Committees and chairs for different initiatives for the project

    A fund and a manner to contribute

    A link to the website that we can forward to our friends and family with a 10 minute intro about what we are trying to accomplish.

    As a retired Marine and current General Manager for a distribution company I believe structure is required to obtain results. We have to chart a course and start pulling the government back to where our Freedom is paramount!!!

      It should be done on a local, state, regional and national levels.

      It may be easier to organize on the state level first and work from there.

      1) The leaders at the state level could develop a plan to run an activist network within their states.
      This would be done with the input of members of their states.

      2) Each state would send representatives to regional and national meetings. These reps should be selected in a way similar to that of a jury. That way everyone has the opportunity to participate, and it also limits the amount of politics within the organization.

      3) We have to find a way around the normal disagreements that come with something like this. We need to focus on getting things done rather than spending what limited time and resources we have in resolving disputes and negotiating points of interest. Basically, we need to show show the political elitists in Washington how to go about doing their jobs the correct way..

    So how is it that if something were to happen to Hugo Chavez Vice President Biden would fall ill and the Speaker of the House would access the Presidency? Is there something in the Constitution that state if the leader of Venezuela dies the US President forfeits the position to the Vice President?

    Now I had a little too much tequila in me when I posted that and I really wouldn't want to see Chavez killed, if he was to choke on Lengua de Res I wouldn't lose any sleep over it either. So quick tip, read the article and the contrast of the post before you put in your two cents. :-)

  11. I would like to take this opportunity to ask all my fellow 912'ers the following question seriously;

    When BO made his speech to the people of Germany during the campaign Angela Merkel had a closed door meeting with BO for all of 5 minutes but would not be seen with him nor attend his speech.

    When BO went to the G20 conference Angela Merkel would not work with him at all nor be seen with him as much as possible.

    Now, I ask you, does Angela Merkel see something that 52% of America didn't as a nation? Maybe because she may be old enough to remember, or, accurate German History tell's her to stay far away from this guy?

    Does Angela Merkel feel she is seeing an Instant Replay?

    I believe she does and for some reason I trust her judgement!

Interestingly, Germany and France have swung to the Right while Britain and US swung Left (ideologically speaking.) Germany and France are still more socialist than the US, but who knows what will happen to them in the next decade?

More and more people are feeding from the trough being led to the slaughter because of welfare, illegalization of illegals, income redistribution, socialist medical health care or any program that will suck in the stupid and use their votes to keep such freebies. Tunnel vision at it finest, and the oligarchy are controlling those who will become the majority. This is why we have moved from being a Republic and nation of laws, and become a democracy, ruled by mob. Next to fall will be electoral college voting so that the little people will have their voices stopped. Chevez planned his moves by handing out freebies to the electorate and then taking over a government using his military to maintain his power and crush the opposition. It coming to a place near you! Right now you have the choice to stop it. Rally, Tea Parties, Independence on the fourth of July and vote out all encumbents in three election cycles.

      Very well said. Those words might mean as much now as when they were first written. What scares me most but makes the words even more relevant to today is the knowledge that the majority of American citizens do not recognize that quote.

      For starters we would have saved about $ 1.4 trillion between the stimulous and that stupid omnibus spending packages. Look, McCain was not my first choice but at least I feel he would have been held in check by conservative congressional leaders. He also would not have thumb his nose at the voters. There is a reason why Obamas numbers are starting to tank. His arogance.

As for his crude oil production, since he took control, has dropped dramaticly. Why? Because he isn't doing the necessary maintanence. The type of crude oil that is produced in Venezuela is called "Sour Crude Oil", and it contains Sulfur! There are only a few Oil Refiners in the world that can refine Sour crude profitably, and they are in the USA. Unless he knows something we don't, he is forced to sell it here!

He ran the companies into the ground making them take their profits and hand out charity. No money is going back into the companies and all the equipment is breaking down.

    I do agree with Chavez in that the IMF and the world bank are partly responsible for the economic crisis.The real cause of the problem is the restriction of capitalism.The G20 are just compounding the problem through more restriction.The real solution is to free capitalism in order to let the markets correct themselves.The more they socialize capitalism the less productive the market will be.

My husband is Bolivian and Chavez has literally made the new Bolivian socialist President Evo Morales his puppet. 90% or more of the population of these countries is indigenous – hard working, wonderful people but largely uneducated in the ways of the outside world. When a charismatic leader comes along and promises them the world on a silver platter, they fall for it hook , line and sinker. Their loyalty can be bought, then it is armed and voila you have a military force. One by one the SA countries are moving toward socialism and control of the masses by a treacherous few..     I do not understand the actions you are taking as your leadership takes the United States and the world down the road to socialism. Your efforts are half-baked in my opinion and it seems as if your feelings for the little man/woman are not firmly placed in your hearts.

    If your feelings for world socialism are real, you would ask Putin's Russia to take over Europe and assist Russia in doing so. You would encourage China to annex neighboring nations including all of Korea and Japan and parts of the middle east, and of course, Taiwan. You would encourage China to also annex all of the Pacific islands, including Australia. You would encourage all countries in South America to succumb to the will of Hugo Chavez and his socialist agenda. Speaker Pelosi and President Obama, you would annex Mexico and Canada and create Mexamericanada.

    As for the continent of Africa, we all know that Africa isn't capable of living in a socialist world. No matter how much aid we socialists send to Africa, many parts of that continent are in continual chaos. If you really care about Africans, you would just quarantine the area and allow the people there to die in peace, if not pieces.

    Please President Obama and Speaker of the House Pelosi, if your dreams of socialism cast the world over are real, please go all in. The world will be a better place.

Most of the dem half of the demrepubs seems to be making it up as they go along. The repub half of the demrepubs acts as if it doesn't know whether it should @#$% or go blind.

      Have you ever wondered recently why many of your Democrat representatives have not scheduled town hall meetings or issued position papers? Perhaps it is because those representatives don’t want to address their constituents. It is obvious that those representatives have disregarded or dismissed their constituents’ inputs and requests to stop the march toward socialism.

      But doesn’t every representative have to stand for re-election every two years? Wouldn’t you think that to get re-elected, they would not avoid or evade their constituents because that would not endear them to the voters next time around. But that is exactly what they are doing. So it seems that they do not care about being re-elected. There must be more to the story.

      President Obama (BHO) has pushed for many of his campaign promises that cost trillions of dollars even though the economy is in trouble. That does not make sense unless BHO’s agenda is an economy that is centrally controlled (read: socialism) by an oligarchy. BHO cannot do it alone; he must rely on hand-picked comrades to carry out his plans. In turn, it means that, under the guise of distorted constitutional authority, elected representatives who have sold out to BHO will be rewarded by him, and the change to socialism will be a done deal. Being well-connected individuals, your representatives will vote to exempt themselves from BHO’s socialistic, spread-the-wealth economy. Being part of the oligarchy, your turn-coat representatives will avoid the rationing that will become standard under socialism.

      The trick will be to recall those representatives immediately before they have the time to do any real damage, like vote for trillions and trillions of so-called stimulus bills that do nothing except enslave the population to the government. The BHO agenda is moving as quickly as possible and he ‘hopes’ that his ‘change’ (campaign rhetoric) from a republic based on capitalism will be replace by an oligarchy based on socialism. Power grabs by BHO and the debt being blown through the roof by Congress will seal the fate of the citizens. The only place they belong under the "Structure" of our Constitution is in the "Judicial Branch". It is a "Conflict of Interest" for them to hold a position in any other branch of any government in the United States,
    If you don't think this is true then just ask yourself one question; "Why does any lawyer running for a legislative position have to resign as an active member of his/her law firm? Because it is Unconstitutional". If you think they resigned and left their Agenda behind you are "SADLY MISTAKEN".

    What we aren't thinking about is when oil is attacked by this administration oil prices are going to go way up because the folks in other countries that are willing to drill will begin cutting production and raising prices. They just snuck in a bill that confiscates 107 million acres of land that is oil-shale & oil rich. Once the foreign countries realize we will in no way be able to drill for our own oil the price is going to skyrocket and guess who is going to be there waiting to sell you a lawn mower with wheels; Government Motors, yes that's right Obama's car company. You will be forced to buy them or you'll go broke driving the car you enjoy.

    Just to make things better Judge Napolitano on Fox & Friends said there was a bank that was forced to sell shares of stock to the government. When this CEO told the government to take a hike they told him that they will cost him millions in audits if he didn't sell the stock. This bank DID NOT take any bail-out money, but the board of directors told the CEO to sell them the stock because being audited was far worse. Then the government told the bank they were going to place a government employee in the bank to oversee operations. This also happened to a different bank that wanted to pay their bail-out money with interest back to the government, but guess what the government would not accept the money and told them that they needed to have a government person in the bank to oversee operations. Tell me we aren't becoming just like Venezuela!!!!

    Venezuela is a perfect example of the decline of a society. Eventually, the poor masses choose their "champion" who does nothing but promise to give back to the people, to give them what is their due, to rule unbeknownst to them in a state of Tyranny.

    This "champion" keeps his word (albeit while strengthening himself in power) and inefficiently begins to provide for the masses. These masses gratefully receive the tidbits that can be thrown their way and clamour loudly about how wonderful their champion is.     Wrong. What they are accomplishing is a self devouring society that feeds upon itself, due to the masses justifiable inability to see beyond their next meal. This self perpetuating cycle of decline exists until eventually there is nothing left to devour and only their "champion" and his duly elected magistrates remain.

    Does any of this sound familiar? Those on the dole elect those who will continue to keep them on the dole. This is because we have lost the four important virtues of :Temperence, Courage, Wisdom, and Justice.

    I think that maybe Larry, Moe and Curly would have had something more substantive and meaningful than this dynamic duo. But then again, if they would hire Sean Penn to be their front man, oublic opinion might be more supportive of them? :)

    Both of their economies are fueled by the market, the very same capitalism that they are bashing. I suppose it's ok (if i were socialist leaning, which I'm not) for a country to confiscate private property and use it for "the greater good"….but I couldn't think of two worse examples than these two. It's defining the greater good that gets pretty slippery – and where we find outselves at this moment in time.

    Either way, it's capitalism and the free market that allows one of them to become a dictator while buying his people off(for the time being), the other to build his nuclear weapons and a world minus Isreal(as long as Israel doesn't object).

I live just north of Honduras and our stupid president, Mel Zelaya, wants to be just like Hugo. He has stated he wants to first take over all electric companies. The electric company on our island is American run. YIKES. When it was run by Hondurans, we had power outages up to 8 hours every day in the heat with no wind. Once the Americans took over, we have power all day, every day. Thus, Americans just do it better. Pray for me here. Zelaya also is going to rewrite the Honduran Constitution so he can be president forever. He's a Hugo Wannabee.

    Sounds kind of like Congress and Obama, eh? They aren't exactly re-writing America's Constitution, but they are issuing legislation that is trampling all over it. We can turn everything around in the elections. EVERY conservative or moderate who hates what is happening has to turn out to vote this next time around. You can be sure that Obama's people are already campaigning for the next go-around.

    The death of freedom in Venezuela caused by Hugo Chavez is a good history lesson to study. How can a democracy devolve into a dictatorship where Chavez is now "president for life"? Maybe Glen can run through the timeline on his show and draw comparisons to what is happening in America today.

    The treasury department can prints approximately 38 million notes a day with a face value of approximately $750 million. In a pinch, it would not take long to print a trillion dollars in a short period of time of large bills. Not that they should have done it. They are probably still printing it. Which is really not going to help anything.
