I rememer 9-11 like it was yesterday. I remember seeing the first plane hit the world trade center and thinking I am watching a real bad movie. I remember that our country changed in one day. We prayed for people that we didn't even know. We flew flags We were Americans coming together and helping each other. May we never forget. Thanks Glenn for this wonderful site to come together at and share our feelings with one another.

What an awful day this was. And how awful that so many people have traveled so far from what they felt that day. I remember dropping my son off at pre-school, hearing that a plane had hit the first tower, and quite frankly thinking that it was probably just a small plane — a big deal, but nothing like what I discovered once I got home. Sitting at home, in total shock, I watched as another plane just flew into the second tower. What in the world was going on. As the towers fell, and just not knowing what world I was living in. How in the world can people have forgotten how they felt that day. How simple our lives were then. The feelings I have now are worse than they was that day. While not knowing who would do such an awful thing was a distressful feeling, it is more frightening that we have forgotten that empty, angry feeling.

Thank you for sharing this audio, Glenn. It really shows what the spirit of this site is, and should be. Who cares whose fault this all is, we have to come together and fix it.

I was an Active Duty Marine Corporal at the time. I was stationed at Camp Pendleton by Oceanside California. I lived off base with my girlfriend in Vista. At 5:45 AM I get a call from my Sgt. and he is freaking out on the phone. He's telling me to get my tail and all my gear to the Motorpool "MF'ing Ricky Tick." I asked why and he said "Do you not have a TV on right now?" " We are being attacked!!" "A passenger plane just hit the World Trade Center." I replied with "I'm on my way!"I knew right then that we were going to war. When a Marine knows that he's going to war, it's like a child hearing the Ice Cream truck music coming down the street. We know we are about to get what makes us happy and satisfied. That want and need to put superior firepower in the enemy's life, is what we all craved.

    Read up please.

i remember like it was yesterday. it was a beautiful morning in connecticut when i took off on my HD to get to a work site on the coast on 9/11/2001.what was normally a continuous din of hammers, generators, compressors and the like, was now eerily quiet with the exception of a radio playin in the distance. when i asked what was up, a worker on the site said that a small plane had hit the one of the tower. it was after the second plane hit that my phone started ringing. My wife at the time asked me "what is going on?" "so and so said we are under attack".
we had to work that day regardless and the atmosphere was filled with apprehension anger, at this yet unknown enemy. man, i will never forget as long as i live. it is tatooed in my mind and on my arm as well.

i remember i was on the band practice field when we had an alarm/alert at the school and we all went running inside i was in 9th grade….it was such a clear and quiet morning…and how quick we all stood together no matter our differences…it wasnt that long ago and now look at us….all separate again and forgetting what we stand for .i'm glad to see so many people together on this site though, i'm glad that i'm not the only one who hasnt forgotten what happened literally the other day(looking from histories perspective) and remember what its like to have that American bond and patriotism.

  5. It's amazing how far we've gone, in such a short period of time. How long ago that seems yet like yesterday. God continue to Bless America!!!

The environment was one of the most motivating things I've ever been apart of. We were ready for justice at any cost. Our Colonel came and requested that we stand at ease and gather around him. He spoke of these cowardly attacks and asked us to prepare ourselves mentally for the days to come. We knew that at a moments notice we could be put in a war zone. Afterall, we are the Marines. That's what we do. America's 911 Force was ready. As we all sat there that day, we talked to the Marines from New York, PA, DC, and anyone of them who lost a family member on the ground and on a flight. We comforted those who had confirmed that they had lost loved ones in the attacks. We prayed. We prayed some more.
I will never forget that day as long as I live. It was a big sucker punch that caught us by surprise. I'm just glad that I will be able to tell my children and grandchildren that I was apart of the operations that led to the demise of the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Long live the American Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen. We got tons of support from America. God bless every one of you.

  7. DuckButter says:

As soon as I hit the base, things went nuts. We filed into the armory, got our weapons, and hit the motorpool for head counts. The entire base was on LOCK DOWN ! No one but Military personnel were allowed into the base. There were even people who could not leave the base for 24 hrs due to all the shock and confusion. As we sat in the motorpool and listened to what all was going on in New York, the second plane hit. The hits just kept on coming that day. The sounds of silence were reflected across the paved asphalt as we listened to that radio in awe. We could not believe this was actually happening. Automatically we pointed the fingers at Al Qaeda, and the Marines went nuts and were ready to do what we do best. There were battle cries and hoots and hollering going on everywhere.

THE MAJORITY OF THESE SENATORS HAVE BROKEN CONSTITUTIONAL LAWS AND FOR THAT WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO REMOVE THEM FROM THERE THRONES.

  10. kgreece says:

    The State of Security
In the wake of 9‐11 Americans watched as our civil liberties and the Constitution
were challenged. Though there is a need to be on offense the Constitution swings in
the balance. Our system of checks and balance may be stretched to the braking
    point soon if not already.
What will happen when the next attack on America’s soil occurs? I deliberately said
‘when’ because I think it is inevitable. The extreme ideologies that circle the globe‐
Islamo fascism, Neo Nazism, White Supremacy, Eco Fanatics would all love to, ‘make
a statement’ or issue their grievance against America and our lifestyle in some loud,
    violent, noticeable way.
According to Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s Chief of Staff, “You never want a
serious crisis to go to waste”. That kind of thinking so close to the seat of power in
Washington and existing at a time when America has very real enemies should
    alarm the American people.
The lamentation of the left against the Bush Administration has ceased with the
anointing of Barak Obama. Many of the policies still remain in tact. We’ve adapted
to the post 9‐11 policies. But if we are attacked again is it the presupposition of the
Bush critics that Government under and Obama administration can be trusted to
avoid excess and civil rights violations?
The libertarians and conservatives rail against Obama’s handling of the economic
meltdown and are distracted from thinking about the massive assault from
Washington that will come in the wake of a major attack on a US city. No matter
who is responsible for the attack the ‘opportunity’ to erase the Bill of Rights in the
name of Progressive dogma will be too tempting. Freedom of speech and
association, gun ownership, the right to privacy, and States rights will get
scrutinized. I’m willing to bet there is a draft proposal of such measures sitting on a
    desk somewhere in DC.
The Obama Administration has already dipped its toe in the water on some of these
issues. They will come to the forefront of the next, “Patriot Act”. The ‘left’ and the
‘right’ should spend less time looking across their philosophical divide and realize
that a powerful, monolithic central government is a threat to individual liberty. We
need to stop carrying the water of the parties and reaffirm the rights of the
individual. Only under that circumstance does your left or right opinion even begin
    to matter.

I was completing a construction project that day…the secretary of an adjoining business kept coming out and updating me and my crew…after the plane hit the Pentagon, we (myself and crew) decided to go home and watch the horror unfold on TV. Even here in the Midwest, far removed from New York, it was a crazy time. Lots of raw emotion and pulling together…truely we were that day transcending politics. I could not believe the rage I felt …it was because our country had actually been attacked by killing so many thousands of innocent people on our soil. Within days, I purchased the best flagpole for my yard I could find and OLD GLORY has flown ever since as a constant reminder for me, at least, of that terrible day…I will never forget!!

  12. Billerz says:

I just finished listening to Glenns' 9-11 broadcast and It brought me right back to that late summer day. I had just had shoulder surgery and was at home caring for my three month old daughter, bouncing her on my knee trying to get her to smile when the news broke. Mystified how a commercial jet could hit a skyscraper. Shortly after, live on tv, I saw the second jet hit the other tower. My world changed, no longer mystified, I understood we were under attack and at war. Watching the horrible collapse of both towers, the attack on the Pentagon and flight 93 I was forever changed with a heavy heart and a yearning to gather my loved ones. Feeling grateful mine were okay, while feeling tremendous saddness for all those who had lost a loved one, while praying for the first responders. Saying we'll never forget seems appropriate yet Inadequate. The difference between a thought and an emotion. I doubt there is a single 912er doing whatever they can is driven because of a thought, we are doing this because of what we felt on 9-12 and how we feel about America today and that is the path to success. God bless you all, God bless America… Let's Roll.

  13. Over the next year we allowed the media and parties to start dividing us until all we were doing was throwing accusations back and forth. I wrongly expected this liberal and others to listen to me while I just told them 'their side' was evil. Please don't misunderstand. I am not suggesting compromising any of our values or principals to pacify those who want to take this nation down a path we know is wrong. Situations like Glenn getting the AG on the ropes last night… those have to happen because men like him are the ones that are really trying to steer us off course.

  14. Thank you for this. It helped me to remember who I was then…an American…not a Conservative. A neighbor had moved in a days earlier and I had not introduced myself because of a fading Al Gore bumper sticker. On 9/11 his family and mine spent hours in front of my TV because his cable was not ready, not arguing that this was the fault of Presidents Bush or Clinton, but rather as Americans who were worried about the future of our country and of our children. Rather than finger pointing, we discussed what should happen next. His suggestions showed a liberal bias, yes, but I understood that bias did not mean he hated his country.

  15. Pilot310 says:

We had our chance to change politics as usual when Ron Paul ran for president, or did he really have even 1/2 a chance. Maybe not. But this economic crisis we are faced with now can only be blamed on ourselves for allowing the representitives that we have, to stay in office without really holding them accountable. We need to remember that they work for us (The People). If these senators do not start listening to the people, their days are numbered. I believe that we as a whole are fed up with the lies & corruption and the lobbyist who instigate most of it. Time to get down to business people.

I was working in an Elementary school on Long Island and had no idea what had happened. I left my office to do an errand and found a huge line a parents picking up there kids from school at around 10:30am I asked what was going on and was told that planes hit the towers. There had to be 200 parents picking up there kids, they were obviously scared. I will never forget the fear I saw in there faces.

  19. I am listening to it right now.

I wish there was a website and a TV Channel to show what happened on that day. The TV channel would just run the entire day over and over and over again (Fox and/or CNN, I don't care) but someone needs to have it. There should be a disclaimer on the channel to tell they person that it was on the September 11th 2001, this is not happening currently.

The website could have the different major cities radio stations and website content.

I have wanted to get the entire day on DVD with CNN or FoxNews Cable TV's actual coverage, so I could show my kids and my grand kids. I believe this would show the raw emotions on that day. I wish we could keep this day in our mind at all times.

There are websites like http://www.september11news.com/ that shows the timeline and pictures, but I want to be able to see the actual tv coverage and hear the raw emotion from the anchors and people.

  20. shuntersmith says:

I am listening to the play back now.

I know alot of people knew some of the victims who died on that day, I knew none of them.
My connection, besides being an American, was the World Trade Center towers. My senior year project in my high school architecture class was based on the design and construction of those towers.
When I saw the damage to the first tower there were two things in my mind, 1) it was going to collapse and 2) it was a terrorist attack. I tried frantically to call police and fire personnel I knew to get the message out that the towers and surrounding areas needed to be evacuated. I couldn't reach anyone, the phone lines were jammed.

I began on September 12th to design a Memorial to remember and reflect on the events of that day. It was sent to and read by thousands of people including President Bush.

    I will never forget September 11th, 2001!

    HooYah Glenn.

I remember that day as well… My son was brought into the world 2 months almost to the day.

Actually- he was born on the 12th.

It was easy for me to be a "912er"- I'd been one vastly longer than prior to 9/11.

Given my time working for Disney has come to an end- my story; though not necessarily unique to the other "Caste Members" there that day- mine's unique in that I had "awareness" as events transpired.

A story for another time- this is Glenn's house.

    RusS out.

  22. SandySalt says:

I remember that day very well because I was flying around on the National Airborne Operations Center and we were previledged to hear President Bush coolly keep his head amidst all the chaos and make truly difficult decisions that most Americans know nothing about. I have an undying respect for President Bush because of that day and the ones that followed. That isn't to say everything he did was perfect or right, but the he is a man tested under fire and came through with flying colors. I also proudly served in Iraq during the darkest hours when so many want to give up in defeat, but the President and a handful of true patriots stood firm and won that war. I do not have the same respect for President Obama because amidst this crisis he has done very little to protect the average American and used it to further his agenda. I find this unacceptable and the fact that so many others do as well is heart warming. Send this message to Washington, you work for us and you need to start doing a heck of a lot better job of it. Stop spending our grandkids money and start slashing federal spending. Let us decided what we do with our tax dollars to help each other.

  23. Gotta love Glen.
Strange thing is this thread is missing a few posters. i.e. chuckflynn, comeradeobama, etc. I wonder why.

  24. joe wagner says:

I remember this day more than any other in the history of my life
I was a junior at a Catholic High School, sitting in my first period class. Everyday at the end of the period, our principal would get on the intercom and offer a daily prayer. I can remember the tone in her voice when she told us what had happened, and that our country had been attacked. I remember my fellow classmates and I talking about it, in a state of disbelief and confusion. I came home after football practice, and saw my family gathered around the television, watching in horror as they saw the scenes from New York City. I sat down and watched with them, and it wasn't too long before I had to leave the room overcome with emotion. Continued…………

    • joe wagner says:

I cried off and on for a few days after that; for the lives of the people that were lost and their families, people who I never even knew. I remember the outcry across the country for action. I had two older brothers both serving in the military at the time, one navy the other marine. I knew where they would be going, but that did not bother me- I was proud of them! I was only 16 and I knew what needed to be done then, just as I know what needs to be done now. At the end of this year, I will be leaving to fight for this country and the freedoms that we have as my brothers did. I have never let that feeling leave my heart and I swore to myself that day that that I never would forget what happened. If we cannot unite NOW as Americans- not democrats and republicans, not blue state or red state, not black or white, not rich or poor, not believers or nonbelievers, but AMERICANS- I fear we will remain divided as a country until we are attacked again. Here, we know who we are, we know where we came from, we know what we stand for, we know what we would die to protect and defend!!! LET US NEVER FORGET

  25. One_Of_Many says:

I was at a Denny's eating breakfast before going to work that day. A friend of mine came into the restaurant and said, "A plane has crashed into the World Trade Center in New York." I remember that it was such a beautiful day. I didn't go to work but instead picked up my daughter and went to my parent’s house to watch the horror unfold before our eyes.
I will NEVER FORGET that day or those people that lost their life that day.
The words of United flight 93 passenger Todd Beamer will forever be etched into my memory, "Let's roll".
You sir are an American Hero.

  26. ValueAmerica says:

I know I will never forget 9.11.01. For me time stood still when I turned on the television and watched as the second plane hit the tower. I knew at that moment that I'd never look at things the same. It was tragic and heartbreaking, and at the same time, the heroism that came out was inspiring to say the least. America came together and the flags that flew from every building, house, car, truck and any other vehicle was a sight to see.

I still get goosebumps when I think of that day and think that if anyone wants us to forget what happened that horrible day should get their heads examined.

For everyone who thought that it could never happen to us … well it did … and it can and will happen again.

  27. I had mentioned this possibility of this happening during Obama's campaign to my better half, who di, dn't believe that this could happen. There are times like this, I hate being right. One of the reason I didn't reenlist in the Marines, after 11 years of service, is this man becoming president. Any Congressman who supports this bill should be listed on a website dedicated to voting them out of office either in 2010, and beyond. The key, my fellow Americans is not to forget, and act accordingly to your beliefs when the time has come. For a forshadowing of what is to come, please read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ann Rand. Make sure to have a great deal of duct tape handy as the ideas put forth in that book will make your head explode from the lack of common sense.

  30. IdahoAnnie says:

On September 11, I was getting ready for work. Just another ordinary day, when the DJ on the raido said that a plane had just hit a tower at the World Trade Center. I turned on the TV just in time to see the second plane slam into the second tower.
I remember how I felt that day as I sat down at the top of the stairs and watched. Saddenss washed over me. Saddness for the people in the buildings and for the people in the planes. But most of all, my tears were for the heartache and the wonder at how we could do these horrible things to each other. To take away more than 3000 lives. How did I feel that day? Heartbroken.
On 9-12 I was different. WE were all different. As I watched the stories unfold, I remember saying the Pledge at school with a new pride. We would be stronger, our America now had life breathed back into her. Flags went up, people were kinder, more understanding. We started to care for each other again. We started being Americans, not left or right, not Republicans or Democrats, we were all Americans and proud of it. I want THAT America, my America back.

I was talking with the wife just before I got on about just how far our government could go(wrong) and seeing this does little to help my feelings of mistrust, on top of demanding the CEO of general motors to step down, fired whatever you want to call it. Whats REALLY scary is he did!! I would have told them to pack sand! Why he did is what worries me!
This is after the State of Arizona confiscated money from my checking account for a tax mistake from 3 yrs ago, no letter, no call, NO DUE PROCESS!! THEY ARE SHREDDING THE CONSTITUTION!!

    What say all of you???

I'm trying to feel 9/12 but it feels like 9/11 sometimes…

    • gocleve99 says:

Actually, on 9/11 I felt better with the comfort that our elected officials would take measures to protect us, and defend our values. Its sad to see them use it as an excuse to chip away at our freedoms. I hate to admit it, since I defended alot of these very things. It seems as though the process is accellerating at an alarming rate. We have to come together and wake up the masses. If we can accomplish that, we have a very good chance of peacefully taking our country back. The thought of an armed civil war is extremely frightening to me, and lets face it, doesn't stand a chance against the military. They have much better weapons, and they own all means of communication. How does even a well armed and capable militia fight an enemy that can monitor, react, and communicate in real-time. Think about it. The only end it leads to is a bloodbath. Having said that, I personally will do anything necessary to protect my family until I draw my final breath. I am praying for all of you, my American brothers and sisters. God help us all.

      • I agree with you. The last thing we would want is an armed conflict. Not only would it be horrible, but it would be an invitation to an country that might want to attack us, That being said, I think your fear of a military that would force anything on us is unwarranted. These are our sons and daughters and relatives. Many of them feel the same way we do. I don't think they will in mass do this to us! I may be wrong, but don't think I am.

I pray to God our movement can set our country back on track, and stop the essence of our great nation from being stolen from our nation's children while the burden of our ever ballooning debt is loaded on their backs. 45. Listening to this brought back a cold spine tingling chill. Though I have never forgotten that day I do feel that with time we lose our edge that is given to us after an event like 9/11. This reminded me that people did die, that we were attacked, and that people rejoiced in our hardship. What this also reminded me of was that America may seem torn by two different ideologies, but in the end we are all Americans and we will stand as one. That's something that no other country in the world can say. Everyone in America was a victim that day. I will never forget how I felt that day. I will never forget the feeling I felt the first time I went to ground zero. I will never forget those who have given their lives to protect us. I will never forget.

I watched on September 11, 2001 as a you became my president in every sense of the word. I watched you speak, with tears in your eyes and a steel determination, to the American public in reassurance that you would stop at nothing to protect your country from further terrorist attacks. I have never forgotten that promise, nor the fact that you have kept it , one day since. It has been my guide post in all things political since then. National security is the most important consideration for me, for without it, everything else is meaningless. You have excelled in this area.

    • Smarkin says:

Although I may not have agreed with every decision you made, I respected all of them and knew you made them with the best of intentions with the good of the American people at the heart of each one. You have gone above and beyond the call of duty many times and made the difficult and painful decisions demanded of the office.

So I want to thank you for keeping me and my family; my community and country, safe from the very real threat of harm on our own soil. I believe you have had a very successful presidency and that history will reflect that. You can be very proud, and at peace, with the job you have done. You have my unwavering respect, gratitude and thankfulness for a job very well done.

This is from my letter to President Bush as he left office. 9-11 changed my life and my beliefs to the very core. Our lives have never been the same nor will they ever be again. Obama scares me with his need to control everything about our country. Some say Bush was wrong for what he did. Not me. See below:

    • jwjcc1 says:

I have to admit……This is the first time in my adult life that ive actually been ASHAMED of my President.

      • Smarkin says:

IntenseDebate Notification <DIV>I am more afraid than ashamed. I am afraid that my country won't remain safe. I am afraid that our grandchildren will not grow up with the same rights that I have. All our young people who have fought for our rights deserve better than they are getting. They need a leader that is strong and one that believes in them and their mission. If we don't stand together and say “enough”, this current administration will ruin what we have left that we hold precious. </DIV> <DIV style=”FONT: 10pt arial”>

It is amazing how many Americans have forgotten what that day felt like. More amazing is how many of our "leaders" who were all singing God Bless America on the steps of the Capitol on 9/11/ 01, Many of them the same people trying to kick God out of America! Where did our resolve go? I have added this to my Facebook page and I encourage anyone who uses Facebook to post it on their profile also. We need to get the word out about The 912 Project. It is time for us, We the people to make those in charge accountable for their actions or lack of action.

Glenn, Your transcript of 9/11 should be a fixture on this webpage. Not for a week or a month, but permanent………….We live in a insane Country thanks to Soros and company, and the airheads they have influenced. May they all eat **** and die. When they come for me they will be well advised to have their body armour, because they will get all of my fire power.

    • BucksGirl says:

I agree. Glenn, please keep this link on the website. It is very important that we all remember what we felt that day & the days that followed. We all felt like one united force that day & we cared about one another. God Bless America!

Heart wrenching. I will never forget……..

    • 912Police says:

People don't forget, they choose to ignore & nor remember. Our national security was weakened from ignoring and not remembering "our past".

    • lnbarnes says:

That day was one of those days in ones life that you never forget where you were. I had just packed up my camp along a British Columbia lake and was heading out onto the highway when I was stopped by a highway flagman and told about the attack. I remember where I was when J.F.K. was assassinated. These are times that you remember that you go to your grave remembering. May God have mercy on their souls, WE WILL REMEMBER.

unite or die!! http://www.theidolworld.com/blog/blog/ check out the "Give act" info.

    • NorineH says:

I hope everyone knows that despite taking the mandatory service out of the GIVE act, that HR1444 was introduced by Rep McDermott (D)of WA which includes the language again. We can't take our eyes off of the scum for a minute!

  56. ArmyMama says:

Oh Glenn, I remember….the feeling we were under attack. How did we get so far away from that unity we felt and the pride in our nation?
I SO appreciate the daily reminders on the 912 project.

  57. lwillis59 says:

Like Glann said he wants to hear from you!!!

  58. lwillis59 says:

8 comments? really? I hope that is because everyone is speechless.. I couldnt listen to it without being touched to my core!

  59. OH MY GOD!!! THEY WANT HIM TO BE PRESIDENT FOR LIFE?

    That's not a democracy, it's a monarchy. Am I wrong?

    • Romanofzki says:

yep. Amen to Glenn Beck for posting this. I think that America has forgot how strong we the people were on 9/12. We must rember how we felt and how we acted. Never Forget.

    • Sorry you are wrong. We are in a democracy process now. We are not a democracy by design. We are a Republic. Democracy leads to oligarchy. A Monarch has never really been present in any government. Monarchy is one person only in charge. Oligarchy is a group of people. Which is what most dictatorships and communist countries are really. Even though they may have one "head" person, there are many unknown leaders. A Democracy is when you are ruled by popularity of the masses. Meaning you pole the people and the one who is more abundant, wins. Pretty much how our voting system is set up. But, we are a Rupublic, or at least we were. Now we have to save it.

    • gocleve99 says:

No, not really a Monarchy, Monarchies have royal families…. You don't choose royal families, they claim power by bloodline alone. This is ther beginning of a dictatorship, plain and simple. Whenever we are ready to begin taking our country back, I stand with you. We can save our liberty IF we dedicate ourselves to each other as AMERICANS. I think the time is now. Talk to your freinds, talk to your neighbors. We MUST stand NOW. If we wait much longer, it may be too late.

      • jgb3erb3 says:

THERE IS AN INTERESTING STORY BEHIND THE ENGLISH MONARCHY, IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH BLOODLINES. THEY CLAIMED IT WITH A RED RIBBON AT THE BIRTH OF TWINS.
I DON'T SEE A WHOLE LOT OF DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY THEY ARE TAKING US OVER.

  60. TheCook says:

ok, now this just borders on sadism…

  61. lee1944 says:

Never forget should be our rallying cry for always.

  62. Janice_K says:

OMG! Obama forever? Well, if we lose…we can take some comfort in the sure and certain knowledge that the Nation won't be here after too many more years of Obama. I wonder what his plans are to use as money once everyone is making less than $50k and we are a 3rd world country.

  63. CyberVirus says:

Hard to say anything more relevant…..

    Never Forget.

  64. Parker374 says:

Holy Crap your right this is TERRIFYING!!!! We need to send this to everyone and their brother this guy thinks he is Hugo Chaves.

This a link to the full text of the bill proposed by Congressman José E. Serrano of New York:

    http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-hj5/text

    • Jeanyus says:

Is this real? WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY?!

    • As scary as this is, it is very difficult to actually pass an amendment to the constitution. Even with the Dems holding the majority in both houses, they would still need 3/4 of the states to approve an amendment, and each of those states would have to approve by a 2/3 majority. You can read more here:

      http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_can_the_US_Constitu...

The page does a good job of showing how the constitution is amended and how it has been changed by many in our culture seeing it as a living document… actually, THAT is what you should be terrified of, not this bill. Obama didn't win enough states and I can promise you there are a lot of people out there who voted for him, but wouldn't be ready to go this far. We need to focus on things that may actually become law, like the GIVE Act.

      • Nicoli715 says:

Thank you for explaining this more. I was freaking out for a second there! The page was not detailed enought at all. I was just thinking the same thing that an amendment would have to be raitfied by the states. We will never let such a thing happen. What is the Give Act? I need to look this up.

    • Trace92lx says:

This clown introduces this bill every couple of years. It never gets out of committee. It is something to watch, just in case…. but it's likely to die just like it always does.

    • joe wagner says:

There is absolutely no way in HELL that would pass. Despite the claim that Obama won by an "overwhelming consensus", you would be subjecting yourself to political suidide for supporting that!! Not saying that some of the mindless followers of "The One" wouldn't support it, but that would cause an uprising-plain and simple!

      • AgencyNurse says:

Yea, but there are obviously enough supporters of the big O to get him elected along with a liberal congress. Underestimating your enemy is a sure fire way to give him the upper hand.

    • AgencyNurse says:

I believe I could crap myself right here and now.

  65. Ashrak says:

    Never Forget.

  66. everytime I get online I find someting else that has been sneaked in and it does seem that we are under attack- it is as thought there has been a coup and it happened so fast that our heads are spinning. I think that has been part of the thing- hit itall at once and we do not have time to catch it and know what to do–but we must respond and we must unite and have our voices heard.

  67. Remember Hitler took over Mercades before WWII to build up his military so Borackfires CEO
