Here’s the sick part of this, the protest was in support of the COP KILLER.

Amazing how the Black youth kill each other at the higest rate but you hear nothing about it. If the cops shoot a person and they happen to be black its "GENOCIDE"…. disgusting …. Zero acceptance of responsiblity. why does the black community consist of aprox 12% of the community and 90% of the violent crime as per Fed DOJ stats. 2007, 2008. etc…

what about the genocide of western civilization.? where is the outrage?
what about the politicians who will exploit this and make it a gun control issue…using thier deaths to further thier agenda.

As usual the sensational protests get coverage while the peaceful, common sense assemblies get nothing. These people are using a crisis to get their message out. Now, while I understand their argument, their display is clearly a case of poor taste and judgment. By doing this they minimized their argument. This is what happens when you plan a protest off the cuff without thinking.

I think this is why this site is moving at just the right speed. If we move too fast and act off the cuff, we risk looking like these people.

Not all the people in California are like this. I know there are still a few good people out there, but as with anything, the actions of a few make the whole bunch look like a bunch of loons. There are some good Californians still out there.

We left California 2 years ago, our 2 sons still live there, but they are considering moving. We too, signed petitions, called Senators, etc. it do no good. We voted in all the elections, but to no avail. We moved to a small town in a new state, the people are kind, help one another , but, we still feel sad about the way Ca. has changed. It used to be a Golden State, it is now tarnished,

Actually – I don't need to prove to you (Mr. "red-blooded American") that I care. I doubt your state is all flowers and rainbows – and I could probably stereotype you just as well.

31 tea parties on April 15th. 7 recall campaigns going on right now. Those of us who care have been fighting the degradation of this state for decades. Those who don't, enjoy complacency or just leave. Seriously, if you are a shining example of what a 9-12'er is all about, let me out now. But I doubt you are – cause I've met real 9-12'ers at California "We Surround Them" groups, recall efforts, and protests.

Those of you outside of California who support our efforts (without insult or stereotypes) to bring this state back to its Reagan years – thank you. You are the true 9-12'ers who reflect the principles and values set here.

I have family in CA and I know there are many many people in that great state that do care. Do let a few select take their anger out on you because we need more of you to find you voices!
      You are awesome!

  6. Boxer was born and raised in New York. Pelosi was born and raised in Maryland. Just for the record. Oh, and most of the kooks here, ain't from around here, they migrated here during the insane hippie movement of the 60's and ruined this place but good. But, we're trying to fight to good fight here. Eventually, we'll get the Golden State back on track. There are sane, conservative, gun-toting, evil-conservative industry loving, non-union peoples here with calloused hands working hard. Lend us your support, not your disdain. This can be a great place again, if WE SURROUND THEM.

  7. lance_tx says:

What I do not understand is WHY HAVE CALIFORNIA CITIZENS LET THEIR STATE BECOME THE BIGGEST JOKE IN THE U.S. WHY DO THEY CONTINUE TO LET THE CRAZIEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD RUN THEIR STATE AND LET THESE LIBERAL LOONS STAY? YOU HAVE TO ADMIT THAT MANY IN THAT STATE ARE ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!

    • Hey I Live here and ask myself the same question everyday.
If I could leave I would, But My whole family Grandparents, Parents, In-laws, Brothers, Nieces and nephews, All Live here. Family is important. I keep hoping eventually The state will come back to its previous shiney glory As the Golden State.

    • coastaltam says:

Here's an answer for you from someone who lives in California: We vote for people as a result of their campaign – just like every state in the union. While we could stereotype Ohio as being completely corrupt, Illinois as being run by Chicago mob members, and Pennsylvania as being run by violent union members, I'm sure the populations of those states would agree that they didn't vote for that. Houston is a sanctuary city – I doubt the people of Houston voted for that. You still can't own a gun in New York City. Usually candidates give a good speech and convince the population that they will actually represent the population – then they get into office and turn 180 degrees. Look at Schwarzenegger. The voters ousted Democrat Gray Davis and wanted someone who would represent them. Gov. Arnold said he was a Republican and that he would restore the state to its Reagan era. A LOT of us believed him. He got elected, turned socialist, and now we're trying to recall HIM.

If you've never been here, then you don't know that this is a volatile state. We protest, we recall, we stage mid-term elections, we have special elections. We have a lot of RINOs in this state and we just want a representative government. Anyone outside of California does not understand Californians, judging by a lot of the comments here. The Californians who really love this state and want to restore it stay to fight – they find like-minded people who will fight with them. For God's sake, we are currently trying to recall the governor and several state senators and assembly members. ( Plug: http://totalrecall2009.com ). We are having 31 tea parties in this state on April 15th.

I am becoming increasingly disappointed in the 912 Project. I'm sure Glenn didn't mean this forum to be a place where people rip each other apart. I've seen a lot of animosity on this site instead of unity. And it's disappointing, because if this is supposed to be the UNITING site, I'd hate to see what happens if we actually have to approach an enemy. We have a long way to go to achieve that 9-12 mindset. Just sayin'.

  8. mgarland510 says:

How does anyone in their right mind justify supporting this murderer. I don't care what race he is he killed 4 people that day. He got what he deserved, however, I would have liked to have seen him stand trial and be put to death after spending a while in an 8×10 cell. There is absolutely no justification for supporting this man. I will pray for the four fallen officers and their families. May you find peace.

    • dvet says:

It is blacks that kill their own. Look at the statistics. The statistics that no one can talk about on the news and in public in fear of being labeled as a racist. Responsibility is no where to be found in many of these black communities across the United States. I wonder what Dr. King would do or say in response to the march supporting the murderer in Oakland, CA? I am curious what kind of spin would these black protesters in Oakland have when responding to the fact this murderer is DNA linked to raping a 12 year old girl – and possibly others.

  9. LesStrawn says:

"Bystanders had mixed reactions. Nicole Brown said that she can't condone murder but that police don't respect residents of the area. Daria Belt said she had no sympathy for the protesters but sympathized for Mixon's family."

How much respect are these people showing for the police officers?

As is pointed out though, the difference between the big cities and outlying areas is exactly why the framers of the consitution instituted the electoral college. Otherwise the cities of California and the New York area would have the votes to determine the presidential winners–oops apparently they already do.

  10. TXNSarge says:

I agree. They should have a blue flue, especially in the neighborhood where the protesters congregate. Then sit back, crack open a brew and watch the mayhem. Those people are low lifes.

  11. (on a half hearted note)**** I think that instead of all of these bailouts and tax hikes to fix our debt solution we should just sell California to China. The majority of the residents there don't hold american values anyway.

  12. JeanieLou says:

It's just more signs of the times. Glorify the evil doers! My husband is a police officer and the young people today have a total disregard for authority. He often gets spit on and cussed at (mostly by high school and college aged students). If what is happening in the world now scares you, just wait until these kids are running the show. God save us all!

God bless these brave men and their families!

  13. Nomarxism says:

The liberal morons in California need to be voted out of office period. The conservatives there need to unite and make sure this happens. California is fast becoming a one party state (socialist party). This should be of grave concern to all normal people who live there.

My husband & I live in CA and vote in EVERY election. Unfortunately, we are almost always on the losing side of officials and issues because we're conservative and not only do we live in this liberal state but we're in a liberal city. Not only do we vote but we also contact legislators to make our desires known. It's very frustrating and we're scared for our state and our nation. We do what we can but we are obviously outnumbered.

  17. LoKriSam says:

I am a US Veteran and Worked over 16 years in Law Enforcement. My 5 1/2 year old asked if people world celebrate if I was killed like those officers. In tears due to her honesty and innocense, I said "Those who celebrate the death of officers killed in the line of duty while attempting to uphold the laws of our land are not Godly people. Most of them are criminals and do not care about anything including themselves." " None of them are true Americans" My young daughter said daddy we need to pray for them. I thought she meant for the police officers and their families. When I asked who did she want to pray for she said" the people that celebrated the officers killings, they are really hurting."

WOW! My 5 1/2 year old has more true American values than all of those who celebrated the deaths of the officers.
It starts in the home. Values that is! They can't be taught with an empty soul.

  18. dennishoran says:

I don't care that the parole violationg idiot who challenged armed police officers in Oakland is dead. I'm just sad four officers had to die to finally end that idiots sick perverted life. I feel bad for his mother, but she did raise this idiot. Sometimes I think twice about abortion. Just think if she'd gotten rid of that. But then I say, why wasn't he left in prison where he obviously belonged.
I live in Delaware, I've been voting for the more conservative candidate since I moved here in 1990. Still was unable to dislodge Joe Biden (D). Sorry about that. Now he's everybody's VP. In the next Senatorial election for former Sen. Biden's seat, now occupied by his closest former aide, Kaufmann, Biden's son, Beau will be the candidate. I'll still be voting for the more conservative candidate. It won't be Biden.
Still trying to defeat Sen. Tom Carper (D). In his letters to me he always tells me he's fighting hard for the citizens of Delaware and the US. Just not on the right side.

    • LoKriSam says:

He should have never been out on Parole. He should have died many years ago but not. Our system let him kill as if he had a license to do so. Nancy should be so proud. Reid is probably high fiving her.

  19. neednuparty says:

The problem with most is that they are too busy with making a living paying high mortgages to take time to get involved in what is happening in our country…none want to really look…and some say they just can't deal with that and having everyday life work and issues with kids on top of it. I think alot would leave if the weather were not so nice and that is what keeps us here…anyway very frustrating but there are some decent people still here and working for the 912 project…not as many as I would like…but some is better than none.

  20. RADBSC says:

Calling the guy a hero is sick, plain and simple. Although looking at how Ryan Moats was treated after running a light to get his wife to her dieing mother, it's starts to get easy to understand the frustration the black community feels. I NEVER think that it is acceptable to shoot police officers but I also don't know how many friends and family that I could have shot by the police for reaching for their wallet before I too was on the streets screaming GOOD! I'm not saying that I agree with what they are doing, I really want to make that clear but I've never had a son or brother or life long neighbors son killed by the police for what turns out to be nothing. I just think that if the tables were turned we would all be screaming "Police state!" at the top of our lungs. It's a bad situation all the way around.

    • LoKriSam says:

I would never take up for a police officer who I believed to be in the wrong. These officers were killed by a thug. He did not leave church and kill these officers he had just left prison and was also wanted. He deserved to die not anyone else.

      • RADBSC says:

Did you even read what I wrote? I never defended him. All I tried to do was open your mind to what the crazy animal protesters must feel like. This is their America too and they've watched their youth die time and time again at the hands of the police. I mean it must be easy to bury your son so long at it was at the hands of a civil servant. "Sorry your sons dead but we thought he had gun." "Sorry your nephew is dead but we thought he had a gun." Sorry your grandson is dead but we thought he had a gun." Take up for the innocent officers, that's great, but these people aren't acting crazy because they're bored. They're acting crazy because they are at the brink. I mean come on, can we can really complain while our family members make it home each and ever day (not shot by the police for not having a gun.) They are begging for our help. Will you deny them that and expect me to care about your tax and economy worries? If so you're selfish.

    • LoKriSam says:

I certainly read what you said. Justifying shooting police just does not sit well with me. I can see that you are making excuses for the criminal and are trying to get me to see your way of thinking. There is not excuse for celebrating shooting police. By the way my mind is open. I was out there for over 16 years as a Law Enforcement officer. How many do you have. I have had a best killed in the line of duty as well as been shot at myself. What state of mind are you in when you celebrate killing our officers. I guess the same state of mind when OJ was freed in a bogus court. Bad officer shout be punished but not by so call citizens of the US.

    • coastaltam says:

It is a bad situation all the way around – I agree. Oakland has had this problem for a few generations now – it didn't start yesterday. Anyone who has lived in a major city understands the "inner city" and the mindset that encompasses possibly the worst living conditions in the country. This mindset is prime territory for race baiters to come in, take advantage of the people (who are usually unemployed and angry), and direct them to do something they may not normally do. Then, the police end up in a situation where they have to protect people who don't trust or like them. It's a continuous cycle that happens in every big city in the USA.

It's going to have to take the community members to get themselves out of this mess. In Oakand, the organizer of this protest was from Africa – he had no business being there. I wish that prominent people like Chris Gardner would go back to their communities and show a positive example to people who really don't believe there is any way out. It's not a matter of "just move", it's a psychology that needs to be defeated from within.

  21. neednuparty says:

Yeah, isn't she just great…did you see her today I think she is missing some brain cells. Those kids should not be with her and should be taken away…and she is using the media for money, selling their pictures and whatever….just a shame that child services does not do something and then somehow keep her from having any more…but that will never happen.

  22. neednuparty says:

Me too, except I was born here. Live in Southern California Orange County area…I did not vote for Feinstein or any liberal…and write letters to them all the time…but we are outnumbered. There are still sane people here…just not too many left.

  23. Let's see, what's good that's come out of Oakland recently…………….Black Panthers? Hells Angels? Now the present populace who I would rate as third-world American citizens show us actions that they feel are justified by their conditions that are the result of "others" who oppress them. Where is Al Sharpton when you need him to right these injustices?

  24. arizonajen says:

Is there video of the protest? I want to post in on FB and Twitter.

  25. adbabecks4 says:

It is an outrage and very disturbing. The Oakland PD should go on strike and leave the vermine to themselves.

  26. cheeta0521 says:

I agree with you 100% renuhope. But you know, as soon as one of those ignorant assholes needs the
protection of law enforcement and doesn't get it (like it would really happen) they would be shouting racism
    and hold another rally.

  27. Const_Cowboy says:

You have to place at least some of the blame on the judicial system that set Mixon free.

  28. SDaytona says:

I honestly feel that this disgusting protest shows why there will never ever be an end to racial tensions….they are getting worse. Central Fla. has turned into a violent third world country. As the animals feel more empowered, things will deteriorate. I keep my Glock under my pillow at night.

    • Fastjack says:

It is been pretty bad off up here in Jacksonville to… I have taken to stockpiling ammo and supplies for any possible threat that hopefully will not occur. (Though with things that are happening right now it is looking worse by the day.)

    • LoKriSam says:

Do you understand that some people do not want racial tension to end. If it did their career would be ended. Many times they are part of the problems. Another Bus load of ACORN people need something to thrive own.

  29. renuhope says:

I have two nephews that are police officers. They put their lives on the line every time they start their shifts. The killings of these officers in Oakland sickens me and the protests honoring their killer outrages me. The addresses and phone numbers of these protesters should be noted, and if any of them ever need the assistance of law enforcement, they should be "black listed", and ignored.

    • LoKriSam says:

The Probably work for ACORN—–The protesters that is.

    • Fastjack says:

I agree! These protesters have no respect for law enforcement officials whatsosever… Let them be black listed when they have a need for those that they protest and hate the most. God bless your nephews…. They have a tough job.

  30. stormdog says:

Cobra when a cop gets shot trying to keep the wolf from the door and in the process has to shoot the wolf and the wolf engenders more sympathy the the slain cop it is time for the cops to let the wolf loose so that the citizens can make an informed decision about the wolf. There is no other way to solve the problem. The harder cops try the harder the job gets. When you help to prop up a broken system you become part of the problem not part of the solution.

  31. Rozencrutz says:

I just about tore my hair out upon seeing this, it sickens me that people treating a murderer as a hero for killing 3 police officers who are the real heroes in this case because they were just doing their job, a lot of police die doing their job, but most of the time the killer is not treated like he is a hero.

  32. neednuparty says:

IT is because it is those very people that are participating and condoning it. As long as the community leaders, business owners and role models condone this behavior …they will always be making excuses for the quality of life they have. I am not wanting to divide here and I am not prejudice, I too would stand next to anyone of any color for the fight we are in to save our country…but you see that is the difference between you, me and them…they would not stand next to you…they would however with little cause begin tearing down and destroying their communites…and our leader President Obama should at the very least be condemning this long with the other whiners Jesse Jackson, Reverend Al Sharpton, and last but not least the infamous Jeremiah Wright…oh wait is not God Bless America…its God Damn America and if I also recall he had a whole lot of members clapping and agreeing with that sermon. So tell me who of those leaders is going to stand up and say something to begin the accountablity of their actions? I wait to see.

  33. rcalogeroglo says:

You noticed that the fruit cakes in California protesting the death of police officers, are those who have never worn the bagde or probably not defended the constitution of the United States! This is beyond belief, do the job, and lets see how much you protest. Sometimes it is necessary to take garbage out to the crib for collection! This is the real world not make believe!!!

  34. kiesjo says:

Yeah I agree with the comment we should sell California to China .Especially Hollywood. I think they are all crazy out there!!!!!!!!!!!!! And let's see where is Pelosi from?

  35. slordax says:

This only the beginning … Atleast I can tell my kids I lived in the real America when I was their ages.

  36. ProudTexan says:

What a bunch of idiots!!! Why am I not suprised?

  37. This is just terrible. These certain communities are being preyed upon and used in ways that make slavery look like the better thing – not that it was – but their minds are being ensnared into a slavery of ignorance. They are remote-controlled zombies for unions which are the strong-arm for the liberal fascists. I see the seeds of a revolution sprouting – forget being sowed, we're way past that – between the law-abiding and the law-less; the tax-paying and the tax-teat-dependents. I think we need to infiltrate their blogs, websites and college campuses and inundate them with words of freedom. Not to start fights, but say something like, "oh, I see, you feel your rights are being violated… you know Thomas Jefferson said this, "…." (or whoever about whatever) but plant seeds of TRUE freedom. It's one thing for us to build up our "defense", but we need to go after the hearts and minds of the "living dead" population in "offense". We need to help free our countrymen . I'm not sure that they even know how to see things differently. We are united and getting stronger every day, now it's time to spread the news.

  38. Dixie2945 says:

I'm afraid you're right, Gregory. Pelosi calls us UN-American and Hillary says it's our fault that Mexico has so many murders, kidnappings, etc. Sheeeeeeeesh!!! I've been at work and at home! Maybe if more folks were working and staying home, there wouldn't be so much violence, eh??
    GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

  39. dynachick73 says:

Somebody help me understand where logic has gone in this country. An NFL player runs a red light on the way to the hospital to see a dying relative in Dallas…yes, the place some reality show is made about their SWAT because of the violent crimes that go on there. He is pulled over for breaking the LAW, and people are calling for the cop to be fired, because he arrive at the hospital just after his relative's passing (I am sympathetic, but these are different times we are living in). Yet, a guy can shoot four cops in CA and people protest. Why do liberals want BIG government and no reasonable rule of law?????? Its sort of like the "free Tookie" protests that went on a few years ago in CA. He was a terrible violent criminal that was proliferating gang violence in the United States. And for the finale, we want to close GTMO and have no reasonable solution as to what to do with these individuals. I just don't understand.

  40. Such generalizations used in here by some is mass mob mentality. Be vigilant but be wise with a cool head. There are honest hard working police officers out there and there are bad ones. There are good people on Walls Street and there are crooks. I am not going to justify the whole by the sum of rotten parts unless I see the fact. Once you react to events without facts, emotion with anger can separate us from common sense. Some of those protestors were probably paid zombies going through a motion like a puppet to help them with their next fix.

  41. cowlord9985 says:

wow. That guy and this so called uhuru movement is pretty messed up. They actually SUPPORT this murderer? what happened to the good old days when bad guys who do crime would go to jail? If a guy kills a few cops and rapes several people, shouldn't he be put to death or at least tossed in jail?

  42. HazMatguy says:

To be against law enforcement is to be against law and order… to be against law and order is to be a proponent of Anarachy… Only in American can Anarchists, illegals and "Cop" killers roam free when patriots and the "Don't tread on me" flag of the American Revolution are considered and linked with domestic terrorism.

What they're doing sounds like jihadist martyrdom to me… I would expect some radical Islamic terrorists to be parading around in the streets, praising the killing like that… they sound more like Domestic Terrorists than Ron Paul to me!

I need more duct tape for my head when it explodes…

  43. JMacIV says:

True. The Unions could of had something to do with this, but it smells more like ACORN. Maybe not though, there are enough nuts in California to stage a protest like this without help.

  44. Morgue says:

Most likely; I can't believe that they get taxpayer dollars. How is it that if a church talks about abortion or gay marriage, they have their tax-exempt status threatened, but we send groups like ACORN millions in taxpayer dollars?

    • JMacIV says:

You got me my friend. My best guess would be since most members of ACORN are minorities, any sane (conservative) congressman who tries to remove their funding gets called a racist. The sad thing is, groups like ACORN hurt minorities more than anything else, except maybe governmnet.

  46. Morgue says:

Most of the actual land of California isn't completely insane. It's mostly just in the cities (check a demographic of California, the cities are the bluest of blue, while the rest of the state actually vote Republican (not that that's much better)).
Once California collapses like Michigan, they might (as long as we don't bail them out) learn a lesson. Look at all the countries that broke off of the USSR and became Capitalist; sometimes it's those who walked through the valley that appreciate the mountains most.

    • Actually Morgue there are many places in California that are not citified. I happen to live in one of those places. And we have been trying to leave the state for more than 60 years. It is the cities that won't let us because we hold much of the pressious water they need. If you want search out my nick….it is a true place.

  47. JMacIV says:

I wonder if ACORN had anything to do with this protest.

  48. MerNJ says:

So the fact that they have been brainwashed into believing that cops are the enemy makes it OK to shoot and kill 4 cops? He had no right to shoot them. End of discussion. If it was Osama bin Laden that pulled him over he would have had no right to shoot him. All the excuses in the world (the cops are bad, his ancestors were slaves, his father beat him, he's mentally ill, the sky is green, whatever) do NOT give him the right to shoot anybody on the streets of Oakland unless they have put a gun to his head (self-defense).

    • Skeeter J. says:

I think damnyankee was just pointing out that these protestors are part of this group in society who believes the cops are wrong 100% of the time, and all cops are evil. I don't think its an excuse of any kind for this fool's actions. No matter how wrong Mixon was in shooting the 4 brave officers, some people will still think the cops are worse than the scum bag perp. Its very sad, but true.

Personally, i don't see how anyone could support mixon. many people have had a hard life, but not everyone is a career criminal who shoots 4 cops. we are responsible for our own actions, nobody put the gun in his hand and made him pull the trigger.

  49. Gregory says:

Ditto! You see that kind of "paid mob" in places around the globe. The middle east is a fine example of such.
Here's 20 bucks, now go jump up and down in front of the camera.

  50. Miami_Bob says:

Why wasn’t the good Rev. Al Sharpen and his sidekick Jessie Jackson stopping the P.O.S. cop killer worshipers???? By their absents or no comment, one would have to think that righteous holy twosomes think that the killers action was justified…

  51. Cracker6 says:

I am black (not proud though) and I totally agree with you! Most of them still thinks that the white man still owes them from their oppression the white man owes them Shut the heck up you was never oppressed! They just need to be educated on history not only culture history, government history too! If they were educated or knew a little bit about about Stalin or Hitler they would know that BO is doing the same thing!

For people that is reading this don't say African American! black is fine Please for me! I am not African. I AM A BLACK AMERICAN

BRAVO to you Cracker6! It's people like you that make me proud to be an American! We are all Americans if we were born here and live here! The actions of these people is atrocious! I don't care what color they are! What this man did to innocent people makes me SICK! To think there are morons out there who would uphold this behavior is sad, very very sad! What in the world is our Country turning into to? It's happening at such a hyper speed I can no longer even keep up! I faithfully read the posts/blogs on this site as well as the ones that are referenced. By the time I have done that, my head is spinning and I just feel things have gone so far that we can never bring it back…….I try to do what I can to promote the 9/12. It seems like people had rather sit on their ass and do nothing but watch as our beautiful Country turns into a place we no longer recognize! Again, I thank you Cracker6 for giving me a glimmer of hope.
God Bless Us Each and Every One!

While I appreciate many points made here – let us remember this about a community, not fair – some members of the community, that are defending a cop killer. I am, and have been for double digit years, a police officer and have lost a freind in the line of duty. I just lost four more brothers in Oakland. Please keep their families and fellow brothers and sisters in arms in your prayers. Law enforcement frequently takes hits, some deserved, but it is a noble profession with noble, honorable men and women whom choose this profession to defend and protect what is right and just. The restrictions and justifications police officers must artictulate for EVERY action is getting absurd. This same "protesters" are the ones recording on their cell phones and being a part of the problem. We need to find the solution for our morally corrupt communities (and nation). Start by thanking a police officer or emergency service professional and keep praying!

  53. HollyInTN says:

I just talked to a family member that lives in Oakland and he said they did blood work on the killer and it turns out he was responsible for the rape of a 12 year old girl!

UNBELIEVABLE!!! Rapist, child molesters, and murders should all be shot on the spot! Give them a fair trial first of course if found guilty well….start praying and hope God hears you!

I work with some black people in an enviroment where we are all out of necessity well educated. When the slavery thing came up in conversation one day I pointed out that my mother's family was forced to come to this country as slaves (indentured servants) and alot of my dad's family died on the Trail of Tears. The whining ceased and has been under control ever since. The propaganda of the ultra-liberals has covinced these people that they are victims. It's a severe case of brainwashing when you can justify a dangerous criminal's acts as righteous. They need to know they are no more special than anyone else.

  55. Bronda says:

And please everyone let's not forget about the women he also RAPED before going on this KILLING SPREE. What are these people THINKING!!!!!!!

  56. To Wes Lexington,
You can not compare these people to folks in third world countries. I did not see anyone without shoes or who looked like they had missed a meal in the last 10 years or so in that crowd. What I saw instead was a bunch of losers who wanted to get on tv. My thoughts and prayers are for the families of the slain officers.

"Ordinary oppressed people" ? Give me a break!

Nobody twisted this thugs arm to go out and kill someone, he did this on his own. Unfortunately four upstanding citizens that chose to protect and serve their community lost their lives. The police acted within full scope of their procedures and training.

Obama is half black and look where he is. Everyone has the opportunity in this country to better themselves. Some choose not to. That shouldn't be our fault. There is a city near where I live and they fixed up these old buildings into really nice affordable housing. The Mexicans, African Americans, etc, moved in and destroyed the place. Now they are crying because of their living conditions. They created it not us. I would never destroy my home and then go crying to someone about the condition of my home. Obama talks alot about helping the poor but first they have to want to help themselves.

Common sense and public responsibility has truly been turned upside down.

  64. sailing5660 says:

This isn't much different than the 2 border guards shooting at a drug smuggler and then the government brings this illegal drug smuggler back to the US to testify against the 2 border patrols. What has happened is that the government has allowed a lot of these people to come into this country and they have no regard for any laws. We have become a society were the gangs and illegals have far more rights than any of us here. What has happened to this country? Remember when the Vets came home from Viet Nam? This country is starting to treat its law enforcement the same way.
In Virginia a young female police officer is in jail for killing an illegal. She told him to stop and he kept running. She has a 5 year old son. We ask these police officers to put their life on the line every day and yet when they have to make a tough decision they are not backed up by the people or the court system.

  65. Jill says:

When I read this…I was just sick to my stomach. Since when did we become a county that stands up for a convicted felon and condemns those who serve and protect and were just doing their jobs? I can't imagine what this has done to the families of the officers. As a wife of a police officer, it is hard to imagine what I would do in this situation. I know that not all police officers are completely honorable, but I do think that the majority are. I am so proud of those that serve in law enforcement and work to keep our cities safe and protected. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the officers.

    • DamnYankee says:

Jill, I think we need to consider the mentality of a large section of our society. They have been lead to believe that the cops, all of them, are the enemy.

Nail on the head freemanredneck, the loud ignorant people cause great harm to those who are buisy working and bettering their lives to be bothered with marches and the like, then along comes a politition who decides the cops are wrong and should only carry tazers and pepper spray then when crime rates go up they ban more guns from individuals and so on and so on.those who dont beleive me just look at england

One other thing…these rap tunes that is called music that spews hate, killing , sex and drugs as acceptable information that is allowed to be instilled in children who are very impressionable… is a large part of why the younger generation think it's okay…sports figures that are allowed to play even though they beat up women, even though some belong in gangs, even though some have committed murder…It's not okay and our society has become complacent in allowing them to become role models to our children. They should be banned from sports immediately. The black community can start by not letting your chldren listen to music that promotes violence and filling their minds with things that are more productive that will educate them to want to go t to school instead of wanting to be that GANGSTA RAP STAR IF they can't afford it…there are libraries that allow you to check them out for free and where there is a will there is a way. IT STARTS AT HOME.

  70. I,stood in disbelief when this atrocity appeared on tv.The first shock was the killings-the second shock was the protesting by idiots for the murderer. I feel so sorry for the men & their families–but then I tried to find comfort in what Gen George S. Patton said : "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." God bless them all.

  71. scripturwog says:

The weapons being used are automatic weapons not semi autos which are sold in the U.S.. Automatic weapons are very hard to come buy here in the states and converter kits are harder to come buy. Most of these weapons are being smuggled from Central American countries or by sea, eluding U.S. and Mexican monitors who are focused on the smuggling of semi automatic and conventional weapons purchased from dealers in the U.S. border states. Alberto Islas, a security consultant who advises the Mexican government.says "There is an arms race between the cartels," These groups appear to be taking advantage of a robust global black market and porous borders, between Mexico and Guatemala. Some of the weapons are left over from the wars that the United States helped fight in Central America, U.S. officials have said.

  72. scripturwog says:

You are wrong as far as the cartels getting their weapons primarily from the U.S. The weapon of choice for the cartels is the FN P90, a Belgian designed sub machine gun that fires 5.7×28mm round, that has been shown to be effective in penetrating body armor as well as vehicle doors and windows. Because of this ability to punch through body armor, cartel enforcers call the weapons “matapolicias,” Spanish for “cop killers.” This and the FN Five-Seven pistol are highly prized and sought after. Some weapons do make it across the border and some are exchanged through the military but a large majority are coming up from the south.

  73. HollyInTN says:

the African American citizens of Oakland and other areas too are upset at the way the police officers that do bad things are protected but they do not see the most IMPORTANT ASPECT
The unions and liberals are burning both ends of that candle!
For example you have a police officer beat up that 15 year old girl right? It is on video for the world to see. The city knows it's wrong and wants to immediately fire the officer BUT he has a union behind him that says OH NO YOU CAN'T FIRE THIS OFFICER! YOU MUST SUSPEND WITH PAY AND DO AN INVESTIGATION BEFORE YOU CAN TAKE ANY ACTION!
Then the liberals comein, and get the folks all worked up against the city by acting as if IT IS THE CITY PROTECTING THE OFFICER!

  74. RJMiller says:

Sorry Wes, they are not looking for improvement, they are looking for someone to blame. I live in St. Petersburg, FL and our branch of the Uhurus has tried to stir public sympathy for several dead scumbags. The odd thing is that they never complain about the dead white scumbags. I live in the same area as many of the "downtrodden" and that claim is absolutely without merit. We have had riots due to some of these "uprisings" wherein the community burns. That being said, never doubt the responsive power of the lawfully armed, sleeping giant that is the framework of our society.

  75. bjmoran says:

As the wife of a police officer, I am disgusted by this story. Police officers sacrifice their lives every day to protect us and this is what they get in return. I understand the outrage when the white transit officer shot Oscar Grant in the subway station. Why when a black shoots a white is there not the same outrage. Not politically correct? That's baloney. No one should justify killing innocent people no matter who they are. We should all be outraged when innocent life is taken. Mr. Mixon is the poster boy for all things wrong with America. Things have got to change.

  76. BurchTree says:

I have only one question. Why haven’t we seen 600,000 people marching to support the police?

    • Fairman says:

I feel police have been confusing their duties with this feeling of empowerment over everyone else for some time. Forgive me not all officers let their badge and gun go to their head. It all starts with a lack of training and a misunderstanding of what it means to protect and serve. I am not siding with anyone, but how can four trained policeman lose their lives to one scared civilian. I think police academies in this country need to revisit their curriculum, it appears these officers failed to correctly assess the situation before acting.

      • scared civilian this guy was a hardened criminal who deliberatly shot and killed 4 police officers.I would love to see how the "citizens" of these areas would survive if the police decided not to do their job in those areas. Then I bet there would be public cries of "we are being disenfranchised" WAKE UP THE LAW ABIDDING CITIZENS OF THESE AREAS ARE NOT THOSE WHO ARE MARCHING IT IS THE FEW BEING LED BY THE CORUPT to cause division of the people.
If you look around with open eyes you will see the deliberate dividing of the people by the govt. and the main stream press the Aig bailouts all the anger causes an us vs. them mentality and this causes a police vs. citizens and a black vs. white all this division allows those in power to gain more and more controll think of the 9-12 and apply it to the situation.

      • JudgeCrater says:

How can anyone refer to this murdering scum bag as 'a scared civilian'? He is anything but. By the way, the vast majority of police officers in this country are indeed well-trained and do understand what it means to protect and serve. Your second-guessing of the officers' actions does them a grave disservice.

      • Roger says:

you obviously have never been in a life and death job and probably would pee your pants if you had. You have no understanding of what it is like to have a job where anyone anywhere at any time while you are doing your job could pull a gun and kill you.

    • POdPatriot says:

I don't understand why people would protest Mixon being killed AFTER he shot 4 police officers. Here lethal force is fought with lethal force.

I swear I think cries of racism have gotten worse, not better, since Obama was elected. He proved the black community is not "held back by the white man". He got as far as anyone of any color can possibly get in this country. How has Obama, a black man, been held back?

  80. angus731 says:

Our leftist Govt. and High Courts are social engineering all of this. Their master plan (if you will) is to force people to beg the government to take their freedoms away in the name of more safety and security. To do this, they have to demonize the cops and make them afraid to do their job. Cops can deal with danger but they can't deal with Lawyers and a court system that refuses to support them. In the not so distant future, the military or some form of "Brown Shirt" operation will replace the cops and we will be living in the Orwellian world of 1984. History repeats itself. Nazi Germany can easily happen in the US if we allow our out of control Government Leftist and their loyal ilk to nullify the constitution. The animals that celebrate the loss of good men in support of one murdering dirt-bag is just icing on the cake. Hold on to your constitution and get ready for more media supported theatre of the absurd.

    • kboyz759 says:

You couldn't have said it any better. In the late 1930's early 1940's there was a very charismatic leader in Germany. He was legally elected by a country that was very divided on issues and in economic turmoil. He slowly but surely went about changing the countries makeup through the effective use of propoganda and the legilature. Before anyone knew what happened laws weren't enforced through the courts anymore. Doors were kicked in and people had no rights whatsoever. I'm not saying that we are there but look at what's happening in our country on all fronts right now. Keep spreading the word.

It's not just blacks, there are members of every race that act like this. It's the entire welfare state that has a sence of entiltlement. When the government runs out of money for entitlement programs, it's THESE people who will make war with the citizenry. It's these people who will loot and kill. Just look at what happened in New Orleans after Katrina. That's going to happen on a nationwide scale. I work in an ER in East Texas. I saw white people that stayed at the SuperDome. I also took care of a black woman who's legs were swollen and blistered from WALKING through the flood waters to come to Texas. She was 26 weeks pregnant. That's the difference. When welfare goes away, you MUST protect yourselves from these people!

  84. Lakeland_Dad says:

This is not a California problem as band wagons are hopped on everywhere and by all walks of people. This is simply another entitlement/responcibility problem. This has been creeping into our lives daily. We are being told by our government that they can fix all of our problems whether they be social, ecconomic or even family. Many buy into this lie but the truth is that the only one responcible for you and who can fix your problems is you. Those who look at life as though it were supposed to be fair, Just do not have a healthy grasp of reality.

  91. Bill Pojunis says:

All thinking, decent, law-abiding people should show our support for the fallen officers and their families, as well as for the Oakland Police. These demonstrators have sullied the reputation of police officers performing their duty and tried to make excuses for a scumbag, rapist and cop killer. In each instance where a perpetrator draws down on a police officer, the only action to take is to go for a kill shot immediately, forget about wounding or trying to bring someone who would assault or attack or shoot at a police officer in to custody – save everyone the bother and expense. European justice in cases like that is swift and sure – if you are killed by a police officer, you are automatically guilty, there is no recourse. Our judges have all but emasculated the police in this country by accepting these ridiculous lawsuits against the police, appointing Civilian Review Panels, and so forth. We pay these people to serve and to protect, but we won't let them do either!

We all knew the dangers when we put the uniform on…damn shame that four good men had to pay the price. R.I.P. my brothers

  93. This is a perfect example of how ordinary opressed people turn into psycho terrorists. Oakland sucks. How can a city in the USA suck so bad that people protest in favor of a cop killer? The same reason that people in the third world protest in favor of terrorists. When people are pushed into a corner hard enough long enough, they will cling to ANYTHING. They will support anything they think will improve their meager existance even if only for a short time, street gangs, terror groups, communism, facism. Never doubt the destructive power of desparate people.

They allow their children to be members of gangs and as parents do nothing to stop it. It seems reasonable to me as a parent that if my child carried a gun and went out late at night with what appeared to no good intentions…I would take the time to know who their with, what they are doing and whether they should be doing it. and my children no matter where i lived would be part of a gang or allowed to sell drugs to become the OVERCLASS of black America. No. People here–even the poor–have more opportunities and more money then their counterparts in most of other countries in the world. Freaking out and killing 4 cops is no excuse. Why was he so desparate? Have you ever left this country and see how the rest of the world lives like? Blaming others for your lack of success is cowardly. Killing anyone for it, is a sign of mental disease.

Those that are protesting and admiring him, are just as dumb as he was. It takes a certain personality to achieve success–it is not guarranteed. Failing to recognize that and whinning about it, is not a solution. That is wrong with people these days–they all think they deserve better and more–they fail to recognize what they are worth–which is not much!

    • I do not see how you can compare these folks to people in third world countries. All of them were wearing shoes and none of them appeared to have missed a meal lately.
And "ordinary oppressed people" ? Give me a break!

My thought and prayers go out to the families of the slain officers. They deserve the attention, not the jerks on tv!

I can almost bet it was preplanned. Oakland has been in unrest since a BART officer shot a black man (it was videotaped – it appeared that the man was on the ground and complying & that the officer just stood up and shot him). I have friends on the Oakland police force and they agree that even though the police department isn't a part of BART (Bay Area Transit Rapid Transit), they are frequently targeted with all of the rioting going on. What is going on in Oakland is very similar to the L.A. riots after the Rodney King incident. And while the community is up in arms, there will be leech groups who will see this as an opportunistic time to protest. It's sad, but I can see a full-scale riot breaking out soon there.

Hello MBrado. I send you a smile…..for it was Karl Marx who said, and I'm paraphrasing, maybe, "I will hang the last capitalist with a rope of his own making."

I send you a smile MBrado because I live in the heart of flyover country. I send you a smile because hope is alive here in the heart of flyover country. I send you a smile because I not only live in the heart of flyover country, but hope is alive in my heart, and rugged individuals surround me.

Rugged individuals surround me and they are strong, not only as individuals but also as groups. We are very diverse as groups and individuals and I'm quite sure that combination of ideas will confuse many people.

The point is that individuals form groups here, and the groups form alliances and we all have the same goals and then we ACT as individuals.

    We are united.

We are capitalists, Marx be damned!

My heart truly goes out to the families of the fallen officers. They have one of the hardest, most dangerous jobs there is, plus, the are way underpaid. It's a tragedy when anyone falls in the line of duty.

Rosie O'Donnell and her anti-guns friends are calling for more and more gun regulations. Well, if guns are regulated the way Rosie wants, the only people with guns will be the criminals, the police, and the armed forces. Does Rosie honestly think that criminals who commit crimes with guns bought them at Wal Mart and registered them? I don't think so. Remember, Rosie, when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns!

Personally, I don't own a gun at the present time. But it seems that perhaps I should. I'll keep you posted.
