THERE IS NO EMERGENCY!! IT'S JUST ANOTHER WAY TO TAX US! THEY ARE LYING TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE UNDER THE PRETENSE OF THE CLIMATE. AL GORE IS BEING PAID OFF BY THE ELITISTS OF THE WORLD WHO THINK THAT THERE ARE TO MANY PEOPLE IN THE WORLD USING TO MANY OF THE WORLDS RESOURCES. THIS IS THERE WAY OF ELIMINATING LIVES!! GOOGLE "THE OBAMA DECEPTION" IT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.

As someone, I think it was Shakespeare (Edward Murrow?), once said, "The Problem, dear Horatio, lies NOT in our stars…….but in ourselves. The 3rd (of 28) principal from the book "The 5000 Year Leap" states, "The most promising method of securing a virtuous and morally stable people is to elect virtuous leaders. I'm pretty sure that, before his 'hundred' days are up, George (as in Curious George) will have violated most of the 9 principals, and pretty much all of the 12 values!

HANK, another thought would be to put it on the ballot in all 50 states. A chance once a year to vote out the garbage. Putting it on the ballot, and into law keeps it out of the politions hands, and back in ours. they'll get the message loud, and clear, and we can all help taking out the trash.LOL

  4. Wesley0618 says:

What can we do ? We can stop having elitists picking who we vote for and start finding candidates that will support Fair Tax and Term Limits, and last but not least the CONSTITUTION.

We can turn this around, We surround Them

How do you eat an elephant ? One bite at a time.

I'm with you except for this:

"2: George W. Bush will become the President of the Republic of
Texas .You might not think that he talks too pretty, but we haven't had another
    terrorist attack,"

By the way, I'd like to sell you space alien insurance. Every client who has had my insurance has never had a space alien attack!

"and the economy was fine until the effects of the Democrats lowering the qualifications for home loans came to roost."

I strongly recommend you do more reading on this subject. Bush lowered the qualifications to some degree and encouraged Fannie and Freddie to buy more subprime loans. He did not move us into the direction of a more free market, he just continued Clinton's policies more slowly. He did not protest to the reigning view of Keynesian stimulus as the solution to recession. As soon as he came in office, he faced a strong recession and therefore took action to stimulate the economy, and Greenspan cooperated and dropped interest rates to 1 percent. Obama has entered the scene with a worse scenario, but he's doing the exact same thing; he is reinflating a bubble that hasn't been allowed to fully burst since the 70s. Reagan allowed a great deal of correction to occur, but not all of it was resolved in part because he ran a heavy debt (one of the biggest regrets he had about his administration). More government spending (Bush's policy as well as Obama's) will always maintain unproductive entities and prevent the private market from fully correcting faulty institutions and mechanisms. If Bush had allowed the first recession in 2001 to run its course and had not interfered (and bragged about how short the recession was), the current crisis would be less severe. Recessions are not a problem, they are a solution.

" I learned in the military to "improvise, adapt and to overcome obtacles that get into my way, not conduct myself with excuses."

We did improvise, we fled Kalifornia. That was the obstacle to overcome. We adapted by being succssful and productive in a new state, AZ. Improvise, adapt and overcome, Yes I agree that is what we did, as a family.

"If every conservative leaves CA, there will be no one left to remove those who would strip away your rights no matter what state you live in"

Give the man a cigar "ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!!"

"Kenny Rodgers was speaking of poker not politics."

WTF, is not Politics playing poker with our future.

"Please do not align yourself with those who have faced combat like in the Alamo who gave Austin time to build his army knowing they would all die."

Why not, were these not some of the bravest in our history?

  7. Then he called us "bitter, gun- and Bible-clinging." Then John Murtha called us racist and redneck-TWICE. They BOTH got elected! It's dumbfounding.

We tried here in PA to get people to understand the ramifications of what these scumbags said about us. I volunteered at McCains election office making phone call after phone call reminding voters what they said. Me and dozens of other people were calling even on election day to remind people of those very same words. Sometimes we got hung up on, cussed out ,and once even threatened. Its like nobody wanted to admit he said that about us. They just gave him a pass on that and every other issue; Ayers, Wright, Rezcko, birth certificate, Joe the plumber, his crazy wife, his illegal aunt, the "punished by a baby" comment……..

I think people voted more against Bush than for Obama. Its the only thing that makes sense to me. I've spent every day since Nov.4 trying to figure it out and that's all I have.

  8. vagirl says:

I am not sure where you live, but a March on Washington on 4th of July really wouldn't be the best of ideas. First and foremost, Congress is not in session. And the amount of people that are here to view the fireworks would make it very difficult. The press coverage wouldn't be that great. If we are going to do this we need to do it when Congress is in session.
I live 10 miles outside of DC, and I will tell you getting into DC on the 4th is a nightmare. Great fireworks, but horrible traffic.
Lets do it, but do it at time when it will have a greater impact.

Cap and Trade is absolutely a horrible idea at any time, but especially during this terrible economic recession in the USA. This tax would be IMMORAL and endanger businesses and indivuduals even more than all the other insane ideas coming out of this Administration and the people in Congress who live in "La La Land".

    • mtnman says:

Seat/7b, The politations don't live in an economic recession, plus they don't even know where Main ST. is. We used to be called the Middle Class. I'd like to put a cap on the administration, and trade all the politations. I wounder if all the bums in the govt. who are screaming about the AIG bonuses, would give back all the campaign money given to their campaigns. Maybe we can get a list started with their names, and the amounts. Lets see how mouthy they would then. I know Obama "GOT WELL OVER $100,000"

  11. pslwd says:

This will be a huge tax burden to our society!!! Obama has put the cart before the horse. We do not have the technology yet to impose these taxes on carbon emissions. This country is not going to solve the pollution problems by ourselves anyhow. This is a worldwide problem and most of the world does not care. China, India, Mexico, Saudia Arabia, etc. are all huge polluters.

  12. Madisonlives says:

This nearly passed last year in an election year. The recent news about the deficits extending in large amounts for years to come makes this unlikely to pass. Nonetheless, its potential harm justifies attention. ANy attempt to stop this thing has to be grass roots. One idea is to take estimates of what every day products will cost under the cap and trade system and have Beck run this as a stream at the bottom of his show. Another might be to have someone sick John Stossel on this in a similar light. In the end, the people have to rise up to stop this thing and the only way to do it is to demonstrate the harm to their pocket books.

  13. Madisonlives says:

This is proposal is the type of thing that makes you wonder whether Obama and the democrats and the rinos are doing this on purpose or whether this is an attempt at socialism or whether they just lack the understanding of how a capitalist system is supposed to operate.

  14. stormdog says:

Ladies and gentleman the problem of our socialist government can only be solved at the grassroots level. We need to have a veto proof conservative majority in place in the congress after the 2012 election. Don't think that the liberals in charge don't know what they are doing to the economy, they do. They have already co opted the "poor" with entitlements. They are now trying to do the same thing with the middle class. When they have enough people in the "entitlement" class to keep them in power, which is their ultimate goal, America as we know it will be gone forever. Don't blame Obama for the state of the economy, he is only doing what he said he was going to do. To find the person at fault you merely need to look in the mirror. Yes, I am including myself in this indictment. I should have done more and so should have you. Am I greedy and selfish? Yes I am. I want everything I earn and 1 want to keep everything I think I need. You don't have to feed a stray dog many times to teach him where to eat. Can a human being be much harder to train? The socialist are doing a very good job of training them and they are doing it with your money and mine. It is time to stop defining the problem and start formulating the solution.

California is a loosing battle, The Lib's are in control the union goons dump in tons of dollars to support these vermin, there is nothing wrong in leaving (fleeing) to better your own families life. We left over six years ago and have been better off ever since. I grew up there, owned two homes, started my family and was a partner in a business there, I too have taken on impossible odds, we were ahead of the curve when we left, by leaving, starting a new business from scratch in a new state, we are better off now than if we had stayed. California is a disease and fleeing was the cure for us."

You bring up a good point L1m89. When people migarate they need to adapt to the new atmosphere. To move somewhere and try to make it like where you left, you may as well never even have moved. Just like all the coultures and religions that have moved here to the United States. If all of us had not let the libs start this diversity BS in the first place some of this tripe would not even be going on. DO NOT GET ME WRONG. Knowing about other coultures is great but not when I have to start paying for prayer rooms and foot baths for muslims. Not when I have to use differant language around them. Not when their traditiions supeseed the American way.

  18. WHAT IF???

What if we all just kept what is our own? The only thing this administration seems to understand is how to spend our money. I believe that the entrenched governmental powers that be have forgotten that the money they play with is truly ours. Just like any errant child, our discipline for them could be withholding what they seem to be having the most trouble with.

My husband and I amended our W4 to stop all withholding. We will decide next year to do with what we owe. If EVERYONE on this site did the same – not pay in payroll taxes and then decide next year what to do with it, then I believe that they will stand up and take notice. Hit 'em where it hurts – the wallet. It is OUR money, and they need to be reminded about his.

The love of money is the root of all evil – by keeping what is ours during the year, we can show them for what they really are – money hungry, power hungry people in need of a wake-up call. This is especially interesting for our family as we are military, and our salary is paid by your taxpayer money.

Phone calls seem to not work, mailing tea bags will be stopped before they get to the president. All i can see when I think of this administration is "the ivory tower" – leadership who is completely out of touch with the rest of the country. The only way to make them stand up and take notice is to stop their flow of funding – our taxes.

That would be a REAL tax "Tea Party" if we all kept what is ours to begin with.

FreeontheInside! I LIKE it! I am going to amend my W4 first thing in the A.M. and encourage everyone I know and even some I don't know to do the same. If enough of us join together and do this, right now, there will be an almost immediate effect. Well, at least a whole lot quicker than if we wait to go vote them out! Our beloved nation cannot wait for us to go back to the polls to fix this. We must take action now, that will have an effect "now", and not leave any room for doubt about the message we are sending.
We already know the secretaries, aides and assistants to our Representatives, both in the House and in Congress will not pass on any "negative" messages, regardless of how they are delivered, (IE: e-mail, snail mail, telephone, fax, carrier pigeon, etc.). We also know the 'mainstream' media will not cover any 'protests' if it means divulging the nature of the complaint(s). The point is, we HAVE to catch someone's eye or ear or wallet to get them to listen to "WE THE PEOPLE" and what we have to say about the atrocities of this administration. Let's get the word out! This is a positive step we can all take, in unison, that cannot be stopped before it gets started. Forget the tea bag (though it was a good idea), let's just keep what is already ours. You are brilliant FreeontheInside.

Reach out to the other WST groups in your area, move on to your county or parrish, move to state level, and so on. We can do this. Use the technology. We must have hundreds of tech-savvy people who can link us together. Data bases, Twitter, You Tube—-whatever it takes. You know, "grass roots" with teeth. AND, ( and I can't emphasize this enough), we MUST get the young people involved.
For heaven's sake, what are we waiting for

    • dave64 says:

I`ve been saying this on other web sites. I`m primarily a freeper on Freerepublic.com but I`ve been pushing for more interaction with other groups. Would you consider joining and maybe we can begin to form the basis of an alliance of sanity?

  21. PMM says:

Well, everyone, WE HAVE THE MECHANISM in place to start our own "ACORN" type group. WE HAVE "WE SURROUND THEM" FOLKS ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY! We just need to link together, get organized, and get out there spreading the word—peacefully but with strength and respect. We can be in shopping malls and public places, ballgames, and neighborhoods. We have the right to peacefully assemble. If we need permits for these venues, or to go door to door, surely there are those among us who know the ordinances, and the correct and lawful way to do things. I cannot and will not believe that there is more brain power in ACORN than in the rest of us.
If we have two or three hours a week to blog, then we take those two or three hours to talk to our neighbors and community. Continued below………

    • dave64 says:

Try going to other internet sites and join them, ask if they wish to form alliances with your group.Thats the key to grassroots organizing,a broad front.Beware though, many of the established groups can be very self absorbed and insular.I`ve been doing this for some time and have been flamed more times then I care to remember.

The only way to get anyone's attention is to remove them ( SENATORS AND WELL ANY GOVERMENT OFFICIAL) from office now. This would be a big statement to all the idiots in Washington. Waiting until the next election has LITTLE effect, because the damage they can cause while we wait for the next election, we may not be able to fix.

    We all have the key…….

Who is paying for all of this ???????

    We the people…..

Why am I submitting my taxes on or before 15-Apr?

Maybe a 30 day delay by millions of Americans would send a message?

Like a damn fool I end up paying more tax each year and getting a refund….like an interest free loan to the Fed…..hmmm why am I doing this?

Can anyone comment on the legality of claiming 99 depends during the year so to pay lower taxes during the year but have a bill on 15Apr? Maybe a modern day tea party..since no one cares about tea anymore…

  24. djemi says:

    This is just unreal:

    From the Telegraph:

A London employment tribunal has ruled that Tim Nicholson, right, was wrongly dismissed as a property firm’s “head of sustainability because of his fervent commitment to “climate change.” Mr Nicholson had fallen out with his colleagues over his attempts to reduce the company’s “carbon footprint.”

The tribunal chairman David Neath found the company guilty of discriminating against Mr Nicholson under the 2006 Equality (Religion and Belief) Regulations, because his faith in global warming was a “philosophical belief.”

Recalling how “eco-psychologists” at the University of the West of England are pressing for “climate denial” to be classified as a form of “mental disorder,” one doubts whether the same legal protection would be given to those who fail to share Mr Nicholson’s “philosophical belief.”

Dumbfounded at how out of control this AGW has become.

what's remarkable is that he carried the voters in both PA and OH during the election!

also notable is that the predicted impact of C&T on each of us is an estimated $100-$150/mo increase per household in our utility bills.

why anyone voted for this clown continues to amaze me!

to quote a responder to the townhall.com article,
"The dam fool part is that C&T here could have no possible effect on global warming, since the rest of the world is blissfully continuing to increase emission of the greenhouse gases which may or may not be responsible for the warming which may or may not be occuring. "

This is absolutely the truth, and I can't possibly say it any better.

I'm 24, I live in the south, and I don't see how C&T is going to even make a dent in the problem.

  28. Marks890 says:

    Gregory,
Obama got the "ignorant" vote indeed. You won't see nearly the same turn out during the mid term elections. This is when we can take Obama's power away so this is very important!!!
Obama supporters for the most part voted a straight party ticket. What we need is to do is get angry voters to the polls and fire these clowns in congress.
We also need to get conservatives to run in all democrat states like Virginia.

  29. L1M89 says:

You maybe a lonely conservative in NY yet be assured you're not a lone conservative. If you lead, others will follow and for now we're all united through the internet. However alternate sources of communication may soon become mandatory since our FedGov controls the internet and y‘all know how untrustworthy FedBots are. What are our alternatives, does anyone know, anybody?

  30. The moral of the story is that we sold out our own kids to save 25-50 cents. Now the Radical Left has the country believing that to apply for a job screwing in light bulbs requires a DEGREE in Incadescent and Floresent engineering! Don't believe me? Check the want ads for jobs anyone could do with some simple training and let their wings expand and you'll see you need a degree in something. Whats worse is the average american that is 45 and older has forgotten more that those degrees repesent. So the moral is "WE DO IT TO OURSELFS BECAUSE SOME IDIOT SAYS SO"!

The exact same thing has been going on in politics for at least 5 decades.
